love love love this book! Hat off to the author, who is one of my favorites, for such a good story about the last Landry sibling and turning it into a new series. Sierra and Walker are so good together, even though he fights his attraction to her and it isn't until later that the story unfolds and answer is given. Love Walker's brothers, cousin Peck and his grandma Nana. All of them are part of what makes this such a good book. The dialogue, the small town, loyalty to each other all add as well to this story of Sierra finding herself. She always felt like she didn't belong into her family of socialites and money. She was the family rebel trying to make a difference in her own way. She loves her family but now she is discovering a new one and a new way of life but.....in the end will it work for her. I highly recommend this book and all the others written by this author.

Walker and Sienna were interesting and I liked them as a couple. I thought their initial meeting was amusing and different, which is difficult in a romance.

I liked the relationship of the central characters as well as that of the other characters in the story. This is a new series, but it is also interconnected, which appealed to me. Series titles, even loosely connected ones like these are, can start to get a little stale as they take place in the same "world" and I like the idea of moving the character to another world to tell Sienna's story.

There are references to characters in the Landry family, but you do not need to have read all of the books, or even some of them, to pick up in this story and there are no major spoilers about the books that feature the other characters.

There were some places where the timeline seemed to skip a bit and not quite work and there were events that seemed like it took a few weeks, but just took a few days in book. I have read other titles by this author and find that this is the case as well, and this is my biggest criticism of this author.

Overall, I enjoyed the story, and I liked the setup for the new Gibson boys series and the way it jumped off from the Landry stories with Sienna but is still going to be able to move to a new story, with new characters, in a new world.

I recommend this overall.

With the huge amount of glowing reviews CRANK gets on the store and Goodreads, I had high hopes for this one. Sadly, I’m clearly in the minority because no matter how hard I tried, I could not get into this book. It took me three days to finish and, even though I only finished reading the day before writing this review, I cannot remember anything at all about the characters or the story. All I remember is how I felt reading it, which was a combination of frustration and boredom.

Referring to the very few notes I took, I wasn’t a fan of how rudely Walker treated Sienna simply because he was attracted to her when he didn’t want to be. I also wasn’t a fan of how almost all the men in this story talked about and treated women, with the worst being when one of Walker’s brothers talks about having a girl after his brother is done with her. If they were supposed to come off as humorous playboys, they missed the mark with me. I can’t say anything about Sienna because I didn’t take any notes about her at all.

I really wanted to like this book; the cover is cute and the blurb sounds really good, but this story did nothing for me. In the three years I’ve been reviewing, I’ve only given eleven books a 1❤️ review, but CRANK becomes my third this month alone. This has me wondering if maybe it’s really a case of “It’s not you, it’s me.” I’ll let you be the judge.

Trivial. Something that wraps up with a few discussions. Or should have. The response by the h was so over the top dramatic, it hurt my rolling eyes. The references about wanting something but not wanting it in the same sentence stated a million different ways was tiring. I didn't hate most of the characters and while I don't remember if the bk made me laugh or I thought of something funny while reading, but I distinctly remember a laugh I had. So I gave it 2 stars.

Crank is the first book in the Gibson Boys series. If you read Adriana’s Landry’s series then you have already met Miss Sienna Landry. I love that Adriana has crossed her over to a new series! She loves her family but she doesn’t fit the mold like her other siblings. She enjoys her freedom outside of politics, social events, and the family businesses. She is not a wild child but she wants something different for herself. And that is what brought her to Linton, Illinois a year ago. To run a designing business with her best friend Delaney. She didn’t know how much the move would change her life...

It all started with an accident that brought out the Gibson Boys. They were strangers to Sienna and Delaney but something was different when Sienna locked eyes with the owner of the truck she just hit. He was not the type of man that she would have dated back in Savannah. But even with his scowl and cranky-a- attitude he made her feel hot all over. Nervous even. Something she never was even in the rooms of politicians and celebrities. After everything is said and done the next morning she realizes she has to see him again in a few days. At his auto repair shop. She can’t stop thinking about him and after seeing him again she still can’t read this man. This sexy as sin man who smells like grease and heartbreak. She was going to just walk away but something was telling her that he was different. That if she walked away that she would regret it.

Walker knew he shouldn’t have listened to his dumba- cousin Peck. Now, he has to see Sienna more than he should. He was already thinking about her too much. He tired to push her away but for some reason she pushed back. He knew she was a woman who always got exactly what she wanted but he couldn’t let her get him. Yes. He wanted her laid out on his desk and all over his shop but he couldn’t go there. She wasn’t even sure if she was staying in Illinois. He knew if he had one taste of the woman who brought chaos to his brain, muffins to his shop, and smiles to customers then he wouldn’t want to let her go. Can Walker keep his distance from Sienna or will he give into what everyone around them sees? A woman who makes him happy.

