Greatly enjoy Gregg Olsen, and this did not disappoint. A really interesting look at how our past has baring on our present and what it can mean. A sad and gripping story at times with characters to appreciate and others who were easy to despise. Toward the end I had it pegged, but actually took the book to bed because I couldn't leave the last 12 percent unread.

What an intense and stunning thriller! Gregg’s writing is full of drama and surprises resulting in a novel that is not to be put down until the end. He keeps you guessing about what was the last thing she ever did!

I really like the beginning of this book. There were certain points where I was just shocked by the characters actions within the first 40 pages. It is hard to like these characters. It’s hard to relate and understand their actions but I found I kept reading to find out why. I liked how they all twisted among each other. It was predictable and I was disappointed by the ending considering how strong it started. It was written well and had good points all the way up to last chapter. It was a quick read and worth it.

The book was a quick read. Grabbed my attention right away. Though Liz soon got on my nerves I was still intrigued. I read on. Looking for that surprise glimpse of a past event and the unknowing twist at the end. But it never came. My only surprise came when I realized I had just read the last page. Could've been more.

From the first paragraph this book grabs your interest and keeps it until the final word! The reader feels everything that the characters experience from the flood which claimed the son of Dan while two other children were spared, to the trauma that took Charlie away from his parents, this novel keeps you turning pages while you learn more of everyone involved - their strengths, weaknesses, and evils! This is a great novel!

The Last Thing She Ever Did has all the ingredients for an amazing mystery. The author weaves a tale that takes the reader on a crazy ride until the very last chapter.
The story carries intrigue to a new level. The characters are all neighbors that interact continuously lying and deceiving one another. A horrible accident happens and a child is missing; abducted or killed??? There were no witnesses and no evidence.

Gregg Olsen never disappoints me! As an avid true crime reader, his and Kathryn Casey’s books are my favorites. They both provide so much more than “just the facts” of each case. I’m so glad Gregg has made a smooth transition over to fiction with just as much skill. This book was just disturbing enough to be intriguing. I could hardly put it down! Highly recommend his books if you like crime and mystery.

Very good book overall. It really kept my interest and I wanted to keep reading it. A lot of twists and turns to the story. The bad things about the book are that it has too many fillers in it. Too much additional stuff that really doesn’t help the story. Even with the parts that weren’t needed, I couldn’t wait to get to the end. But then when I did, I was quite disappointed. It has a very unexpected ending that leaves the reader hanging. I guess the author wants the reader to come up with their own thoughts of what happens afterwards. But it could definitely have a continuation book to it!

I felt as though I personally knew each person in this story. The characters were so well developed. The tension built slowly and steadily as you read it until it all comes to a head at the end. I did not see the twist ending coming. It's one of those books that will stay in your mind for a few days once you've finished it. I highly recommend it!

When I began this book, I thought that the subject matter was too raw for me but I continued on and am glad that I did. It is truly a rollercoaster ride and even though I guessed the ending, it was quite satisfying. I usually do not write too many reviews as most books are pretty lame, especially the endings.

I could NOT put this book down. I started reading it this morning and just finished it. From the very first couple of pages this book just grips you. I've gone through so many emotions while reading this book and I do have to say it's a tough book to read, very tragic events take place. It won't be everyone's cup of tea.

This was pretty well written and I read it within a week. It was just better than okay. No real surprises. I really wanted a little bit more of the characters. I didn't like any of them and I suppose that adds to the story base. I'd read another book by Gregg Olsen and hope to be more invested in it.

Liked the end the best and the beginning liked the least. I almost put the book down because I did not like the beginning, but decided to stick with it, and ended up intrigued with the characters. I am glad I finished to the end which left me feeling sad and not as happy as have liked to have been. Surprise ending.

I was almost half through the novel before it became compelling. Don't like such slow starts.
Characters are well fleshed out and consistent. Lots of repetition of feelings. Not very believable plot. I probably won't read this author again

This book was very hard to read emotionally, but yet I had to see how it ended. I can't really say it had a happy ending because everyone lost something in the end. If you don't like stories where a child is the victim, don't read this book.

If you can believe the incident that starts this whole process, then I guess this is a good book. I could not believe anyone would do this and then continue to perpetuate the lie, so for me the book was so so. I will try another by the author.

I love a page turner and this didn't disappoint . Grabs you from the very beginning and carries you through every twist and turn . Characters are complex , often dark, but you can love them one minute and hate them the next . Suspense is ongoing and engagimg. Wonderful twist ending

On boy, another yummy book by Olsen. A little boy disappears from his front yard. Mom turned away for a little bit and then he was gone. Like all the books I have read by Olsen, this is a book you want to keep reading until you finish. Good author.

This is a great book. Kept me interested from the start. I can usually figure out who did it pretty quickly. This one kept me guessing to the end. A worthwhile read on a cold winter's afternoon. His best yet!

Sort of suspenseful and outrageous at the same time. The characters may have been more interesting separately in their own stories?! I don’t know. I cannot recommend this book as it’s so unbelievable.

I would recommend this book to anyone who wants to be on the edge of their seat wondering what is going to happen next. I really think this one needs a sequel written to answer all of my questions after such a surprising ending.

I could barely put this book down. Actually I read it in two sittings. You won't want to put it down either. My only comment would be regarding the ending! I would have ended it differently! I can't spoil it for you.

Enjoyed the theme, had trouble with some of the characters, believable bit not quite. Still an good story always good when the victim is ultimately found. Do not believe enough of punishment was noted out to all involved,.

I have read very few books that so convincingly and totally convey the emotions and deep feelings of the characters. I became instantly involved with their feelings. I could not put the Book down once I started it.

This book grabs you right in the beginning and kept me all the way to the end, I couldn't put it down. The characters seem so real that I kept checking to see if it was non-fiction. Gregg Olsen can weave a tale like none other. Highly recommend. I've read a few of his other books, but after reading this one, I went and got 3 more.

I really loved this story. My heart was pounding almost the whole way through. I could not put it down. Totally did not expect how it ended, that is when I began to feel better about the story line not ending the way I thought it would.

I chose 4 stars for rating because i thought that's what it deserved. Plot fairly well developed, but only liz's character well developed. Her husband was practically a characterture. Carole and underdeveloped and uninteresting.

Excellent book by Greg Olsen. Well written as you know the mystery and how it's hidden by the leading couple but the thrill and anticipation leading to the climax will keep you up at night. great read!
