I love Gabbie and i was super pumped about this book and i still enjoy it even after noticing that most of the poems are rip offs of others. In a lot of them the poem is rephrased and she'll change up the words a little bit and put it out as something brand new but she said she was inspired by others and gave credit so i'm giving it 4 stars overall because the illustrations and a lot of the poems were very good enough to overlook the not so orginal ones. Great read for youth and adults and you will enjoy it!

I have been watching Gabbie for over a year now, and I've watch her grow and developed into the beautiful woman she is today. When I first started watching her, she was full of anxiety and obviously has low self-esteem. However, once she started reading her old poems and changed her hair, she became a different person, and for the better. I can tell she's going to reach her full potential. I hope she continues with her poems because she's so talented. I wish for the best of Gabbie. If you see this, I want you to know, I'll always be your fan.

I read this beautiful, and intricate collection of poems cover to cover, all at once. Each entry really compels you to read more. The book is also something I'll find myself reading again or skip around through in the future.
I found a lot of poems relatable and others I actually found myself not necessarily agreeing with, per say in how I think and my perspective. But that is the true beauty of this peice of art. You as a reader get an insight of who Gabbie is and some of what she has gone through and how it has affected her. Seeing this nature of the book and how it flows is captivatingly human in the most imperfectly perfect way.

12/10. Gabbie, I hope you see this comment! You are my favorite YouTube personality ever! The book is probably one of the best books I've read in the last year! I don't have a favorite poem, because the whole book is my favorite. Hit you right in the feels on the first page! I'm so proud and happy for you Gabbie. For the book, for Out Loud! I love you and I'm sure you'll have more for us in the future keep up the great work!!

I loved this book because it is clearly very personal. I felt a connection to a lot of the poetry and I love the illustrations. I can tell that Gabbie put a lot of work into it and hopefully she is inspired to make more. If I had anything bad to say about the book, it is that I wish I had ordered the pink cover vs. the blue. Same content obviously, but the pink were limited and special. Anyway, Gabbie if you read this review, just keep up the good work and staying positive. You deserve your success.

This book is wonderfully written and illustrated. I related to so many of the poems and I believe growing up it would've helped knowing others understood some of the "teenage angst" I was going through.

I read this book in two days, if was like I only meant to read a few pages and next thing I know I’m on page 186. Gabbie Hanna’s poems range from so many different emotions that make you laugh, think and feel sad. I loved reading almost every single poem and can’t wait for the next one!

It's such a good book tbh. Not everyone is going to relate to her poems though because they're like about struggle and depression so not everyone has gone through stuff like that. Either way I love Gabbie and I highly recommend this book. (Also by Out Loud on iTunes. Cause it's a song she wrote based on one of her poems and it's just an amazing song)

Okay GABBIE is one of the most inspiring YouTubers, imo! I love her and this book so freaking much! This book is so good and insightful and funny, I audibly laughed multiple times when the next page made me tear up in relating. I love it a lot. Def recommend

If you haven’t added this book to your wish list add it, then add it to your cart & make it a final order. I have not yet read past the acknowledgments & I am getting emotional. If any author/YouTuber/Vlogger/Creator is making their own path, Gabbie is the one otherwise you’re missing out.

It's no "milk + honey", but it was a decent read. She has some deep poems scattered through it that I could connect with, but most came across a bit scattered and lacking anything deeper than just what you would hear in a discussion among friends. I don't think it helped that it was an audible and often times her voice was a bit more bubbly that I think fit the poems; it made it hard to take her seriously. :-\

The poems aren't really poems and they lack depth...definitely a book for a very young audience, which surprised me because of how much I enjoyed the lyricism of Gabi's song Out Loud. I expected a lot more from this book and really tried to like it but I just didn't.