I loved, loved, loved this story! I have been waiting patiently for Sienna’s story and the wait was so f- worth it. I love the Landry’s so hard and knowing her throughout those books was fun but this...is perfect for her. The Gibsons reminded me of her brothers with their banter but they are edgier and less refined. No suits for these boys. But picturing Walker in his black shirts and work boots is sexy but add in the grease and callous hands...beyond hot! I felt like I was right there in Crank with Walker, Sienna, and Peck. Walking around teasing them and working under the hood of a truck.

The characters, all of them make up one amazing start to a new series. Walker and Sienna’s relationship is fun, sexy, frustrating, and beautiful. I loved that they are an unlikely match. A match that probably wouldn’t have happened if she didn’t take that swing. Walker’s brothers, cousins, and Nana are hilarious, sweet, and will do anything for each other. I am excited about their stories. I totally have crushes on them especially Peck.

P.S. While I am writing this review my husband is working on a car in the garage. Yes...he is a mechanic in his spare time. So I know all about the smell of grease and hot mechanic jumpsuits.

Quotes:

“Donaldson is in. Where’s his invoice?”
“F- if I know,” I grumble. “Sienna filed all that s-.”
“Where?”
“All I know is the folders were all sparkly. There’s still glitter on the floor back there. I’d just follow the glitter trail, Peck.”
“I’d like to follow that glitter trail,” he smirks.

“You like baseball and history?” Lance asks. “F- Walker. Wanna blow this joint and go home with me?”

“Close your eyes, Gibson. I’d hate for you to see what you’ve been missing.”

When Sienna Landry landed in small town Illinois she didn't the turn her life would take on one unspectacular night. A mishap between a bat and a truck is all it took.

Walker Gibson fell into his job after the loss of his parents, and even though it's hard work he loves the work. He's got his health, family, and friends, what more could he ask for?

Walker and Sienna come two totally different lives, but don't they always say opposites attract? And in Walker and Sienna's case that couldn't be more true.

The push and pull this couple share heat things up until it combusts into an all out inferno.

But Walker is hiding a secret that's about to bite him in the butt. Will this the be cause of Sienna leaving Illinois in the dust? Or will Walker be able to convince her to stay and give their love a chance?

Crank is a fun, sassy, hilarious, sensational read that grabs the readers attention from start to finish. The chemistry between Walker and Sienna is electric and flies off the pages. And the sauciness that Sienna embodies is brilliant. Walker is rough around the edges but he's got a heart of gold.

I loved every minute of this page turner and didn't want it to end. Walker stole my heart one piece at time, even when I wanted to slap some sense into him I still loved him. I also loved how Walker's family is such a big part of his life and how they are always there for each other in good times and bad. Same goes for the Landry family, Sienna may be miles and miles away but they would do anything for her without question.

If you've read any of Adriana Locke's Landry books, you will love finally getting Sienna's story. If you're new to Adriana's work, Crank is a perfect first book to read. It's filled with witty banter, hilarious shenanigans, endearing family connections, and romance that will make you swoon.

I highly recommend you pick up Crank today and get swept away by this sexy mechanic that's good with his hands and a heroine that will keep you on your toes.

Every book I read of Adriana Locke’s becomes my new favourite. She manages to balance every emotion and make her reads electric. Her leading men are exceptional as she writes family and loyalty like no other and ‘Crank’ is fantastic and ticks all of those boxes.
It truly is “Southern royalty meets small town mechanic, 5 stars”. ‘Crank’ is the first book in the Gibson Boys series.

It all started with an accident and once Sienna locked eyes with the owner of the truck she just hit. Even though he certainly Is not the type of man that she would have dated in Savannah, with his scowl and cranky attitude he made her feel HOT. Something she never was even in the rooms of politicians and celebrities.

The next morning she realises she has to see him again in a few days at his auto repair shop. She can’t stop thinking about him and after seeing him again she still can’t read this man. This sexy as sin man who smells like grease and heartbreak. She was just drawing her to him...

Ultimately it was Sienna that made this book for me - she was AMAZING! The fixer with the biggest heart. She made me smile, especially at her confidence and the way she loved the Gibson boys and nana fiercely.
This book made me laugh, made me shed a few tears. Thanks Adriana for another amazing book!

What a beginning to anew series. I love the cross over with Sienna. I love the Gibson brothers so much.

Walker had me wanting to junk punch him myself at times but he totally redeemed himself and even made it on to my list of favorite book boyfriends. Once you got past the large, dense wall he had around him you learned he was caring, sweet, loving, and just a special person you only meet once in your life. That time is now for Sienna.

Sienna is at a crossroads in her life. There are many paths for her to choose from but only one is where her heart really wants to be. It is getting there that is tough. She has a few walls to break through and one large hurdle to jump. Sienna is stubborn and there was one point I wanted to smack her and tell her to just get over it and move forward but she had to do it her way or else she would have never been happy with herself.

