I love all of Kristen Ashley's books and series but this Unfinished Heroes series is the best of the best. I loved Knight but I adored Creed. This book is more instense than her other books so if you are not into intense sex scenes dont read. The story is beautiful and sad at the same time but I love how the author develops it and how they both come out at the end winners. A must read and I cant wait till the next book in the series. Thanks Kristen for another great read and please keep doing what you love and we will keep on reading!

I absolutely loved Creed! I am a huge Kristen Ashley fan anyway but this is definitely one of my favorites. I am not sure why Kristen considers him an ant-hero because as far as I'm concerned he is a total HERO! Nothing anti-hero about him. If you love Kristen Ashley men you will love Creed.

Sylvie, more than any other KA heroine, had reason to be a heartless beeotch. The hand she was dealt sucked...hard. She has trust issues and uses men like lots of men use women. Underneath that badass exterior, though, is a woman who has earned the respect of those around her because she's a genuinely good person. Her circumstances would have destroyed a lesser woman, but Sylvie never shattered. Loved her scenes with Knight--whom I did not care for previously, but absolutely redeemed himself in his love for Sylvie. Creed is not your typical KA hero. He's a badass alpha male, yes, but he doesn't throw that shit around--mostly because that wouldn't fly with Sylvie. As usual, nobody writes epilogues like KA.
Warning--these are not your Momma's sex scenes. These are not even KA's usual sex scenes. The sex scenes lean more towards erotica, but this IS a love story. They are not clinical or graphic, but are abundant and detailed. There is also a rape scene in the book, which was, thankfully, third person and glossed over. That being said, it was disturbing and not for the faint of heart.

We 1st meet Creed in Knight, but his story is so emotional. The struggles, torture, torment that Creed & Sylvie went thru was just gut wrenching!!! The things that happen to them due to things not in their won control and by the evil people around them just made me cry. This entire book had my emotions all in my face, I couldn't get away from them. you want so much for things to work out for Creed & Sylvie but they have soooo much to deal with. The was a great 2nd book and I think my favorite out of the 3 right now.

I love this author! I think that I found this book harder to enjoy because of the storyline. It is challenging as a story of lost love and cruel separation and abuse.
It is not possible to dislike the courage and character of any Ashley heroes and heroines and I was relieved when Sylvie and creed did resolve all their problems.

I can't say there is only one issue I have with this authors writing style because I've only read this series, but if she could do away with the swearing or maybe certain curse words it would really set these books off. It was a total turn off to have read what felt like every other word as a swear word and I found myself skimming it just to try and avoid reading them.

I enjoyed this book, but Creed didn't come close to Knight for me. I wish both Sylvie and Creed were a little less rough around the edges. It was a little to close to Knight and left me feeling a little cheated. I am really looking forward to the next book and will read it for sure!

I do think this is KA's best one yet, and if you've read any of her other books you know this is really saying something. Creed is everything you expect from KA, complete with bad ass alpha male, but this time with the addition of a heroine who can absolutely take care of herself. Sylvie is hard as nails for a good reason, but underneath the tough exterior her heart is still just as soft as ever. She's made a good (if unconventional) life for herself and is doing just fine when suddenly Creed reappears in her life and everything she's believed for the past 16 years is now being questioned.
Creed let Sylvie down, and she's lived with that since her eighteenth birthday. The reason comes out slowly, and I loved the way KA handled the flashbacks, revealing the truth bit by bit. The true reason Creed didn't protect Sylvie the way he promised was heartbreaking, and honestly hard to read. I agree with another poster who said the only thing I wish would have been made a little clearer is why Creed didn't check on her at any point over the last 16 years; if she was that important and he "kept her with him" for all that time, I would think he would have made some effort to at least see where she was, make sure she was happy.
Other than that one point, this was an emotional, beautiful, dirty, HOT, thoroughly fulfilling journey through the lives of two very realistic characters that I wish I knew in real life. I cried, I laughed, I cringed, and I put the Kindle down with a very satisfied sigh at the end. Bravo, Kit, you've done it again! Can't WAIT for the next one.

The Second book in The Unfinished Hero Series by Kristen Ashley, Creed will unlock every emotion you have. It will break your heart, make you mad, sad, happy, etc. There were times I wished I could reach in the book and slap someone or give someone a hug. The way Kristen wrote this book makes you feel as if you lived Creed and Sylvie's story right along with them. Again, just like the first book in this series it is an adult erotic romance with some very steamy scenes. If you are not into that, then this book is not for you.
At eleven years old Tucker Creed is living a nightmare. He lost his father a year ago and since then his mother has turned into a drunk and a whore or pays no attention to him, the whole town knows what she is and looks down on the both of them. He is alone in the world with no one to turn to until one night he meets six year old Sylvie.
Sylvie has lost her mother to divorce, her dad has remarried and her step mother is a drunk. Her controlling dad and step mother fight all the time, screaming and fighting so much than Sylvie sneaks out of the house to get away until its over. One night she is out in the woods and runs into Tucker Creed. They both realize they have alot in common, both with no one to turn to they form a bond, despite their age difference. As the years go on they grow closer and fall in love. They form a plan to run away as soon as Sylvie turns eighteen, they will leave and start a life together and never come back. Creed promises Sylvie that he will take care of her and protect her always. On the day of her eighteenth birthday she is waiting at the pier, where they are suppose to meet, but Creed never shows. She waits all day but her never comes. Many, Many years later they are thrown together again but it's too late, so much has happened in the sixteen years since she seen him last. She wants nothing to do with him, she won't even let him explain, what could have been more important than her, their love for each other and the life they had planned together? How could he just leave her to her nightmare and not protect her they way her promised? What happened to his Sylvie to turn her so hard, she isn't the same Sylvie from all those years ago?

This newest book by Kristen Ashley is a roller coaster of emotions!! I have read all of her books and this one had me really twisted in knots emotionally. All her books have intense characters both female and male so I'm always ready for either laughter or tears but this one really brought it home in the tears deptment. Creed and Sylvie's story is both heartbreaking and beautiful and I loved the way KA pulled it all together. I always find it interesting how she manages to bring in characters from her other books in a seamless fashion. It makes it seem like all the books are one giant continuing story still unfolding with another episode just waiting to happen. I really don't know to many other authors who can pull this off as effortlessly as KA does. I enjoyed it immensely but that being said it's not a book for everyone. Please download a sample before you buy because it you are not a fan of first person writing or don't enjoy intense sex scenes this book will not be for you. I can't wait to see what she writes next!!!!!

I like this book. KA def did it different with sylvie being a bad ass. I think it threw me off a little since its always the men that are off the hook crazy. I still think it is an amazing book and love KA for her creative writing.

Beautiful and heartbreaking all at the same time. Creed could easily moved up my list of KA favorite guys. He's beautiful. He's such a sweet soul and utter badass th that I don think I could describe him in a way that it would do him justice.
Sylvie. A woman who went to he'll and back survived got the shirt and freaking still went and made her life beautiful.
You can never go wrong with a KA book.

Sylvie is the female version of Knight. I kept forgetting that she was a "she" and it wasn't Knight talking. I loved reading about Knight and Anya again, but this book was not for me. I'm a HUGE fan of KA, so I really didn't want to tear this book a part. I'm just going to leave it at it's not one of my favorite books by KA. =(

Let me just say that I love Kristen's books! I've read every single one and she never disappoints! I work in a salon and her books are always the first ones I recommend to clients! She has a way of sucking you in, getting you to know and fall in love with her characters! She did it again with Creed! Thanks for the wonderful stories Kristen. Please keep em coming!

Sylvie was a bad as s and I had a little trouble warming up to that and reconciling it with how close she was with friends. Creed was a once in a lifetime hero. God so sexy so sweet so heroic...they had a heartbreaking and finally awesome cheer out loud for them story. chelle did seem a little too good to be true. Hmmmm. Don't miss this one...and it is steamy hot!

This is the ultimate alpha male book but instead of an insipid "virgin" for a heroine you get a badass female. And not to mention the bedroom scenes (well bedroom, kitchen, living room, you get the idea) were smokin' hot.

Well, what to say about Creed. First of all I did not like it. I am surprised because I am a Kristen Ashley fan. I could not wrap my mind around the female character. Sylvie was suppose to be a bad ass, but beautiful and loving. I thought she should either be a bad ass or the loving wife and mother - not both. She also smoked which gave me the vision of a person with leather like skin and a gravely voice. I couldn't envision who she was suppose to be. On the other hand, I loved Creed. In typical KA fashion, he was handsome, a bad ass, a loving partner and parent. He was a great guy that for some reason still loved her more than I thought he should after 16 years.
Knight made several appearances in this book and I actually liked him. I didn't like him so much in Knight but I grew to love him in Creed.
This book just didn't do it for me. The epilogue was great though,as usual. I have read the Dream Man series, the Colorado Mountain series, Knight and some of the rock chick series and this is the first KA book that I rushed thru because I didn't want to read it anymore.

If you want an alpha hero who loves and protects what is his with his entire being, this book is for you. I just finished reading Creed and I am not ready to give him up. I loved reading more about Knight too. Kristen Ashley knows how to hit all the right marks! Will be eagerly waiting for book 3.