I love Gabbie and am a follower of her from her youtube videos. I wanted to like this book, but it falls a little short in my opinion. I respect the different approach from the typical youtube book deal kind of thing and she turned it into something she was passionate about, which if you watch her vlog channel you know she cared so much about this. It was a good first attempt, I am interested in seeing where she will go in her second book (Im assuming she will write).
Why do I think it falls a little short? Its very relatable humor which was funny at times, and annoying and unnecessary at others. I could see she wanted to get a little personal but didn't feel a personal connection while reading it. Lastly she broke a "fourth wall" which I thought was untasteful for poetry. What I mean by this was that we knew she had a book deal just by some poems in the book and you can tell she needed to make a page minimum. It felt like she had a few solid poems with a lot of short "I need more poems to Finnish" kind of a thing.
Overall, illustrations were beautiful and I am proud of her. I hope to see her only improve and go up from here. Maybe next book she will get #1.

So far, Adultolescence claims the travelling trophy for "Hardest Book to Review in 2018." There were parts that made me laugh and cry. There were parts that hit so close to home it was unreal. And then there was the grammar...ouch.
Now, don't get me wrong. I understand that this is a book of poetry and that poetry doesn't have to be formatted the same way as prose. HOWEVER I had a really hard time with all of the use of text speech. "rn" and "bc" really annoyed me after a while. The most frustrating part, though, was that the personal pronoun "I" was never capitalized. I understand that overall her abhorrent use of grammar and her lack of capitalization was an artistic choice. What I don't understand is how she can pen so many poems that talk about individuality and the importance of being yourself, but SHE DOESN'T FREAKING CAPITALIZE THE I. When I teach this concept to my students, I tell them that we capitalize it because they matter. I specifically make them say "I capitalize I because I matter." I want them to develop positive self-thoughts and to develop as independent individuals. How can someone who claims to do so ignore the capitalization here? Alternatively, how am I that anal? (I'm curious, tell me in the comments...)
This book is chock full of comical moments. The illustrations are delightful and truly do a terrific job of sending home Hanna's messages. There are a variety of overarching themes, and I believe that all of them would be beneficial to high school students. I am not sure that I would choose to buy it for my classroom library, mainly because curse words are common and there is talk of getting drunk and hangovers. In my school, these are not community standard.
Overall, I enjoyed this book. I think Hanna intended it more for college students, but I most definitely believe that high school students will be able to relate to parts of it as well.

This is the first poetry book I've ever picked up by choice and it's about what I expected it to be. This book doesn't take itself seriously in most of the poems. It features a dark and sarcastic type of humor (in a few poems) and has a few gems in that department.
I enjoy the dramatic and overly expressive stories Gabbie posts on her youtube channel, so I wasn't expecting this novel to be a masterpiece of timeless poems to be appreciated and treasured throughout history. This was a fun, fluffy and at times dark book, all the while bringing attention to bullying and a few other issues throughout the novel.
Favorite Poetry Lines:
"My art form is heartache peppered with delusions of grandeur"
"I'm the cockiest most insecure confident self-conscience self-assured anxious proud self-loathing person I know."

I am speechless. This book was my fantastic! It made me think deeply, cry, and laugh. This was honestly one of the best books I've ever read. Her illustrations were absolutely amazing. I was in shock when I first opened the book. I read it cover to cover in less than an hour. i had no idea a book could be so funny and deep at the same time. I'm utterly amazed.

When I began this particular collection, I was unsure of how to feel about what I was reading. I have never read anything like Adultolescence. I didn’t do any prior research or skimming through any of the pages. I literally saw it and bought it because the cover was cool haha. I also had never seen any of Gabbie’s videos via YouTube. So it took me some research to understand some of her pieces and art based on YouTube stars. Her work reminded me a lot of Shel Silverstein which makes sense considering she mentions he is used as inspiration for this collection. Once I began to understand some the background of it, I began to embrace her work. I laughed, some of it stung a little and a lot of it made me feel warm inside. I admired her approach on tough subjects. How she both made light of them but also brought light upon them. It’s an adult version of ‘Where the Sidewalk Ends’ and I love that.

