The pacing of DEEPCOVER JACK is perfect. Author Diane Capri packs weeks worth of excitement into a couple of days! It's a bit hard for me to realize Otto and Gaspar have only been partners for just over three weeks. And yet, here they are, on the eve of a Thanksgiving holiday each would choose to spend with his/her family rather than chase the elusive Jack Reacher to the (literal) ends of the earth. The twisted logic of their boss has them crab-walking first to Houston and then to Maine in search of Reacher's friend, Susan Duffy. Maybe this time, Duffy will help them contact Reacher. But maybe not, because, suddenly, Duffy is missing and no one can (or maybe they won't) account for her whereabouts; certainly not her smarmy boss. I love reading these books. Certainly as a Reacher fan, I enjoy revisiting the sites of his adventures, but I've also grown to love FBI Agents Otto and Gaspar and their quest to track down Reacher. Mysteries abound on many levels, not least of which is why the Boss wants them to find him. Stay tuned!

I can’t express adequately enough how much I have enjoyed reading Diane Capri’s series. While there is minimal foul language, there is no sexual content just a real solid story. Diane spins a thriller in yet another book where FBI Agents Otto and Gaspar have been attempting to gain information on Jack Reacher since no information exists after he left the Army 15 years earlier. The agents have been involved in some serious situations by just following the orders of their boss while suspecting their boss knows more than he lets on. In fact, Otto and Gaspar are getting a little tired of the games their boss is playing while not allowing them time to go home or get much rest. On top of that, they sense they are being played by two higher ups, one in the FBI and one in the federal government. Otto especially senses that the situations are dangerous enough and without knowing all the pieces of the puzzle it might just get her or her partner killed.
Deep Cover Jack was by far the best as the suspense was killing me not knowing where it was leading me as I turned pages. At times I found it hard to decipher who was a protagonist and who was an antagonist, which character was playing for the team and which wanted to thwart the success of the mission. Jack Reacher is so much of a ghost no one knows how to get a hold of him, when or even if he will show up. Agents Otto and Gaspar have experienced more than they bargained for when the assignment began in the first book.
I cannot wait to see where Diane will take the characters in the series next, so in the mean time I will catch up with her Jess Kimball Thriller series. Enjoy the Jack Reacher series before her next book is published!

DEEP COVER JACK’s storyline explores the involvement of Jack Reacher in the activities of close-associates such as Susan Duffy. Capri protagonists FBI Special agents Kim Otto and Carlos Gaspar have been tasked by their director to find the mysterious Jack Reacher. Their investigation leads them to investigate the past and present activities of people who had worked with Reacher. Both Otto and Gaspar knew they are pursuing Reacher for personal reasons of their director. They find it curious the director always knows last minute details to aid them in their search for Reacher.
The storyline's momentum increases as Capri's skillfully builds an intense mystery thriller around Otto and Gaspar’s ongoing efforts to find Jack Reacher. Her storylines follow the two agents uncovering clues from their interviews with close associates from several governmental agencies who at one time or another worked with Reacher. The plot picks up momentum when agents Otto and Gaspar discover Susan Duffy has disappeared. The author adds support characters adding twists and turns changing the direction of the plot adding action and energy to the storyline. Capri shows how Otto and Gaspar connect Duffy disappearance to the illegal activity of a Soviet diplomat, an illegal arms dealer, human traffickers, and terrorists. Otto and Gaspar know they will upset their director when they decide to take action to find Duffy, stopping the sale of arms and breaking up a human trafficking ring.
Capri creates her storyline giving her readers details of what those who have worked with Reacher have been doing. Otto and Gaspar found those associates were loyal to Reacher as they knew they could count on Reacher for help if needed. Regardless of what was happening to those associates Reacher shows up to help for his friends. Readers embrace the activity of Duffy and her associates in Capri’s DEEP COVER JACK as they work together with Otto and Gaspar to solve the mysteries at the Soviets compound in Maine. Diane Capri creates a connection between Otto, Gaspar, Duffy and her associates that engages her readers with a spine-tingling mystery message from Reacher.

Jack Reacher is one of my all time favorite characters. Even though Diane Capri's 'Hunt for Reacher' books deal with two FBI agents on a 'search for Reacher' for a purpose they have not been let in on yet, even getting to read about someone looking for him is enough to make me read these books. And the books are always good, so I score every time. The two agents, Kim Otto and Carlos Gaspar, have been thrown together to hunt for Jack Reacher by a man they aren't sure if they really trust, but continue the search. Despite the Intel they receive from the 'boss', they always seem to be a step behind or have their backs turned when Reacher slides in and then disappears again before they realize it. The logistics of this book, which takes up where one of Lee Childs books leaves off (with Childs blessing) are mind-boggling and keep your eyes moving to page after page after page. I actually thought there was a hint of interplay between Reacher and another character early on the book, but you second guess yourself if it was really him and I decided it wasn't when this character helped kill off someone else. Reacher's all about keeping people alive - at least the ones he feels need to be kept alive. Otto and Gaspar wind up with two other 'partners' named Branch and Villanova who join the search as they are looking for one of the same people Otto and Gaspar are trying to find to get some answers. These were new characters, but I hope to read more about them. I don't want to write any spoilers, but Reacher is in Maine to protect two of his friends. Because that's Reacher. He most definitely appears towards the end of the book, although you only see the results of his work at Abbot Cape House outside of Portland, Maine. The four searchers go into an almost impossible situation, in the middle of a blizzard, and do the best they can do, which is just good enough. Good writing, good story line that keeps you moving along, thrills and chills (especially in the blizzard!) - I give this book 4.5 stars. Read it.

