Great read, especially since it was set in areas within my home state. Believable and interesting way of bringing actually Aires landmarks and areas into the story.

Very Indiana Jones like ending

What a great book Sean Wyatt is a great character. He is on the hint for his best friend who has been kidnapped. Sean has to uncover the clues to try and find out where there headed for. I love the book, it keeps you on the edge of you seat, and every spare second i was reading. Then you can follow Mr. Dempsey and read one of his novelas with Sean again. Thank you so much for a great bood and novela !!!!

The story is interesting but there is something about the writing style that is unlikeable. The story doesn't flow smoothly due to the author's quest to make everything as descriptive as possible. Had I not bought the entire series, I would not continue past the first book. Oh, and this guy loves his adverbs. I think I counted 5 "instantly"s on one page.
THE WAY OF GRACE (A Miller's Creek Novel Book 3) :: Love at Last (Last Frontier Lodge Novels Book 2) :: Smoke Jensen, The Beginning (A Smoke Jensen Novel) :: A Small Town Military Romance (Lucky Flats Ranchers Book 2) :: A Lucy Guardino FBI Thriller Novel (Lucy Guardino FBI Thrillers Book 1)

The best stories seem to combine fact and fiction. This is not an exception.
Good pace and just enough believability. I wish to have the same mix of friends with the special knowledge to solve a mystery.

I loved this book! Being originally from Georgia I really enjoyed how the historical fiction plot line took me on a tour of the state. The story is similar to "National Treasure." The characters were believable, however I would have liked to know more about Allyson. The end holds a unsurprising climax but still a fun read. I took one star off for those two points.
I would definitely recommend this book.

The book really did keep my interest. I think it was well written. The characters were vivid in my mind and the story line was consistent. I would definitely recommend both the book and the author.

I don't typically read detective stories but so glad I read this one. The mix of intrigue and history made this exciting and I wanted to find out more about the places mentioned. Great read ! I will choose this author and Sean Wyatt again.

This book was very interesting and I enjoyed reading about Native American Indians and some history in the area in which I grew up. It kept me reading and regretting when I had to lay the book down. i could not wait to pick it up again. I am looking forward to reading the next book in this series.

Yet another historical thriller that I hated to have to put down. This series is as good if not better than the last one I read. Please keep writing, and I promise to keep reading. Oh and don't pull a RR Martin and kill off Sean and Tommy, that would suck.

I enjoy historic fiction and "The Secret of the Stones," rises to the top of my list. Started reading it on the airplane and did not want the plane to land, as I would have to stop reading it. No problem, I read it at night after a day's worth of activities and finished the tale early in the morning. The characters are truly believable.

I like thrillers in general.

This is a spy/detective/archeological fiction story. Not the best and not the worst.

I like my heroes and heroines with a little more common sense and certainly I like villains to be "bad guys" but also to be intelligent. This is readable but rather bland.

A fair book, not my cup of tea, though.

This was fun historical thriller and a fast read. Excellent character development and imaginative story line. Sign of a good book to me is when I have to Google places to see their actual beauty and learn of places I will not be able to get to this time around! Thank you Ernest Dempsy and now I'm on to the 2nd book in this enjoyable trilogy. You definitely have talent and I'm thankful I found you. Also thanks the store! :)

An interesting book some Indiana Jones with mystery and intrege thrown in to keep you guessing what's coming next. A good start for a new series. Carictor development is good. A little more history than necessary but not distracting and does help the story. If you like adventure try it.
I'll look for the next in the series.
