This is a spin-off series from the Sin Brothers featuring a new set of men with special talents and dangerous enemies...
Ryker Jones is a bad a**...strong, intelligent, intimidating, dangerous, and commanding. He has anger issues and an "inner monster" he has to keep in control. He has a private Detective agency with his adopted brothers, Heath and Denver, that specializes in finding the hard to find They all have some special skills that make them adept at their jobs. But their early pasts are a mystery to them. They adopted each other at a young age in a boys home and vowed to protect each other. But they take each failure to heart. A serial killer case has been haunting them and the FBI, and it is taking a toll on them.
Zara Remington is a paralegal that Ryker has done business with in the office and in the bedroom. They have had a casual thing going where they share a meal and some hot sexy times. She is funny, sweet, smart, and caring. But she has some abandonment issues, so is also guarded. But when Ryker starts infiltrating her life more and more and stepping out of the box that they were supposed to be in, she gets confused. But Ryker is protective and possessive, and when he sees someone he cares about in trouble or danger, he will do anything to take care of them.
This story has a lot of layers to the suspense plot. There are threats and danger coming from various possible sources. Zara can be in danger from situations in her own life or surrounding her friend. But Ryker and his brothers have enemies as well. Their past is still chasing them even though they do not even know the whole truth. And a new person on the scene brings more information that could provide some light into their pasts. Ryker has a strong need to keep his growing group safe. But it is hard to tell who all is coming at them and why.
And in the middle of all of this chaos is a hot and steamy love story of a bossy, protective man and a strong woman he is willing to fight to keep in his life. I really liked Ryker and Zara together. They had such great foreplay and chemistry. They were volatile, passionate, and challenged each other. But they were both protective too.
It will take all of their resources and some they did not even know they had to take on all of the danger. I enjoyed getting to know his adopted brothers, Heath and Denver, and I am looking forward to their stories. They truly chose each other and would die for the others. They each have their skills, but also their own issues to deal with. I enjoyed the cameos and weaving of characters from other series adding more humor, banter, drama, and emotion.
The romantic suspense and subtle paranormal aspects of these series make it more interesting and intriguing. It keeps building to an action-packed climax. There are continuing story arcs that will tie the books in the series together. These add more mystery, excitement, and depth. This was sexy, funny, suspenseful, mysterious, and full of action. And there is such a theme of brotherhood, family, and home in these books. I cannot wait for more with Heath in Lethal Lies .

3.5 out of 5 stars
I liked this a lot. It was action packed and had a lot going on (a lot!) which made it super entertaining and slightly chaotic at times. I enjoyed the overall storyline and I really liked all the different characters introduced and the different elements that were in play.
Loved the romance happening between Ryker and Zara. They both totally pushed each other's buttons and since Ryker is totally alpha and Zara is stubborn and had a tendency not to do what she was told it made for some really great scenes. They were sexy, fun, and challenging together and I thought they had great chemistry.
I loved Ryker’s blood brothers Heath and Denver and like how their stories are being set up. I’m excited to reading Lethal Lies (Heath’s story). This was the first book I’ve read by Rebecca Zanetti and had no idea what to expect so some of the things introduced seemed bit out there to me. However, since this is a spin-off series, I assumed these were established facts and just accepted them so I could enjoy the story.
The writing was really good and the story was fast paced. There is a nice element of suspense and intrigue happening but I felt like it was missing grit and depth. It was definitely fun and enjoyable to read however. I thought it started out awesome and had a great first half. The second half was good too, there just a lot more happening and a lot more commotion making it feel like the story was pin-balling everywhere. It all aligned nice and easy and came together in the end.
All in all a great read. Action packed with twists and turns everywhere. It was a wild ride for sure!

In an attempt to secretly help her friend out of a very public and messy divorce Paralegal Zara Remington finds herself in a little trouble of her own, someone has found out what she is doing and they want her stopped at all costs. Now with her life is in danger, she must rely on a certain sexy private investigator named Ryker, and his brothers to keep her safe... but unfortunately for her they seem to be in a little trouble of their own. Now she finds herself thrust into a whole new world of danger, one that is not only revealing secrets about Ryker that she never saw coming, and that could alter the budding relationship she has with him!
Ryker is good at what he does, and goes above and beyond to protect his clients, but when he loses a client he takes it really hard and he sets out to get exact revenge... which has him hunting down a known serial killer. Between him and his brothers he is sure that they can catch the killer and set things straight, but unfortunately for them they also have a dangerous past they are running from and it is starting to close in on them too. Then if that wasn't enough to handle, Ryker's lover Zara finds herself in a bit of trouble too, and Ryker can't help but get involved... now he is forced to fight the evil lurking from every corner and it's becoming harder and harder for good to prevail this time around!
The suspenseful and sexy read grabbed my attention from the very first paragraph and held on tight until the last page was swiped... WOW what a read!! Just when I thought I had a handle on what was going on, then a new unexpected development would come along, and it would have me hooked all over again! These brothers are seriously something else, they are highly skilled, sexy as hell, alpha to the bone, and will go above and beyond to protect those they care about... I mean seriously what more could you want in a character!!! Every now and then I like to settle down with a good romantic suspense story that amps up my heart rate, and keeps me teetering on the edge of my seat, and after reading this story I think I may just have found a new "go-to" author for that!!
Highly recommend this one, it had everything you could possibly want in a story; thrilling suspense, heart-pounding action, well crafted characters with smoldering chemistry, and plenty of toe curling romance to boot!! Highly recommend it!!

Deadly Silence is the first book in the Blood Brothers series and while you could read it as a stand alone I recommend reading the Sin brothers first. That series gives you the background on Dr. Madison and the commander. It also helps with the background on Greg and his subplot and of course it makes the tie-in with the Grey brothers a lot more enjoyable. So if you haven't started pick up the Sin Brothers which is a great series and then dive right into this one!
This book centers around Ryker Jones and to some extent his two brothers who run an investigation agency that focuses on finding people. They've been hired to find a serial killer but it becomes immediately obvious there is a lot more to this book. The brothers are running from their past and trying to find answers to it at the same time.
Ryker is in a monogamous friends with benefits relationship with Zara who he met through the legal company she works for during a previous case that they hired him for. When Zara gets involved in a situation that may potentially be putting her in danger Ryker is forced to reevaluate his feelings and her place in his life. I loved Zara's character. She is a very strong, brave and intelligent character who isn't willing to put up with the half truths and secrets from Ryker if he wants more from her. I admit I love Zanetti's alpha heroes and Ryker is no exception. He's strong, protective, possessive and of course very sexy! He's also extremely loyal and will do anything for his brothers and those he considers family.
There were a lot of sub plots in this book but it didn't feel all over the place. It was obvious that most of them were going to tie together at some point. The brothers while hunting the serial killer find that their past is catching up to them. A young boy, Greg, is "blackmailing" them in order to help them find a woman (Dr. Madison) that ties into their past as well as his. Zara is involved in a situation that has put her in danger due to a case in her law firm. This added plenty of suspense, intrigue and interest to an already interesting plot.
I really enjoyed this book and can't wait for the second book. This was an amazing start to a spin off series!

I was hoping for a spinoff after I finished the last book in the Sin Brothers series as there were some loose threads remaining to be pulled. This was a good start and I was happy to see some character crossover.
The story begins with Zara Remington and Ryker Jones already in a "casual" relationship. She's a paralegal and he's a private investigator who does work for her firm and travels almost constantly. Things start to shift when she gets embroiled in her friend's divorce and Ryker goes all Alpha male when she gets hurt.
Ryker also has two brothers who work with him and the three bonded when they first met at a boys home in their youth (sound familiar?). They're hiding a big secret about their past that they have to confront when an unusual client asks for help in finding someone. And, all three are trying to find a serial killer who targets red headed women.
There's a lot going on in this story and I'm a fan of multiple plot lines. However, the serial killer aspect took a backseat to Zara's issues and the brothers' search on behalf of their client. It's a strong start to the series and it has a continuing story arc so not all things are wrapped by the end of the book. I think you'll enhance your reading experience by reading the other series first, though as there are important elements that serve as a foundation. However, if you don't, you won't be lost. And, I listened to the last book in the first series and regretted that I hadn't switched earlier. Karen White continues as narrator here, bringing a familiarity that I found essential. Bring on the next book! 3.5 stars

Rebecca Zanetti has created an amazing world in her Blood Brothers spinoff series. Zanetti opens her series with Deadly Silence. At the core of this story is family, the one you are born to and the one you make. Zanetti's characters have been dealt a rough deal all around, yet they all strive to make not only themselves better, but raise up everyone around them.
Ryker is a protector. That's what he does. He keeps everyone but his brothers at arms length and walls up because to let anyone in is the potential to fail. He's not sure he's a good guy, but when he feels like he failed one of his clients, it eats just a little more of soul. With his past more than nipping at his heels, he NEEDS to keep Zara at arm's length.
Zara's learned from experience that you can't expect a man to make you whole. Ryker isn't staying, so she's convinced herself their casual relationship is all she wants. She's put him in box that fits her perceptions. So what happens when Ryker decides that he doesn't want to stay in that box and wants it all?
Zanetti does a superb job of taking flawed, but not broken characters, through learning to give and accept trust. She's got enough twists and turns to rival any roller coaster, and it's a thrill ride from the start. I can't wait to see what she's got in store for the rest of the Blood Brothers!

First in a new Blood Brothers series, that introduces us to Ryker Jones, one of several men with unique characteristics who run a Lost Bastards Investigation agency, and Paralegal Zara Remington. She's attracted to Ryker, but is convinced--because of his refusal to share details of his past--that theirs can only be a friends with benefits relationship.
While he tries to fight it, he finds he can't let her go and sets out to convince her that he wants her in his life forever, but a series of nasty occurrences interferes, including the sudden death of Zara's friend, and the unexpected appearance of a 12-year-old who hacks into the brothers' computer system.
Lots of explicit sex that could be off-putting if you're not into that sort of thing, and some questions left unanswered, as a reason for the reader to check out future books in the series.

AudioBook Review:
Stars: Overall 4: Narration: 5 Story 4
A little bit of ‘pre-choice reading reveals that the Blood Brothers series is a spin off from her Sin Brothers series, but not having read that one (although now dying to) did not affect my understanding or enjoyment of Deadly Silence.
What we have is three men, Ryker, Denver and Heath who had horrid childhoods, and as young boys pledged to protect and be there for one another as “Blood Brothers”. Using their own traumatic histories as a sort of mantra, the three have formed the Lost Bastards Investigations Agency, where their mission is to find the lost and perhaps forgotten.
When Ryker’s business brings him into Zara’s proximity, the sparks are instant, and the two agree on the no-strings guidelines. That is, until Ryker sees a bruise on Zara’s face, and wants to step up to protect her. Their relationship is loaded with push-pull moments: neither is willing to believe in their own desirability or need for a relationship could make them stronger and happier. Ryker’s childhood is a heartbreaking story, and Zara has issues with commitment. Oh they were fun!
But the threats to Zara are not going to be ignored by Ryker and his boys… and a new client (who is adorable – trust me) for their agency also brings us more of their past, and the answers to ther “special skills”. Not paranormal - but alteratons that has them exploring deeper into their own pasts. Twists, Turns, Surprises and multiple threads spin around in a vortex of can’t wait to know ALL the story fun!
Narration by Karen White is, as always, impeccable. She presents the story clearly and each character has a specific voice, patois and manner of delivery that allows you to know who is speaking almost before they start. Infusing the text with emotion, she takes her cues from the words on the page, never overstepping a moment, and not over-reaching for the tension.
What emerges is a story that is rich in characters and plot, with plenty of strings neatly tied, with others left open that will be closed with further stories in the series. I love the way Zanetti manages to present information you need from other series, without giving away the “big picture’ which fuels interest in the current tory, while making you crave those other titles. Standing alone without issue, if you liked the Sin Brothers, you’ll have an idea (BUT only an idea) about what makes the Blood Brothers special, but not knowing them doesn’t affect your experience.
I received an AudioBook copy of the title from Hachette Audio for purpose of honest review. I was not compensated for this review: all conclusions are my own responsibility.