This book was extremely well written and once I started I didn’t want to stop. I look forward to the rest of the brothers and Peck’s stories.

I loved listening to the audiobook of Crank by Adriana Locke, her first book in The Gibson Boys series. This book features Sienna Landry, first introduced in the Landry Family series, however, you do not need to read that series to read/listen to Crank.

In Crank, we meet Sienna Landry and Walker Gibson. Sienna wants more than the life given to her by being a Landry, not that she has anything to complain about. Her family was everything to her and loves her. She is just looking to live her life, her own way. I loved how tough, honest and caring Sienna was.

Walker was a mystery. He was a good man. He was a caring and loving man and always stood by those he loved. But he also blamed himself for so much and did not allow himself to move forward. He had secrets, so he held others at arm’s length. But when Sienna enters his life, keeping her at a distance proves to be too difficult.

I loved Walker and Sienna together and absolutely loved how they met. They had great chemistry and Sienna was drawn to Gibson. But he continued to give her mixed signals, until he didn’t Then when everything seems to finally fall into place, things fall apart. Can Sienna ever trust Walker again?

Crank also had some of the best supporting characters I have read! I cannot wait for Peck’s story (or at least I hope he gets his own story), Walker’s cousin and I loved Nana. The narrators for Crank, Wen Ross and Kai Kennicott. did a great job bringing Sienna Landry and Walker Gibson to life. I loved listening to the story and cannot wait to read more of this series.

4.5 stars! Listened and reviewed for Sultry Sirens Book Blog!

I loved the Gibson family maybe even more than the Landry family *gasp*

I know, I know! But before you throw stones at me just hear me out.

This family is your amazing small town perfection. Growing up in a small town is really like that. Everyone knows everyone and Sunday is for church and family.

Walker, while he is an ass, he's just scared. Guys are weird lol and he is no different. Who he is as a man means so much more than anything fancy or shinny. He's one hot mechanic who loves his family.

Sienna! Ahhhh so different from everyone in her family. I'm so proud of her. She wants to do her own thing on her own time. Such a strong individual.

Peck and Nana make this family! I can't wait for the rest of these books. I think Lance's book is going to be steamy and I'll have to fan myself since he's such a manwhore.

I just smiled and felt the love while reading this family.

Sometimes the book was cute, sometimes but was silly, and a couple of times it royally pissed me off! I cannot believe how he treated her after their first time then his huge secret that came to light! Also Peck always butting in was amusing at first but then I was red to smack him when he continually butted in and did the opposite of what she asked him to do. Overall it was just okay for me.

A FANTASTIC start to a new series!I
I just finished, Crank by Adriana Locke with tears streaming down my face! Damn Adriana gets me everytime. My heart is always fully invested within her books. I fell so hard for all the Gibson boys in Crank, but Sienna Landry was my girl. Strong yet soft, tough but tender. The girl next door with a quick comeback and always something to say!! She can hold her own with a bunch of guys. Knowing just how to put them right in their place. Like a chameleon she adjusts to every situation. She can get down dirty, swing a bat, even climb a tree... all while remaining classy lady. My kind of girl.

She comes from money, he's completely blue collar. She trying to find her way, he's trying to forget his past...
When Sienna busted into Walker Gibson life, he was totally blindsided. Omg don't get me started on this stupid boy. He had me so frustrated with his mixed signals. Running hot and cold all the damn time. THINK GRUMPY, aloof with a hard shell and soft center .... Damn boy was like a tootsie pop, how many licks does it take to get to the soft sweet center?? It doesn't really matter, because once you get to that center, it is worth the wait. He is extremely luscious and ALL MAN! I LOVE HIM!

Walker & Sienna had me totally absorbed in their story. It was everthing you could ask for in a book... I could not stop smiling and laughing my ass off! The dialogue and banter were hyterical. So flipping good! In between the laughing, I was swept off my feet and I may have shed a tear or two. Add in a fantastic cast of characters... Walker's brothers, Lance & Mac, their cousin Peck and their sassy Nana... I WAS A GONER FOR ALL OF THEM. All the guys were foulmouth, rambunctious and horny, but totally loyal and protective! Nana was as sweet as sugar and as strict as a drill sergeant. She kept all the boys in line while baking her pies!! A true family that sticks together no matter what. I loved all their interactions... Sienna could just be their missing puzzle piece.

I can not wait to get my hands on the next book, which is Lance's story. He's a sexy History teacher... Don't let his profession fool you, he's a dirty boy. Oh the fantasies!!!

“I’ve not been able to stop thinking about you since I saw you on the sidewalk trying to hide that bat behind you.”

