This story deals with the struggles couples go through with infertility and hormone therapy.I felt bad for Hunter & Sara. Hunter is trying his best to be supportive of Sara, while fighting his father and step mother not to sell his family business. Sara feels unfulfilled so she throws her self into helping Hunter's sister with her foundation to help abused women.
The journey is an emotional and rocky one for Hunter & Sara with lots of ups and downs, but it all works out as it was meant to be.
I am enjoying this series very much.
I received a ARC of this book.

Hunter Cabot is really married to his job, his wife Sara is trying to pull him back to her. They are dealing with fertility issues and she feels she is losing him. Sara decides to volunteer in order to deal with her issues. While Hunter is dealing with trying to keep his fathers company. There are real issues in this story but in the end they all turn out the way they were meant to be.
This is the second book in the series and can be read as a stand alone

** I received a copy of this book from NetGalley in exchange for an honest review**

I really liked the first book in this series, however, this second one is too difficult to like any of the characters, especially the primary couple. Hunter is a selfish, self-centered jerk who only cares about what he wants and has a combative attitude if anyone stands in his way, including his wife. Sara's character is an unrealistic pushover who takes everyone's negativity for the sake of keeping peace. She also is selfish with her one-track mind. Truly no one in this book is redeemable. I won't be purchasing the third in the series.

Sara and Hunter have been trying to start a family but they are down to their last IVF try. While Sara has been focusing on their family, Hunter has been fighting with his family to block their sale of the family business. Not only are there firm lines drawn for sides, but in the mix is Hunter’s youngest sister, Colby. She has her own issues which affect Sara and Hunter at their most vulnerable. I seriously could not put this book down! LOVED it and can’t wait to read another by Jamie Beck!

Beck brings the heartbreak of infertility and difficult family relationships to the forefront in the second in The Cabots, series.

This novel is one to savor. The story is well written and characters are dynamic and well conceived. I enjoyed listening to this audiobook (one of my firsts).

I highly recommend this book to fans of the contemporary women's fiction genre.

Everyone should read a book about a couple that struggles to get pregnant. It makes you really realize how little comments like “ When are you starting a family” or even thoughtless comments and jokes people prank about getting knocked up, can hurt to the core. This book took you though that perfectly. Well written, and narrated. I liked continuing storyline from book 1 and can’t wait for book 3!

It started very slow for me, not too interesting but ok. Then it started to hit a nerve and effect me. So it has good parts, but I honestly didn't like the main character wife. So awesome to all except her husband... expecting him to frolic at the park on a work day was so odd, but I was happy with her family's intervention in her mental debacle!

The book was great, but that ending was rushed and wrapped up too nicely. This is why it wasn't a 5 star read. The ending was way too rushed...it was not a very believable ending. With the problems that they were going through, there is no way you just have one conversation and just fix all of the problems.

Ugh I wanted this to be a 5 star read.
I hate when authors rush the endings

It’s angsty and heartbreaking story. It will take you through an emotional ride as it pulls at your heartstrings. A great storyline with great characters. I enjoyed reading about their journey as they struggled to overcome their obstacles and insecurities. Looking forward to reading more. I voluntarily reviewed an advance copy of this book.

I received this ARC from Net Galley for an honest review. I wish that I could give this book more than 5 stars, it was simply amazing. I was constantly on pins and needles or sobbing over the events occurring in this book. This heartbreaking story of so much loss was so beautifully written it made your heartache for Sara & Hunter, as we watch them go through one heartbreaking loss after another. Add to the sadness of Sara & Hunter was the distance between Hunter & his father over the differences concerning their family company. This book dealt with the very sad, serious & important issues with the infertility of Sara & all the failed attempts at getting pregnant, the undeniable & unfathomable grief of not being able to conceive a much wanted child, as well as domestic violence which sends so many women & children to underfunded shelters each day seeking safety. The way author Jamie Beck has brought all this into this story is brilliant. We aren’t just following Sara & her desire to start a family or her struggle with her marriage, we’re following her & Hunter on a journey of awareness. The awareness that their life isn’t going the way that either planned is painful & the desparate struggle to hang on to dreams that have kept them going for years is hard. The battle for control is hard fought in the marriage & the boardroom. The hardest battle of all though is the battle of the heart, when it’s been broken so many times you have to wonder if the battle is still really worth it at all. What we learn from this story is that winning just one battle can go a long way to helping win the other battles. We see the growth of Hunter when he finally decides to stop being so angry about what isn’t going his way & put the welfare of one small child & his wife first. We see the realization for Sara that her family’s not the perfect one she thought she’d been missing since moving away from home & their problems weren’t all Hunter’s doing. We also get to see the unexpected growth of one of hunter’s sisters when she’s forced to deal with a life changing event. The journey through this story is a ride that will have you holding your breath, wiping your tears & rooting for love right to the end. Definitely recommend.

It's hard to read about a struggling marriage and infertility, especially having lived it, but there is a happily ever after in this story. Great continuation on the story from book 1, all the characters you love, doesn't get too heavy on any of the plot points. Enjoyable. Ready for book 3.

Hunter is doing everything humanly possible to keep family business in the family. Sara on the other hand feels the business has taken Hunter from her. Gentry tries to fix the problem for Sara and Hunter, but it backfires as time passes. Looking forward to reading Book 3.

Well written book about the struggles of infertility and marriage. Will Hunter Cabot continue to put business before his wife and marriage? Will Sara be able to handle never having children? Will their love be enough to save their marriage? All the answers are here. A definite hard to put down book. Highly recommend!

Jamie Beck is my new favorite author! It was great to watch the Cabot family saga of ups and downs unfold with romance intertwined. I wanted more details on the chef and restaurant owner romance but always great to be left wanting for more. Can't wait to see where the romances spark in The Cabots book 3!

This first into the world of the Cabot family was darker....more ominous than the first book in the series. Book one, though dramatic, seemed lighter and fun. I suppose that's what I expected so the subject matter here was a bit of a former. All in all ...a great story.

Again, i really enjoy He Jamie Becks style and characters. It was good looking into a few others in the family with their lives and challenges. The story takes us into family quirks and feelings, but brings satisfactory solution and insights.

She shows that she can blend the various stories together while making the main story cohesive, clear and easy to follow. She is a master of surprise endings.

Jamie makes each character stand out without overemphasizing anything. The careful attention to details, made her book hard to put down. In fact it took only two full days to read it for me. I was able to follow the story line without having to flip back to reconnect. She is clear and concise without skimping on the essential elements that made this a must read.

This book was full of drama. I loved every second. I felt bad for Sara and her need to be a mom. I’m glad everything worked out for her and to see the Calbot family healing. Can’t wait to read Gentry's story.

The Cabot series (books one and two) have not disappointed. Interesting family dynamics. The issues that the Cabot family has dealt with and the way the story resolves the problems is not always the way one would anticipate.

I always love the stories Jamie writes. This one, in particular, tugged at every emotion I own. Though it was slow moving at first, I really felt the frustration, love & respect the main characters have for one another. Truly beautiful story about a lowest point in a relationship & how love, respect & communication help pull them back together.

Jamie Beck has become one of my top favorite writers so I am always thrilled when one of her new books comes out. All We Knew is probably her best yet with family dramas that I can relate to. I find it amazing that this prolific writer keeps coming up with stories that pull me right in!
