I'm thinking I might like the next generation even better than the first. Noah in this book is all grown up living the life of a professional footballer with his model girlfriend. Life is moving along when a devastating accident happens to his best friend Peyton. This book was quite the emotional journey following Peyton's accident and how the whole family deals with it. We still get lots of time to read about Liam, Harrison, Jimmy, Xander, Nick, Josie, Katelyn, Jenna, Yvie and Aubrey along with the rest of the kids. Great start to this next series, cannot wait for the next book to come out!

I was happy to learn McLaughlin was continuing The Beaumont Series with the kids all grown up. Noah and Peyton grew up together but McLaughlin did a great job making what they feel for each other not taboo. She was clear from the beginning they never felt familial love for each other. I also liked the moments that featured Mason. They were heartwarming and made me teary-eyed.
But I thought the hospital scene lasted wayyyyy too long. And then I was disappointed in Noah through his dilemma. He didn't take control of his situation. He just let things happen to him. I thought he was weak, it was a turnoff. But I'm still intrigued enough to continue the series.

I have been waiting for this story for what seems like forever, ever since I was introduced to the characters in the Beaumont Series. Noah and Peyton to me have always belonged together. The emotions felt in this book are all across the board....sad, happy, fearful, disbelief, cheerful. And make you want to smack a character, shake another and hug some too. This book is everything you would want and more! Heidi McLaughlin definitely delivers in this book, but then again she ALWAYS does. So good! I would recommend reading the whole Beaumont series because it is so good but I do believe that you could read this as a standalone.

Since I first read the Beaumont series four years ago, I desperately wanted Peyton and Noah’s story to be told. I can honestly say, this is hands down my favorite book of Heidi’s, and one of her best works to date. I can’t even put into words just how phenomenal this story was. Holding Onto Forever is one of my top reads this year, and I can’t wait for who’s love story we get next.

Heidi McLaughlin brings us the next generation of The Beaumont Series. This can definitely be read as a standalone and Heidi does a nice job of explaining the different relationships in the story.
Noah Westbury and Peyton Powell-James come from famous families. Not only are their parents famous, but they grew up together as extended family. Noah and Peyton have a tight bond and consider themselves “best friends” even though there is a five year age gap. They share their love of many things including football. Noah is the starting quarterback for the Portland Pioneers while Peyton is at college in Chicago studying sports journalism. It seems that their families are spread all across the country…..
"When we’re together, we’re inseparable, a tight-knit group and right now we’re spread all over the place."
A life changing event occurs, bringing everyone together. I don’t want to spoil the story but I must say I was on the edge of my seat! By chapter eleven my heart was ripped out! There is so much emotion going on all around. Fear, hope, love, loss and uncertainty are just a few.
The buildup was slow. Lives are changed. There was so much angst! The story peaks and more drama ensues. My only complaint is that I felt that Noah was too undecided. He struggled with his decision making. He had so much on his plate and so much on the line, but he had strong family back up. I thought that his famous parents would have spoken up more to help guide him with his choices.
I was very happy with the ending! And of course there are many other stories to tell. I am thinking that Peyton’s twin sister Elle’s story may be next!
"We’re sisters. We share. Except when we don’t. Any and everything I feel about Noah is off limits. As far as Elle and the rest of my family is concerned, Noah’s my best friend. To me, he’s the man I’m desperately in love with."
I need a drink! Well done!

Peyton Powell-James has been in love with Noah Westbury since she can remember. But she knows he'll never look at her that way.
Noah Westbury has been in love with Peyton Powell-James for years. But their age difference and their parents' reaction kept him from following his feelings.
When tragedy knocks on their lives, will Peyton and Noah finally reveal how they feel?
Holding Onto Forever took me in an incredible ride of emotions and I loved every second! Peyton and Noah's story is beautiful and touching, with the right amount of drama, laughter, mystery, suspense, angst, and sexy scenes.
I loved the little flashbacks showing how connected Peyton and Noah were.
Peyton Powell-James is a sassy young woman. She loves football and dreams of having a successful sports journalism career. She loves her family and friends, and she's in love with Noah Westbury, her best friend. But she believes that they will never be together. One assignment changes Peyton life and now she has to fight not only for Noah but for herself. I loved how strong she was while dealing with everything going on.
Noah Westbury is the starting QB for Portland Pioneers and his career is on the rise. He has a loving family and friends, and a model girlfriend that loves him. But he always had feelings for Peyton, his best friend. When he finally gives in to his feelings for Peyton, life throws him a curveball and he has a tough decision to make. He is very sweet and kind and I loved how he dropped everything for Peyton.
Heidi McLaughlin did an amazing job with Holding Onto Forever! Peyton and Noah's story is the perfect start for The Beaumont Series: Next Generation. The story is incredible and hooks the reader from the first page and its awesome characters will make you cry and laugh with them. I can't wait to read Elle and Ben's story!