Before the review begins, I did want to acknowledge that this is a spin-off of the Sin Brothers series, but Ms. Zanetti provides enough background in this book that it could truly exist as a standalone. Therefore, reading the other books isn't strictly necessary and not doing so won't keep you from enjoying this novel. That said, I would recommend that readers give the Sin Brothers books a try simply because they were quite good.
On to the review....
There is a lot going on in this story, and I'd say that there's something in it for just about everyone: an alpha male with an abundance of hotness who is still trying to escape his horrific childhood; a strong, smart, fierce heroine; a cast of truly interesting secondary characters, including Ryker's brothers, a feisty grandmother, and a troubled (to say the least) boy; a serial killer and multiple other dangerous villains; strong chemistry between the leads and lots of steam; a truly evocative romance between a woman with abandonment issues and a man who isn't sure if he knows how to love; an exploration of the strength of familial ties, both biological and those that are chosen; action and fights galore; and the list goes on.
With all of that going on, it might sound odd to say that it felt as though the story kind of just plodded along for awhile, but for me, the first two hundred pages or so were just okay as they contained a fair amount of rehashing in terms of the characters' feelings, some developments in the story's other elements that didn't seem to go anywhere for awhile, etc. It generally doesn't take me long to become totally immersed in one of Ms. Zanetti's books, but this time, it didn't reach the point where I felt like I couldn't put it down until the story had passed the halfway point. After that, though, it was nonstop action, suspense, and heat, and that more than made up for what I felt was a slow-ish (relative to her other novels, at least) first half.
Also - and this is just a nitpick, but it happened frequently enough that it began to irritate me a bit - for some reason, Ms. Zanetti had a penchant for making her characters . . . cough; not actual coughing fits or anything born of illness. Instead, she'd have the characters cough right before speaking, in between one statement and the next, during normal conversations, during threatening conversations, and all for no reason whatsoever. At first, it wasn't all that noticeable, but as the book progressed, the number of instances of this progressed to the point where it seemed to occur every few pages and it started to distract me a bit from the story. Again, it's not a huge issue and it may not even be something that bothers anyone else, but it struck me as odd and a little annoying.
All in all, this isn't my favorite of Ms. Zanetti's books. However, once the story gels, the heat between the characters explodes, and the action picks up, it becomes a very entertaining read, and one that I would definitely recommend.

Wow! I really, really enjoy this author–she is an incredible world builder with smooth skills that help her transition her characters into our world seamlessly. It’s always exciting to meet new characters to the family, and in this book, she’s literally expanding their world’s horizon, taking their us versus them outlook and creating something much larger. A genetic family view.
Zara’s ambition had gotten her out of the nightmare that was her childhood and into a great job as a paralegal with her own little place. Her little fling with private detective Ryker Jones was becoming more of a relationship. However, he’s definitely not the type to date if she wants marriage, a house, and babies. He’s the dangerous type. Luckily he’s also the chivalrous type who jumps in to save her when she gets into trouble helping a friend. When her friend ends up dead, guess who’s being framed as her killer?
Zara.
Ryker Jones started life rough and continues to be chased by a man from his past. He and his two brothers, Heath and Denver, had escaped from the foster home they’d met in–but not without leaving an explosive trail for the man who’d vowed to find them and get vengeance for his brother’s death. Women have usually served one purpose–relaxation–and he wasn’t sure why Zara was getting under his skin. Sure she was gorgeous and smart, but he felt a connection to her that he’d never felt before for anyone but his brothers–that she was his. His family. It was absolutely the worst time in the world to be trying to discover what his feelings were–they were chasing a serial killer while trying to stay out of the way of their nemesis. When a young boy shows up threatening to expose them unless they help him find his brothers, it’s the final straw in the continuing chain of coincidences that were NOT so coincidental.
Their only question was how were all the things happening to them linked? And was it Greg’s bad guys, Zara’s enemy that was framing her, or their past finding them?
I love this new series about the Lost Boys and can’t wait for the next! Rebecca Zanetti never fails to deliver explosive world building, hot sex, and cold-blooded killers with maniacal plans. Start reading her today!

Deadly Silence is a can’t miss romantic suspense that gets the blood pumping and I just couldn’t put it down! This spin off of Zanetti’s Sin Brothers series is off to a fantastic start! Though to be honest if I hadn’t been paying attention then I would have passed this one up because the cover is so drastically different from the Sin Brothers series.
So the story is that Ryker and Zara have been having a purely physical affair for a while but now Ryker’s past is coming back to haunt and hunt him down and Zara is in the middle of it all. Ryker and his brothers not only have someone hunting them but their business, an investigative agency has just lost a client to a crazed killer and they’re determined to catch the killer. In the meantime despite Ryker’s determination to keep Zara at arm’s length, he finds himself falling for her and worrying that he won’t be able to keep her safe.
Ryker was used to being in control and at first I thought that was going to be a problem for me because I hate overbearing, bossy heroes. However, even though Ryker was a bit controlling, he had this raw vulnerability to him that made him, in my opinion one of the best heroes Rebecca Zanetti has ever written. Ryker wasn’t always sure of his place in Zara’s life which lead to some humbling moments for the otherwise domineering male. What helped was that Zara had a bit of daring side to her. She found moments where she would challenge Ryker and knock him off balance a bit. I love a heroine who doesn’t just lie back and take whatever over the top BS the hero is spouting in the name of “protecting her.” Because of her personality I found that their chemistry was way better than that of an alpha male and his submissive female. To me Zara had a personality outside of Ryker and their affair and I loved that.
What I noticed about Ryker and Zara’s relationship was that there was a lot of changing and compromising from both sides, though it seemed that Ryker was the one that needed to do most of the changing to his lifestyle and outlook in order to include someone else. I loved that the author didn’t just make it seem easy from one day to another. There were setbacks along with the progress for these two and it made the romance more realistic and believable to me. It was a push and pull relationship for the first half while they worked through things and then they started to learn how to be a team and work together. Ryker just wasn’t willing to lose Zara because he didn’t want to change and consider her feelings. It was gratifying as a reader to see that.
Ryker’s brothers, Denver and Heath are as different as night and day yet the bond the three men share is beyond unbreakable. Denver seemed to have a past with a woman he had to leave behind and that tortured him. Heath had the White Knight Syndrome where he just had to try and save everyone and everything that needed saving. I can’t wait to read their stories.
Just like with the original series, Deadly Silence took off like a shot. There was non-stop action and red hot passion from the get go which was essential in getting me addicted to the story. Few things are as disappointing as a slow paced romantic suspense but this book didn’t suffer from a slow pace or boring characters.
Final Verdict: Zanetti is on fire with this series. I admit some apprehension in the beginning simply because I’m such a fan of the original series but if all goes like Deadly Silence then this spin off is going to give the Sin Brothers a run for their money.

Rebecca Zanetti's "Deadly Silence" is the first book of a romantic suspense series featuring the Jones brothers. This story features Ryker Jones who has a private investigation called "The Lost Bastards Investigative Agency." It seems a silly name for an agency but the brothers find people so there is that.
It did seem a silly name and it put me off reading it for a bit but honestly, it turned out to be a fairly solid read with a good mix of romance, family, action and suspense. The story opens with young Ryker and his awful childhood. He's in a foster home from hell. The thing that keeps him somewhat balanced is a protective streak or bond with his 'brothers', Heath and Denver. Zanetti establishes in that brief prologue chapter that the boys are enduring and will survive.
Then it cuts to years later with a woman named Zara waiting for Ryker to come over after months away. They've been dating awhile but she knows that he's always "one foot out the door" and she's not looking to settle him down. This is a good opening to me because Zara is the co-lead and usually there is a cute meet and the reader watches the relationship build from there. In this case, the connection is already established and yet the reader still gets to watch them get closer due to circumstances that arise from her work and his past.
The pacing is good as is the character development. There are some expected turns and a few unexpected twists which is always good. Ms Zanetti has an engaging writing style and that helps with the layered story-line. Overall, an enjoyable read.

The was my first Rebecca Zanetti novel. Overall I enjoyed it and have mixed feelings about it. Since I didn’t know the backstory of the genetically engineered men, I like the slow unveiling of this angle of the story. Ryker grew up an orphan and was kicked out of many foster homes, he is now in his thirty’s. Today he runs an investigation agency with two of his brothers, who were also orphans, to find lost people. Zara is a para legal who’s firm hired Ryker. The story starts and Ryker and Zara are already involved on a pure physical level. An extra excerpt at the end includes their first meeting. The story focuses on their relationship turning into love while Zara is handling a friend’s messy divorce to a well-known person and Ryker must deal with his past confronting him. Ryker is the stereotypical definition of a hot possessive alpha male. Zara is smart, strong, and courageous. She also had a difficult childhood and is always cooking food for everyone. It was difficult to connect to these stereotypical characters at first but the story intrigued me and the other characters added depth. I almost stopped reading it when the first story line of the messy divorce had mostly concluded and a dramatic event at Ryker’s place occurred and Zara did something more like a super hero would do. I understood her motivation to save the boy, but really? I hope that was written in a non-spoiler way. I also didn’t need to have the sex scene with the villain included, yuck. I’d rate it a tad below a 4/5.

Rebecca Zanetti reaffirms once again what an amazingly talented author she is. Being a long-time fan of the author, I devour her books fast and frequently. When this new series was announced as a spin-off of the Sins Brothers series, I must confess I was a little concerned. The Sins Brothers books were brilliantly crafted and when the series “finished”, I wasn’t sure how Rebecca could top it. I should NEVER have doubted her. Rebecca Zanetti delivers a fast-paced suspenseful story full of new characters, settings and villains but with the same intensity and excitement she brings to all her books.
DEADLY SILENCE is an amazing story full of loss, and strength, and family…and yes, some hot & steamy chemistry. But it’s so much more than “just a story.” It’s about three men on a mission to find missing or lost people, as well as finding answers for themselves. It’s about a woman who loves her friend so much, she’d put herself in harm’s way to save that friend, at all costs. It’s about finding a connection with an unlikely person and then realizing you’re more alike than you think. And that’s just in the first few chapters!
I had a vested interest in each and every person in the book. I was emotionally drained and refilled as well as entertained, disgusted and intrigued. I laughed and grieved with people in the book. I can’t call them characters, because they were so much more than that. And then it felt like coming home again, when a few familiar faces joined up later in the book.
Riker and his brothers Heath and Denver are ultimate alpha males deeply ingrained with loyalty, protectiveness and a fierce sense of duty. A duty they take very seriously: finding the lost. Being “lost” boys themselves, as it were, each man is driven to bring hope to the hopeless while in search of answers to their own questions. They are bound together by circumstance. They are a family forged in the fires of torment, pain, affliction…and blood.
Rebecca sure knows how to write alpha males but what really clenched the story for me was Zara. She is a strong, stubborn woman with a heart as big as the sky. I respected and admired her very much. I though she and Ryker paired well together and their chemistry was off the charts!
What I really loved about the book was that with all the craziness going on here, the heart of the story is the family aspect. Loyalty, honor, protectiveness and sacrifice are the foundation of this family. Having people that will have your back no matter what as well as kick you in the ass when you need it are the epitome of this family’s values.
And it just wouldn’t be a Rebecca Zanetti book without some twists and surprises along the way! I never saw them coming!
DEADLY SILENCE is everything you want in your romantic suspense novel and a whole lot more! I highly encourage you to purchase, borrow or go to your local library and check out this book today!