I've said it before but it should be repeated, Kristen Ashley is one talented, damn writer! She creates characters that we, as readers, immerse ourselves into. Again, thank you for bringing us into another world you created. 'Creed' was well worth the wait. Next up, 'Raid', and the wait is already too long.

"Wow do I love Kristen Ashley's books. The h in this story is not a soft character and yet you do get to see her soften through the story. Creed is really a great match for Sylvie because he is just as hard but has a soft spot for her. There are always good action in KA books but what I love is that she concentrates on the developing of the relationship. Whenever I finish one of her books I feel as though these are people I could be friends with."

Dull. I five starred Knight but I found this to be really dull and frankly poorly executed in some places. We wait all that time for him to tell her and she skips it to show in dream sequences? For all their history, not much happens. Going to try Raid but if it's snooze I'm moving on.

I have absolutely loved other KA books but was really disappointed in this one. I did not like the female lead character at all. You can't use the word heroine or hero for the two main characters in this book, because those stereotypes don't hold true to this story-But that is not why I didn't like it.
The author gave us a very ugly and violent back story regarding the current couple in the book. In most circumstances this would have you really cheering for a happy ending. In this case the grown up version of the leading lady is just so unlikeable, un-feminine and vulgar that I really could not care less that she got hot sex through most of the book and has a good shot at happiness in her future. You have to have atleast some sympathetic emotions invested in the main charachters if you are going to care if they find some love and happiness at the end of the story.
Ms Ashley's Book-Raid is a 5 star stellar book in my opinion, and I fell in love with both the Lead Charaters. But on this book, I have already deleted it from my Kindle.

I am a huge KA fan, but this book didn't really do it for me. The story of why Creed left Sylvie was too ridiculously unrealistic. The flashbacks never felt completely filled in. Sylvie is an engaging character, but overall, this book left me a bit flat.
Instead, I HIGHLY recommend the Colorado Mountain series, Burg series, and Dream Man series.

Anyone who gives this a bad review is crazy! The past and journey of Creed and Sylvie is filled with tears, laughs, and goosebumps. Simply a wonderful book. I have read almost all KA's books and have never been disappointed. I couldn't put this book down (as well...pretty much all her books). This one is different and I just think tugs at your heart in a different way. READ IT!!!!!!!!!

not sure how I feel. Have read all of her other books and enjoyed them sooooo much. I would laugh so hard that tears would come. There was no laughter with this book. It was difficult to deal with the anger and pain that the female character carried.I wasn't expecting this and was taken off guard. The writing and flow of Kristens words were as always wonderful. Any books that she writes I will always buy but next time I will be more open minded so as not to be taken off guard. Love you Kristen.. keep on writing.

Usually love KA but this one didn't do it for me. Creed was so in love with Sylvie he named his kids after her? That's too mean to his wife for me to really rise above as a reader. And he waited too long to find her. Why wouldn't he search for her?

I can't get enough of Kristen Ashley books. Creed proves once again that she knows her Alpha males and in this case Alpha female. I was a little hesitant about this book due the warning about some of the content but it was extremely well written and handled with care. I fell in love with the characters from the very beginning and felt every emotion they felt. Kristen Ashley knows how to suck you in and keep you in the book to the very last page. Creed is an emotional roller coaster that had me laughing crying and holding my breath more than a few times. It is a must read in the Kristen Ashley library.

Big KA fan, I gave this book 3 stars. Despite the graphic erotic scenes. The story fell flat half way through the book. It went on and on about Sylvie and Tucker's relationship. Very boring IMO. When the suspense story line was entered, it was to close to the end. Not enough riveting scene's that I am use to KA books.
"Knight" is a better book to read.
I am really confused as the way the fan's of KA think that this is her best work? Really?? I have read 22 of her books. It is hard to believe that other's think that this is her best?
Something is up with these comments! Not true or accurate!

I've enjoyed other KA books but was really disappointed in this one. I had to stop reading half-way through. I didn't like the lead female character at all. I generally don't like females who constantly compete for dominance in a story. I like a strong and quirky female lead but I like the man to be Alpha - not the woman. Also, I'm not a prude, but I'm really getting tired of the overuse of the "F" bomb. KA uses it a tremendous amount in all her books but this one was just ridiculous. I mean, does she think that people commonly use the "F" word in every sentence? I don't think so.
The personality of the female in this story was just tiresome so I just couldn't finish this story. Now, if you really want to read a great book by KA, try "RAID". It was yummy!

Creed has to be the best book I have read.. The story was touching and I was moved to not sit up but to stand up because I couldn't hold my emotions in. 16 years knowing the one who your soul lives and longs for can not describe the love Creed felt for Sylvie (my new SHERO). Creed was amazing to the very end. Kristen Ashley you Rock! :)

I'm a huge Kristen Ashley fan and this is the first time I've been disappointed. I drooled over the Colorado Mountain Series and Dream Man series but I barely made it through this one. I read Knight from recommendation. Just not a fan of the storyline. I had purchased Knight and Creed at the same time. Not sure I would have bought Creed after finishing Knight... Just my personal choice is all. I don't really appreciate the whole prostitution / pimp thing that goes on... not that it isn't real life for some... just not a life I would like to read about.

It's pretty much impossible to not love any book KA writes, and Creed does not disappoint. If you're a newbie beware, you'll be sucked in to the wonderful world of sexy alpha males and rock chicks. This book was horrible. Every other word was an expletive. I'm not a prude, I don't have a problem with this, but I do have a problem with that being the ONLY two words that both characters know. I get it. I get that Sylvie is a hardcore chick, but she is a completely boring character. Creed isn't any better; they were both extremely predictable. The plot line was utterly ridiculous. Sylvie is a hired hand who "protects" prostitutes from the clients. Is this really the only job that a seemingly tough woman can have? I could not put it down simply because I had to be rid of it as soon as possible. The sex scenes were great. If only the rest of the book was that intense. I'd like to contact the author and get my $4.00 back.

I was EXTREMELY hesitant to read this book because of the disclaimers and reviews of the Unfinished Heroes series in general. But I finally read this one because I thought maybe I could deal with an unfinished hero if he had a stronger female lead. And I probably WOULD have liked that, if it had happened.
I was so disappointed.
Sylvie: Oh, look at me and my hardcore self! Except the part where I'm a terrible driver (hello, female cliché hahahahhahaa that's so funny) and I get lost a lot (even though I'm the most capable of capable sidekicks) and I take all of 5 seconds to let my overwhelming lust for the guy who (as far as I know) abandoned me to a horrific fate that I couldn't escape for 6 years take over and completely change my entire life. Also, I've got serious skills but I can't notice I'm being followed for an entire month, or that someone's been in my house multiple times. Seriously, the only time I thought she did anything amazing was when she escaped her old, horrific life.
She was portrayed as both physically and emotionally weak, frequently overcome by her hoohah, and far too quick to give in when asked to forgive & forget. This was basically the complete opposite of what I was expecting.
Creed, the "Unfinished" Hero: Hero? What hero? Unfinished doesn't even begin to describe it. The guy disappeared and never checked on her EVER because **spoilerific reasons omitted** even with the internet and anonymous burner phones and the many ways available to a freaking private investigator??? Sorry, that's just too unbelievable. Especially when **spoilerific reasons omitted** should make you MORE concerned and determined to make sure she's okay. Then when he does come back into her life he's a condescending jerk who informs her that she's stuck with him until she doesn't want him to leave.
I'm seriously sick of the "her life is on hold while his is complete and fulfilling (even if he can say it's not totally *emotionally* since she's not in it)" genre. So what? He moved on and she was stuck in limbo for 16 years. Please. He didn't go without because of the memory of her. LET HER MOVE ON FOR ONCE. #tired #cliché #old
She was supposed to be so freaking amazing, and she's almost pathetically not. Maybe it's because he always gets in her way. I don't know, but I'm also not interested.

>Book Review – Creed
>I am an independent reviewer. This book is the 2nd in the Unfinished Hero series and ends with an HEA. Tucker Creed and Sylvie met when they were 6 and 11 years old. Both of them were hiding from abusive homes. As the years go on, the relationship between Creed and Sylvie gets tighter and tighter. Creed really shows his integrity by refusing to start a true physical relationship with Sylvie until she was 18 and legal. The backstory of Sylvie and Creed is really heartbreaking. I loved how the past was told interspersed with the present. Sylvie goes from a strangely tough chick to an understandably damaged woman as soon as the past is revealed, both to her and to the reader.
>Creed’s ex-wife is the only character that was too good to be true. I have never met an ex so understanding. His kids and the super extended epilogue were so fun. Creed dealing with all of the fall-out from Sylvie’s abuse is beautiful to read.
> This book is appropriate for an adult audience. I am giving this book 5 stars. I would have liked to see more scenes of Sylvie as a mom. I loved the unconditional love that Creed has for Sylvie, no matter how mad she got at him. This is a great story.