Hooray!! ::throws confetti:: It’s time to celebrate because Adriana Locke has created a new, amazing family of swoon-worthy heroes to fall in love with! The Landry family is one of my favs and I was sad to see their series end, but not to fear, I have a good feeling that these Gibson boys are going to more than fill that void. Crank was a great start to this new series and having one more dose of the Landry clan is never a bad thing! I loved being introduced to this charming little town in Illinois and the fun and rowdy family that is like the blue collar version of the Landry’s. This story was angsty, sweet, and sexy with the perfect brooding hero and the feisty woman who gets under his skin. It was an addicting read and I think it’s one of my favorites from Adriana Locke! I really look forward to reading more about these delicious Gibson boys!

“Sit down,” he sighs, sitting on all four legs again. “I won’t bite.”
“I’m not totally convinced of that,” I mutter.
He leans forward, gripping a bottle in front of him with both hands. “If I did,” he whispers, “you’d like it.”

If you’ve read the Landry family books then you are familiar with Sienna Landry, a free-spirit who branched out from the safety of her family to try to find her true place. This quest to find herself landed her in Illinois starting a design business with a friend. It’s here where she meets the handsome and brooding Walker Gibson, after an unfortunate incident with a baseball bat and the front end of his truck. They strike an agreement for her to help around the automotive repair shop that he owns in order to make up for the damage to his truck and the more time she spend around Walker, the more she wants him. She can tell he wants her too but getting him to give in is proving to be quite a challenge for her, luckily Sienna isn’t one to give up easily. As she slowly wears him down, she’s also delighted with how easily she fits in with Walker’s family and thinks she may have finally found the place where she truly belongs. But Walker has a secret that rocks her world when it comes out and she’s left wondering if everything she thought she found has been a lie.

'This crazy, foul-mouthed, not quite politically correct gaggle of boys and their Nana have changed my entire world.'

I’ve always liked Sienna so it was no surprise that I loved her in this book too. For coming from a large, well-to-do family, such as the Landry’s she is very well adjusted and so down to earth. I love her feisty personality and that she was no pushover. I love that she pursued things with Walker but she also didn’t put up with his crap when he was so grouchy and gruff toward the beginning. I really loved Walker too! As I mentioned, he was a total grump at the beginning and sometimes wasn’t the nicest guy, but it was clear that he was acting that way more out of protection than anything else. As we soon discover, he’s truly a great guy and has a huge heart. He definitely makes his fair share of mistakes, including a doozy of one that sends everything crashing down. But I love a good grovel and Walker definitely did that. The chemistry between him and Sienna was fantastic, super-hot and very sweet. The rest of his family, Nana, Machlan, Lance, and Peck, these were such a great group of characters and so easy to fall in love with. Especially Peck!! He was such an unexpected treat throughout this book and I hope that we get his story one day! If you’ve never read the Landry family books, you will still enjoy this one and if you already love the Landry’s this one will be a great treat for you while also making you excited for more from the Gibson boys!

“I owe you.”
“You’ve owed me since the day you met me.”
“And you haven’t let me get even yet,” I say, kissing him.

Sienna and Walker are start of something new but they have the feel of something so familiar and comforting that their HEA is like your HEA! Sienna Landry’s Family thought she had flipped her lid when she announced she was moving from Savannah to Illinois. Determined to pursue her dreams though, she stuck out dreary winter weather and building a client base and market space and her efforts have paid off as she is living her design dreams. When Delaney tells her she will have to put her time with business on hold and move home to help on the family farm Sienna has a choice to make - she can either continue with the business in IL or move back to GA and re-enter the Landry fold. She has always wanted more for herself than the pearls, charity functions, and stuffed shirts waiting for back home - but she does miss the family something fierce - decisions decisions… When a mild mannered night of frivolity leads to busted truck with her holding the baseball bat - Sienna is faced with the gruff owner Walker Gibson a man unlike any she has ever encountered before. Rather than taking payment for the damages she offers herself up as an office manager to help the grouchy man and his lovable cousin at their garage Crank. Walker was just looking to relax and hopefully blow off some steam from his life when he ventured out to Crave - what he got was a busted truck and eye full of Sienna. Ever since then he has been pretty useless and it’s not just because she’s a smokeshow, she just has this quality that calls to him that he can’t quite name. That’s how he finds himself agreeing to the cockamamie idea of hiring her on as his temp office manager when he would like nothing more than to pin her up against the nearest office desk. Sienna is so smart, funny, charming, and beautiful - everyone who meets her is instantly enamored with her from their customers to his own Nana! Walker knows right away that he is far to damaged for the likes of an angel like her and tries to avoid her - but the chemistry they throw off is nuclear and proves impossible to ignore. Landry and Gibson’s ignite but ghosts from the past threaten to derail true everlasting love.

I voluntarily read an advance reader copy of this book.

CRANK. My first Adriana Locke book. And, gosh, I fell head over heels for the book, its story, its couple, its side characters, its emotions. Laughter, tears, pain and utter joy – I experienced it all. The Gibson family truly weaved their way into my heart – and rather quickly. Walker, Machlan, Lance, hell, even and especially Peck – they’re all swoon- and drool-worthy. A wonderful small town family (I adore their Nana!) that is not born with a silver spoon in their mouth. No, these are heroes that work in and own an auto repair shop or work in a bar – not having the hero be your typical millionaire / billionaire was a breath of fresh air! And above all, they are hilarious and plain beautiful souls!