OMG THIS BOOK WAS SO AMAZING!!!
I read this cover to cover and I loved every word. I'm a bookaholic so when I heard the Gabbie was FINALLY coming out with something I was like "BUYYYY!" My favorite poems include: BFF, Adultolescence, Hide, and Fin. I relate so much to these, I legit started crying when I read them. Good job, Gabbie. ❤

I read this one day at work, it was just hanging out in the poetry section. I was like “Hey, I’ve seen her on Facebook. Her videos are pretty funny. Let’s check it out.” Mind you, I’m not much of a poetry reader, which my boss is slowly trying to change. I have tried writing some before. It’s just not my thing really. But Gabbie did a great job I think.
Some poems are great! Some are hilarious (like laugh-out-loud funny), others are more serious and actually hit you in the feels. A lot of them rhyme, which is nice. Since I’m not a huge poetry reader, having something rhyme makes it easier for me to follow. There are a few very clever dry humor moments, which I enjoyed a lot. I am a very sarcastic person, so I love dry humor. The drawings are so cute.
I admire Gabbie for putting herself out there, even more so than in her Youtube/ Facebook videos. There is a lot of her in this book. I felt like we had been long time friends just chatting and her telling me random things about herself. It was nice to get a peak into her mind.
If you like her YouTube channel. check it out!

All internet fame and fandom aside, this book is seriously a great work of art. The poetry is modern, fresh, and inspiring. The topics and themes are relevant, and I can feel her spirit in the pages. I think someone would be able to even if they had never seen her on any other platform. Definitely a staple of my collection!

It's a cute book. The drawings are creative and the little poems are... cute. I had expected the book to reflect the lyrical stylings of her song, "Out Loud," but sadly I was mistaken. It is definitely intended for a younger demographic. It comes off more as adolescent than Adultolescence.

Don't get me wrong, Gabbie is great. She is talented and I had high hopes for this book. However, I really wish people would stop inflating their reviews to have a possibility of getting her attention or on her snapchat story. In an honest summary, this book was not very good. The poems lacked depth and were almost all rhymed in very CHEESEY ways. It was like reading a bad Dr. Seuss knockoff. She does not know enough about poetry to make a book out of it because if she did know enough about it she would know that the best poetry written is focusing on the content and the fact that they don't rhyme. The rhymes are okay every once in a while but when it is every poem it seems childish and like an amateur move. Overall, Gabbie has a lot of talents and is super entertaining. I will continue to watch her videos and you should too. If she writes another book (I would suggest a biography), I will buy it and read it. Overall, I just wanted to be honest. This book was not given enough time, effort, or expertise in the genre. However the illustrations were INCREDIBLE! She is a very talented artist and should continue to do what she is good at, but poetry is just not her thing.

I bought my copy of Adultolescence on September 24th, 2017 at Barnes & Noble at Gabbies Pittsburgh meet & greet/ book tour. I brought my 9 year old niece with me who is a Gabbie & Liza fan. She has grown up started out living in my house from the time she was born but as she got older her mom met someone, got married, and she moved out. My niece has someone led a Cinderella life. She has a younger half sister and a younger step sister who get away with everything, and a step dad and mom that care more about themselves than anything else. They don't have a good home life to say the least. My niece has had to grow up very quick in her 9 years and has had to play the mother role to her sisters and doesn't have much of a life in a dim lit house (brings on depression), that isn't very clean (to say the least), and a lot more things that I could go on for miles with. My mom and try to keep the peace with her mother so that we can still be able to see the girls and give them somewhat of a normal childhood, especially the oldest. So when I read this book... front to back... in the first 24 hrs that I owned it... I get to the very middle of this book and see this poem.. "adultolescence" and I get a tinge of excitement.. "oh I'm going to get to find out what this book is named after.." And I read it. Gabbie... you make my heart soar. I got emotional. Teared up. A couple more of the poems popped in my mind that I had already read and things started to click together. My niece.. because she comes from the home life she does.. not aloud to go outside and play and do anything. Eats junks food. Sits in the house all day. Doesn't get baths when they all should. So In turn she is over weight for her age. And doesn't have the best clothes. Always smells like cigarette smoke.. there for she gets picked on in school. Very recently bullied.
She did get her own copy of Adultolescence, and it will stay at my house where it can be taken care of. However she has to be monitored on what she is allowed to read from it at the moment because there are some poems that are little too adult for her. But very soon I'm going to pick out some of these poems for her to read. To see that the people that she looks up to know where she is coming from in certain ways. I want to beat these kids ASSES that bully my baby niece. But. Just like I have told her over and over "what doesn't kill you will only make you stronger". And that... Gabbie... is what you have shown through your art. It is so beautifully dark and light at the same time.
Adultolescence.
Have you ever met a kid who wasn't a kid?
Who did all things mommies and daddies did?
Who didn't have friends or play games much.
But cooked. And cleaned. And cared for babies and such...
Give that kid a hug.
And that's what you did. You hugged her Gabbie. And she walked away and said "she just told me she loved me!"
That's all we need in this world. More love. Thank you Gabbie.. for this amazing book. You couldn't have done it more eloquently.
I love you from the bottom of my heart.
And by the way... my nieces name is Makenzie and she left you and Liza letters at your Pittsburgh tour. They are written in different colored ink. And she sent a multi colored braided jelly bracelet with it. ❤️