Blown away, new to me author, Ms. Zanetti is one I will be intently watching. I will covet her books as "my precious". On a lark, I picked up this book when a publisher contacted me. Ms. Zanetti's name is unique enough that I recognized it even. Not expecting much, I cracked upon the first page and then proceeded to read through the night. Word of caution. Only start this book when there is plenty of time to enjoy it, not when it is thirty minutes before bedtime. Several hours later, blurry eyed, mind whirling and cruising on an adrenaline high, I finished this book and wanted the next book in the series.
What pulled me in? The writing style. Ms. Zanetti's writing style is smooth and polished. The chapters flow from one to the next, enticing a reader to just read one more chapter. This page turner falls into a genre which is right up my alley. If you like conspiracy theories, covert military experimentation and men with painful past, this story is for you. I loved Ryker Jones. He is the kind of male character I always fall hard for because he is loyal and a protector. He wants to protect people and he wants to protect the few people he considers family. He is a survivor of a horrible abusive childhood and it made him into this caring and strong man. I love this kind of set up and it never gets old for me. I liked Zara too. Zara is the friend everyone wished they had. She does what she can to help a friend in need.
This story could be so predictable. And in some parts it is a bit predictable. In other parts, Ms. Zanetti pulls the rug right out from under me. A few of the twists and turns are nicely placed in. One I kept hoping wasn't going to be true only to have Ms. Zanetti bash me with a reality that I didn't want to see. The way the characters are not fully bad or good is what intrigues me. Each of the characters, even the heinous characters have a reason to their madness. Ms. Zanetti does not place her judgment on them. Instead, she creates characters for the reader to decide for themselves.
There is a bit of erotic sex in here and for me, it was too tame. Granted, I'm a jaded BDSM reader so pretty much 90% of sex scenes are tame and boring for me. For those who enjoy sexual tension and an alpha male who needs a woman's love, there is plenty of it here. The chemistry between Zara and Ryker is good. Ryker's bonds with his brother are more of interest to me. This first book in the series starts off with a bang and sets up for the next book. I can't wait to see what happens in the next book. I eagerly anticipate for it to fall into my greedy little paws. This romantic suspense with a bit of sci-fi twist is highly recommended.

Whew boy! Deadly Silence--non-stop deliciously sexy romantic suspense. Danger around every corner, unexpected twists and discoveries, scorching hot, passionate romance? Yeah. Zanetti will have you begging for more.
Holy cow was there a lot going on in the lives of Zara and Ryker...
1] A work case involving one of Zara's friends and the fall out from an abusive marriage that tangles her up in it's dangerous dynamic
2] A mysterious young arrival that's somehow linked to Ryker and his brothers and who's demanding help that'll put their safety at risk
3] a case with the FBI involving a serial killer that Ryker and his brothers are involved with.
I really thought it would be too much and no way would everything feel satisfying but Zanetti made it work. Some storylines ended, others set up future storylines, some will be ongoing through the series (it seems).
Zara and Ryker could be difficult--he could be a little over the top alpha protective, she could be a little too trusting and naive--but I really enjoyed them. They fight for what they want and those around them--even at their own expense. They're in that awkward moving from booty call status to wanting more which was pretty dang entertaining. And holy cow were they hot together! This one definitely upped the heat and hit near erotic levels. I mean. Yall. They're hot and heavy and make-a-girl-tingle good.
Zanetti did an amazing job with the secondary characters, too. The bond and love between Ryker and his brothers is really incredible. This is a spin off of the Sins Brothers series so same world just a different set of "brothers" with some awesome guest appearances that'll make previous readers giddy-sigh-happy. I loved all of the interactions with them.
There were some excellent action scenes, some frustrations when things didn't go as planned, some nice twists and connections made. Just nicely done rom-suspense. I'm definitely excited for the next book. I loved Ryker's brothers and can't wait to see how things turn out for each of them and with the group as a whole. Edgy excitement and seriously fan-yourself-good. Grab this one!

Hair-raisingly thrilling and sexy. Another gripping story by Rebecca Zanetti!
Ryker Jones has made it his life’s mission to protect the one’s he cares about, so losing control is something he can’t afford. Not if the PI agency he runs with his brothers has lost a client, not with the sexy and assertive woman he’d been trying to keep things casual with but who has been slowly inching her way into his heart and especially not when someone is out to get her. Can he find a way keep everyone safe?
Zara Remington knows next to nothing about the sexy, dark and secretive man she’s been seeing, but there’s something irresistibly appealing about him she can’t resist. And now that helping her friend has her under police scrutiny, Ryker is only one who can help. Can she be strong enough for them to survive when secrets are revealed and they’re assaulted on all fronts?
Love and hate, life and death, thrills and chills, Rebecca Zanetti is an expert at stirring a wide range of emotions in her books, Deadly Silence is no exception. A spin-off of the incredible Sin Brothers series, this first book in the Blood Brothers set introduces us to three men whose bond goes beyond blood, suffering together through beatings and mistreatments at the boy’s home they lived in and being subjected to odd tests and military style training, Ryker, Heath and Denver form their own little family, vowing to protect each other.
While the three of them continue to look for answer from their past, they decide to settle in Cisco in order to catch a serial killer. Ryker takes advantage of this to try to go beyond the casual limits he and Zara had originally establish because he just can’t get enough of the feisty woman who wears sexy underwear and bakes just for him. But he’s unwilling to share his past with her and even though she’s undoubtedly attracted to him and his alpha dominant ways, she’s reluctant to take a risk on a man who’ll most probably break her heart.
As the plot unfolds, Ryker and Zara’s relationship evolves from sizzling lust to deep trust and delicious romance a mist exciting action, suspense and a whole lot of twists are revealed as new and old characters are expertly introduced. I’m not going to spoil you, but it is a spinoff for a reason so watch out for your favorite characters from past books!
Ryker and Zara were as great together as they were on their own. He’s a decidedly alpha male who’s loyal to a fault and is used to taking on the responsibility of the people he loves. He’s rough around the edges but has an incredibly big, protective and loving heart. Zara is his perfect complement, she’s sweet, caring, stubborn and brave enough to stand up to him. I just loved it when the two of them went head to head.
Deadly Silence is book #1 in the Blood Brothers series by Rebecca Zanetti who writes consistently fascinating, nonstop action and smoldering romances. It’s a fast paced, exciting standalone you won’t want to miss. Told from several points of view, with a happy ending but still lots to resolve.

When Zara's law firm hired The Lost Bastards Investigative Agency, she had no idea the path her life was about to take. Ryker knows it’s extremely dangerous to get close to anyone but Zara reaches a place inside of him he didn't know could exist. As Zara works to help her friend going through a divorce and Ryker is trying to find a serial killer, a new danger involving Ryker's past starts to creep closer. More questions are being asked than there are answers and Zara and Ryker are going to have to decide if they're safer together or apart.
Just who in the hell was Ryker Jones?
A spin-off of the Sin Brothers series, Deadly Silence starts us off with a new set of heroes in Blood Brothers. I have not read any books from the Sin Brothers series (you can guarantee I will be rectifying that) and I wouldn't say it would be a requirement to have done so to start this series. If you have read books from Sin you would have prior knowledge of what the origins of Ryker and his brothers Heath and Denver are but as a newbie, the author did a great job of delaying the knowledge to create mystery and suspense but giving the reader enough at the right times to keep from feeling lost. Now, this book on its own, let me restate the immortal words of Samuel L. Jackson in Jurassic Park, "Hold on to your butts." There is some mad story happening here.
From day one, she'd tasted danger on his tongue, and it burned her hotter than she'd ever been.
The three main story threads were the continuing hunt for a serial killer, Zara's friend going through a divorce, and the three brother's past coming back to haunt them; there is so much happening but for the most part, the author pulls it off. Zara's friend, the divorce, the danger, and the murder mystery that stems from that was probably the weakest and the one I would have shortened way down to streamline. It initially works to get our couple together but the murder mystery fell somewhat flat without room or time to flush out the secondary characters involved with it. I think what kept all the storylines from feeling overwhelming was the author's great use of Heath and Denver, Ryker's brothers. The serial killer plot is the most on the peripheral and Heath mainly deals with that one while the brother's past and origins, with the added character of Greg, starts off smaller with Denver mainly dealing with it until it slowly gains momentum (second half of book) and becomes the main focus by the end with everyone involved. This delegating of story threads kept secondary characters involved while organizing all the plot points.
"You want everything," she countered, trying to make sense of the rioting feelings inside her.
He grinned then, his eyes remaining sober. "I'll get it, too."
With all those story plots happening, our main couple's romance did suffer a bit. We're started off with Zara and Ryker already having a sexual relationship, even though they both started it with the expectations of keeping it casual, so I missed seeing and feeling the building of attraction. I did have some problems connecting with Ryker as he came off a little stiff and distant. I get with his background why he might come off that way to Zara but as the reader, I want to feel more of him in order to care and connect. There was also a little bit of wooden alpha to him at times with his "must protect you" regarding Zara repeating over and over. Zara was a solid heroine with small amounts of little lost girl and then a tad bit fantastical butt-kicking heroine antics towards the end. I would have liked more emotional moments from the two regarding them coming together; again, it's all about the journey for me. If steamy hot bedroom scenes are your thing, you won't be disappointed; Zara and Ryker bring the heat. No complaints there.
"Trust me like I trust you."
Even with so much going on I thought the author nailed the pacing and tone, there were some repetitive scenes/lines but overall, you won't want to put the book down. The romance takes somewhat of a hit but the comprehensive story makes up for it with its intriguing story plots and wide cast of characters. This doesn't end on a strict cliffhanger but if you read this, you're signing up for a shady genetics military program, a hunt for a serial killer, and following along with a trio of brothers who are trying to make sense of it all while trying not to fall in love. I'm on the bandwagon and can't wait to read the next in the series starring Heath.
I received this book for free in exchange for an honest review. This does not affect my opinion of the book or the content of my review.

5 - "I ain't easy, I know... but I'll be worth it." Stars!
Rebecca Zanetti excels at delivering up a romantic suspense story-line, especially when built around a series, and including recurring characters in each book, and her new Blood Brothers series delivered on every expectation that I have of her in this regard.
Although an off-shoot from the previously published Sin Brothers series, Deadly Silence can absolutely be read as a standalone. There is character crossover from that series to this, but for me that just made it all the more special in its reading… Ahem, Dean Brothers anyone ;)
Life, not genetics, had made them family…
Ryker Jones and his brothers Heath and Denver have set up base in Cisco, Wyoming, after spending many years on the move. Investigators of a sort, they specialise in finding those that are lost. Each brother has his own particular skill set, Ryker being the muscle, if you will, although as the book progresses you quickly find out that none of them are what you would call shabby in their efforts at fighting the bad guys, it’s just that Heath is more their public face, and Denver with little interest in talking, their behind the scenes tech guy. But together they are an unbreakable team, family and most importantly for each of them for their own specific reasons brothers.
Zara and Ryker are together at the start of the book, so there is no relationship building as such, but what began as Ryker, rolling in for some fun between the sheets with her whenever his is in town has developed into a little more for Zara as the months have passed. Things are a little up in the air between them though, as now that he is based in town Zara isn’t too sure whether she wants to move their causal relationship onto a more firmer footing.
"You scare me"
"I’d never hurt you…"
"You’d never mean to hurt me… But you’re all or nothing. Pure trust or none at all…"
Ryker in typical Zanetti fashion, goes all Alpha on her, and pretty much takes that decision from her hands. Especially when it turns out she is in the cross hairs, and Ryker isn’t certain who it is that is after her, his has enemies, and Zara is not lacking in that area either due to the nature of the work she is doing.
"You want everything…"
"I’ll get it too."
If you have read anything by this author before, you know you are in for a deliciously dirty alpha male, they usually aren’t shy at handing out the odd spanking if they feel it is due, and sex is often used as a way of pulling the sassy female into line. I don’t mind this, it’s what I expect from the authors heroes, and Ryker Jones is the epitome of all that is good about the men she writes.
The story-line keeps you on your toes, with new villains coming to the fore, and a few lose ends from the Sin Brothers series reprising their roles with aplomb. You get enough information on Heath and Denver to know that their books will offer up more Alpha goodness, but their tastes look like they run in different directions to their brothers.
The safest place for her was with him, yet it was also the most dangerous to her heart.
This doesn’t end on a cliffy per se, it’s left more in the, 'no stuff needs to be blown up right now' category. This is a series, so you know everything isn’t likely to be resolved in the first book. But the scene has been well and truly set, the players have made themselves known (well most of them have anyway) and the stage is ready for the rest of the Acts to play out, as the author releases further books. Lethal Lies is due for release in April 2017, and I look forward to reading it.