Creed by Kristen Ashley
I have no idea why it took me so long to finally pick this series up. I was hesitant about reading because of the warning in the beginning how she isn't a soft girl like the others shes tough as nails. Sylvie and Creed were great friends when they were younger over the years things at home got tough but they always had each other. When Sylvie was 18 they promised to leave their home to have freedom only a father got in the way and both of their lives changed. Creed left making something of his life and Sylvie became a tougher girl, taking no crap from no one. Since Sylvie works for Knight (first book) Creed joins the team for an assignment and reunited with his Sylvie. It starts off rocky but when they finally able to talk about the past they see what really happened and are disappointed none of them got their happy life but vow to be with each other once again. I love knight in this one he was actually sweeter than the first, he was really sweet on Sylvie like a younger sister and looked out for her. I felt back to her and creed they never got their happiness together but they eventually found each other once again.

Just finished...and smiling so huge right now. I finally feel lighter after a few days of a heavy heart. The epilogue took the darkness away and I finally felt their happiness & peace. Simply beautiful.
This is the first KA novel that I have read where it didn't take me to my happy place until the very end. I didn't feel moments of glee or find myself grinning/chuckling; for me, this book was heavier than any other KA book I have read.
I am a wimpy, emotional reader. Often I find myself getting so drawn into the story that I have a hard time separating fiction from reality (silly, I know). I get so engrossed in the story and attached to the characters that it is as if their emotions start leaking into my own. Stories and characters stick with me long after I have finished an amazing and/or upsetting book. Because of this, I tend to veer away from sad, heartbreaking and/or books with dark themes. I simply can't handle it; I prefer my HEA high over a heavy heart (so does my husband since he has to pick up the pieces when I suffer from a fiction based meltdown).
From the very beginning of Creed, I felt anxious. The intensity of the story was constant. I found myself feeling on edge each time I started the next chapter; the story gripped me to the point of needing to take breaks just to process what had been revealed (I usually whip through KA books and cannot put them down) . I woke in the middle of the night thinking of Creed & Sylvie's painful history. The flashbacks of their past and Sylvie's dreams left me heartbroken and breathless. The amount of cruelness Creed & Sylvie suffered and what was TAKEN from them in the most deplorable ways was devastating. As difficult as I found to read about their past and the scars they both carried with them every day, I never stopped rooting for them, loving them and felt the need to push through to the end of their emotional journey right along with them.
Because of the feelings this book evoked (even if they were mostly painful), I must give it a 5 star rating. The way KA wrote this story by weaving the past and the future together through flashbacks and dreams was brilliant. I felt like I was watching a relationship rebuild from an incredible foundation that was laid down 16 years earlier. Because of the way she pieced it together, the bond/connection Sylvie & Creed shared was so pure that they could not be anything other than soul mates...and as the reader I could never give up on them and this story. For me, in the end, Sylvie & Creed's future finally overshadowed their painful/devastating past and I found my KA happy place.
I have now read 26 KA novels and 99% of them I have read twice (sometimes 3 or 4 times...no judging please). That said, I will not reread Creed. I will leave Creed & Sylvie on their pier in peace and not look back at the long painful journey it took for them to finally get the happiness they deserved. I will replay the beautiful epilogue in my head and remember the HEA they finally found.

Creed (The Unfinished Heroes Series Book 2)
Creed (Unfinished Hero, #2) by Kristen Ashley (Goodreads Author)
Debra Johnson's review Jun 23, 2017
bookshelves: kristen-ashley
Adult Contemporary Romance
4.75 true stars.
Although the sensuality is very hot and steamy, I don't think it goes far enough to be labeled Erotic.
My Smashwords copy had typos in one section.
There are a few areas that are a bit repetitive. Everything else was awesome.
The main characters, Creed and Sylvie are well developed. Their story is full of triumph over devastating circumstances. I found both characters very interesting and a lot of fun to read about.
True soul mates that could have been crushed by life, but fought for themselves and each other. There is courage, strength, and undying love on every page.

Sylvie & Creed, Creed & Sylvie
These two characters are awesome ... a perfect match made in romance book heaven. Their story is so sweet, heart-breaking, beautiful.
This book made me feel ...
I really, really, really liked this book. But I didn't love it. From the very start of this book I was hooked - completely engrossed in the story and our wonderful characters and their very hot, steamy, sinfully delicious sex.... right up til the 70% point ... then it just got kinda boring. Once the past is all figured out & our characters decide to have a future, I felt that nothing else really happened. I was anticipating some kind of drama, twist or some action, but with the exception of a very small bit of action near the very end, nothing happens. And I wasn't a big fan of the epilogue (I will leave it at that).
Overall this is a very good book. It's such an incredibly sweet story .. maybe just a bit too sweet for my taste. I'm still not quite a Kristen Ashley fanatic ... but I'm certainly willing to give more of her books a try.

This Kristen Ashley book was unique in that it paired two people (hero and heroine) who were equally alpha. It was an interesting concept that worked surprisingly well. On finishing, I'm of the opinion that there are none quite like Sylvie Bissenette. She is a petite, gun-totting, vigilante-earning, protector of woman. I admired Sylvie's stubbornness but self-awareness of when the battle was over and she needed to relent. She was full of integrity, fierce loyalty and spunk. She works in the employ of Knight, which I wasn't sure about as that is the only KA book I haven't enjoyed. Knight was a side character in the book and I warmed a little more to him. He had some excellent lines, short, staccato but poignant.
This was a book of fantastic second chances if only Sylvie would let herself. Creed was a scarred, gun-totting, vigilante/PI-earning alpha. They were one another's first love. Seeing these two fight and bicker for power and one-upmanship was highly amusing. Behind all this is a solid, engaging tale of longing and unfulfilled dreams. As with others in this Unfinished Hero series, there's a upgrade on the twisty heat that was fun to read. I've read this series out of order but it doesn't matter, they stand alone well.

Creed is book 2 in the Unfinished Heroes series. The stories are a little grittier and raw. Still the amazingness that I expect from a KA book, but with an edge and I love it.
“You need me. You won’t stay away and you won’t let me go because, baby, you can’t breathe without me.”
It is a beautiful second chance love story for two people who thought they had lost their chance at love.
“Born to love you, baby,” he repeated. “Die lovin’ you, my Sylvie.”
I’ve reread the book and relistened to the audiobook several times and I never get tired of this story. Great narration!

Creed was great! It started off strong, got a little choppy half way in, but finished with a bang thanks to Kristen Ashley's great epilogues.
Sylvie and Creed were friends growing up. They spend eleven years protecting each other from abusive and alcoholic parental figures growing closer as the years progress. As they mature their realtionship becomes a romantic one. On Sylvie's eighteenth birthday they are set to leave Kentucky, and their parents behind. The morning of their grand escape Creed never shows. Sylvie's left confused and heartbroken, but the worst doesn't come until she heads home to her abusive father to find out he has sold her to the local pimp/drug-dealer to pay his debts. Six years of abuse under the hand of her new 'boyfriend' come to pass until she's able to escape to Colorado where she begins a PI firm. While working on a case for Knight a partner is brought in and who else could it be but Tucker Creed. Sixteen years of separation hasn't put a damper on their explosive chemistry, but Sylvie's not the sweet debutant she once was and she's not afraid to come down hard on Creed for disappearing on her in her time of need.
Creed and Sylvia's relationship is filled with love, hate, turmoil, and lust. I'm not an overly emotional person, but I was bawling for the first half of this book. The heart-twisting moment that Creed made his debut back into Sylvie's life I didn't know whether I wanted her to jump his bones or shoot him. Yes, it's that angsty. And once things start to heat up it is nuclear! Talk about some fan worthy sex scenes. All I can say about that is, WOW!
Ashley has a writing style all her own. If you've never read one of her books you may be shocked at first. You get 1st person POV from Sylvie and Creed throughout (but mostly Sylvie's).Flashbacks are abundant in this one, but they flow so well. In fact, the flashback scenes were some of my favorite parts of the book :)
There were a couple of things that bugged me in Creed, hence, the 4 star rating. The reveal of WHY Creed disappeared without a word was VERY slow to be revealed. Even when he finally tells Sylvie what happened, we the reader, only get the story in short snippets by way of Sylvie having nightmares about what he told her. I would have enjoyed to read the the conversation between the two rather than finding out tediously for the next 200 pages. Also, Sylvie's story of what happened during her six years of captivity were never described in detail. I'm not trying to be morbid, but I would have liked to know why she stayed in the situation for that long before finally escaping. Was she locked in the house the whole time? Was she chained to the stove?
In all, Creed was a great book. Maybe not as angsty as some of Ashley's others, but there's no one that can hold a candle to her when it comes to pulling my heartstrings. I recommend reading her Colorado Mountain series, and THEN, when you're thoroughly hooked on KA (because you will be), and are in the mood for something a bit steamier than her normal fare check out Creed!

Loved the plot of the book, Creed was a great Hero, although Sophie started to annoy with the tough attitude, I felt she could still be tough without trying to appear male, and really her language; where does it say using the F*** word make you tough. I get her life was hard and her father did screw her over, I can even get that she thought Creed and just walked away as well, however really I know a lot of women that have been screwed over and even though they get a tough skin they don't walk around with the "don't mess with me or you'll get hurt" attitude. It's like the old cliche "thou protest to much". Sophie was pissed at Creed when she found out he used her baby names but had sex with him? Even angry sex? Really?