Walker is the first of the family to get his story. Owner of a car repair shop, he is used to working long hours and getting his hands dirty, ensuring a job is done correctly. He is content with things as they are. Having had his fair share of troubles with the female population, he isn’t looking for another one. He has his huge and supportive family – and that’s all he needs.

Until … well, until Sienna comes into his life like a wrecking ball (excuse me, you’ll get what I’m saying once you read it), refusing to leave him alone. Soon she becomes a permanent fixture in his life, much to his dismay…

She comes from an incredible huge and supportive family like Walker and is as stubborn as him. Boy, is she stubborn… And that’s where the similarities end. Because unlike Walker’s, her family – and thus her – is very wealthy, and every single sibling has made something of themselves. Sienna is kind of the black sheep, not wanting to stand in the shadows of her powerful siblings, but instead, carving her way through life on her own, discovering the world and just experiencing the simple life. It might be part of the reason why she introduces herself to Walker only as Sienna, nothing less, nothing more…

Walker’s broodiness and rough edges and Sienna’s resilience and devotion – together, as stubborn and frustrating as they both are, they are a force to be reckoned with. What they share – secrets and truths, questions and answers, pain and joy, friendship and love – is remarkable and rare. Stunningly beautiful.

…and I know Peck is “just” their cousin, but I desperately wish for him to find his match. He is the best friend with the best advice, the confidant, the one that is always funny, always there, and still gets overlooked. He truly deserves to be swept off his feet. I’m rooting for him!

All that said, I can’t wait for the rest of the family members to get their own stories!

If you thought there was no possible way that Adriana could top the likes of the Landry boys, GUESS AGAIN! I can tell you that she is going to rock your world with these Gibson Boys. Once again, she has knocked it out of the park with this family of smart, broody, funny and HAF brothers. You will have all the feels. Adriana will leave you with a smile on your face and a full heart.

I'm pretty sure that if you looked in the dictionary you'd find Walker Gibson next to the definition of broody and grumpy. Man, I wanted to smack him silly in one breathe and have my way with him in the next. Walker does not talk about feelings, does not wear his heart on his sleeve and barely smiles. He seems to carry the weight of the world on his shoulders, but trust me when I say that you will not love him any less because of it. You know he has a heart of gold, he just needs to let go of the past and have someone show him what he's missing out on in life.

Sienna is used to the finer things in life, but she doesn't want that to define who she is. She could easily fall in line with the rest of the Landry's, but wants to set her own path to a future she chooses for herself not one that her family thinks she should have. I adore her character. There is no pretense about her; she's honest, loyal and has a big heart. She is totally genuine and absolutely adorable. There is no one that doesn't like Sienna, myself included.

I don't know how Adriana does it, but she does. The amazing family dynamic she creates does not in any way detract from the story of Walker and Sienna. The banter, the laughs, the guy talk between this family of rowdy brothers and one cousin is awesome. They are sassy, inappropriate and all-around fun to be with. I think that's what I love the most about this romance. It's equal parts hot and steamy, honest and real with plenty of laugh out loud humor. What you see is what you get with these boys and trust me when I say you will enjoy the ride. I loved this book and I already have a great feeling about the rest of this crazy family. You won't want this to end, but the fabulous part is knowing we'll hear more from these Gibson Boys!

"There's something raw and real about Walker. It's the way he looks at me, the way I can't quite tell if he wants to grab me and kiss the hell out of me or throw me out of the room. Either way, it burns my libido like it's a forest hit with a hot match."

*Fans Self* You ask, how can this Author top the Landry Boys? Well, the Gibson boys may rival them in their hotness, their strikingly different, yet endearing personalities, and I am sucked in so deep I could devour every book in one sitting. Not even kidding. Powerfully obstinate couple, each with obstacles, that attempt to push each other away, but the pull that you can feel in your heart won't let them do it. Walker is broody, snarky, hot as sin mechanic with a past ready to rear it's ugly head and level all he and Sienna built. Or will it?

"His brown eyes are filled with something I haven't seen before, something that makes me feel like everything over the past few days comes down to this moment, like if I fall, I may never recover."

Equal parts sweet, romantic, and searingly hot, I couldn't put it down even if I needed to. My feels exploded at their vulnerability and when you began to read the progression from attraction to much more, I fell hard for this couple, even nearing tears once or twice. One particular scene that you CANNOT miss will stay with you long after reading The End. The Author nails the beginning of what I'm predicting is a can't miss series of new hotties!! I thank the Author for providing a copy to review!!

I have been really excited for this book for ages. Sienna Landry has featured in the Landry series, but now she kicks off this brand new spin-off series, featuring the Gibson Boys!!! And the Gibson boys are amazing... I can see this is going to be the start of a great series. If you've not read the Landry series, that's absolutely fine, and starting with this book as a standalone would work perfectly!

