NOTE: This review is for the ebook version.

This is a classic and I couldn't resist being able to have it to re-read, share, and reminisce about. But I was disappointed in this ebook version for a couple reasons. First, the layout is two-page only, so you have to hold your ereader (Kindle, Android tablet, etc.) lengthwise to be able to read it. I know some pages don't make perfect sense otherwise, but I just don't like being told how to read a book. And second, this version is different from the paperback. I memorized this book because my daughter loved it so much, and there were definitely things missing and different in this version. Not that the ebook isn't still fun to read, but it's not the same. I was disappointed. For the price it is still great, but if you know and love the original, this will leave you wanting.

I always enjoy Dr. Seuss unusual names and characters. This one is one of my favorites as I look for a Zeller and other characters with my grand daughters in their home. They laugh at the thought their might be one of them in the closet or behind the curtain. Instead of being frightened of something scary being there.

I was a little disappointed when this book arrived. I didn't realize that it was a small book with hard pages, make for toddlers I guess. I bought it for my son, who was 6 at the time, but ended up giving it to my 2-year-old daughter. They both like the silly made-up words.

I was expecting the full version of the book, but it was sadly not. It is the cardboard toddler version. The good thing is my kid can't really destroy it, so it will be her copy. I feel like I still must buy the full version, because I enjoyed having this book read to me as a kid. It is a fun silly Dr. Seuss book that is guaranteed to cause giggling (most are). If it was the full version I would have given it 5 stars.
