This is the best book in the series, hands down. Violet Darger got herself in some serious trouble, and Loshak had enough trouble on his own this time!
Best quote: "All that love and freedom and idealism turned into horror. Riots.. Assassinations. Drug overdoses. Mass suicide in Jonestown. We had sensed that the materialistic 1950's world we'd received had been empty and we rejected it, but we still had nothing to put in its plays. No meaning. Just more emptiness. New kinds of emptiness. All that free love got aborted. The hippies grew up and divorced."
The story flowed together so well, and we got to see the sheer strength and willpower Violet Darger really has. The hunt for Leonard Stump CONTINUES! Yep. Best book of theirs to date. Can't wait for the next one!

The third installment for the Darger Loshak series is a good one. Mind numbing suspense. A real pager turner. I highly recommend this very suspenseful novel and pretty much anything else by this dynamic author team. Great read!

This is the third book in the Darger/Loshak series and it was fantastic. I don't think I took a breath for the last 20% of the book. This book does pick up right where the last one left off so i would recommend reading these in the correct order. There is a lot of good back and forth between Darger and Loshak, which is my favorite parts of them as partners. I highly recommend.

Third of the series I have read each one better . Violet is a brave resourceful agent dedicated to stopping serial killers . Highly recommend this series . Better editing than several Kindle books I have read . I hope Violet can recuperate from her severe injuries and is able to get back in action soon .

The next book in the Violet Darger series was not a disappointment. It picks up the story once again so I would recommend reading the series in order. Once you start reading they are hard to put down. Very strong characters and non stop suspense. These novels will hold your interest from beginning to end as does any book by the authors.

This is book three of the Violet Darger series and hopefully not the last. Trouble finds Violet at every turn. She goes to Las Vegas to meet her partner to try and find a serial killer who everyone thought was dead. Wrong, he is alive and killing.

I enjoyed this book. Spoiler alert: There were some parts of the book I had difficulty reading due to claustrophobia, but lets not let that keep you from reading the book. It was a quick read, and led to an enjoyable afternoon relaxing with a book.

What another great read by Tim and Lex. They really have a knack for putting a great story together. The characters are wonderful, sensitive, dedicated and a touch of humor. The mystery is good and the series continues. Thank you for that.

Once again another wonderful trip into the world of psychopaths! I love the characters and how they pay off of each other. Great dialogue and lots of "holy moly" moments! Thanks for another trip into Loshak and Violet's world.

Another good thriller. Too bad the author's incessant need to tell us every stinking thought and feeling the characters experience runs rampant like the first 2 books did. Who cares if someone preferred the pink crayon in kindergarten. Other than that, it's filled with many thrilling moments, has a good story-line, and works. MESSAGE TO AUTHOR: Ask yourself if your latest diatribe adds to the story, or make us readers start flipping pages to bypass all the nonsrnse.

If you enjoy mystery and thriller this is great. I enjoy these two authors. Just when you think you can breathe again something else happens. At times discreptions become too muCh that's why I have 4 instead of 5 stars. Waiting for the next Dogder book.

This was the third in the Violet Darger series and it had me on the edge of my seat throughout. The writing skillfully puts you in the scenarios so well that I could almost feel the panic and fear the kidnapped victims were experiencing. Some of the situations were so terrifying that it was almost hard to read, but I couldn’t put this book down wanting to see what would happen next! The dialogue and interaction between FBI Profiler Darger and her partner/mentor Loshak are so compelling and I love the way their relationship has progressed in the series. Looking forward to the next installment!

Well, i might have if i was reading and driving...my children thought something was wrong with the amount of "OH NO"s, gasps and forhead slaps going on while i was reading this one. I just could not believe the situations our beloved Violet and Loshak got into this time around. I was in tears by the time i got through the epilogue and i can't believe the final outcome...whaaaattt!
If your new to Tim and L.T, welcome to the club. Every story i've read written by this dynamic duo has caused some sort of reaction and emotional response. This is part of a series, but be read by itself. If you want to know more Violet and Loshak, the series is also Ah-mazing!

This latest Violet Darger story takes the reader on the hunt for Leonard Stump. Vargus & McBain have filled this story with nonstop action, lots of insight into the various characters and Stump’s motivations for his killings. They were able to elicit a number of emotions on my part as I was reading this book from suspense, relief and outright anger.
While having read the previous Violet Darger stories provided a good backstory in Darger and Loshak’s relationship, this book stands on its own and would be an excellent introduction to Vargus & McBain’s Violet Darger stories. One note of caution, this is one of those books that grabs you from the start and is incredibly hard to put down once you start reading.
I received an Advance Reader Copy and chose to provide this review.

I just thought Dead End Girl was my favorite Violet Darger book but this one takes the cake. Had me gripped from the start and I swear there were a few times I was holding my breath. A real fast paced thrill ride. I highly recommend this book to anyone who likes thrillers.