I am so happy to have had the opportunity to read this book as I love this authors stories. It is in many ways a spin off from her Sin Brothers series so if you are a fan of those books than this will be a must read. That being said I do think this works as a standalone as there's enough background information revealed here.
So our story features three guys united by their past and now acting as investigators. These 'blood' brothers have stayed together through thick and thin but always on the run keeping one step ahead of those who search for them. It's not easy keeping a low profile whilst trying to help others but somehow using a little stealth and a lot of ingenuity they've managed it so what is Ryker thinking as he gets more and more involved in Zara's life? Sure she's cute, playful and pushes all Rykers buttons but Zara is also a woman keeping secrets and they are about to cause all manner of trouble . Two people falling hard and yet not being quite honest with each other is surely a recipe for disaster!
This author seems to delight in giving her readers big alpha males so if you don't enjoy a guy who likes taking control ( it's fantasy so why not?) then Ryker might not be your newest book boyfriend! If honest I would have preferred to see the couple meet and gel but alas we are thrown straight into their with benefits relationship that just is anything but casual. Expect lots of heat in this story but there are also subplots in play although at times I wasn't quite sure which way the author would go.
The main characters all have sad back stories so if you enjoy a tortured hero or even heroine then this fits the bill. It is very reminiscent of the previous Sin Brothers books but I quite liked that as I personally enjoyed those stories. I mentioned subplots and as well as Zara's complicated problem which completely blindsided me, there's the origins of Ryker and his 'brothers' and even a serial killer at large! Yes it's fair to say the author has thrown a lot into this book but as its the beginning of the next chapter so to speak I think she's hit the ground running at a fast and furious pace!

If there's one thing Rebecca Zanetti does and does well, it's bring her reader a sexy romance with a good dose of suspense and action that pulls you in and keeps you on your toes throughout. And that's very much the case with the opener to her Blood Brothers series: a spin-off from her Sin Brothers series, Deadly Silence introduces us to Ryker, Heath and Denver, three brothers who are trying to discover their pasts whilst running an investigative agency.
"...the past has always been coming for us. Now maybe we have a chance to get there first."
I have a love-hate relationship with Zanetti's books. The suspense and action elements of the storyline, as I say, pull you right in, the sex is scorching and the connections she creates between her characters are tight, bringing everything from humourous banter to heart wrenching emotion. What frustrates me is with the way she insists in taking intelligent, vocal, tough, independent women and letting them be controlled by the hero; dominance is sexy, controlling is not. And whilst this was the case with Ryker and Zara for the first half of the book, she redeemed herself by letting Zara find herself again whilst giving Ryker a heart and a real softer side as the story progressed.
"I don’t want days without her in them."
This is a series that has real promise and Zanetti has done an exceptional job in weaving the threads of the story to take her reader in unexpected directions. Familiar faces from the Sin Brothers make an appearance, there's no shortage of bad guys and action, it's fast-paced, intense and, irrespective of how I felt about Ryker being an alpha-hole at the start, he and Zara do have a great chemistry; from the fight between them to their sexy interludes, they are a pretty perfect match.
"We’re going to have to work on this Neanderthal issue you have going on."
I can't wait to see how this story unfolds in Lethal Lies and whilst it's not necessary to have read the Sin Brothers series, for me having done so was definitely an advantage and added to the overall reading experience.

OK first: There is so much action that you can’t put it down! I found my own heart pumping with adrenaline! If you aren’t careful you won’t see what hits you next! For those who have read the Sin Brothers series: We get to see those brothers at the end of this book! Woot Woot!
Ryker and his two “brothers” own a company that finds lost people. He knows that his brothers and he have some unusual abilities but don’t know exactly why. They were all raised in the same boy’s home and were tested by a woman doctor on their mental and physical capabilities. They were also beaten a lot. Then one day (you have to read more about why they did it) they put the whole place on fire and ran away. They have been together as family ever since. They don’t form other attachments since they are always on the run.
While working on one case, a young boy comes in after hacking their system and demands they find the same doctor that raised them but with a different name. This boy also has some strange abilities as well. They don’t want the case but after being blackmailed by the boy and they see his abilities they offer him sanctuary and take the case. He comes with some serious baggage. But he kind of tugs on my heart strings.
Then Ryker finds himself getting serious with this one girl, Zara. He knows he should break it off but he can’t help how his heart feels. Zara is a paralegal and is on a divorce case of a friend of hers. She is getting herself into trouble by helping her friend as her husband is whom the law firm is representing. Zara quickly finds herself way over her head and Ryker finds himself trying to help her.
So there are several cases going on at the same time and they all need some action time! It is exhilarating to go from one action to another and wonder how long they can keep it up; shoot I’m exhausted just reading about all the stuff they have to keep up with!
This is Ryker’s story and I’m looking forward to the other brothers’ stories and see more of the Sin Brothers too!
If you like mega action, superhuman abilities, The Sin Brothers series, fighting scenes, Legal issues, helicopters, bad PoPo’s, and finding love than this might be for you!

I liked this book. I do have to admit that it took me awhile to really get hooked by the story but once I was I really enjoyed it. I jumped at the chance to read this book since it is the start of a new series by an author that I have wanted to read for a long time. The story had a lot of great elements added to the appeal of the book.
I think that the main reason that I had some trouble getting into the story was because I just couldn't totally wrap my head around Ryker's behavior. I love an alpha male Hero as much as the next girl but he was a bit over the top. I really couldn't figure out why Zara would want to put up with him. As the book progressed and Ryker and Zara spent more time together their actions toward each other started to make more sense to me. In the end, I do think that their relationship worked very well.
Ryker was an great characters. He has had a difficult past and has dedicated himself to finding the lost along with his two blood brothers. He has some special abilities which make him very good at what he does. It has always just been him and his brothers with no other connections. He has been seeing Zara very casually. When he sees that she may be in trouble, he becomes very protective and realizes that maybe it wasn't really so casual after all.
Zara has also been through a lot as well. She has built a life that she is proud of working as a paralegal. She also tries very hard to help others and has sacrificed a lot to assist an old friend. She knows that things between her and Ryker have no chance of becoming anything more than physical so she takes what she can get. When she finds herself in trouble, she accepts Ryker's help but also makes a few brave moves herself.
I would recommend this book to fans of contemporary romance. This new series is a spin-off of the Sin Brothers series, which I still need to read. If you haven't read the earlier series, this is a great starting point since everything is explained very well. I can't wait to read the next Blood Brothers book!

In Deadly Silence Rebecca Zanetti delivers a gripping tale full of twists and intrigue. Ryker and Zara have a sex-only arrangement, which means no feelings, no dates, and no future. But when Zara's life gets put in danger Ryker can't stop his protective instincts that take over. His own life is a mess and people are still after him from his past, but he's not willing to leave Zara behind. Not they're both running from known and unknown enemies and they realize their feelings are far from just about sex.
This book kept me on the edge of my seat and wouldn't let me put it down until the very last page. I haven't read anything from this author in a super long time, pre-Goodreads days actually, but once I started this book I remembered how much I liked her writing. She has the ability to write a story that will suck you in and make you question everything. When you think you know what's actually going on, trust me, you don't. I loved that I had so many theories as to what was going to happen and the answers weren't always predictable.
Ryker was just amazing, he had the whole Alpha possessive bad boy thing going on that was swoon worthy. I loved how protective he became over Zara and how he wasn't willing to give her up. But with that being said I also loved that fact that Zara didn't just back down and let him fight her battles for her. She had a good amount of back bone and I loved seeing these two go head to head.
As much as I enjoyed this story I did have a few problems in the beginning and it made the story a little slow for me. Maybe because I hadn't read the previous series that this is a spin-off of, but I had moments that I felt like I was supposed to know these characters more than I did. It started off with Ryker and Zara already knowing each other and it kind of threw me off. But there was actually a little extra part in the back of the book from before the events in the first chapter and that kind of made up for it.
Overall, if you're looking for a romantic suspense full of shocking turns and sexy Alpha heroes, look no further this is the book for you. Ryker will have you swooning and the suspense will have you gasping.

Ryker Jones and his “brothers” have many irons in the fires with their agency. He knows with his past he shouldn't have become involved with paralegal Zara Remington but he will now do anything he can to keep her safe.
Zara knows she is taking a chance with her career by helping a friend who's getting a divorce, especially with her husband a client of the firm she works for. Suddenly her world spirals out of control and the only thing she is sure of is Ryker, but can she really trust him. There is more she doesn't know than things she does know. When her problems come to an explosive head and his past comes following they can only trust each other and the brothers that life had chosen for him. But waiting in the wings is a surprise that none of them could have expected.
Ryker is all alpha with a soft spot for those in need of help, he would do anything for his brothers and he knows he should give Zara up, because he knows that they will be running soon. But he can't especially when he knows she is in trouble and needs him. Zara is confused by Ryker, she wants more but she is trying hard to accept the friends with benefits that he seemed to want. Then he goes and changes the rules and she finds herself part of a family, something she always wanted, but this one has danger as its shadow.
DEADLY SILENCE is an incredible, intensely powerful read. Fans of Rebecca Zanetti know that this is book one of a spin-off of her popular Sin Brothers books. It is the story of Zara and Ryker while giving us time to get to know his “blood brothers” Heath and Denver with their horrible abusive past. With the past coming back to haunt them, we get to see what the evil doctor that we all came to hate in the past has been up to. Yes, she is alive and still planning to do her experiments, unless they can stop her ... and they are all willing to die trying.
If you loved the Sin Brothers books then you will definitely love DEADLY SILENCE. It is intense, steamy, funny, heartbreaking and action packed. Do not think this is a quick pick-up, put-down read ... so be prepared.

The minute I heard about Deadly Silence I knew I just had to read this book. The synopsis of this book really pulled me in,so when I got the chance to read this book I jumped into the story as soon as I possibly could. Deadly Silence was fantastic!
In this book we mainly follow Zara and Ryker and I absolutely love these two together. When we first meet them they are in a relationship but it's a purely physical relationship and you could tell at that point that the sexual chemistry between these two was just of the charts but there was more than just sex between these two , you could genuinely see that they both cared for each other ,you could see how it could blossom into a so much more and we get to see that happen during the course of this story and it was lovely to see. When we find out about Ryker past and why he is the way is you really feel for him, just hearing what he and his friends went through was enough to make me want to go in the book and just give them the biggest hugs ever. Zara is in a really tricky situation right in her professional life literally there were times where I felt like she was walking on eggshells there was so much going on in her life. Zara is such a good ,kind ,brave person and I loved that about her. There was so much happening in this book between the murders, the court cases and the bad guys Rebecca Zanetti constantly keeps you on your toes in this book, this story took so many twists and turns I did not expect , the minute I thought I knew what was about to happen or even had a clue in my head of what will be revealed I was taken by surprise and I love that. With the sexy romance, the fantastic cast of characters and the plot that will make it extremely difficult to put this book down Rebecca Zanetti creates an amazing romantic suspense with Deadly Silence.
Deadly Silence is a sexy, thrilling, addicting heart pounding story. I cannot wait to get my hands on the next book in the Blood Brothers series. If you love all these things in your books I suggest you get a copy

Deadly Silence is the first novel in the Blood Brothers series an intense romantic suspense featuring three brothers with special talents. We are not talking paranormal woo-woo but genetically engineered talents.
Zanetti introduces readers to Ryker, Denver, & Heath. Three men who bonded as children due to their circumstances and made themselves blood brothers. Ryker Jones and his brothers find the lost and own the Lost Bastards Investigative Agency.
Ryker met Zara Remington a paralegal while working a case for her law firm. The two began a no-strings attached relationship. When business brings Ryker to town, they hook up for a night of passion. The relationship has slowly evolved into uncharted territory but it is like a huge elephant in the room neither mentions. That is until Ryker finds a bruise on Zara’s check. Ryker is all alpha, and protects what he deems his. Poor Zara she wants uncomplicated as she juggles the complications in her life..but Ryker is having non of that. Bwahaha.
As Ryker tries to decide what kind of trouble Zara is in, he and his brothers get an unusually case that has ties to their own past. The tale that unfolds brings us twists, climactic action scenes and plenty of surprises that will keep you flipping the pages. The Lost Bastards client is someone ya’ll are going to love. I wanted to hug them and kiss them even as their back-story made me mad at the storyline villains. This character stole every scene and I loved it.
Zanetti managed to give the story balance despite the multiple threads. Some threads wrapped up and others were left unanswered as part of the overall series ARC. She did so while introducing us to these brothers and deliver a hot, smexy romance filled with heat and heart. The romance had a little push and pull as these two dealt with Ryker’s need to protect and Zara’s fears of commitment but their feelings were genuine. I liked the back and forth banter between them. Copy provided by publisher, full review at caffeinated book reviewer.