I've never been one to purchase a book created by a YouTuber or influencer but instead just appreciated what they've posted online. Gabbie's book was an exception. I've watched all of her content since her OG Vine days, and especially, as of lately she has definitely been killing the game. As a 22-year-old still trying to figure out life, I feel like Adultolescence will finally help me realize that it's OK to not have everything figured out. I just purchased it today, so I've only been able to skim through, reading a few of the poems. As of now, "Grow" is my favorite poem as Gabbie discusses the idea of changing as a person and how so many people always think it's a bad thing.(News flash: It's not always a bad thing.) The illustrations are phenomenal, and I can tell she poured her soul into this book. Her single, "Out Loud," which was inspired by Adultolescence is also amazing. I've found myself either singing it or listening to it (or both) everyday since she released it. I don't know her personally, and I've never met her before, but I feel like this book will give everyone the opportunity to connect with her and get a glimpse into her life and the struggles she's been through that you don't see on the Internet.

I know a lot of reviews are just "omg love it I love Gabbie" and I feel like those are not really reliable so here's my thoughts. I do keep up with Gabbie's youtube and honestly at first I did not give a crap that she was coming out with a book let alone poetry. I don't nor have ever had a desire to like, enjoy, read poetry especially after high school language arts. However, I did decide to purchase this the day it came out - I did not preorder. I read it all in two days. I love it. I am 100% surprised at how much I love it. There was so many poems that I loved and really connected with. Some of them I could even remember the vlogs, videos, snaps she posted in which that poem referenced to; it was pretty cool. The only downside to this (which is why I put 4/5 stars) is I was not a fan of the super lengthy ones, they seemed like too much in my opinion as well as I did not like the feel of the book like the material it was made out of. I do, 100% recommend purchasing this book. I feel like I will read a few poems every night before bed; they put me in such a good, happy, content mood. Chivalry, Cheater, and Link were probably my three top favorites.

i feel like this book speaks to me on spiritual level.
this isn't your cerebral-hipster-poetry; it's a young woman honestly speaking about what it's like to be a 20-something in the world right now, and all the sad, hilarious, frustrating thoughts and feelings that go along with it. i loved that some of the poems were almost in line with nursery rhymes, only darker. the tweet-inspired advice bits are a great contrast to the darker subject matter of a lot of the poetry. the illustrations are fun and applicable.
if you struggle with mental illness at all and/or you're a millennial (or around that age), you'll definitely relate to a lot of it. it's an interesting, modern take on poetry that will make you laugh on one page and sob on another. you'll feel like gabbie somehow knows you and is speaking your deepest, darkest thoughts at times; at others, she is your best friend trying to pull you back up out of the hole you've fallen in.
i read the entire thing in one sitting and i'm pretty sure it'll be by my bedside for a long time.
my personal favorites are "abuse", "therapy", "chivalry", "anxiety", "depression" and "live". also, "advice 3" made me snort-laugh.

I bought this book as a gift for my younger sister because she loves anything to do with YouTuber's. I was also intrigued at the fact that this was a poetry book, rather than the typical YouTuber memoir I've seen far too much of. After reading this book for myself, all I can say is don't waste your money or your time on this. She clearly states within the book that she wrote many of these "poems" as fillers because she had a strict deadline with her "book contract." Many of these poems were only one to two lines long and would have better sufficed as tweets. I definitely wouldn't consider this literature of any kind. If I had to say something positive about this book I will say that many of the illustrations were beautifully drawn and there was maybe one or two poems that I enjoyed or at least got a good laugh out of. But seriously, don't support this lame excuse of "poetry." Unless you're like 11 years old or something. Read something worth your time.