Holding Onto Forever by Heidi McLaughlin is the first book in The Beaumont Series: The Next Generation. This series is a spin-off from the Beaumont Series.
Holding Onto Forever picks up where the previous book, Forever Our Boys, the last book in The Beaumont Series ends.
This is Noah and Peyton's story.
Noah Westbury and Peyton Powell-James are friends since childhood. Her families are friends and they grew up like siblings.
The kids are grown up now and go on their own ways.
Noah had his dream ccome true, he's a starting Quarterback with the NFL now.
Peyton, sister of Elle, is at college and majors in sports journalism.
But then their worlds got turned upside down.
Peyton was in a horrible accident. A car crash that nearly took her life. Her family is gathered to say good bye to her. They're all devastated.
But fate and karma giving a second chance. Slowly and painful she recovers and puts her life back together. The only question is, will Noah be in her life, or will he choose another woman.
He loves Peyton but makes bad decisions.
The last book, Forever Our Boys ended in a cliihanger and I really couldn't wait to get my hands on Holding Onto Forever. I had to know what happened to the characters. When the book landed on my kindle, I immediatedly started reading. I was hooked from page one, I couldn't put it down.
I'm so in love with the Beaumont Series. I love the characters so much, I love how they struggle, how they fight for each other and how they love.
This story has it all—tension, angst, suspense and heartbreak. I've smiled, laughed, cried and was angry at some point. It is not often I feel so connected to the characters, but Heidi McLaughlin has accomplished just that. I love the story, the characters and the words.
I recommend the book and the series and wish I could give more than 5 stars.
Thank you, Heidi McLaughlin !

Peyton is completing her last year in college towards her journalism degree when she is offered an opportunity that could seal her future. Her life is going exactly the way she wants it until the night where tragedy struck and everything changed.
Noah is a professional quarterback with all the perks that go with it including his beautiful girlfriend until he receives a phone call letting him know that his best friend Peyton needs him and he doesn’t have to think twice before going to her side.
They have loved each other for years but because their parents are best friends rather than pursuing that relationship they remain as best friends. They have dated others however the connection between them is deeper than any other relationship they have ever had. The outcome of this night changes everything and it forces them to re-evaluate their relationship and what they mean to each other but will they decide to take the chance and see what they might have together or will they choose to not destroy their existing relationship?
This is an amazing read! The characters reach out and grab you and you feel that you are living the experience with them. The connection and chemistry between them is intense and the emotions this book raises will stay with you long after it ends. I can’t wait for the next book in the series. I voluntarily reviewed an Advance Reader Copy of this book.

Peyton and Noah got the justice they deserved for a GREAT book. Heidi gave us everything and more we asked for with this love story. Peyton as usual since we first met her could not just have a romantic love that blossomed but a tragic heart wrenching love that kept you on the edge until the climax was there.
This story was very unique. It was a great way to tell the story of Peyton and Noah, giving us the past, giving us their history that was not seen in the previous books. Heidi gave us their hearts. She gave us their secrets. She made me cry. She made me mad. She made me root for the underdog that is Peyton Powell-James.
Noah didn't have a fighting chance with Peyton, since birth she has been there, since a young age by his side, teenage years brought jealously and hardships and then their twenties brought a reality that they were growing up. He watched her from afar, giving her the space to grow, giving her time. But was it too much time? Heidi you killed me but I love you for it.

So first off I want to say this is definitely one of my favourite books of 2017. It's beautifully written and I can't tell you how long I have wished for Noah and Peyton's story to be told and this book was amazing. It had all the feels we have come to expect from anything Heidi Mclaughlin writes and I would definitely recommend you have tissues to hand before you start reading.
Noah and Payton have had a special connection since they were kids. As they have gotten older their feelings for each other have only grown, but with a five year age gap and the closeness of their families they have never really acted on their feelings. When Payton is involved in an accident Noah knows he needs to let Payton know how he really feels hoping she feels the same before its too late.
This is definitely a must read for all Beaumont fans out there, and I can't wait to see who gets their own story next!