Deep Cover Jack by Capri took awhile to engage me but once I sorted out all the characters, I was ready for a ride. However, where was Reacher athough they were lucky to find an associate of his, Susan Duffy. There were a few occasions where I couldn't see the point of risking their lives to find Susan and her cohort but she was lucky to have an ex partner, Bland, to persist. Nail-biting at times and a little heavy on dialogue. There was also a question over the FBI boss.

Deep Cover Jack is the continuation of the off the books, undercover assignment of FBI agents Otto and Gaspar to search out and find the elusive Jack Reacher. Once again this is a fresh and different perspective of a much loved character from another series of books by another author. It continues to show how there can be many different sides to a story when all the fact are not know. I don’t want to give anything away, but this continues to be a great adventure and a great read.

As Agents Otto and Gaspar think they have finally gotten a promising lead on Reacher, they are forced to change their opinions about Reacher. Now they question their boss and their search. Who is helping who? Will Reacher contact Otto and Gaspar? Will he slip through their fingers again? Who is looking for whom?

Intriguingly, Kim and Carlos track missing agents to massive fortress on desolate ocean cliff where illicit arms dealers test long-range missile attacks as drugged, waif-like blondes await their purchase for gold bars. What part does Jack Reacher play in all of this? To see if you can answer that, read this book and be enthralled!

Deep Cover Jack by Diane Capri provides hours of great reading. Otto and Gaspar continue to be directed on a quest to find out information on Jack Reacher. Directed by a seemingly omniscient boss. In doing so they run into a world threatening criminal enterprise, a set of stalwart allies of Jack Reacher that are determined to protect him and the elusive but helpful Jack Reacher.
Forced into an uneasy alliance Reacher's allies, Otto and Gaspar work together through an action packed story that keeps your attention. Thoroughly enjoyable and a great read - the chemistry between Otto and Gaspar continues to grow with each story.

Thanksgiving came early this year! Always thankful for a new Search For Reacher book, and this is the best one yet. We get several new characters with various connections to Reacher, or connections to his connections. Won't be a spoiler, but you're gonna love this one. Can't wait for next episode.

The latest legal thriller by Diane Capri. Capri draws you right in to another search for Reacher by Otto and Gaspar. Thanksgiving in snow bound Maine makes for a cold but thrilling holiday. Make sure you have time on your hands because right from the beginning you won't want to put it down.

If you like Lee Childs Jack Reacher books you will love this book. Capri fills in the backstory of Jacks escaped in Persuader. Diane fills in some of the blanks from the story and makes you want to go back and reread persuader again. I can't wait for the next book!

Another 5 Star thriller for Diane Capri!! I love her characters..she has a way of crafting personalities that are so realistic that they pull you right into the story - just like the new Agent Kim Otto. She has the perfect traits for her character..I love her. This is a spine tingling thriller which moves along at a lightening speed through a multitude of twists and turn, building up suspense and tension toward a thrilling climax which explodes upon the scene with totally unexpected fury. Joe Green remain very elusive throughout adding a real edge to the story. Capri writes short chapters on the "bad boys" so that you have a fuller understanding of the plot as it develops. This is one of those books that keeps you reading..you just can't put it down. You just have to see what comes next as the chapter endings are so intriguing. Great read! If this is your first Capri thriller you have a great adventure ahead of you. Don't miss it.

This book got its background from Lee Childs book The Persuader. FBI special agents Otto and Gaspar are tasked to find Jack Reacher, who is always nearby, has just left, or was never there. This is an extraordinary book full of suspense, action and a seat of the pants thriller! Diane Capri is a master storyteller and again, has written another excellent tale of high intrigue and adventure . She nailed it again!!

Another action-packed thriller! FBI agents Otto and Gaspar’s special assignment to find Reacher continues with this installment. Special Agents Kim Otto and Carlos Gaspar were tasked with finding background information about Jack Reacher. But, Reacher has been living off the grid for 15 years and doesn’t want to be found. Just before Thanksgiving, both Otto and Gaspar want to spend the holiday with their families and take a break from their frustrating assignment, but once again are sent to Houston, and then to Maine right on the heels of Reacher. As always, Otto and Gaspar are pulled into another situation that becomes explosive in more ways than one. Full of suspense and twists, this 6th installment of the Hunt for Reacher doesn’t disappoint.

Poor Kim and Gaspar never know where they are going and why (other than they are being sent by Cooper and he thinks they might cross the trail of Jack)! Gaspar's wife is still expecting so I'm sure this is not being received well at the home front. It's Thanksgiving and it is not looking like either of them will be home in time for turkey. Once again Diane has written a fast paced book as we resume the hunt for Jack. It is a quick easy read and just the way to enjoy a nice evening or spend a relaxing day. It's fun to be on the review team and get an early edition and it keeps you wondering what will happen where finally meet up with Jack?

An American agent murdered on a secluded property in Abbot, Maine, and made to look like a suicide, on the orders of a Russian diplomat.
Agents Gaspar and Kim Otto, in the course of their ongoing search for Jack Reacher, discover a contact of his, Susan Duffy, has gone missing after being placed on Administrative Leave. Her erstwhile partner, Branch, listens to recorded phone calls between her and a mystery woman who is scared of something and asking for her help. The calls emanate from Abbot, and so he heads off to Maine. At the same time, Otto and Gaspar are also sent off to Maine by their mysterious boss.
What is going on in the house at Abbot Cove? Can they rescue Susan from whatever danger she is in? Can they get any further in their search for Reacher?
This book feels assured and pacey and Diane Capri seems to have now hit her stride as far as this series is concerned with this latest book, which is longer than many of the earlier ones, and kept my attention well throughout.