I've always been interested in poetry, but thought I could only ever *like* it. This book, though, made me realise that I can actually LOVE poetry. I fell in love in the first pages and couldn't put it down; I read it in one sitting. I smiled, I felt sad, I related, I felt nostalgic, I agreed. I can honestly say that I'm very impressed. I wasn't sure about buying it at first because I thought it would be like any other poetry book I read, but I decided to pre-order it anyways because I wanted to support Gabbie's dream. Today, I'm very happy I did it. Thank you Gabbie for making me *love* poetry.
I cannot say that I have a favorite poem (because I have like fifteen favorite, and each for a different reason), but I couldn't agree more to ''Grow'', page 230. Gabbie put into words what I always felt about people that say ''you've changed!'' as an insult. It is not an insult. I am growing, I am healing, I am changing.
Buy this, you won't regret it. Plus, the drawings are amazing.

This was one of the first books from a person on the internet that I liked from first glance and to the end of it. It was so great. Raw. Beautiful. Humorous.
To clarify, however, this book is not meant for advanced poetry lovers. This is a good book for modern generation, with advanced poetry sprinkled through it. She can write good poetry, and you can see that throughout the book, but as the name suggests, this is aimed at modern generation and shows off many-many iterations that the poetry can take.
And I like that about it. I hope, as Gabbie establishes herself as an author, she can dedicate a few books to one sole style of poetry that she wants to write.
It actually made me laugh out loud, which not many things do! And it also made me tear up, think deeply and even shocked me a few times. This is an emotional rollercoaster from beginning to end, just like the ages that are adulthood and adolescence.
And the fact that the author also illustrated the book herself is incredible. The picture is from the book, one of my many favorites, because it made me laugh out loud in combination with the poem on the neighboring page.

So I was at the Houston meet up, asked gabbie to sign my arm and tattooed it half and hour later. Im the guy that yelled out that I'm gonna need tissues when reading the book, and boy was I right. Im not even halfway done because I'm taking my time with each poem and I've cried like 4 times. This book is one of the best poem books I've read. At first I only bought it because I wanted to meet gabbie and stuff, but this book is something I wasn't expecting. Its deep and it comes from the heart, the illustrations are simple to the eye but are deep to the soul. I dont have a favorite poem yet, but I'll edit this when I have read it all through. Good job gabbie.

The poems in this book are modern and relatable. This is my favorite book and perfect for the fall season to curl up with some tea and read the thoughts from Gabbie Hanna. Also being in graphic design and loving art the illustrations fit so well and give me that nostalgic Shel Silverstein vibes. He was always my favorite poet as a child and I love to see that style come into a modern book. my favorite poems so far are "Recess" "Anxiety" and "Advice 10".

So glad I will be holding something that Gabbie herself poured her soul into! I have been watching Gabbie since just a few subs and have watched her grow! She is happy now, and I couldn't be more proud!! I hope to be this happy one day!

This book is one of the best things I've ever laid my hands on in years. This book has something for everyone and probably anyone can relate to it. I got my book from Gabbies meet and greet in New York and once I got on the train home I couldnt stop reading it I finished it today which was only a total of 2 hours that it took me to read the book. Honestly I thought Gabbie was an inspiration before but now she's better than ever. You'll get laughs from it but then you get moments where you can cry and actually feel what she's saying. This is my all time favorite book yet and I'm ready for what she has in store for us next. -Shelby E.

Gabbie,
This book is truly amazing! I feel your heart and your soul in every page.. It's insane how much poetry can change your mood, or make you feel less alone. My favorite poem is Anxiety. Mainly because I myself struggle with it, and to read such a truth spilling prom made me feel less alone. Also, I love the fact that I could be wanting to uncontrollably sob one second but then uncontrollably laugh the next. You did amazing Gabs. This and your song are such heart filled strong messages, and I can't wait to see what more you come out with, beautiful. Keep shining bright. People like you are made to change the world. ♥️

I've been looking forward to this book coming out since the day she announced it. I love Gabbie so much and her personality and thoughts and emotions and soul just really pour out onto the pages of this book. I finished it in one sitting and can relate to a lot of the poems and enjoy figuring out the deeper meaning behind some of them. Many of the poems are hilarious, thought provoking, and/or have a deeper meaning to them. Also, the artwork is amazing! My favorite poems are Stranger, Cravings, Lonely, Teacher, and many others but you should buy the book and find your own favorites too! Thanks Gabbie!!

