Creative and interactive, This book captures the heart and thoughts of a child. It makes for a great read aloud. There are lots of small letters and slips of paper slipped inside this book so, do not turn your children or student's loose with this book alone. 1st through 3rd grades would really love it.

This book was used during my Community Workers thematic unit in my Pre-K class. It also allowed the children to make connections with fairy tales and to ask some critical thinking questions when prompted. The interactive letters and other postal manipulatives were a great addition and surprise. I did not expect the quality of the book. I recommen this book for all ages.

Creatively done and interactive pages. This is a sweet story that centers around Christmas from a child's perspective. It is a great story to read to your children or class. Lots of small cards and letters inside so I would not turn children loose with this book. Great read aloud story.

This book is absolutely adorable. I love the interactive-ness of it with the pull out letters in the pockets. I bought for a child who has a Dad who is a mailman, I can't wait until he is old enough to enjoy it.

An excellent little story book about a postman who delivers letters to several classic fairy tail characters. What makes it so special is that every other page is an envelope pocket with real letters inside. It is a wonderful little book to read to teach about the postman and what comes in the mail.

I had this book & the original jolly postman when I was a youngin' and I HAD to buy it for my little one. I can remember spending hours just reading and re-reading the little letters. Such a great idea.

This book is packed full of funness. I would highly recommend as a gift for a child old enough to take care of all the little letters, game and puzzle that are included in the various letters that are delivered. It's a book full of activities.

While purchasing the Melissa and Doug Stack 'n Sort Mailbox, the store suggested this book to me. I had completely forgot about it from my childhood, and was so happy to see it again. I bought this book and the Jolly Christmas Postman to include with the mailbox for a whole theme gift. The book is a little bigger than my copy from the 90's, which in my opinion is an improvement. (My old copy was pretty tiny)I think the bigger print and paper size will be easier for little hands to manipulate... there are lots of envelopes of treasures to explore!

These books are amazing! Buy one or buy them all! They are so much fun to read to kids. So many fun interactive letters, etc. to read from people like the Three Bears, Jack and the Beanstalk, etc. Love them!!!

My students LOVED this book, and it is constantly being read. The little letters tucked inside envelopes in the book are highly engaging, even for my boys who would ordinarily eschew fairy tale stories.
