I loved the patience and maturity that Matt consistently showed. I also liked the suspense of the story. I would have liked more light on (1) the apparent hostility of Grace's dad towards her at the beginning, (2) the outcome of the David Simmons case (3) the motive of involving Grace in throwing the case. I do hope there will be a follow-up story on Matt and Grace.

I finished the book because I kept thinking it had to get better. It didn't. After reading this one, I am not inclined to read any more of this series. Too many stories in one book; too many things that just did not make sense.

The Way of Grace, #3 A Miller’s Creek Novel***** by Cathy Bryant

Law school graduate, Graciela—Grace Soldano, is back home in Miller’s Creek and is working for the law firm, Tyler, Dent and Snodgrass as an attorney. As she works alongside her boss and fellow attorneys, she stumbles upon something that has her puzzled and concerned. She decides to take matters into her own hands and search for the truth. But that search brings about unforeseen dangers—even life threatening—and serious consequences. Then there is Matt Tyler—he isn't like the well groomed professionals Grace works for, however he is handsome.

Matt longs to spend his life with Grace but she has other ideas as to who her “perfect mate” should be and he doesn't fit that idea. How does he get her to see beyond his attire and to who he really is? When Grace is in danger he is determined to keep her safe, but will he be able to when she is in the most danger?

Grace's story is one that gripped me and held on to the end. Some of what she went through were consequences from choices she had made to do the right thing. Evil lurks and tension builds as the danger becomes very real. I went back and forth as to who I thought the evil villain was and was kept on the edge of my seat as I read. I wanted Grace to see that Matt really loved her and to give him a chance. I like how Matt and Grace's faith was very much a part of their lives. Grace finally realized what true grace is—grace only God gives, which changed everything for her. Tragedy strikes and Grace faces a very different life than she had planned for. Matt stays at her side, showing her with unconditional love. Broken lives are changed, forgiveness, suspense, sacrifice, danger, tragedy, faith and love intertwined with the message of God's Grace making this a gripping, heartwarming story.

The Way of Grace is a refreshing Christian drama/romance that opened my eyes to true living by God's grace. How sufficiently He supplies it to us, but how reluctantly we are to give to others. It also showed staying faithful in God's word and trusting Him to lead at every moment will give the results he intends for us.

I think we all struggle with learning the difference between our perceived will of God and His. By His grace Graciela comes to know the perfection of His love and the earthly love He has purposes her for.

What a wonderful story with a strong Christian love story that shows the way God can use unusual life experiences to honor Himself . I also found the idea of Grace and justice something to consider in a new way.

I was intrigued by the title when I downloaded the book onto my Kindle. When I began reading it, I thought I knew where the story was going but it took an unexpected turn and then another. It kept me intrigued and I finished the book in an afternoon.

Cathy has done it again! Her books just keep getting better. With an air of mystery, this book grabs and holds the reader's attention from the start. Rather than just a "predictable" book, the story takes some unexpected twists and turns. It's not just a "happily ever after" book; instead, the reader encounters a story of danger, courage, life-changing choices, love, and the amazing grace of God.
