Who can write comedy like it is nobody's business, Tara Sivec that's who... I have loved everything this woman has written and have yet to be disappointed, she can write mystery, she can write emotional but it is her comedic style of writing that has me coming back every time she says she has a new book coming out. I can clearly state she is and will always be my go to author, no matter what situation she has a one liner to go with it, and that is why I love her so!!!

This was a definite Tara Sivec book, with all her fun and quirky characters!! I enjoyed getting to know more about Paige and her past. Matt was yummy and perfect for her!! Can't wait to read about Lorelei!!

I normally love Ms. Sivek's books but this series borrows too much from Janet Evanovich's Stephanie Plum series. Case in point: cranky mother (grandmother in the SP series) with a gun going around shooting people. I just felt like it tried too hard to be funny. I did like the storyline - just not the execution of it.

Was disappointed by this shameless ripoff of the excellent Stephanie Plum series. Gave it up entirely about halfway through as the ridiculous implausibility just kept building and building. Sure, it's a work of fiction, and sure, other writers stretch our capacity for belief, but really? Your stay at home mom turned PI is going to leave a cat in the laundry room for days on end without food, water or worrying about the mess it's making? She's also going to have multiple people just instantly dump serious PI cases on her in the first week, when she doesn't have a license or the first clue of what she's doing? Someone blows up the family car and the family is not the least bit traumatized? And the police aren't asking serious questions? Final straw was when she said someone almost rammed her back bumper, but the back bumper had been ripped off the car days before and she'd left it leaning against the front of the house. Meanwhile, the dialog is flat, the descriptions are lackluster, the characters are cheap caricatures and the whole thing is just not funny or clever enough to make up for it. If I could give it half a star, I would. Sometimes I wonder how these things get published.
