The beginner books by Robert Lopshire are not "twaddle." They (New Tricks I Can Do and I Want to Be Somebody New) are wonderful for primer and level 1 readers. The kids fall in love with the stories and want to read them over and over!

My Title I kids THANK YOU for a used book in excellent condition!

I love Dr. Duess books! I started collecting them for my kids in what seems like forever. I have a collection that are now being read to my three grand daughters, and I hope they carry down to theirs.

The illustrations are super small on my kindle fire and take up only 5% of screen. There is no real way to zoom either. The story is good and flows like poetry. Disappointing the port to e-book didn't have bigger illustrations.

I am very disappointed on how small the pages appear on my tablet. I purchased this book specifically for the tablet because it is one of my grandson's favorite books. The pages display so small even they cannot enjoy it. We never open it.

This book is such a fantastic book! Its the story of a leopard who changes his spots. Essentially, the main character, the leopard, wants to be put in the zoo, so he keeps saying "See what I can do? Put me in the zoo!" as he changes the color of his spots. Finally, the leopard realizes the circus is a better place for him. Its a wonderful story with an approachable, relatable character that works great for the pre-k/kindergarten range children.

As a speech-path, I really like using this book in therapy. It introduces color vocabulary in a fun story with lovely illustrations. I like using this book to target both color vocabulary and s-clusters because of the word "spot". I can't quite remember (its been a couple months now since I used it), but I think it also has some great rhyming, so you can work on phonological awareness as well. PLUS, the book provides a great platform to talk about what animals belong in the zoo, and, which animals don't and why.