I loved this book, just loved it. Deadly Silence is the first book in Rebecca Zanetti's Blood Brothers Series. It is a spin-off from her Sin Brothers Series, which I haven't read yet, but believe me I will be reading it soon. Deadly Silence is romantic suspense at its best, with a little bit of Syfy mixed in. Ryker Jones is the perfect mix of danger, hotness, and pure badass. He and his brothers, Heath and Denver, have a knack for finding people, and are the best private investigators you can hire to do just that. They have a mysterious and dangerous past, one they've been running from for quite some time. However, when Zara Remington turns out to be much more than a fling for Ryker, he finds himself wanting to stay close to her. Zara is a paralegal, and when a case her firm is working on suddenly puts her in some serious danger, Ryker's protective instincts kick in and he finds himself doing anything and everything in his power to keep her safe. Meanwhile, he and his brothers find themselves facing their own past, whether they're ready to or not. The one thing Ryker never wanted though, was for his past and present (meaning Zara) to collide........
As things become even more dangerous, the answers to questions Ryker has had all his life are revealed, explaining why he and his brothers are the way they are and why they can do the things they do. During this process, there are nonstop twists and turns that will keep you turning the pages to the wee hours of the morning, not wanting to put the story down. That, combined with the red hot romance, makes for one fantastic and exciting read. I am dying to read the next book in the series, as well as get to know the Dean Brothers from Zanetti's Sin Brothers Series, who make an appearance in this book as well.
Deadly Silence is a must read for fans of Rebecca Zanetti and fans of romantic suspense as well. I most definitely recommend picking this one up.

Rebecca Zanetti did it again. This was all that and more. If you want excellent Writing, you've got it! If you want action, you've got it. If you want sexy love, you've got it. If you want a suspenseful mystery, you've got it.
I just loved this book. I loved the plot/writing and awesome narration by Karen White. Zanetti always gives fascinating characters. Here, the heroine Zara was another compelling one. She was bravery, smart and had a big heart. I love strong heroines and she was more than a match for Ryker. I think she definitely inherited all of that from her grandmother. Ryker Jones was a typical Zanetti hero. Alpha male, who is a protector and fiercely loyal to his loved ones. He is possessive, strong, intelligent, mysterious and just so sexy.
There was a lot going on in this book. There is a serial killer. There are three brothers who are hiding from a past and that past is catching up with them. Zara works for a law firm that represents unsavory people and thanks to a new case, Zara has gotten in the middle of some unpleasant people. Then throw in Ryker's situation where Ryker and his two brothers were being blackmailed and there just bad guys all around. Yet it is obvious all these single threads had a connection, it just a matter of connecting the dots.
I know many people say you don't have to read Sin Brothers, but I strongly urge you to read that series first. After all, you'd have to know Dr. Madison and the Commander and the Grey Brothers to truly appreciate the tie-in with this series. Greg and his subplot also would make more sense with the background from that series.
This book was such an exhilarating ride and I couldn't put it down. I loved the characters, the story and I am ecstatic for where this series is going. I can't wait for book 2 and the introduction of more "brothers".
*I received this book in exchange for an honest review* but I also bought the audio for myself.

Fast-paced, with an easy to read flow, Rebecca Zanetti’s Deadly Silence is an entertaining and thoroughly gripping paranormal romantic suspense read. From the start, I was drawn in by Ryker, Heath, and Denver’s story, and intrigued about what sets them apart from everyone else. Because they are different, and it’s that difference that makes them so dynamic and fascinating to read about, and it’s also what makes them such a good fit for the background they share together.
I loved the chemistry and tension between Ryker and Zara. Not only were they well-matched together, but they were both such larger than life characters they commanded my attention at every turn of the page. They’re both headstrong and intelligent, passionate about what they do and protective of those they love. They’re also intense, and extremely problematic for each other’s peace of mind.
I know the Blood Brothers series is a spin-off of Rebecca Zanetti’s Sin Brothers series, but I haven’t read that yet, so I can’t comment on anything that happened in it. I can, however, tell you the Blood Brothers series is off to a fantastic start. Every character I met in Deadly Silence, I wanted to know more about because each of them were so distinct in personality, they all stood out to me, and all of them played their part to the hilt in this book. Not only catching my attention but holding it until the end.
With deep characterization, richly detailed scenes, an intriguing suspense story, and characters who practically leap off the page, Deadly Silence by Rebecca Zanetti is a must read for paranormal romantic suspense fans. It’s a story that will keep you on the edge of your seat and keep you reading until the very last page. Highly, highly recommend reading this book.

Received in exchange for a honest review.
Ryker and his brothers fascinated me. They had all these unique talents and their childhood was heartbreaking. I can see why they got into the field they did. And at the end that was definitely a twist.
Ryker was a mystery and a little broody. You could see that he wanted more faster than Zara did. When you first see their relationship it is murky. they were bed only acquaintances with some serious chemistry. Over time Ryker found more with zara but tried to protect her. Over time they learned to see more about each other and ryker wanted more. Ryker saw nuances that Zara didn’t think he did but she was trying to hold firm. Each intimate moment and talk brought them closer and found them protecting each other more. That was until danger came her way. Even if she didn’t believe any danger was surrounding her. Suddenly her friend is dead and she is in a murder investigation while trying to keep her involvement in the situation quiet.
While this is going on her and ryker learn more about each other and start to get closer. While this happens, Ryker and her brothers get a new client that brings their past to them, a murder on their door and a serial killer they are still trying to catch. Watching these two get close and learn more about each other was amazingly intriguing. the plot line was alluring and seeing the talents of ryker and his brothers was awesome. the bond they have was incredible.
This is a intriguing dangerous nicely paced story that has you hanging in some mysteries like the serial killer and their past. The romance sparks and watching Ryker and Zara fall more in love while the danger becomes more and more palpable was sweet and addictive.

REVIEW:
Great start to Ms. Zanetti’s new series. The Blood Brothers series is a spin off of the Sin Brother’s series. While you don’t have to read the Sin Brother’s first I would recommend it!! There is a lot that happens in that series that I believe is going to have a huge impact on the Blood Brothers.
Deadly Silence introduces us to Ryker, Denver and Heath. These three have been friends and family since they bonded in the boys home they lived in. And they just happened to be some of Dr. Madison’s pet projects.
There is a lot that is going on in this story. We have multiple storylines happening at once, but Ms. Zanetti does a great job of balancing each of these stories and give us answers to almost everything (because she has to leave some questions for us).
I really liked Ryker & Zara. Ryker is the dark mysterious bad boy who has a big heart that every girl wishes she could find. Zara is the perfect match for Ryker. She is not a pushover and she challenges Ryker every step of the way.
Of course we have to talk about the other Jones’ brothers Heath & Denver. They are just as dark and mysterious but there is something about each of these guys that will shock us and possibly even shock their brother too.
I am looking forward to seeing where Ms. Zanetti is going to take this series and how much she is going to make us suffer!

Rebecca Zanetti has done it again! I LOVED this book! I read the Sin Brothers a couple years back, and I fell in love with the Gray Brothers. I was sad to see the series go. Now, I can feel like I am back there all over again with her latest series, The Blood Brothers!
Deadly Silence is a fast-paced page turner that will keep you intrigued and guessing until the very end. This book has it all, steam, suspense, a bit of paranormal activity (not like the movie) and a comradery between the main and secondary characters that many books can miss.
There was quite a bit of suspense in this book. I loved that the plot was not easily predictable, and the characters reactions and actions seemed to be natural. Or, as natural as they can be, given who the characters are.
There were a couple surprise characters who showed up, and it was great to see the interactions between the groups of people. I was certainly surprised to see them!
Zara and Ryker are two strong, independent people who don’t “need” anyone to take care of them. However, in their own ways, they both come to realize the do need someone, and it was great to see them begin to rely on each other, trust the other, and love the other.
Although Ryker and Zara are both strong and independent characters, they both find a way to be vulnerable to each other, and it was beautiful to watch that progress. And let’s take a minute to talk about the steam. These two were burning up the sheets! I loved the relationship between the two, and watching their love blossom was a sweetness you don’t often see in-between all the action.
I loved this first introduction to the Blood Brothers series, and I cannot WAIT for the others to come out!

Let me start by saying I have not read any of Rebecca's Sin Brothers books. I have read just about every other book she has written but I just never picked up Sin Brothers. So my thoughts are, you don't need to read Sin Brothers before you read this one. I didn't feel like I was missing out on anything that may have happened in the other series.
This book basically highlights three brothers, Ryker, Heath and Denver who end up in the same boys home at the age of 12. They may not be related by blood but to these three men they are most definitely brothers and will do whatever is necessary to keep each other safe.
Twenty years later and they are still together running Lost Bastards Investigative Services. They find the lost and are currently working on a case reluctantly with the FBI. Since this is a paranormal, I'm not giving anything away by saying each of these men are a bit different and not in a bad way. You'll need to read to find out exactly what makes them different. Each brother also has a past and a childhood they are trying to understand.
There is a case to be solved and the case itself is not resolved by the end of the book but there are many twists, turns and new information along the way. Of course there is also romance and a strong female lead, Zara Remington, I absolutely loved and her grandmother who I wanted as my own.
Rebbecc'a writing is amazing, her descriptions, scenes and stories are fantastic. It is always an adventure when you're reading her books. If you love paranormal suspense written with an easy flow and lots of action, then definitely pick up this book. I would highly recommend any of her books.
I received a copy of this book directly from the publisher.

4 stars for Deadly Silence - book one in The Blood Brothers series. This is a spin-off from The Sin Brothers series which I have never read, but hear nothing but good things about and plan on purchasing soon. You can start this series without having read the other (like I did) and not miss a thing. This series centers around the three owners of the Lost Bastards Investigative Agency and with this book it is specifically alpha-male Ryker Jones and the woman he has only ever had a casual relationship with Zara Remington as our H/h.
Zara works as a paralegal for a law office that hired Ryker's PI firm for investigative work. While casual these two have a sexual relationship that they both enjoy. Over time though both Zara and Ryker start to open up a bit more and form a deeper bond. Zara gets herself into a sticky situation and ends up needing Ryker to keep her safe too.
Ryker and his brothers grew up in less than ideal conditions with adults that could care less about their well being. So Ryker being the oldest took it upon him self to be the protector of the bunch and he still feels that way now almost twenty years later. Those same protective instincts are what have him eventually claiming Zara as more instead of the friends with benefits as they previously were. A serial killer on the loose and his sketchy past being just around the corner have Ryker working double time trying to solve the case.
This was my first book by this author and it will not be my last. I loved all the characters she brought to life in a picturesque Wyoming town. The suspense and mystery were just a bonus to the already rock solid romance. This is definitely a series starter you don't want to miss :)

In my review of Total Surrender, the 4th and final book in the Sin Brothers series new characters were introduced and I said that I hoped that meant that a new series was in the works. I got my wish with Deadly Silence.
I started the book ready to visit with old friends but quickly realized that I had never met the three brothers that were featured in the story. Ryker, Heath and Denver Jones grew up with an entirely different background than the group in the previous series. They are blood brothers; very close even though they do not know their family background. Dr. Madison is a part of both the Jones' and the Grey's past and Sheriff Cobb, a new character is introduced. So where was the tie in. That happened when a 12 year old hacked their systems and tries to blackmail them into finding Madison and finding his brothers.
This is Ryker’s story and it is fast paced and full of both danger and romance. The romance is provided by Zara, a paralegal who works at a firm that has hired Ryker’s private detective agency. When a friend of Zara is murdered Ryker has to work hard to protect her and find the guilty party. That is just part of the danger for the group. The past is trying very hard to catch up with the Jones brothers. There are enough twists and turns to give you whiplash. There were certainly enough to keep me reading.
I loved the tie in between the two series. Ryker, Heath and Denver are all great characters. The action fits the story line and sets the hooks for the next books in the series. The story line and the romance was just what I was hoping for in this series. Book two, Lethal Lies is due out 04/17.