Insanely and extraordinarily moving. Written with power and put me to tears. I have gone through so much and felt so worthless and this book can change that all in seconds. It makes me so happy, beginning to read it everyday now, although i’ve read it twice. So many of these poems hit deep and make me feel better about the way things might work out some day. Love it. Honestly so well written AND aesthetically pleasing. I love the way the comedy is mixed and sorted so well along deep and meaningful poems. I really really enjoy this book and it’s changed my life in a positive way. So, So proud! Keep up the hard work! This book is incredible!

When I found out that Gabbie was coming out with a book I was SO excited! I held off on buying her book just so I could write a nice review for her on the store. So I'm really hoping that she will see my review just so she knows that I look up to her and she gives me hope that things will be okay eventually. I probably won't get to meet her just because of how many people are at her events but that doesn't stop me from supporting her with everything she does. So if you need a second mom or just someone to look up to the Gabbie is the girl for you!

Amazing. I was so excited to see this come in the mail, I've been waiting and waiting for months before the release date. Gabbie has used her fame for something so great and I am so proud that she could publish this and move all of us. It has touched so dear to me, I cried when I first held it. My favorites so far are: Advice 14 (page 5), Advice 10 (page 10), Hide (page 15), Stranger (page 17), Fashion (page 23), and the list goes on and on. You can tell she put her heart and soul into this and I promise, it is something you can sit with for hours, rereading and rereading.

Gabbie Hanna is twelve years older than me. She lives a very different life, in a very different place, and she's entirely a different person. Despite all this, she managed to write a book so relatable that I found myself nodding as I read the poems. There are some really deep poems in here, and there are also really funny ones that were just as good. The book also has illustrations that are very detailed and well-drawn. This book is a view into Gabbie's head, and it gets you to see life from her perspective. I reccommend this book to anyone who wants to laugh, cry, or just sit and relax. THANK YOU GABBIE!!!

I’m only on page 72 and I have laughed, cried, smiled, frowned and EVERYTHING inbetween. I’m not bored with this book at all, in fact I’m reading it so fast that I need to take a break to process. I’m finding poems and sending then to friends because I know how much they relate. The illustrations are absolutely frickin amazing, and so incredibly unique. I feel like I could just look at the picture and know what the poem is about and vise versa. UGH IT IS SO GOOD! If you don’t buy it you are 248% missing out.
You will cry, laugh, smile, and most of all you will love it.

The collection of poetry and life lessons in this book will make you think about the world in a new light while making you laugh in the process. Gabbie Hanna is able to put our deepest thoughts, fears, and oddities into a form that is as beautiful as it is truthful. If you are thinking about reading this book, buy it immediately for it is not something that you will regret. Even if you do not like her from the YouTube Culture or the previous Vine Culture she was in this book is still a profound piece of literature that is one to remember and praise.

It's okay for poems that I'm assuming she wrote when she was a kid/teen. However I think the price is a little high for poetry that isn't /that/ great. While it does definitely have its highlights, it's really not worth that amount in my opinion. The majority of the poems are bland and generic.

I expected this to be a good book, but it far exceeded my expectations!! Usually when I read a poetry book I skip around, but with this one I read it cover to cover in one night!!! (Even rereading some of them!) With my anxiety and depression, I related to some of these poems on another level. My favorite poem (if I had to choose one because the entire book was my ultimate favorite poem TBH) was Depression because I related to it so much. If you are thinking about buying it, DO IT!!! You will not regret it! ?