I have to admit, this was not my favorite KA book when I first started it. I had a hard time connecting to Sylvie and how they were when Creed first comes back to her. However, there was really no hope for me when it goes into their back story. My heart couldn't hold out when it came to young Sylvie and Creed, their journey, their protection of each other. It was so intense for them at that age, and reliving it in pieces as they navigate around each other later in life. This was one of the harder ones, and in the end I feel like it gave so much more. This is one of my favorite series from KA. I really enjoy her anti-heros and anti-heroines.

Creed (Unfinished Hero #2) by Kristen Ashley was another listening pleasure for me. Creed and Sylvie story really was one of the stories about first love, soul mates and second chance love. That one love that consumes you and no matter what happens in your life, the good, the bad and the ugly you can't forget it.
I love Sylvie she has her battles, but she is still such a strong character considering all that she had gone through. And as for Creed just thinking about him has put a smile on my face. What he did for Sylvie, the girl who stole his heart, the girl who was his life it was such a selfless act.
I adored the intense passion between Creed and Sylvie and such a perfect epilogue, I had to listen to it twice.
Loving this series and I’m excited to listen to Raid next.

Well, I am on a Kristen Ashley high again after reading Creed. It was an intense, emotional, hot, steamy, touching, sweet, swoon-worthy page-turner.
From the start I was immersed in this book, the story grabbed me at page one and had me till the end. Well, it still has me. I just couldn't put it down.
Sylvie and Creed were intertwined from childhood but they were separated when Sylvie was 18, neither one knowing what happened to each other till 16 years later when they are back together working on a job for Knight.
From the first time they worked together you knew this was going to be one hot read.
"I heard his chuckle and it was different that I remembered too. Not just deep and smooth, the rough was in it.
It made it sexier.
A lot f**** sexier."
Sylvie tries to stay detached and does not want to be drawn into her feelings for Creed, believing that he left her so long ago without a backward glance. But things are never as they seem and learning just what happened made me feel so much for what they had to go through.
I loved Sylvie - her strength, her resilience, her vulnerability and gentleness. I loved Creed - full stop! I loved his determination and the way he expressed his feelings for Sylvie - pure swoon-worthy.
Kristen Ashley weaves a beautiful story of love, heartbreak, trauma and surviving. I really loved the way that their history was woven into the present story. It worked perfectly for me, explaining as we went along, not giving too much away all at once. It allowed the build up of angst and emotion throughout the book so that you didn't feel like you had to backtrack to remind yourself of what had gone on previously.
There was humorous banter thrown in, as I love in Kristen Ashley's books, but this one definitely dealt with more serious issues and character growth.
As with all the other Kristen Ashley books I have read you feel the emotions of each character, you feel like you are there with them and this was no exception. I am so looking forward to the next instalment of the Unfinished Hero series.

“Born to love you, baby” he repeated. “Die loving you, my Sylvie.”
When six year old Sylvie Bissenette and eleven year old Tucker Creed first meet, it sparks a relationship that spans the decades. Both coming from violent homes, their shared experiences connect them in a way that makes them almost inseparable. When, at eighteen, Sylvie and Tucker make the decision to leave their old lives behind to start afresh. But when Tucker doesn’t show for their planned escape Sylvie is left heartbroken and alone.
Fast forward sixteen years and Sylvie Bissenette is unrecognisable from the girl she once was. A professional badass, she now works for Knight Sebring (a character in Book #1 of the Unfinished Heroes series) and holds her own against some of the toughest males in the industry. When a mole infiltrates Sebring’s business he enlists the help of one Tucker Creed. ‘Creed’ follows Sylvie and Tucker as they reconnect as partners; will they be able to put their feelings aside to complete the job at hand or will their history prove too much for them to bear.
Kristen Ashley is known for her love of alpha male characters and Tucker Creed does not disappoint. However, what separates this book from Kristen’s previous work is that not only to we have an alpha male we also have Sylvie Bissenette. This gun touting, foul mouthed alpha female gives Tucker Creed a run for his money in every possible way. I specifically loved the way in which, as the story progresses, the Reader catches glimpses of the ‘old’ Sylvie; thus proving that she hasn’t lost herself entirely.
This book is action packed, fast paced and sex fueled. Fans of Kristen’s previous work will not be disappointed, especially given the references to characters from her other books; notably Cabe ‘Hawk’ Delgado and Lee Nightingale. A fantastic read for KA fans old and new!

I enjoy the Unfinished Heroes trilogy very much, Creed is the second installment and it was better than Knight in my eyes. I think the story keeps you entertained, Sylvie is a badass woman that does PI work, even if some of her clients are a bit shady, she lives by her own rules. Creed is the man that has loved Sylvie as his life. Someone forces them apart for 16 years causing Sylvie to be forced to do the unthinkable in order to survive for 6 years of her life. 16 years later they reunite through a job, where they must work together. While the story was great and the foreshadowing into the past kept you entertained, I have always had a hard time with the disjointed dialogue. The dialogue is at most times not whole sentences, I understand that is how they talk, but sometimes it is hard to follow through and understand what the characters are talking about. The flow gets disrupted and more often than not I have to read things over to understand what was said. Do people really talk like that? I haven't come across people talking like the characters do.Maybe I am too sheltered, however it has always bothered me about these books despite the great story. The epilogue was so great, and thorough, wow I have never felt so satisfied with an ending before. I look forward to reading the next installment Raid.

I actually liked this better than book 1.
This is about a relationship that was doomed...
Sylvie met Tucker Creed when she was 6 years old and he was 11. They came from two different worlds...she was rich and he was poor. They had one thing in common though...abusive families. They sought comfort with each other...they took care of each other...they grew up together.
Sylvie has loved Creed ever since she was 6 and even though they are meant to be together...Creed waits for her until she is 18.
They are so in love...
She turns 18, they make love, are all set up to run away with each other and he disappears....
Sixteen Years Later!!! OMG!!
She is a bodyguard that works for Knight (from book 1). Knight has a mole inside of his unit and needs to bring in a PI from the outside and the PI is....Creed!! He sees Sylvie, stalks her for about a month, sees that she is unhappy in her life and makes his move to get her back.
Sylvie hates him in when the meet...who wouldn't....he left her all alone. The book explains why he left...the book explains what happened to her after he left which are both horrible.
It just kills me how much time they lost....the whole situation with Kara and Brand's names (need to read the book to get this) is horrible! I would have been so hurt, no matter Creed's reasoning.
This book has some heartache moments, some "what could have been" moments....overall good book.

i've read just about all of Ms. Ashley's books (Dream Man series, Rock Chick series, Unfinished Heroes series etc) except for her fantasy series. While I agree with many of the comments that I've read about her stories being 'addicting', my issue is that most of her 'heroes' are reminiscent of each other so although it's a different story, it's like the same people. Her character development formula has been recycled and reused so many times it's quite comical. It truly does take away from the essence of her storyline and in all honesty, I'm beginning to view her as a LAZY writer. Yes she found a good niche in terms of creating a story line but her plots are weak and after reading 3-4 of her books, it becomes: hmmm..why bother to waste my $ when i'm getting the same thing?
even the language is repeated...Shy says "tear each other up..." Raid says "tear each other up..." at some point in the stories, the H "shatters" the h causing her to tuck her tails between her legs and flee only for the H to make chase. None of the H's actually ever apologize for their tempers and cruelty and ALL of the h's forgive and take them back...
I don't know what's going on with Ms. Ashley's writing of late but this once a fan is saying bye bye to her.

OMG I love me some Creed and Sylvie....
Once I finished Knight I was eager to read Creed. I was not disappointed at all.
Sylvie is a bad ass I must say, fearless but also deep down is a softie. Only when it comes to the people she loves and Creed of course. I loved him by the way, have I mention that already? Oh well I'm going to say it again. I thought I was hooked on Knight by my oh my ladies. When the stories of their childhood comes into place it was heart melting, he was her hero, her protector. But also her one and only.
Creed and Sylvie both had their demons from the past that finally came up and told me what the hell was wrong and why they have not seen each other for sixteen years. And damn that was sure as hell messed up. I wanted to jump into the book and cut off her Dad's balls and shove them down his throat, maybe to harsh? Oh well that's how I feel.
But overall it was such a great story. I'm so happy and giddy when they just kept popping out babies. :) It was a great end to amazing book....
A must read for sure!!!!

Kristen Ashley write amazing characters and Creed and Sylvie were no different. I enjoyed their sarcastic banter after Sylvie got over Creed betrayal. Wit several things going on in the story, it did not take away from it; it made it better... I will give out no spoilers but it was a great thing when Knight hired Creed to partner up little 5'2'' Slyvie!