Omggggg Holding Onto Forever was amazing! She had me in tears within the first few chapters. I love all of Heidi's books, but Holding Onto Forever is my new favorite.
Noah and Peyton had a special connection from the moment they met as kids, and to be able to read their story as adults was one hell of a read. The angst, the drama from the moment I started reading had me hooked and could not put the book down.
I loved everything about this book, the love, the heartache and especially Noah. And of course I loved Peyton and the strength of her character, because let me tell you there were a few times I wanted to smack Noah upside his head to wake him up.
The Beaumont series had been one of my favorite series, but Holding Onto Forever just took over, please tell Liam lol.
Loved this book, loved how from the very beginning Heidi had me in tears.
Holding Onto Forever is my favorite read of 2017. I seriously cannot say enough how much I loved this book!

Well, anyone who knows me, knows that I absolutely LOVE The Beaumont Series...and this first book of the spin-off was nothing short of AMAZING! I was so happy to have Liam, Jimmy, the wives, the kids, and especially HARRISON back in my life. I've missed them so much!
Where do I begin with this story? Noah...sigh. I loved Noah as a kid. Loved. Him. Noah is all grown up and ALL MAN now. Pure perfection. His words broke my heart and put it back together again. Peyton reminded me so much of myself as a kid - so sports-minded - and I found myself relating to her more than the others. She also broke my heart in so many different ways. The first half of the book - I SOBBED. I couldn't stop crying. Heartbreaking tears, just hearing what all the characters had to say to Peyton. I highlighted so many quotes, I can't even count!
All in all...BRAVO, HEIDI!!! You brought the Beaumont crew back into my life in the most perfect way. I am SO looking forward to the next book.

This book put me on an emotional rollercoaster like no other! I love when books do that.
The first half of the book I was a sobbing, snot faced mess and that is putting it mildly. These are my Beaumont friends and they were hurting, losing one of their own. My heart was breaking with theirs.
Then a turning point and the author throws a curveball and amps up the angst. I was mad, I was sad and could not believe what was happening. I have to tell you I saw so much of that young lost boy Liam in Noah for this part.
Oh then thank goodness truths were revealed and I could breathe! I spent the rest of the book laughing and smiling because all was right in my Beaumont family.
Then finally I ended the book in tears AGAIN! Happy ones this time.
Heidi has seriously outdone herself with this one. I have loved every book in the Beaumont series but Peyton and Noahs tops them all! I hope we see more of the kids stories.

Such a beautiful story!! This book had me crying, smiling and at times wanting to scream. I have loved Noah and Peyton since we first met them, you could see that they had a special bond even when they were little. Noah summed it all up with this speech--
“Captain, you have been my best friend since forever. We may have been brought together by our mothers and forced to hang out, but secretly I have loved every single minute of it. It never bothered me that you were younger; it only bothered me when you weren’t around. You’ve shown me what determination looks like, how to persevere through whatever life throws at you, and how true love feels. Without you, I’m a shell of the man I need to be. With you though, I’m confident, self-assured and the man I want to be. With that, I want to tell you that I love you and I’m going to hold onto you forever.”
Highly recommend this book!! Cant wait for the next one!!!

Noah and Peyton have always been best friends from childhood, and their parents are best friends, so there is a long history between them, as well as sharing a passion for football. Peyton has always wanted to be a journalist, and when she is handed her dream assignment, little did she know that tragedy would strike. Noah is a sweet guy and when he finds out that Peyton needs him, he immediately rushes to her side; despite his bitchy girlfriend and her demands. No spoilers though; this is a must read, you will not be disappointed!
This extremely talented author has once again written a phenomenal and emotionally charged story, which is a powerful read, as well as heartbreaking.
I was hooked and captivated throughout, and this is a brilliant start to a new series, and I cannot wait to read the next book in this awesome series!

5 Crazy Ass Must Read Stars!!!!!
Heart-wrenching doesn't even come close to describing this story. Gah, it's been almost a week since I read this and I still can't get the ache out of my chest. Intense, angsty, heart breaking, frustrating, oh so friggin' frustrating and more. Ugh, I'm getting all worked up again over Noah. If ever there was a character that I would like to reach into my kindle and shake the ever-loving crap out out of, it would be him. He was so clueless and his actions were just so damn infuriating. UGH! Okay, I'm saying to much. I just love when a book/character can get me so worked up. It just goes to show how easily it was to connect with the story/characters.
I love the Beaumont series and loved catching up with that crew and seeing what happens with the "next generation". I can't wait to read more of this series.