Rebecca Zanetti has taken her readers on an amazing thrill ride with the Sin Brothers Series and the spin off of the new “Blood Brothers” series starts off with a “Deadly Silence” as all the players are brought onto the stage of experiments, betrayal and secrets that seem to exist among them, yet those very secrets seem to cement a bond with these enhanced blood brothers.
Behind the “Lost Bastards Investigative Agency” are a group of blood brothers, with a past tortured by scientific experiments and genetic testing that erases the human to create a beast. Yet that very fear of the beast motivates the brothers to escape and help the innocent. As a PI, Ryker Jones has a very good cover up, but the past has a way of creeping up within the shadows of his life and his brothers and he would kill to protect his family.
As a paralegal Zara Remington has her hands full, what with her legal work helping a friend and her nights being spent with Ryker. Little does she know that one of her cases would lead her straight into danger and get into the cross hairs of Ryker’s past. Strong, independent and stubborn, Zara fights for the innocent, and would give her life for her loved ones…just like Ryker.
A brilliant start to the series, “Deadly Silence” also brings the Sin Brothers and it is always a pleasure to have them re-visit the readers. And the story doesn’t disappoint as Rebecca Zanetti weaves another series, to give another set of blood brothers justice and hope for a normal life.

Deadly Silence has an original start. The two main characters, Ryker and Zara, are already in the midst of an affair. They don't actually know that much about each other, having declared it a casual relationship. However, Ryker, showing up at Zara's house for dinner finds her with a bruised face, and all of a sudden, this affair is no longer casual, it gets really serious, really fast.
Starting the book in the middle of this scene, gives a staccato urgency and moodiness to the storyline. Not knowing their history, I thought Ryker came off pushy, and Zara seems a bit taken aback by his attitude and sudden possessiveness. She gives some push back, trying to gain some distance, which only makes him dig in his feet. He wants to know who hit her, and he is not going to let her get away with not telling him. I'll admit that the beginning of this book, and the mood this author set, made it difficult for me to immediately jump in, but once I got used to the pace, I liked the dark storyline, and was curious to see how their issues would be resolved.
It's when Rykers brothers are introduced to the story that I truly start to enjoy and understand these characters motives. What I thought was a kind of abrupt start to the book and dark direction Ryker was taking he and Zara's relationship began to make sense once he and his brothers backgrounds were filled in. Even though the synopsis declares this a romantic suspense, for those of you who are fans of her paranormal romances, you won't be disappointed in the unusual talents these brothers possess.

Ryker is a private detective who specializes in finding the hard to find. His company is called Lost Bast$rds Investigative Service. He's in this business with his two blood brothers. Even though they aren't technically related, the scar on each of their hands makes them blood. Ryker, Heath, and Denver were all raised in the same orphanage where they were always being "studied" by Dr. Daniels. They each had "special" things about them that the doctor loved to study each one. During their time at this home, they were all beaten by the Sheriff when they did what the Sheriff considered wrong. These boys plotted their escape and just waited until the time was right... and then escaped. They may have escaped as kids, but will their past catch up to them as adults?
Zara is a paralegal and has a "friends with benefits" relationship with Ryker. He's such a mystery to her and the sex is off the charts between them! She's helping a friend of hers but helping this friend could cost her her job among other things.
This is such an amazing book! There are SO MANY twists and turns it'll make your head spin, but they are all done in a fashion where you are not lost or confused, but totally engrossed in what is happening! Just let me say Dr. Daniels alone could have her own book....she's a nut!! I loved how I thought I had some things figured out but, it went much deeper than I ever imagined!! Although Zara and Ryker were very secretive with each other, I loved the chemistry between them!

The boys are back in town! Fans of the previous series, Sin Brothers, are gonna drop everything the day this hits the stands. It was a one sit read-a-thon for me. It was everything an action adventure romance lover could want.
This is truly where Zanetti shines as an author. I’m not sure if it’s just this particular series/plot/storyline, but she creates solid gold in this realm. From the moment we met Ryker Jones, he exudes everything you want in an action-adventure mystery series. He’s a smart, capable guy with heart and a moral compass that will always be front and center – especially when it comes to keeping himself and his brothers safe.
Zara Remington: a paralegal with a sense of what’s right in a corrupt world and knows what she needs to do to help a friend. But she’s now greatly taken aback by the recent turn of events where it comes to Ryker. It was agreed. Just for fun. No strings. Scratching an itch. But now things are different. After she’s been hurt trying to help out a friend, their relationship has changed in more ways than ever expected.
An ongoing mystery, personal issues, work related cases, and interpersonal drama all combine to make one hell of a captivating read. As I said earlier, be prepared for a READ-A-THON. Once you start, stopping will be an issue.
It’s also funny and loving in unexpected ways. Character cameos will thrill fans of the previous series and the outlying stories to come from the other “Lost Bastards” had me ecstatic for what’s to come!

DEADLY SILENCE is the first in a new series, and it starts off running. The suspenseful elements mixed in with the mystery and intrigue created a page turner of a story, and it just kept coming. It doesn't really give you a lot of time to catch your breath before it's off again. There is quite a bit of detail and story for Zanetti to pack into one book, and it can feel a bit overwhelming, but it helps to build not only this story but further novels in the series.
What starts off as a sex-only relationship soon morphs into more when Zara's life becomes endangered. Ryker's protectiveness and past come out to haunt him when the woman he cares for is in the crossfire and there's nothing he can do to fix that. Their relationship is both feisty and full of passion which leveled out the deep and intricate plot nicely. They had a fun zest to them with Zara's headstrong nature and Ryker's scarred upbringing--both making for a sexy push-pull.
While I enjoyed the story, it was harder to connect with the love story portion of the novel only because they are already involved when the novel begins. It lends a reader to think they're missing something or are behind, and it took me a bit to shake that feeling off. I truly did enjoy the edge-of-your-seat intensity that the plot carried throughout, and all of the side plot lines that wove in and out as it went along. I am really looking forward to where the next one will take us as Zanetti always aces her suspense.

Zara Remington, just a normal day to day paralegal but she has someone in her life who isn't entirely what or who he says he is. After dealing with a friends divorce and ultimately her death then Zara is dragged further into chaos and has to fight to come out still breathing.
Ryker Jones, a man that hides behind multiple identities in order to keep himself as well as his brothers safe from a horrible past. Except he has this woman who he can't keep away from. She makes him want things that he thought he would never want but has now. When a situation happens and throws the woman he cares about into serious danger can he help save her or will he lose the tight hold he has on his control?
This was my first read ever by this author and let me just say that it was an eye opener as well a gripping read! i have never read anything along the lines of this book and i was fascinated by the characters throughout and i am soo glad that i read this book and i will say once you start this one that you will not be able to put it down, i know i didnt!
Now the downside to this book...relax it isn't bad....THE ENDING!! i hate when books leave off and give no indication to the next book! GAH!! i need this next book in this series like yesterday, i need to know what happens with Ryker, Denver and Heath but also with the others! yes there are others but i wont say who! read it and find out!

New set of brothers are introduced in Rebecca Zanetti new suspenseful, paranormal romance. If you thought that the Sin brothers were dangerous then you haven't seen anything yet. Blood Brothers is the spin-off from the Sin brothers and can be read as a stand-alone.
You know when you see that Rebecca Zanetti has a new book coming that you’re in for a treat. Well, this reviewer is here to tell you to forget Halloween its Christmas in October.
In Deadly Silence it starts off with three boys who are orphaned and living in an environment where only the strongest survives. From the time they escape they grew to become one of the best at finding lost people. So, they opened up a business and called it “Lost Bastard Investigation”.
Ryker, along with Heath and Denver; his two blood brother are on the hunt for a serial killer who is going around killing young women with one common characteristic…the color of their hair.
That is not the only mystery that needs to be solved. A young boy of twelve who hacked into the Lost Bastard Investigation computer system, has come calling. He wants to find some woman that the Blood Brother thought they would never see again.
As the story unfolds Ryker, Heath and Denver will have to concur their past…in order for them to have a future.
Deadly Silence was an excellent start to this new series and this reviewer can’t wait to read more!

'Deadly Silence' is the first book in the Blood Brothers series, a spin-off of the Sin Brothers series. But you don't need to have read the previous series to follow along with this one. I am new to both these series, and had no trouble engaging with these fascinating characters or the world Rebecca Zanetti has built.
I love a good camaraderie book, and these three brothers had that in spades. The flashbacks to what they survived and the men they've become won my heart. Add in their occupation of finding the lost and solving crimes touched my heart even more. Their desire to seek the truth and justice won me over. Then throw in a great romance, and this story had it all.
Ryker and Zara were a great couple. Zanetti's pacing of revealing the different aspects of not only their relationship, but their individual hang-ups and fears, really enabled me to engage with this couple and clearly see their compatibility and love. I loved them together and especially loved what they brought out of each other. Even the lovely family they created with the brothers and other characters who were added in, really touched me.
This was such an exciting start to this series, and I cannot wait to read what happens next!

What makes you different is the one thing that will get you killed. Zara has found herself in a huge mess, her friend has been murdered, her sleepover buddy Ryker has decided that he wants more than just sex and there is someone out there trying to make sure that she dies. So things are going really well for her. Zara wants to know more about Ryker, she knows that she can trust him with her life but he has so many secrets and she just wants to understand what is happening around her.
Ryker can't be honest with her no matter how he wants to be with her, he is on the run but he hopes that he can find the witch that hurt him & his brothers and all he wants is for them all to be happy.
Ryker and his brothers are different, they are quicker, awesome hearing and just better than most, they have found out that they were a part of an experiment and that they weren't the only young children harmed.
Will they get out of this mess all in one piece and is it their time to get justice? A great new series it is getting harder to choose a favorite now as Rebecca just keeps on giving us great books to read. I was lucky enough to get a copy via Netgalley & the publishing house to review on their beh

You know that I loved Rebecca Zanetti’s Sin Brothers series so I HAD to have the Blood Brothers series…I mean, I just had to. I need to know all that is going on in these boys’ lives.
Zanetti brought back the macho, protective, alpha male back with Ryker. Every turn he had his eye on Zara and would not let her out of his arm’s reach. His brotherly love for Denver and Heath was adorable and tightly bonded. Then to throw in Greg, his brothers, and the Sin Brothers (yes, they make an appearance!) made everything great. Not to mention that he was a complete badass throughout the book looking after all who mean something to him.
Zara was just perfect for Ryker on every level. She was cute, smart, and extremely brave. Her immediate protectiveness of Greg truly won me over. The one thing that was hard to handle was the constant danger that she was put in throughout the whole book. The poor girl would get saved to only be in trouble the next turn.
This book has some great action in it but also sets up some future great action. I am excited to see what the rest of the series will bring. Hopefully the demise of the doctor and Sheriff Cobb. They are the worst!

Ryker Jones isn’t the type of man to take no for an answer. He gives the term alpha male a whole new meaning, actually. He’s stubborn, strong willed and protects those he loves with everything he’s got. Deadly Silence had so many twists and turns happening as I read that I sometimes had to stop and progress what had just happened in order to keep up. It's easy to sit down and read this in one sitting but I am actually glad I broke it off in peaces and really savored each word.
Even though I didn’t read the first series (this is a spin off of The Sin Brothers series), I found myself loving this book regardless. If you have read the Sin Brothers series, you will undoubtedly love Deadly Silence. If you have not read it, I guarantee you will be picking it up as soon as you put the Blood Brothers down- which is what I did. Deadly Silence was jam packed with action, mystery, nail-biting-suspense and romance.
From the first page to the very last, Rebecca Zanetti knows exactly how to keep the reader lost in the story and begging for more.

From the first page to the very last, Rebecca Zanetti knows exactly how to keep the reader lost in the story and begging for more.