This book is amazing. I started and finished it in just 2 hours. The poems have so much variety. Humor radiates through poems like Unexpected and Fin. Sadness and Knowledge shine through with BFF and Stranger. These poems, each and every one, affect the reader in so many different ways. I loved this book so much and I can say with joy that I will reread it many times in the years to come. My favorite poem has to be Bird, but I absolutely love Anatomy, Live, Heirloom, and Drink. I highly recommend this book!

I just met Gabbie and I came home and read the book cover to cover in like an hour. I can't express how amazing it was. I literally felt every single emotion. Some pages, I laughed out loud, some pages I cried. Every page had me in for a surprise. Every poem/page spoke to me in some way. It felt as though Gabbie gets me and she understood everything I'm feeling. It's an incredible feeling. Its definitely a book you can read over and over and that's just what I'm going to do. I love you, gab❤️

I've spent years lost through the motions
Suffocating in my depression
I stumbled on YouTube and there you were
A laughter that made me feel better,
A world where everything is brighter.
I've started watching when I was 22.
It's been two years since I last thought of suicide
Two full years where I don't feel dead inside
Thank you for giving us your heart and soul
I think I speak for all of us when I say
We are forever grateful. ?

I read this book in about 2 hours right after buying it last night, I didn't want to stop because I loved every single page. I have so many favs including BFF, PETS, VOMIT, and so many more. This book made me smile and gave me the urge to cry, it made me feel less lonely with the issues I have. I wouldn't be able to put my thoughts and feelings into words, but thankfully Gabbie was able to do that for me. Thank you Gabbie for everything you do, I really do love you so much.

I got it yesterday afternoon and I wasn't expecting it to be so awesome? Honestly I almost burst out crying from holding the book let alone looking at the real thing with my own eyes. I havent read it yet but I've skimmed through the book several times even though I promised myself not to. I Bet it'll be a long journey through emotions that we didnt expect to have when we read the title.?

This Book Is so Amazing To Me. I've Never Been The Type To Look Into Poems, but Thanks To Gabbie I Have Realized How They Can Have Such Deep Meanings. This Book Can Make You Cry and Then Laugh Wich Is So Cool, Most Importantly For Me Is That It Made Me Think About Life. I Can Relate To So Many Poems, She Literally Has Written Everything I Have Felt Inside But I Have Never Talked About Or Is Afraid Of Talking About To Anyone. I'm So Proud Of You!

I've barley begun the book and I've already connected with the poems on such a genuine level. I began marking my favorite poems and almost every page I've read has a marker on it. I cannot explain how much "stranger" means to me, thank you Gabbie, thank you for helping me not feel so alone in this world that can be so very painful.I'm 18 and in college and I still have many things to work on. But know YOU helped. I love you so much Gabbie <3

I have been watching Gabbie forever! And I've been waiting on this book since she first announced, and I have been dying to read it! From the very first poem I was laughing. I wanted to cry because I was so happy that's something she's loved doing is something real now. I love it. It's in my hand as we speak. I'm so proud of Gabbie, I hope there's so many more books in the future and just more of her in the future. She deserves greatness❤️❤️❤️

This book is absolutely incredible. It contains every emotion thinkable and has the power to impact the reader's emotions significantly. It is definitely an above-average book especially for a youtuber. Gabbie really sets the bar high and breaks any type of stereotype about young authors. Every single page you will be crying out of laughter or sadness. A must-read!

Illustrations are okay. The poetry itself is just very mediocre. I read a lot of poetry from different writers and this is just very basic. There’s a few clever writes but not much, and the one page where it’s just a drawing saying she needed to meet a deadline was ameture...

Amazing book filled with life lessons that manage to fit within just a few lines. Gabbie has done the impossible, mixed childhood and adulthood to become something universally understandable. I hadn't realized anyone else felt the same way until I read it. Thank you, Gabbie.

This book felt immature. It reeked of something a 13 year old would read, yet content would suggest older. I couldn’t get through all of it because the poems were just that bad. Attempt at humor not met. Also attempt at being quirky by using 2 instead of to and not capitalizing. Yikes.

The illustrations are beautiful and the poems range from funny, to sad, to quirky, to happy, to loving. So many are relatable and so many are there just to be catch you off guard. The advice pieces stick with me. ❤️ My favorite poem is either BFF or Anxiety. And the illustrations that go with them fit perfectly.