Sienna is a bit of a wild-child, and slightly lost in the world. Always gone off on her own, doing her own thing, away from the bright lights and fame of being part of the famous Landry family. I enjoyed Walker and Sienna's friendship turned more. There was obviously some instant chemistry between the two of them which shone from the pages, some super romance and passion too.

The book was filled full of witty banter and humour which was a great page turner. The secondary characters in this story are great and we get a brilliant introduction to who we are going to meet in future books of the series!!

There was some angst and drama which added to the story. I did roll my eyes a couple of times, especially at the big reveal and secret - I don't know why, but it just made me a bit angry with Walker more than anything. I can't say any more for spoiler reasons, but still a thoroughly enjoyable story and I can't wait for the rest of this series!!!

Before I begin this review, I want to mention that I read a book with a super heavy plot, lots of subplots, and an ending that breaks hearts and mends them back together. I figured that book would be the cause of many nights of a book hangover...

But then I picked up Crank.

Crank is reminiscent of Written in the Scars. Small town, big dreams, broody characters with strong family/friend ties. And I couldn't have been more happy to read a book like this.

Sienna is a Landry, but this is the first book outside of the Landry family series. Her personality shines above all of the other Landry's, in my opinion, because she has the personality of a small town girl, but was raised with a silver spoon. She doesn't flaunt her upbringing, but doesn't shy away from it either. She also dreams of making it on her own, and I was very drawn to her and her personality throughout this book. She is light hearted - a ball of sunshine. She is very relate-able and loving.

Walker is broody af. His disconnect at some points is frustrating, but understandable as the book moves along. His friends and family are highly entertaining, and remind me so much of some of my own personal relationships with my husband's friends (as my husband is totally the broody one). You can tell from the beginning, though, that he has a complete heart of gold and he works hard to protect it.

Overall, Crank is a light-hearted read with many broody characteristics. The character development is on point, and the plot isn't too heavy a weight to bear. I LOVED this book, and look forward to reading more in the Gibson Boys series.

"There's something raw and real about Walker. It's the way he looks at me, the way I can't quite tell if he wants to grab me and kiss the hell out of me or throw me out of the room."

Sienna Landry moved away from home, looking for a place to find herself and fit in. When her circumstances change, and a night out results in her crossing paths with broody Walker Gibson, her life takes an interesting and unexpected turn.

"Something about Sienna flipped me sideways and I haven't been able to get upright."

The moment that Walker Gibson lays eyes on Sienna Landry, he knows that she spells trouble for him. The electricity between them is undeniable but he tries to keep his distance. However, the temptation of having her at close quarters, every day, tests his restraint to the absolute limit.

Walker and Sienna were intense together. I loved the palpable sizzle between them. The pull Walker feels towards Sienna was exciting and irresistible, no matter how hard he fights it. She gets completely under his skin with her kindness, her thoughtfulness, and sexiness. She's unpredictable and keeps him on his toes - and it completely turns him on!

I loved how Sienna just chipped away at him, even though she's puzzled by the walls he puts up around her. She knows he wants her and has no idea why he holds himself back. I loved her optimism and her determination to be an independent woman.

I adored the other Gibson boys and their Nana. Their banter, their familial strength, their humour. I can't wait to read the next book in this series.

Amazing start to this new family series from Adriana! I fell in love with the broody hot mechanic, Walker; the joker cousin, Peck; the smooth bar owner, Mechlan; and the teacher manwhore, Lance. We haven't met the mentioned Vincent yet, but I can't wait. Of course we can't leave out Nana, who the story wouldn't be complete without her and her Sunday dinners. I became like one of the Gibson family in Crank.

It all starts with an accidental swing to Walker's truck, Daisy, outside of Mechlan's bar. Sienna and her friend Delaney are basically caught red-handed. But from that night on, it snowballs into nothing but sexual tension and unexpected feelings.

“What do they put in the water over there?” “Sex appeal. Straight into the pipeline,” she says, pumping a fist in celebration of our luck.

I could not put down this amazing story between Walker and Sienna. Sienna had me laughing with her snarky attitude and take no crap from them Gibson Boys ways. She also pulled at my heartstrings with how Walker treated her in the beginning but totally made up for it with his swoon worthiness. Did he deserves a kick in the junk, definitely. Totally adore him for his redeeming qualities though, not to mention the hot and steamy sex above that.

I can not wait to read each and every one of these Gibson Boys books. Adriana Locke hit her mark with this spin-off from the Landry's with this new blue collar living family. Can't wait to see what they're all up to next!

Once again Adriana Locke blesses us with a sweet and hot small town contemporary romance. Somehow she can weave in the close-knit small town vibe, the going to church and family dinners on Sundays with a reluctant love story and make it just work so seamlessly.