Rebecca Zanetti have to say is one clever author teasing us with a man like Ryker Jones and the Lost Boys. All his life Ryker has led a life that he can control but when it comes to a woman like Zara Remington he is lost. I loved that no matter how hard he tries the love he feels for Zara is unforgettable. It's not just Zara now in his life but his brothers have come to mean so much to them and their unique abilities sets them apart. Seeing all of them together makes him want to have a family of his own and only one woman can complete the dream he secretly wants. Now Zara is not a damsel in distress and can kick butt like everybody else which just surprises Ryker. Deadly Silence is one that will make you want more of these Lost Boys and boy cannot wait for the next brother. Loved it.

I enjoy Rebecca Zanetti's work. There is something about it that is compelling. It is gritty, but not so much so that it feels like a crime drama.
Ryker and Zara are involved when you first meet them. well, friends with benefits and trying to figure out if they are involved. And this works well, as the story gets going pretty quickly and I am not sure I would have believed the relationship if it had started at the beginning of the book and Zara had been quickly tossed into the middle of the mess.
It did start to feel familiar, there were characters that were mentioned from previous books. You don't have to have read them to be able to follow along here, but it was interesting to see some of those characters reappear.
As with all of Zanetti's books, there is a lot of detail. This is not a light read...but I enjoy that. It is fun to have a book that grabs you, that you need to pay attention to or you will miss something. It gives the book a depth that you relate to.
The relationships, not only of Ryker and Zara, but of all of the characters, were compelling and I am interested to see how they will evolve through the series.
I recommend this book.

I used to read a lot of thrillers/romantic suspense books, but nowadays I only read those when I am in the mood for it. I was in the mood this time so picked up Deadly Silence because the blurb sounded interesting. It started out really strong and I loved the whole mysterious vibe around Ryker (LOVE his name). He definitely was a very alpha male that wants everything to go his way no questions asked. I was glad Zara was not a push over and told Ryker off when he got a bit too protective and secretive. There were a couple of plot lines in this book which was really interesting, however one of the story line will continue on to the next book. I enjoyed the first half more than the second half because it was getting a bit too confusing with the increase of characters. A couple of characters from Rebecca's other series made an appearance in this book. Which added another layer to the back story of the characters from this series. I am looking forward to the upcoming book and I think I'll enjoy it a bit more than this one, because there are many things that are still not resolved. The story wasn't complete in my opinion.

**I received a free copy of this book to read and review for Wicked Reads.**
This is the first book for me from this author. I didn't realize this was a spin off until after I had finished it. I had no issue reading this without reading the Sin Brother's series first.
Zara and Ryker have an agreement. Neither of them is looking for a relationship. They've agreed to food, sex and not talking about real life things. The more they are together the hotter they seem to get. Ryker tries to keep her at arms length thinking he's keeping her safe until she isn't safe and he does everything in his power to protect her.
Things are revealed to Zara about Ryker and his past. Things she doesn't want to know, but things that could compromise her future with Ryker. Ryker's past showing up is about to throw him back into the nightmare he thought he dug himself out of.
There is so much going on Ryker's past add in a serial killer and a sexy hot relationship and it keeps the suspense level high and the action fast paced. I can't wait to see where the next book takes these characters.

I was so stoked about this new series by Rebecca Zanetti. I have just about everything she has written so far that I jumped at the chance to review this book. I can't say I was surprised I loved the characters and the fact that the list of potential books seem so vast from just this first book. This is an amazing beginning to the series with a treasure trove of information to start us off with. If readers don't fall in love with this book literally loaded with broken men who need that perfect woman to fix them I will be shocked and a bit saddened! I am extremely excited to get on to the next book and find out where this is going to lead. The author has started us off in a new Zanetti world pretty much like our own with a few modifications and I just loved it. She writes extremely descriptive passages with such intricate detail, I can play the book in my head as I read it like a movie. This thrill ride of a book is the perfect start off to her new series and I am looking forward to the next book! I Highly recommend it.

I was so excited when I learned of this spin off to the Sin Brothers series. Those Dean brothers are easy to love and to then find out there was another bunch of brothers, this made me on happy girl!
Here we have Ryker (just the name alone does something to me) and his brothers - Heath and Denver, running from their past while they strive to help others and also find out more about who they are.
Running their own private investigative services, they help people find missing people and other similar type cases. Ryker meets Zara when her law firm hires him and the two become friends with benefits. It's when Zara comes into trouble that Ryker realizes he wants more and at the same time, his past comes a little too close for comfort.
This story is full of tension, a few twists and lots of action. And not to mention, the cameo of the Dean brother's was the cherry on top of it all!
You don't have to have read the Sin Brothers to read this series although I'd suggest that you do. Either before or after this series, it's worth the read. I'm looking forward to the next book in this series.

OMG! This book grabs you and will not let go! I started it Sunday afternoon and despite fixing a very quick supper and even getting in a short cat nap, I managed to finish it by 2 AM. Generally, I'm not real fond of the Alpha alpha male that stands around beating his chest and demanding that he knows the best for everyone. I tended to bristle up every time Ryker pulled that crap with Zara, but trot out a kid, a Grams and a couple of brothers and you see this He-man guy kinda melt. So okay! I'll give him and this awesome book 5 stars.
This book has some great twists and if you were a fan of the Sin Brothers series (and who wouldn't be) you get a reunion with the Dean Brothers. I loved the fast paced action of this story and I'm not going to say much about the actual storyline as I don't want to ruin any of the Ah-ha moments. I will say that Zanetti is at her best with this type of story and has you rooting for the good guys and laughing out loud while booing the villains. So rush out and get a copy or download the ebook and then be prepared to not move for hours while devouring this story.

Loved Deadly Silence by Rebecca Zanetti! This is the first book I have ever read from Rebecca Zanetti and let me tell you....I really enjoyed the story of Ryker and Zara. I felt so bad for Ryker and his brothers Heath & Denver on what they went through in their young lives and what they had to endure to escape. Zara a young Paralegal who does not want to be like her mother who let men dictate her life. What Zara and Ryker started was a casual relationship until she started cooking him dinner, dressing up for him, and making him feel at home. Ryker knew that Zara was special and little by little he started to let her into his heart that was filled with rage and bad memories. Even though, Zara did not want to let Ryker into her heart. She knew what she felt for him was real. With so much drama and chaos that surrounds their life. In a moment when she thought she could lose Ryker she knew that she loved him. It is a great story filled of uncertainity, trusting, believing, family, and love. I volunteer to review book for Netgalley to give an honest review.

I loved everything about this book! It's a great start to a new spin off series by one of my favorite authors. I can truly say that I've loved every book of Ms. Zanetti that I've had the pleasure of reading.
Ryker Jones is one of three blood brothers who served a horrific upbringing in a boys home. They've started The Lost Bastards Investigative Agency and using their special abilities they find the hard to find. He meets Zara Remington while working a case for a lawyers office and they start a temporary no strings affair. The only problem he can't seem to stop thinking about Zara and it feels anything but temporary, not at all what he needs at the moment. That is until Zara is in trouble and everything in Ryker goes on high alert...no one touches what's his.
There is so much that goes on in the book and it keeps you on the edge of your seat throughout the entire story. I can not wait to read the next book.

For the first book a series, this is a good one. I just felt like it was about the romance between Ryker and Zara then about the murders. However, I liked Ryker and Zara, so I am not complaining. They had anything but a "casual" relationship. So glad they realized this and decided to make it permanent. Ryker's brothers, Heath and Denver were awesome as well. The witty banter between the brothers had me laughing and smiling. Due to the fact that I enjoyed all of the main characters in this book, it was very easy to read. The last half of the story is where I would say that it did pick up regarding the murders. However, the murders were not the intriguing part about the story but the backstory and someone from the guys past that had me wanting to read more. I do look forward to checking out the next book and getting to know Heath and Denver better as well as seeing Ryker and Zara again.
I did receive this book from the publisher for a review.

I read Rebecca Zanetti's Scorpius series and really liked it, so I was excited to see she had something else out. I loved this one! The characters clicked and had great chemistry, the story was fast-paced, it had some twists and turns, and left room for more to come - all the things that keep me up at night with 'just one more chapter'. I went back after finishing this one in two nights and ordered some of her older books. I don't know if she's just really got the hang of it now or hired a different editor or what, but her latest books are fantastic. I read her Realm series and found it pretty repetitive; Deadly Silence was anything but. This is a spin-off of another of her series with a different set of brothers. I hadn't read that series prior to reading this book, and honestly it works just fine as a stand alone. I'd definitely recommend this one!

Zara is having a no strings attached relationship with a man for a few months and everything is going good until he finds her with a bruise on her cheek. He instantly wants to know what happened and she refuses to tell him. She is trying to help her friend get away from her husband when her husband tries to hit her and she gets in the way and he hits her instead. Ryker is her lover and he is not supposed to ask questions because then that will mean their no strings attached will become something different. She is not ready for this and does not want to share any information with him. They are both getting into some dangerous stuff with work and are trying to keep each other out of their business. Will their relationship go to the next level. It sure will.

REVIEW:
Wow! What a great new series by Zanetti! It’s full of non-stop action, suspense and mystery; all woven together with a hot romance. If I had to say one negative thing, it would be that I wished I liked the characters better in the beginning. I understood why their characters were hard to get to know, but it took a little time to care about them. The story was a wild ride and every time I thought “ok, this is the storyline”, another twist would pop up. It did not become muddled however, as it all made sense to set the groundwork for the books to some. I for one can’t wait to read them all!

Gritty. Raw. Sexy. Suspenseful. These are few words that immediately pops into mind when describing Rebecca Zanetti’s newest romantic suspense Deadly Silence. Zanetti masterfully weaves suspense in such a gritty and intense fashion that readers like myself are thrown into a gauntlet of thrills, unexpected surprises and an unraveling of secrets. This book definitely kept me glued to my kindle as I was immersed into the lives of Ryker and his blood brothers, Heath and Denver. Not only did Zanetti present a story where you are left in wonder of the thrills and suspense, but she also sophisticatedly weaves a little romance into the mix. I did find the complexity of this story to be one of the most intriguing aspect of the story since there was so much unpeeling that Zanetti slowly revealed and in such left you riveted for more. I seriously can't wait for the next book.

This is the first book I have read by Rebecca Zanetti and I really enjoyed it! Ryker and Zara are great and I really love how the story seems to have two plots, one for Ryker and one for Zara which really helped the story be as great as it was.
I was never confused and I’m glad that Rebecca wrote it that way. I hate being confused in books, throws the whole flow off, so that excited me! Even when she introduced new characters toward the end. Which I think if I had read the other series then they wouldn’t have actually been new to me, but I haven’t yet. So I’m glad she did a little introducing.
I completely recommend this book to you if you enjoy romantic suspense. Very engaging and keeps your attention the whole time!

Rebecca is a new to me author and I think I'm a new fan now. I know this is a spin-off of the Sin Brothers books but I felt like it's ok to read this without reading that one first. The start of the book did start off a bit slow for me. I don't know if that is because it acts like you should know the characters or it's just the writing.
Ryker owns an investigation agency with Heath and Denver. Those two are defiantly ones I want to see again. Love these guys. Zara I am on the fence over her. I feel like she did grow a lot in this book but I never really fully invested in her.
The story here is action packed and the chemistry is smoking hot. I recommend this one to any fan of romantic suspense stories. Great read!

Well Ms Z excellent continuation to the Sin Brothers. Yes this is a new series but you wrapped up a lot of answers about Greg. Glad to know I can get the next Audio book from Audible as well the book from Kindle.
To say fast moving would be an understatement. I have went back and listened or read certain parts over again. I love doing that when I come across a series that is a continuation.
Sara and Ryker make and excellent ? couple. If you have read the SIn Brothers then I will tell you this the creepy Dr Madison is alive. Thanks Z for your fast moving and action filled ?s.
Oh yeah this is to Karen the narrator for Audible excellent job.

