This book is great at taking time together and turning it towards the future.
I found it helpful in moving our thoughts and conversations from the 'now' to the 'far off'.

It takes you through a range of questions to guide each of you to find out well who the other person is and who you are in a relationship. As well as offering some good insights into how you may function together in marriage.

I am really enjoying going through this book a few questions at a time.

Very helpful!

I was asked to Guest Lecturer at a Undergraduate University on the broad topic of marriage. I searched the internet for some new resources to accompany the ones I already owned. I came across this book available on Kindle and downloaded it b/c I had heard of the author. I was able to incorporate many key points from this book. The students responded very well to the lecture and I was able to pass along this resource to several who asked specifically about what constitutes the purpose for dating and marriage. The author lays out a generalized construct for the purpose of marriage using a few key Scriptures. Each question he outlines is concise and stated well. It is an easy read and will help any couple searching to know if they are ready to undertake the very beautiful and life changing relationship designed by God to be one for His glory until death do us part.

This book, "101 Questions to Ask Before You Get Engaged", has been a very useful communication tool in my relationship. My boyfriend and I have been going out for approximately one year and two months, yet this book touches on many areas deeper than we have previously discussed. We are both Christian in faith, and although the book does touch on some matters of religion, it does not specify one in particular. Multiple times my boyfriend and I would be discussing the questions (in the book) only to have the conversation lead to another topic-still in importance, but just one we had not yet discussed- it really allows openness!

This book was very interesting. I have been divorced and there is a section in the back to fill out if you've ever been married before that I thought was very beneficial and insightful. It made you really think about the similarities and differences between a former spouse and your current partner.
As far as the 101 questions are concerned, there is a good mix. Some of the questions elicit the same type of response as other questions, but overall they cover a wide variety. I would definitely recommend this product to anyone in a serious dating relationship.

My fiance and I completed this book before we got engaged and we felt like it helped us see more about each other. Many questions we'd already discussed and others we never even thought of! Great for a solid truthful relationship.

This book is incredibly helpful for a couple that is considering moving to the next level of commitment. Very insightful questions that you many never think of asking your boyfriend/girlfriend. I highly recommend it to anyone that would like to get to know their dating partner better.

This book has so many relevant questions to explore with your possibly future spouse. Take it seriously or don't do it at all and you will, if you have not before, know yourself better as well as your study partner.

Multiple divorces run in dad's side of the family, the kids didn't want to end up following those footsteps and thought this book might help
with knowing which issues and questions discuss with fiances prior to the wedding day.
It has helped clarify each aspect of the future daily life together without the disaster of assumptions.

I would recommend this product to all serious couples because it helps answer a lot of questions about each other that don't normally crop up in conversation or every day occurrences. Some of the questions can be very personal, and if you don't feel ready to broach them in your relationship, leave them for a time. As Wright says in the introduction, the answers to these questions will come out eventually, so it's better to go into marriage with your eyes wide open. After each question, Wright also gives an explanation of why that question is important, what to look for in a spouse (try not to be opposites on this, or avoid a person that gives this kind of answer, etc) and provides additional discussion questions.

Although Wright warns that you may find you and your partner are incompatible, I have actually grown closer to my man and feel confident stepping into marriage with him. This book also provided ways to finally get him to open up and talk about some of those internal issues that he is really good at shoving down inside.

Most couples spend more time in selection of their china pattern than in asking questions about their expectations before entering into marriage. Most pastors insist on counseling before they perform the marriage. This is good for couples getting married by a Judge or someone other than a pastor.

It's worth going through these questions before you say I do. As a wise woman once said. It's better to wish you were than wish you weren't. Marriage is suppose to be a life giving, transforming relationship, don't jump in blind.

This book highlighted so many important topics to talk about with someone you are considering marrying. Questions you would never think of on your own! It made me fall in love with my boyfriend after going through it together.

A lengthy if somewhat mildly repetitive question and answer with Christian insights below each question. This book was really productive for my fiance and I as we wanted to actively make steps to make sure we knew each other on all levels and deepness before making long term commitments.