I absolutely loved Knight and checked Kristen Ashley's website constantly to know when this book was to be published. A word of warning that my review contains spoilers because my issues with the book were integral plot points.
Initially, I was happily surprised that the author was brave enough to not only write a pimp as a hero, but in Creed would show how an ex-prostitute could evolve into a kickass, strong woman who was worthy of a happily ever after. However, the clear intimations of Sylvie's past as a prostitute in the beginning of the book are completely ignored at the end. I really do not know how she would have supported herself after killing the drug dealer guy and before learning how to shoot guns and defend herself from her old partner if not for selling herself. It really felt to me that the author chickened out and decided that she really did not want to go there and have the couple hash out the reality of Sylvie being an ex-prostitute. Overall, the book could have been a big statement for redemption and that bad things in a woman's past did not doom her to a tainted life forever; Ashley did this for the male perspective in Lady Luck by having the hero be a released convict.
This leads to the other huge stumbling block to my enjoyment of the book. Why did no one report any of the terrible things that happened years before in Kentucky to the authorities? And why the hell would Creed or the suicidal gang-raped girl have ever been released? Seriously, Sylvie's father and co. would have been idiots to have released the girl who did not think Sylvie's happiness was contingent on silence which at least gave a tenuous reason for them allowing Creed to live. So much easier and less risky to have killed them. I guess it is because I am in law school and am much more aware of the legal aspect of things, but I think any normal person is also going to question why no one reported anything. Regardless if the local cops are dirty, all of the main crimes, namely kidnapping, are federal ones and the FBI would have been all over this.
Additionally, it drove me crazy that Creed was so obsessed with waiting until Sylvie was legal to have sex with her. If he really cared about her maturity level and felt it was a personal decision to not sleep with her until he was sure she was ready, I would have been completely fine with the insistence to wait until she was 18. In the book they have sex the minute she was born 18 years before instead of after a determined decision of her new maturity and place the entire onus of the decision on legality. However, in Kentucky the age of consent is 16! I have already admitted to being a law student and privy to more legal info than the average reader, but also having grown up in KY I know it was common knowledge, in my high school at least, that jailbait ended at 16. Guys were well aware of this fact since they liked dating sophomores when seniors.
After this semi-scathing review, it would appear that I did not enjoy reading the book when it did have its good points. After I forced myself to suspend my disbelief on the incompetent villains and made myself ignore the glaring problems, I appreciated the natural tone of dialogue and interplay of the characters. I read Kristen Ashley books for the focus on the couple and the way she has them speak like real people. However, all of her other books share these positives and they frustrated me much less, so I wanted to warn readers to go into this expecting unrealistic behavior to explain the forced separation of the main couple and just go with it instead of letting it make your brain hurt.

Creed was an excellent read but it was very heart wrenching at times. Creed and Sylvie fell In love as kids and were planning on running away together until her father does some truly terrible things to creed that force him to leave Sylvie without her knowing why he left. And then Sylvies father puts her in an equally terrible situation. They are separated for way too many years for my taste and finally find each other again, only to have vast past between them that lead to a very long reconciliation. I truly loved this story and the love between creed and Sylvie and all they were forced to endure made me smile, laugh, and cry sometimes. This is the second series by this author I have read and I love everything she has written so far. I loved Sylvie and her strength and I love how creed loved her. And the love scenes weren't too bad themselves...they were really hot! This is a book i will read over and over.

Creed and Sylvie endured horrible childhoods but together they were stronger. Creed and Sylvie met when they were 11 and 6 and feel in love, but when he didn't show up as promised her world caved in. Meanwhile he was misled into thinking someone else could give her a better life. 16 years later when Creed finds his Sylvie again she's not the same girl she is strong and tough and doesn't want to let him back in. Neither has forgotten the other. This was a dark book but the epilogue- Amazing

“Born to love you, baby,” he repeated. “Die lovin’ you, my Sylvie.” -Creed
How could you not fall in love with a man who says that? I absolutely love this book. And I absolutely love and adore Creed and Sylvie as a couple. They have the kind of love that you dream of finding one day. What they have is a magical love that is born out of innocence in the pure hearts of a frighten six year old girl and an eleven year old boy who becomes her savior and protector. They are half of the same whole, born to love each other from the moment they met. When life separates them they no longer feel whole but the love they have never goes away. All through the story you feel the love between Creed and his Sylvie, and the pain and anguish they had to endure. It's a beautiful love story full of passion and angst and love so strong that conquers all.

This is the second book in the Unfinished Heroes series. As the author says, this series is a little different than her other series in that it is about the “anti-hero”. Knight is a much better anti-hero than Sylvie as he is basically a pimp (although that word is never used). Sylvie works for Knight sometimes so I guess that is where her “anti-hero-ness” comes in. Oh, and this series has more of the smexy stuff than her other series and by that I mean it is more graphic and…hmmm how to say this…more adventurous? We will go with that…more adventurous. This story is about Sylvie and Creed. They were childhood sweethearts and were torn apart right when it should have gotten good for them.
Throughout the story we get snippets of how Sylvie and Creed started. I actually think those snippets were my favorite part of the entire book. Usually, I hate when authors do that and I can’t wait to get through passages like that, but I could. not. wait. to read those sections. We get to see when Sylvie and Creed meet when she is six and he is eleven and get to read about most of the major events in their young lives.
Anyway, they were separated when they were young and it was tragic for both of them, and by that I don’t mean that their little hearts were broken (although they most certainly were), I mean that they were both abused/tortured is terrible ways. Neither has known what the other went through and they haven’t seen each other for sixteen years. That is pretty much the beginning of the book.
Those are my favorite parts of the book. I loved reading about little Sylvie and little Creed. I think my absolute favorite is when Creed realizes he likes Sylvie but she is still too young to be with him. And I loved hearing about the tragedy that took them apart. That sounds weird because they were both seriously abused and almost killed, but I liked that it wasn’t some stupid “I thought they would be better off without me and so I left”. It was well thought out most people would react the way that Sylvie and Creed did.
What I didn’t like about the book was the rest of the storyline. There was a little drama at the beginning with Knight needing some help and a little at the end with Hawk Delgado (from Mystery Man, whom for the record I love, love, love). Besides that, nothing much happens and it is all about Creed and Sylvie working through their demons and I am sorry but it was b-o-r-i-n-g! I actually skimmed a couple pages and I NEVER do that.
The other thing I didn’t like was that Sylvie was too much of a KA man character. She dressed like a guy and talked like a commando. Yuck. But I get that it was part of what happened to her to make her hard, I just didn’t like that she spoke like every other KA hero. You with me? (That is a joke. That is Sylvie’s phrase in this book.)
As I said in a previous post, I pretty much read this one to get to the next one. Raid is supposed to be out February 28th and I am getting a little worried that it won’t be released then…but I guess I can’t complain because it popped up on my radar unexpectedly. There is a couple free chapters on the author’s website.
P.S. Don’t google “Creed by Kristen Ashley” images. It is not PG…or PG 13…or even R…in face, it is probably XXX. Now that I said that you are probably all going to do that, but I am telling you…just don’t. You can’t un-see that.

Saying that I am a HUGE fan of Kristen Ashley does not even come close to the way I feel about her writing!! Every freaking book of hers has blown me away and left me wanting more!! Sure, there are Kristen Ashley stories that I like more than others, but that is based solely on the characters!! I am definitely addicted and I hope that I continue to be.
I think it is a true sign of how AWESOME a writer is when you can continue to reread their books and it is like reading them for the first time and this always happens for me with her books. Kristen Ashley has a way of writing her characters unlike anything I have ever read. Her strong, loving, arrogant, possessive, dirty~talking ALPHA males suck me(hehe!!)into the stories along with their usually kick~ass, sweet, loving, funny females on the way to their HEA. And I am so happy to say that Creed is no different.
OMG...Creed hit me with such an emotional punch that it had my heart aching through the journey between Sylvie and Creed's past and present. I LOVED Sylvie immediately and of course of I LOVED Knight but I was nervous about Creed. I should have known better, Kristen has a way of totally making you hate the hero and then has the ability to make you fall totally head-over-heels in love with him. And, for me, this continued with Creed. He definitely is one of my favorites heroes of hers. Just absolutely loved him!!! *sigh* The necklaces, the tat, his kid's names, and his dirty~talkin mouth. *sigh* Knight had some great moments and I just loved seeing him again!! And then there was Sylvie. Definitely my favorite heroine of hers. She was kick~ass but she was also sweet, caring, loving, and funny. Loved her!! Such tortured souls that I needed desperately to have their HEA together. Kristen just knocked me out with Sylvie and Creed and their story stayed with me long after I was finished.
I was on an emotional roller coaster with this book and I was worn out by the end!! But, oh, how I didn't want it to end!! I loved seeing Sylvie and Creed in the past, but I was biting my nails as Sylvie grew closer and closer to her 18th birthday!! BEST EPILOGUE EVER!!*sigh*
I can never get enough of Kristen Ashley's writing and I cannot wait for Raid's book next!! Thank you, Kristen, for another book that took me to a world that I didn't want to leave and can't wait to return to!! Creed absolutely has a place in my keeper pile, right next to Knight, to be reread. BEST OF THE BEST rating.