I was so excited to read this because I love the Sin Brothers series. Deadly Silence is just as good! (And I am so happy that we got to see a brief glimpse of the Sin Brothers. Especially Nate! Hopefully we get to see them more in future books because I missed them and loved seeing their iterations with our new heroes.) I won't give too much away, but readers will enjoy this book whether they have read the other series or not. It has tons of action and romance with lots of intrigue and suspense. It's a quick and sexy read that will get your blood pumping. Deadly Silence is written in the fast and addictive writing all of Rebecca's books are known for and I cannot get enough of. It kept me on my toes and I cannot wait to read more in this series!

The thriller parts of the story are good, but they are given short shrift, and almost drowned by the "romantic" aspects of the story.
It is almost gag inducing with very detailed sex scenes at every possible moment. I don't mind a little romance or sex in a thriller.
but this much graphic sex was too much. I think the book is in the wrong category and should be under "romance" instead of under
"thrillers".
The author uses up her descriptive powers on the sex scenes, so the action scenes are pretty bare bones.
If you took the sex out of this book, you would have a short story.
I can't recommend it for thriller fans, but romance fans that like a hint of S + M might enjoy it

I love anything Rebecca Zanetti. With this in mind I never bother reading reviews on Goodreads. Imagine my surprise when I connected the dots on characters. Which lead to "Sins Brothers novel" and "Blood Brothers novel" title dot connecting. *smacks head* duuuuh!
I go back and read some reviews and sure enough it's a spin off of Sins Brothers. Near the end was full of surprises and lots of cheers!
As all things Rebecca Zanetti goes this book is full of action, romance and suspense. I loved it! Zanetti has a great gift of storytelling. She easily pulls me in and keeps me entertained. A nice flow that makes it quick read. Probably because I had a hard time putting it down.

This was an enjoyable romantic suspense novel.
Though I never warned to Zara, I loved Ryker and his brothers. This is the first book in a series, so I'm hoping to get to know the brothers more in further books (hint, hint).
The romance and suspense meld together well. Some of what happens is a little old-school plot-wise (lots of 1980's horror novels featured variations on this - this is not horror, but the plot is similar). You should note that the romance is of the explicit variety with parts being inserted in other parts with frenzied abandon. But there's also a bit of sweetness to it.
All in all, a good fast read that kept my interest.

Things that attracted my attention to this book, in order: the (print) cover, the synopsis but mostly past readings of Rebecca Zanetti books.
This book had a lot occurring throughout the story, as with most introductory books. I adored Ryker and his complete devotion to those he allows into his life. His character is strong, almost impenetrable. Zara is a complex character - she is all heart.
I recommend this romantic suspense, with it's subtle hints of paranormal, to any/all romantic readers. Can't wait for Heath (Lethal Lies) and Denver's (Twisted Truths) stories.

Wow! Fabulous start to a series. Love this author so much. Made me want to go back and read the Sin Brothers again. I would recommend reading that series first. I had read it, but I still had a bit of difficulty grasping on to the action in the beginning. Liked all the "brothers" and looking forward to watching them take the good Dr Madison down!
Ryker and Zara are friends with benefits until feelings start to get involved. Ryker turns uber alpha male to protect her. Zara likes that A LOT!!
Great set up to a new twist on the genetically altered soldiers we met in Sin Brothers. Can't wait to read more of the story!

Wow...just wow! This author has taken the storyline we all enjoyed in the Sins series and taken it into a whole new level. The Jones brothers tug your heartstrings and make you want to know all their secrets and pain. I really loved Ryker and Zara, Zara was a tougher female lead than I figured she would be and I was thrilled with her. There was so much I loved about this story but I don't want to spoil any of it for you but I will say...we see our Dean Bros, yay!! This is a must read for anyone who loved the Dean Bros and if you haven't read it yet, go get the back story, it's not necessary but it adds to it all in a great way.

Good story and well-written but the relationship between the male and female lead makes me uncomfortable. I don't like males who supposedly know what women want sexually to the extent that the woman says no and the male continues anyway. There is one scene where he asks, "Do you mean it or are you playing?" but only one. Threats of physical punishment, spankings with belts, etc. just are a turn-off for me. Some readers will really enjoy this, and they are lucky because Zanetti writes so well and her characters are so interesting.. But for me, I'm going to have to give up reading her books.

This is a new set of brothers from her other series. Ryker and his brothers are running from their past when they meet someone who can help them figure out who their parents are. The commander is dead but the Dr. is still going strong and trying to locate her experiments as she calls them. They are trying to find a serial killer and not be caught for someone from their youth. In comes the Gray brothers to explain even more of the holes in their lives. Loved the Gray brothers and I think bringing them back into this new series is a perfect match. Can't wait for book 2.

More Rebecca Zanetti mystery. I let this one wait too long in my TBR library. I've missed these guys and the whacko Dr Madison!
Deadly Silence did not disappoint. Mystery, romance, alpha men ??? (whole lot of alpha men), strong heroine, danger, loyalty and honor. A granny, a kid and some guns and knives add to the flavor of the story.
Ryker and Zara are great characters. Great story line! I can't wait for Heath and Denver's stories. I'm going to meet Heath in Lethal Lies right now.

I loved Rebecca Zanetti's Sin Brothers series so I was excited to see that she was publishing a new romantic suspense series. Then I started reading and realized it's actually a spinoff of the Sin Brothers and I was hooked! While different than the original series, Ryker and his "brothers" have a lot of similarities and a few common enemies. This was a highly suspenseful romance that featured not only Ryker and his brothers but also a few surprises from former books. Can't wait to get a hold of the next book in the series!
ARC received in exchange for an honest review.

I love mysteries. I would have liked this a lot better if there had been more of the serial killer and a lot less of his throbbing member and her hands around his shaft and him lowering her inch by inch. Soft pain, so much, way too much.
There are really only so many words for penis. I am pretty sure Zanetti used them all.
(Oh, yes, and woman wants to be dominated and whatever. Just a bit over the top.)

Fantastic! Deadly Silence by Rebecca Zanetti will captivate. A strong heroine with endearing traits will allow readers to connect with the character as the story and romance unfold. Zanetti adds exciting paranormal elements to this fast paced romantic suspense. The story develops nicely introducing the unique heroes that will set the tone for the rest of the series. Deadly Silence delivers a delicious romance surrounded in mystery. Ryker and his brothers are sure to melt a heart or two with their personal stories. I can't wait for the next book in the series.

This is my first book by Rebecca. Deadly Silence was an absolutely amazing story. I loved every minute of it and couldn't put it down. I haven't read a book with this much suspense in a very long time, I can usually figure things out right away but with this one it took until the very end for me to get things. I love a book that can keep me intrigued the whole time and this one definitely will. I loved the romance between Ryker and Zara. This book will go in my top 5 for the year and I can not wait for the next one to come out.

I found this book to be very grim, violent in places, and I was left with a feeling of hopelessness. Maybe I'm naive but I prefer my entertainment to be more uplifting. I got confused about past and present as well.

This book is fast paced and fun! I liken it to a beach read - exciting yet easy to pick up and put down as necessary. The characters are interesting and multidimensional. When you think the story will go one way, it goes the other way! I didn't like the overuse of the word "rioting" but beyond that the writing is pretty on point. A great crime/romance thriller. I'll continue on with the series when the next book comes out!

A spin off from her other series, though you don't need to have read that other series to really get into this book
A great, tasty alpha hero
Some solid action that kept me turning the pages
Liked the heroine, who could really bring it when she needed to
The hero was great...and yet he kind of annoyed me at times. Man did grow on me, though (and can we please get the story of his little brother next?!?)

Another amazing series for me to look forward to. This is the first book that I've read of Rebecca Zanettis and I'm very impressed. This book had me on the edge of my seat wondering what was going to happen next. So much suspense and just the right amount of sexiness. I can't wait to read the next in this series!!!

I was completely blown away. This was my first time delving into Rebecca Zanetti's writing. I completely enjoyed this book. It had good world building, a ton of action and suspense, and a loving/hot relationship between the hero and heroine. I was jealous, tuned in, rooting for and excited for the next page. I am now looking for the previous books that connect this new series.

4.5 "The Lost Boys" Stars and 5 Stars for the narration!
What an intriguing start to a new romantic suspense series! I'm hooked and can't wait to hear the story, including the romantic HEA for each and every one of these Lost Boys. Moreover, Karen White's talented narration makes this a must listen!
Source; Library--loan.

This felt flat to me. These guys are genetically enhanced.....so therefore stronger, better and more. The H kept promising to keep the h safe but fails to do so on a couple of occasions. He's supposed to have above average hearing and senses but yet gets snuck up on at least twice. A lot of unanswered questions. Totally predictable....not one of her good ones.

I was hoping for a good alpha male book. Started off good, however it got boring and three-quarters of the way through I couldn't careless who the serial killer is, who killed Zara's friend and what was really going on. I also found the sex scenes to be identical to each other.

Yummy, hot alpha males Ryker, Heath, Denver can make any woman light headed. Each
one of these great characters have different abilities. Ok they are tracking down serial
killer, took on a case of a nasty divorce, and many other twists and turns. An awesome
book and I highly recommend the series as the books come out.

I have to say I liked this book enough to go looking for more of Ms. Zanetti's books. The characters were well developed and kept the story moving forward. The setting was well described and the story line moved right along. This author is on the edge of being a keeper if the ones I ordered are as good as this one.

I love, love, love this series and this author. Technically, it's book one of a spin-off series, but heh. Do read the first series (Sin Brothers) before starting this one, it will enrich the enjoyment of this book/series. I can't wait for the next book - logically, I'm going to *have* to, but still....

As much as I hate to give a two-star rating, this book with so much promise left me no choice. From all the five-star ratings, though, I don't think my two little stars will do much to bring down the overall rating. But I wish the author had fleshed out the true story and backed down on the cliched chest-thumping, I-have-to-protect-everyone trope. Because of it, it took me days to finish what should have been a several hours' read.

This is one of my guilty pleasures, military/special operators romances with a touch of suspense. This book delivered on all points. It was thrilling. It was spicy. It fit in and continued the series it was an offshoot of. I got to see old favorite characters. I enjoyed each and every moment I spent reading.

I am not sure what the point of writing this book was. I know, it was dor the author to make money off the pain of my sister alberta Kosser and the pain of my nephew Jim Pierson JR. The book is shally, infringes on my family's privacy. This same media ignores the sexual exploits of people in the dmeocrat party and liberals who harass women in the mainstream media. I am not sure why the story of friends and loved ones and the pain inflicted on them would be enjoyable for anyone to read. The book is shallow and off base in so many ways
Please RateDeadly Silence: Blood Brothers Book 1
Ryker Jones has questions about his past, but knows he can only ask so many questions before the people he is trying to avoid find him. He and his brothers are intelligent, strong, and highly trained. Trailing a serial killer while also search for clues to their pasts means Ryker hasn’t settled down in one place for long. But in his travels and work in Cisco, WY, he has a a casual arrangement that has turned not so casual.
Zara Remington, paralegal, is in over her head at work and with Ryker. Though they started casual, things have changed despite her best efforts. She finds herself cooking meals when she knows he’ll be around and keeping his favorite beer on hand. She isn’t willing to admit things have changed, but Ryker can be pretty persuasive when he sets his mind to something. In a sticky situation at work, she is caught between needing her job and loyalty to a friend, and it seems that her choices have put her in danger.
Ryker isn’t sure what angle Zara’s threat is coming from. She says she’s fine, but the bruise on her cheek says otherwise. Then unexplained things start happening, and he doesn’t know if the danger is from her secrets, or his. I loved watching his protectiveness ramp up as he realized he didn’t want to leave Zara behind, nor did he want to see her threatened in any way.
Zara is a great match for Ryker, both challenging him and taking care of him in a way he had never experienced before. As the brothers circle around Zara, she takes each one in as well, becoming almost a sister to Ryker’s brothers. The care she showed each man gave them a glimpse of what Ryker was willing to fight for.
This book was filled with suspense and action. I loved watching how this story begin to weave into the Sin Brothers, feeling separate from the original but also connected. Once the story hit the point where the two series collide, I couldn’t put this one down and had to know the outcome. There were just so many surprises, it kept me reading and wondering long past when I should have stopped.
I look forward to Denver and Heath’s stories as well as finding where the series plot arch will take these brothers.