Walker & Sienna are sweet. They are funny. They are hot. They are a little bit of everything which can also be said about this story as a whole. I laughed, I swooned, I cried. Such a good read. Walker may not be ready for Sienna, and she may not be expecting him either, but you can tell they are just meant to be. There’s a dash of angst, but it’s handled well.

As per usual, the side characters in this are everything, and have me so pumped for the rest of the series. I adore PECK! Agh. Where can I get me one? Machlan and Lance too! Nana of course, and Blaire may be a little mysterious at this point, but of course I want more of her too. Dave, oh my heart. Ok.. it’s fair to say I love everyone. Plus the little touches we get from already favorite Landry family! Agh. Such a great book for the side characters as well. I don’t know how she makes the mains shine while still making everyone else lovable. Talent for sure.

All in all a great read. If you enjoy contemporary you need to one click this one now! I said this when I read the Landry Family series, and I can easily say it again. Can the Gibson’s adopt me? I want to be a part of this. That is how good Adriana writes a family!

Adriana Locke has once again managed to capture my heart with her engaging characters and a story that is so flawlessly written you'll never want it to end! The Gibson boys will charm their way into your heart, leaving you with that happy feeling only Adriana can deliver and a huge smile on your face! You won't be able to stop yourself from falling in love with them!

I fell in LOVE with Crank! Adriana Locke has this unique ability to make her readers feel as though they are living between the pages of her stories. Her characters are delightful and dynamic, and so full of life that they take hold of your heart and become a part of you!

Sienna and Walker are the perfect couple! Walker is HOT and SEXY! He guards his heart, but Sienna is so good at pushing his buttons and testing his limits! I LOVED her! She was feisty and sassy, yet so genuine and kind. Their chemistry sizzled off the pages, and their banter had me laughing out loud and grinning from ear to ear.

This book made my heart swoon! Crank was irresistibly fun and hard to put down! I fell in love with every single one of the characters in this story! I absolutely loved this book.? Adriana is an awesome storyteller! ? I've previously read most of her books about the Laundry family (Swing is the only one still on my TBR list). I loved those books.❤️ I had high hopes for Sienna's story. This book Did Not Disappoint! ? It was amazing! ? I loved learning more about Sienna and meeting the Gibson boys. ❤️? Walker has the perfect amount of swoon-worthiness and reserve. He is an Alpha-male who loves his family & community. He is definitely a tough nut to crack! I loved how he wants to protect Sienna from harm. Even if that means from himself (and his secrets). Sienna is a strong woman who knows what she wants. She however, isn't always certain on what that is. I loved how she loves with her whole heart. She also knows the importance of family and community. Sienna & Walker could burn the house down with their amazing chemistry.?? I loved reading as their story continued to unfold. It had everything, including dual POV. I love this!? To be able to get inside their brains & know what they're thinking & feeling. It was neat to see them evolve & grow individually and together. I also enjoyed learning about all of the secondary characters.? I can't wait to see their stories told. Lance, Peck, and Machlan. This is Definitely A Must Read for any fans of her books and writing! It is also a Must Read for any fans of the Landry family. Look out, here comes the Gibson boys! ❤️? I can't wait to see what's next. ?

AHHHHH! I LOVED THIS SO MUCH! The FEELS! The laughs! The amazing family dynamic! I just couldn’t get enough! CRANK has got to be a NEW FAVORITE of mine from this author! Just when you think you couldn’t love Adriana Locke’s writing anymore than you already do, she gives us a brand new family to FALL HEAD OVER HEELS for! The Landry Family will ALWAYS be special to me, but The Gibson Family is a FORCE of NATURE! This small town family is lovable, hilarious, entertaining, and just absolutely WONDERFUL! I wanted to jump through the book and give them ALL THE HUGS! No one writes impeccable family dynamic quite like Locke does! I’m IN LOVE!!!

Walker Gibson is up first! His better half, Sienna Landry, who we all know and LOVE, is giving him a run for his money! These two were just EVERYTHING I could ever want in an Adriana Locke coupling! Two stubborn characters falling for each other is just PURE JOY to experience! It’s blue-collar meets blue eyes in the first EPIC standalone in Locke’s INCREDIBLE new series - The Gibson Boys!

If you don’t fall instantly for these boys, I’ll eat my hat! Gorgeous, stubborn, frustrating, and swoon-worthy, this author whips up another batch of men that we will never forget! If you are looking for a beautiful romance full of humor, heart, and hilarious banter, look no further than CRANK! You will ADORE and DEVOUR each and every page! I Voluntarily reviewed a copy of this book

I love books about a family. So this series I snatched up (and because its Adriana Locke, lol) We've met Lance in the previous book. He's a teacher. But one of those sexy nerdy teachers and he loves his kids and his family.
Mariah is feisty sexy and kind women, and she's a librarian (love these types of books) and who doesn't love librarians. And these two together, perfect. Their banter, their pretend to not like each other, even though she bakes him cupcakes (which she will vehemently deny) I loved it. But these two are also two people who are in need of some healing, each having gone through their own hurts and maybe the two of them are just what the other needs.