I was just speechless at the end of this book. I love Kristen Ashley, a self admitted Rock Chick addict, but this book was awesome. The authors notes say that for a while she thought about titling the book, "Sylvie" and I can understand why. Two very strong characters in this book. I loved the history of the characters, I loved their journey to be together in the present, I even loved the heartbreak of the secondary characters because it added to the love story that was Creed and Sylvie. Just an amazing, wonderful story. Kristen Ashley knocked me on behind with this one, and I'm so glad!

SPOILERS!
I'm a huge fan of Kristen Ashley. Saying that I also need to say that I want more from her when she writes a book. She is capable of it so what gives on this latest book? It was a huge let down. I had no expectations starting this book other than hoping Knight would be in this book somewhere (he was and I enjoyed the parts he was in). Creed comes in the story as already established in the heroines life for a month though she was not aware of his being there. This made me wonder why the book didn't start with HIS getting the start of this book. Him finding he was to be looking for Knight into his head team, oh and one was THE love of his life! This seemed like a big miss on the authors part because I was never vested in his character and I think this is the reason why. He just shows up and...it was just ODD. The threat to Knights business was just 'meh' when it was resolved. It's as if it was just a vehicle so there was something going on other than the Creed and Sylvie part of the story.
I read her group on Goodreads. I have to wonder with all the pressure from all her fans there if this dispels her ability to take the needed time to write as she has done in the past. Fans of her there are daily asking for release dates. JMO of course but I do think that is a lot of pressure to work under. I'd rather wait several months or longer for a really wonderful Kristen Ashely book than one like this one where I felt the story was no where near as well written as so many of her earlier books.

Ms. Ashley has, once again, woven a story that really drew me in and kept me entranced. Sylvie was a woman in desperate need to be rescued no matter how hard she fought it. And the patient Tucker Creed was just the man to rescue her.
With a seemingly unending supply of patience, Creed goes about systematically breaking down Sylvie' s defenses until she has no choice but to respond.
And Ms. Ashley' s ability to make their back story as troubled as it was without making them both seem maudlin was done exceptionally well.
I also really love her comprehensive endings. There's HEA and there's Ms. Ashley' s HEA. Take a bow.

I am so in love with Creed!! I didn't think it was possible but this book is even better then Knight.
Creed and Slyvie's story really broke my heart! I'm not even ashamed to say that I had tears in my eyes many times throughout this book. What happened to both of them is just sick and I can't believe all they've been through.
I can not wait to read the next book in this series! If you haven't read this series yet, please do!
“I’m not what you want, Sylvie, I get that because it’s the same for you as it is for me. I’m not what you want ‘cause I’m what you need.”
I am so in love with Creed!! I didn't think it was possible but this book is even better then Knight.

After surviving childhood together with no one but each other Sylvie and Creed had planned on running away on Sylvie's eighteenth birthday and never looking back. But Creed doesn't show, he disappears leaving Sylvie to suffer six years of hell before she could escape. But sixteen years after his betrayal she wakes up and he is back...
As Annie, Fran and Ang can tell you I have spent the last couple of days on messenger doing a manic countdown to when this came out, searching the store every five minutes to see if it was in yet, I was that excited. I imagine that they are quite relieved that that experience is over now (until the next Kristen Ashley release anyways!) instead they are getting messages about how awesome Creed was and how I am now going to find a real life version and have loads of sex and babies with him (if you know anyone, you know where I am!), because I LOVED this book!
Reason number one why I love this book:
CREED- I adored him, not only was he sexy, rugged and totally badass (with a hot ass) all he needed was a piercing and I would have been a puddle on he floor, he was also kinda sweet as well. That, and he knew all the best uses for massage oil *fans self* I have to say, I may have preferred Knight a tiny bit more (maybe it was the daddy thing!) but Creed still pushed all my buttons.
Reason number two why I love this book:
SYLVIE- She wasn't your typical Kristen Ashley heroine, she was almost as bad ass as Creed! But I liked that KA has mixed it up a little and created Sylvie, she was funny and kick ass and definitely one of my favourite heroines.
Reason number three why I love this book:
THE FLASHBACKS- I loved the flashbacks, showing Creed and Sylvie growing up together and how close their bond grew and changed as they got older, it was really beautiful. The emotions in the flashbacks I thought were even more poignant the what they were going through in the present, but maybe that is because you know that tragedy isn't far away. Either way I think the flashbacks add an extra dimension to the book and really give an emotional depth to Sylvie and Creed's relationship.
Reason number four why I love this book:
SEX SEX SEX!- Although this for me isn't erotica, more like just bordering erotic romance, there is no doubt that the sex in this knicker dampingly hawt. It is rough, raw and filled with sixteen years of emotion. A warning though this book has ass play in it, I thought that was one of the hottest scenes in the book, but readers sometimes like a warning first!
My final reason why I love this book:
SYLVIE & CREED- I have said them separately, but this book is all about them coming together and as a couple I think they are fracking fantastic. They belong together; they have off the charts chemistry and are so damn sweet together it makes my teeth ache.
So there a five perfectly good reasons to read this book, do what are you still doing here?
P.S. Annie, Creed (and Knight) have been claimed by me, I have got my eyes on you and your harem pinching ways!

Where do I start?? I think so far this is my favorite book in this series. I love it when the 2 main characters have a history together. You get to see what their lives were years ago, now and in the future.
Creed and Sylvie have known each other since Creed was 11 and Sylvie was 6.They both come from a small town. Creeds father died, and his mother was an alcoholic. Sylvie's mom left due to her dad's affair and her stop mom also was an alcoholic. When ever their parents would HAVE WORDS as they would call it. They would meet up with each other. They would talk about how their life will be and just enjoy each others company.
Every year on Sylvie's birthday they would meet at their peer and Creed would give her a necklace. On her 18th birthday he was 23 he took her for the first time. They made plans to run off together the same day. Sylvie's dad interfered and their plans didn't happen.
16 years later Sylvie is working for Knight Sebring. Yeah the hot Knight. She is pulled in on a job and who is she suppose to partner with? CREED!! yeah. Knight knew about Sylvie's past. He knew about Creed just didn't know his name. Sylvie didn't want to work with Creed. Creed wanted to get past their past so they can move on with their lives together. In order to do this they had to work together. Sylvie was hesitant but agreed. Sylvie agreed alright by attacking Creed and making love to him if you would call it that. Sylvie went through some dark stuff to a man her dad sold her to. Creed felt something was off he was going to get to the bottom of it.
Once Creed laid out what happened to him at the hands of her dad she went crazy, and then realized it was and will always be Creed. Creed and Sylvie has lots of s*** to get out and lay on the table. The fact that he has 2 kids and named them the names Sylvie wanted to name their kids. The fact that her dad took what could of been their piece of heaven. Only for them to find it 16 yrs later.
I feel like I have given a lot of the book away already. You have to read it to get the rest. I can tell you that they do end up being together and they have their piece of heaven and every year they go back to where it all began. They show Creeds 2 kids and they show their kids they have together where it all began.
I loved this book. I haven't found 1 book that I haven't like that Kristen has written. I highly recommend her books. Especially this series.

Sylvie is a badass in a pretty package. She lives her life the only way she knows how. Balls to the Walls!
Creed is her "One that got away" and she is not terribly happy when he walks back in to her life. It takes some convincing but Creed makes her see they are meant to be together.
After she learns why he left in the first place she deals with nightmares of epic proportions.
I love the danger element to this series. Its not just roses and diamonds and happily ever after. It's danger, guns and some seriously steamy sex.

Man, I love me some Kristen Ashley reading, it makes me joyful. I absolutely adored this book because it was different than the other Ashley books that I have read. First, the other books that I have read by Ashley have always had the couple meet and a relationship builds from there. However, this plot has a different twist because Sylvie and Creed meet during childhood, were separated, and then brought back together again. Also, Ashley presented us with a different type of woman in this book. Sylvie is a kick-butt kind of woman who can fight her own battles and doesn't need a man to do it for her. But her man, Creed who is so sexy, returns, how could she not want him by her side.
Creed is the ultimate hero in my eyes. He is Sylvie's heart, her hero, her best friend, and her protector, oh and he is super hot! Their background story is a heart-wrencher and left me as the reader emotionally drained. It made me want the absolute best for them because of all that they have been through. However, that background made them who they are, how they built their life, survived their life, and how glorious it was when they met again.
I loved the flashbacks to their childhood and the moments that they spent together. I actually craved them so that I could get to know the characters more. I also loved that Creed was an honorable boy, teenager, and man while watching Sylvie grow up. He protected her, loved her, but knew that she was too young to start a serious relationship until she was ready.
BRILLIANT, BRILLIANT, BRILLIANT!

Creed and Sylvie's story is I guess you could almost call a Second Chance Romance. You read their story in both past and present. It would be an Unfinished Heroes story with out Knight and Anya and the rest of the gang.
I am excited to get my hands on book three!!

I can't decide which one is my favorite. I love the story in this book. It's raw, emotional, and true. I love the way Kristen's men in her books are so honest but soft where it needs to be.
Creed and Sylvie had suffered so much and lost 16yrs. Thanks to her wonderful father. Creed comes into her life and it is blown up! Creed gets Sylvie to understand the way things are and works with to her to get her back to him. She comes around and is not regretting it at all. Her life gets better, their past is worked out and she lets him take back what was taking from her. Emotionally, and sexually.

