I love everything that comes out of Deaver's brain. That said, I just felt it went on for quite a while, then got wrapped up in a matter of a couple paragraphs. Which is why I'm not a fan of short stories.

I really loved being able to entertain myself with a mystery that did not require me to wait days for a resolution. While I enjoy more involved stories and characters, this was just what I needed to jump-start this day that was threatening to become one of sheer boredom.