Will they be able to trust each other to let the other heal them or will they keep their secrets and just go on with their lives the way it is.
If you haven't read books from this author, then I suggest you give it a try. Funny, sexy, sweet pure Romance, second chance friends to lovers type of romances, that you will basically devour in half a day, lol
I cannot wait for the next book in this series, so excited.

Oh my heart....

I freaking loved Crank! It is everything!!!!

Walker and Sienna met in a very unconventional way, but they had a connection from the get-go that everyone around them could sense!

Walker is a hardworking guy. He has a heart of gold, but he doesn't outwardly show that side of him due to things that happened in his past. He often comes across as a grade A jerk. His friends and family all see past the jerk persona and see the good guy he is. What he doesn't expect is for a random stranger to see past that persona too. From the moment their eyes met, Sienna could see something in Walker. It is something Walker tried to fight every step of the way, but she is fierce and wouldn't let him hide from her.

Sienna is beautiful on the outside, but even more so on the inside. She is strong, independent, and has a heart as big as Texas. Sienna comes from a prominent family, but has always felt she was meant for something more. Everyone who meets her seems to fall under her spell. Walker finds himself falling under her spell against his will. He fights her tooth and nail, but Sienna keeps on fighting for what she knows is there inside Walker. That is until his past comes back and threatens to destroy the happiness these two eventually find!

I love everything about Crank! I love the story! I love Sienna and Walker! I love Peck, Machlan, Lance, Nana, and Dave! I absolutely can't wait to read more about these characters!

Crank is sublime. This is my first book by Adriana Locke and it will most definitely not be my last. I couldn't get enough of this story and can't wait for Craft to release in January.

"I want ripped jeans, nights with whiskey slurring, and laughing with no regard to who is taking a picture."

Sienna, whom you've met in Landry series, comes from a powerful white collar family and is ready to stay out of the lime light. She is sassy and assertive. I could see myself hanging out with her and being besties. Walker is a broody, hot and cold mechanic that is irristable in a way that you will do anything you can to make him smile.

The tension in Crank was high as Walker and Sienna danced around each other in a battle of wits. Even as Walker was doing everything he could to hate Sienna he just kept getting pulled into her orbit.

"While I was never the little girl that wanted to go to out space, I'll sign up for this ride just to see what it's like."

My favorite aspect of this story was the bond between Walker and his family and the small town. I adored Peck, his cousin, and his Nana. I loved the people we met coming into Crank and the relationship that Sienna built with them in such a short time.

I even enjoyed the crazy drama I could sense coming on! Crank is the first story in the Gibson Boys Series and I can't wait to see all of them get their happily ever after.

This book just makes you laugh out loud. The Gibson boys are hot and very supportive of each other. And Grandma is still in charge of the boys!

Sienna is a very independent woman who is trying to figure out what to do with her life now that the business she has been building is successful. She meets Walker Gibson when she decides to take a bat to his truck! She was showing her friend how to swing a bat!

The interaction between Sienna and Walker is entertaining. They dance around their attraction for each other but they finally give in to it. Sienna gets along well with Walker's brothers and cousin, Peck, and loves Grandma. Their relationship develops until Sienna and Walker realizes that they are in love. However, Walker is hiding something and it seems like everyone in town knows but Sienna. When it comes out, it comes out in the worse way and Sienna doesn't know what to do or how to feel other than betrayed by not just Walker, but everyone in town.

Walker must figure out how to fix the mistake and let Sienna know how much he loves her. He proves it to her in the most special way. This is such a great start to the series and I can't wait to read more about each Gibson boy.

If you have never read Adriana Locke before, “WHAT IS WRONG WITH YOU?”. OK, seriously…you are missing out. Her Landry series is one of my favorite series. This is the first book in a spin-off Gibson Boys series. Don’t worry you do NOT have to have read her other series to thoroughly enjoy this book. If you have read her Landry series, Graham and Lincoln make a cameo and it will not disappoint. While her Landry series has been one of my favorite, I think that the Gibson Boys series is going to be even better.

Sienna moves to Illinois to start a design business with a friend. She’s trying to branch out and do her own thing outside of her family business. Through a series of events, she’s working off her debt in Walker’s garage. Both are smitten with each other, and both have secrets they are keeping.

This is such a sweet, funny and sexy story that keeps you on your toes. There are moments that are so heartwarming and beautiful that it brings a tear to your eye. All of the characters are lovable and endearing from the beginning. You want to know more about all of them and not just the main characters. I can’t wait to read their stories. I love that the story is about a rich girl and a hardworking blue collar guy. It’ is such a nice change of pace on typical tropes. This story has all the feels. You definitely need to make this the next book on your TBR list!