The book started out more adventure/mystery but then in the middle it did a 180 and it was all about relationships and family, with a little bit of adventure again at the end. I've always liked then the hero stayed all the way true to the heroine, but it this story, he was married and had 2 kids. It was a total turn off for me until I read further into the story and understood how much the heroine's ghost was in his marriage. So this was one of the few exceptions that I became okay with it.
It was a good book with lots of emotion.

I enjoyed Creed and Sylvie's backstory and thought that KA did a great job of blending present day and their past. I had a hard time with the way they reconnected. Considering Tucker Creed is a PI; in all the years he never tried to find her? They were only one state away. Anyway, I did enjoy their love story. If I didnt believe in KA's work; it may have been hard to push threw to the end but knowing that she always brings it home was the only reassurance I needed. I enjoyed the book and will continue to support any KA project!

Sylvie Bissenette is a badass alpha female who carries a gun, talks trash and kicks ass. Sylvie works for Knight Sebring protecting the girls' in his stable. She keeps her life private and has only ever loved one man, Tucker Creed.
Sylvie met Tucker Creed when she was six years old fleeing from the ugliness in her home and into an eleven year old Tucker Creed whose home is as ugly as hers. They become fast friends and each other's safe haven. They rely on each other for the love and support that isn't found in their homes.
They meet at the pier which is their place. It's a place where they do cannonballs and eat frozen snickers bars. Their love for each other grows with each year and every moment they are together.
Tucker buys Sylvie a peridot pendant each year for her birthday with dreams that one day she will be old enough to truly be his.
"You, sittin' on the end of the pier. Your sixteenth birthday. You got the same thing every year for ten years but you acted every time like I didn't hand you some shit necklace but the moon. I looked at you and it hit me it was you. It hit me that it could be no one else but you. You were born to be mine."
The couple decide that on Sylvie's eighteenth birthday they will flee their current lives and build one together. Outside forces tear the couple apart leaving each with a skewed perception of what happened to the other.
Sixteen years later, Tucker Creed is a badass alpha male who is called to work for Knight. Knight teams the two up and they soon learn what changed the course of their lives.
Creed and Sylvie repair their relationship and waste no time planning their future and kicking ass every step of the way!

CREED is an emotional, at times gut renching read. Tucker and Slyvie are good people who have bad things happen to them, though no fault of their own. They share a deep love that I admired. Tucker is a hot, bossy, alpha male and totally in love and committed to Sylvie. Sylvie learns to be a strong, independent woman. I loved the characters and the story. Kristen Ashley writes a compelling, sexually charged love story.

I feel like a broken record when it comes to Kristen Ashley's books, big fat 5 stars! Can't get enough of her writing. Love everything about Creed and Sylvie. But I especially love how much of a badass Sylvie is! People totally underestimate her because she's so petite, but she packs a mean punch! But sadly she became this way because of a horrid past. Same thing with Tucker Creed, only he took on the burden of a 6 year Sylvie when he was 11, and they become best friends and loved each other from then on. Only to be drug apart when Sylvie finally turns 18. Creed finds her years later to see that she's not the same Sylvie. They struggle with the past and that is heart breaking as it unfolds. As I said before, in other reviews for Kristen, don't hesitate to buy this book, because its definitely worth it!

I purchased this book from the other website it's sold on. the store you take too long to post it, you lost quite a bit of sales because Kristen Ashley fans are rabid and they do not want to wait!
I cried from beginning to end in this book. Both Creed and Sylvie go thru so much to be together, their childhood is blighted by horrible parents. They cling to each other as only children can and they fall in love as only best friends can. On the verge of running away together Creed disappears and leaves Sylvie alone, she is then sold to the local drug dealer and is kept as his plaything for six years, before she can set herself free. For 16yrs she has no idea what happened to Creed all she knows is that he left her when she needed him the most.
When their lives finally reconnect Sylvie is one hard, self protecting woman. She is shattered in many ways. Creed is in for the battle of his life to win Sylvie back. I didn't know what to expect as far as Creed's reason for leaving, what I did know was that the author needed to come up with something I could totally see myself forgiving him for. I did forgive him, but one thing still bothered me, he should have checked up to make sure that what was promised was actually done. After finishing the book and thinking about it, I kind of understood why he didn't, but I wish this point had been brought up.
For fans of Knight and Anya, they do show up in the book. This was a wonderful read, to me much better than Knight. My all time favorite Kristen Ashley h has been Dusty Holliday and she has been for a very long time, move over Dusty the #1 Slot now belongs to Sylvie!

This book I finished in less than a day bc I couldn't put it down (just like Knight). I loved the characters and loved the story line. Sylvie and Creed HAD/HAVE lots of chemistry and I enjoyed reading about them. It got a little confusing at first when it switched gears on me and went back to their past but once I realized what was going on I was great with it. It helped define the story.

Hmmm...I was not sure how to rate this. I was torn between the 3 and 4 star rating. I finally settled for a 3 because, honestly, I did not care for Sylvie. I tried to, but I could not connect with her. Sorry KA! I adored Creed, but Sylvie was a bit too much for me. Too rough around the edges. I could not relate to her and did not enjoy the tough girl persona. I completely understand why and how she became hard and cynical, but I still could not connect. With that said...the back-story behind Creed and Sylvie was well thought out. The loves scenes were great. And Creed brought out a softer side of Sylvie in the end (which I liked). Sylvie's personality really did dominate the book, but Creed's love for her was a quiet and subtle undertone that shaped her and the story.

Oh my God she did it again. KA has this unique skill to deepen into her characters, in their relationships in a way that you never find in another novel like that. She is able to catch you in a net that does not leave you till the end. You are literally part of the book you cannot stay away from the plot, there is no way you can remain objective. You jump into a new world, that normally you even do not approve in your daily life, maybe the hero is just an alpha protector or even an unfinished hero, it doesn’t matter you are captured, caught in her spell, you enter this new world becoming a part of it. Now I say something strong but I believe many of us women here can learn so much from the way these characters love each other and how a safe relationship is about. Moreover you never have enough of her books you are always looking for the next one. The only one thing I’m wondering since the beginning I start reading her books is why they do not translate her books in italian.

Creed everyone warned me that Knight was the KA fans least favorite but that Creed would NOT dissapoint. Well they were wrong. LOL and yes I went in with an open mind but still NO. How does homegirl aka Sylvie forgive so quickly!? Yes her character is portrayed as a badass but when it comes to her man (that left her BTW) she just obliges with him when he rudely takes her in the bed. Girl Bye! After ALL that time I do not understand how they were so easily able to go back to the way things use to be (without explanation).

I love Kristen's books and this one was great as well but I'll admit - the way it flipped between current and past made it a bit confusing and at times hard to keep up with. However, this could be my fault as I have a habit of devouring her books (having read several twice). When time permits I will re-read Creed and I'm sure I'll fall more in love with him.

4.5 stars .........as always with KA it was awesome
HELLLLLLOOOOOO AGAIN KA FANS!!!!!.......big full arm wave to all ;)
Welcome to my review of the 2nd book in the UNFINISHED HEROES series. The ride began with KNIGHT & continued the on this roller coaster with CREED!!!
As with KNIGHT I was given the great opportunity to BETA read Creed for Kristen .
Let me start by telling u all that I have NEVER heard Kit more excited & passionate about a book or the characters as she was with Creed & Sylvie !......NEVER !!!!!
SO my expectations for this book were very high ........& I was NOT disappointed!!!
Kristen has really spiced it up & shocked us with A LOT of aspects in this book!!!
Not only was the content darker & more intense than most of her past work but WOW!! HOLY CRAP BALLS did she shock the crap out of me with her heroine SYLVIE!!!! I mean WTF a strong, ass kicking, slightly crazy female who drinks & swears like a sailor!!!...... any1 who knows me knows i dont mind a little bit of bad language LOL
I LOVE a strong female lead character!!! Sylvie is a woman who can keep up this the boys in the "kick ass" department. She throws attitude around as easily as I throw m & m's at annoying people at the movies. But there is soooo much more to Sylvie than her kick assness........(ok that's sooo not a word lol but u get the picture) She has a heart of gold & a past that will break your heart into itty bitty pieces.
Now the "norm" in a Kristen Ashley book is to have a smokin hot alpha male that makes us swoon & want to drop our "fictional panties". He usually swoops in & saves our pretty little heroine from some horrible fate or even from herself .This is the reason we HANG OUT for her books. NO-ONE writes a hot alpha or a edge-of-your-seat plot like my girl Kit!!!! Right???!!!!
This is still the case with CREED But the focus if this story is NOT the badass hotness of the hero !!! Although Creed is heavenly hotness :). The beauty of this book is in the Flash back scenes where we get to experience Creed & Sylvies past , It's in discovering where they both came from & what they have overcome to get where they are & GEEEEZ what they overcame BLEW MY FREAKING MIND !!!!
The beauty is in watching Creed break down Sylvies emotional walls & them getting over the past & building a relationship.
I must admit watching 2 alpha characters go up against each other & the fights they get into was 1 of the highlights for me :)
The story is very intense right from the start then at about ½ way through the book we get almost lulled into a sense of security . Thing seem to slow down & get a little happy & almost soft as we watch Sylvie & Creed's relationship get more solid. Now at 1st I thought "ohhh this is nice.....but where did the bad guys all go ?" .......Then all of a sudden BAAAMMM !!!!! She did it to me again lol Kristen likes to surprise us & by having that quiet part in the middle there the impact of the ..ummmm ...intense parts was sooo much more incredible for me .
There is a certain dream scene in this book that is very dark!!! It made my heart race & I found myself holding my breath!!! THIS SCENE WAS INCREDIBLE WELL WRITTEN & I THINK SOME OF KRISTENS VERY BEST WORK!!!!
I loved that she took her EROTIC scenes to a deeper, darker level in this book & really pushed her own boundaries as an author.
I know there will be some KA fans out there that will prefer her other series to this 1 & that's ok :) but I also can GARRENTEE that some of u out there are going to crave more of the darker side of KRISTEN ASHLEY & I know she is more than willing to give it to you :)
I hope you enjoy this as much as I did :)
Happy reading ladies & gents

Ok...I love this book so much! It makes you go through so many emotions like you're on the biggest rollercoaster ever!! I laughed! I cried! My stomach was in knots more than once! I don't want to give away any spoilers, but I just have to say that Creed was incredible and Kristen Ashley has such a unique writing technique. Her way with dialogue is so different from other writers, and it WORKS so well!! You really feel like you are going through the emotions with the characters, right along with them, as they happen!! And I totally LOVE how she brings characters from some of her other series into her books!! So with all that said, I HIGHLY recommend this book and promise it is worth every penny spent!! Just Amazing!!

I just finished creed & I'm sitting here crying! Every moment of reading this book I felt like I was watching a movie & real life play out. Everything about this book is wonderful, I love Sylvie she is so strong & so bad a#s. And Creed what a man. Who wouldn't want a man like creed & his undying love. I can't say enough how much I loved this book. It's one that will stay with me for a very, very long time.

Creed is not your usual 'sweet couple' book... it's not you typical girl meets boy young adult love drama... it's not even the normal overplayed hero wins over heroin with true love blah blah...no,no,no... what CREED is... is a representation of the fundamental laws of the true kind of soul-mate love... the kind that latches deep into your soul and holds you there for the rest of your life... pure, raw, unadulterated love and passion...

This book was awesome. A great read and a love story full of ups and downs making the ending so much more special and worth fighting for. I loved how she incorporated some of the characters from Knight in this book since I loved Knight so much. Not a book to be missed.

Kristen Ashley NEVER disappoints...especially love her choice of strong hot males that love their women..not try to control them but protect them and let them be who they are and her equally STRONG women who know who they are..creed and Silvie are a great team..true love always will find a way..

I despise stories told through flashbacks. This story is even worse b/c they are not in any kind of order. If you want to dig through the swamp of tidbits of info every other page then you'll find a moving h/H and a great HEA. This book was frustrating as hell. The author didn't have the plotting skills to do this story justice.

KA does it again... I enjoyed Creed more so than Knight. Having said that, I really loved Knight in Creed's story. KA shows a a raw and emotional side of Knight that had me crying my eyes out. Creed's love for Sylvie was enduring. Both of their suffering was heart wrenching. We're the love scenes erotic? Not so much the terminology I would use to describe them... But, we're they HOT?? Hell yes they burned down the bed, the sheets, the couch, the wall etc... KA never disappoints me, loved this one too...

I absolutely LOVE Creed and everything that he stands for. This book was superior. It was Hot, sexy, steamy, scary and overall wonderful. I am so glad Creed showed Sylvie the bad can totally out weigh the bad.

This was an absolutely amazing story. I love KA's books. Although the Unfinished Heroes gets off to a rocky start (Knight was not my favorite story), Creed was absolutely wonderful. Highly recommend.

I can't get enough of these books. The dialogue is great and the hero is my dream man. They are witty and the sex scenes are hot. I enjoyed Knight a bit more but but Creed was good too. Even made me teary eyed because i was so into the characters.

Okay, I read this series out of order. Starting with Raid then Knight and finishing with Creed. I have to say that this was my favorite out of the three. Their story is so heart felt, I felt happy, sad and overjoyed of their happiness together. Absolutely amazing story, something that will stick with me forever!

I've read the majority of KA's books with the exception of a few in her fantasy series. With that said, it's hard to critique her in an unbiased POV. However, I have to go by what genre she was targeting here, erotica. Usually, I don't end up liking these types of books because there isn't much of a plot and it's constant sex scene after sex scene without any building of chemistry or that sexual tension. BUT, the reality is, people who read that genre want just that. Quick and dirty. Well, I just don't think KA met the mark of what those genre of readers would want, and at that, I'm a fan of her and would still rate this at the very bottom of my list.
As an erotica novel, it was too long and took too much time to get through. At first, I was trucking along great and thought okay, this is going to actually be erotica with a plot. Wow. BUT THEN, it coasted. Another reviewer wrote that the book "ended" halfway through. I have to agree. The problem they were working to solve, was solved with half of the book to go. Afterward, it kind of became a "I love you/love you back" dialogue between Creed and Sylvie. That got old pretty fast. I personally, got to a point and thought "so...why should I keep reading?" If you can read something just for the sex scenes, more power to you, but even those became few and far between and were still somewhat repetitive, so it's like there's no goal in mind and you keep reading the same scene over and over. I got REALLY tired from reading this book. With the exception of Knight, I've never wanted to stop reading and not finish a KA book like I did with Creed.
I had a major problem in Knight with not liking the characters. I just couldn't stand them. (Side note: Some reviewers had an issue with the whole profession thing with Knight in his book, as well as in Creed, but the author basically says this isn't a normal kind of hero so you have to be open-minded. If you can't broaden your thinking, then don't read this book or series. That's just being realistic.) IN CREED, the characters were pretty well-developed and likable. Sylvie gets some getting used to because SHE's the one, not Creed, that is more of the "unlikely hero." She's crass, blunt, and may come off a little more slutty in the beginning but KA eventually shows her softer side.
I always love KA's alpha-male-philosophical-gut-wrenching-one-liners but unfortunately, she was beating a dead horse after so many "talks" between Creed and Sylvie. KA, I know you have an amazing talent with words but you don't need to use everything in your arsenal in one book.
OVERALL, the dialogue was great and the flashbacks were sewn in expertly but she drug out unnecessary details and points that you become too exhausted by the halfway mark. I can forgive an occasional detail-overload but it went straight to overkill mid-book. There were plenty of chapters that could be taken completely out and it would have been like you didn't blink. Editing goes a long way.

This book was another amazing installment from Kristen Ashley loved almost the whole thing! Nothing beats first love like these two did all thru everything that went on. I don't want to put in a spoiler but to give a gift every year even tho you didn't think you were ever going to see that person again that is just wonderful!

The sex scenes weren't good, and the plot was just meh. Sometimes it seems that Kristen is trying to outdo herself on making the heroines as tragic and over the top as she can. I am a big fan, but I didn't like this one.

Creed & Sylvie.. Just hot
But so much more...
Once again Ms. Ashley brought it home with the 2nd installment to this series. To say that we KA fans & fans of this series were losing our minds waiting for this book, would be an understatement. I mean we were all literally STALKING the internet waiting for this book to be released.
It was certainly well worth the wait I must say. I truly enjoyed this one and could not be moved from my laptop.
It took me a bit, but not too long to really become entralled with this story though. I was not sure how I was feeling about Sylvie. I like her. She's a strong cookie, but I wasn't sure how I was feeling overall about her purpose or place within this story. And Creed, I was blown away and conflicted and eager to know why he and Sylvie suffered and was ultimately torn apart for so many years. Once I admitted my eargerness to know the deal, shortly it was revealed thus began my sobbing, screaming, laughing, heart pumping into my throat reactions, concerning this book.
I was suprised that we got to see alot more of Knight in this one than I thought we would. And there were a few heartfelt, heartwarming just OMG! scenes involving he and Sylvie. I loved this. And I loved Anya in this as well. But ultimately Knight will always just leave me beside myself..
The reason why this one gets 4 instead of 5 stars from me is because I felt the issues that brought Sylvie & Creed's story to the forefront in the first place (their jobs) was glossed over and ended very anti-climatic to me.
Which was a bummer for me cos this is what dominated the story for the 1st 11 or so chapters. And Knight's brother Nick??? WTHeck happened there? And Why? And of course the build up to what led to Creed being Sylvie's first was great, but when it actually happened I was like "Really? That's it?" Yeah, that left me wanting big time.
But yeah there were things in there that I felt needed to be a bit tighter within the story to give a little more balanced feel to it.
But I do love their story. It was beautiful, it was frightening at times. Heartbreaking. But over all just a beautiful, spiritual journey. And I loved it. The growth that you see happening with Sylvie as an individual and a woman in love was done superbly I think. And the responsibility you see on Creed's shoulders, how he handles and tackles their demons and not just on his own I thought shown through beautifully. Another great installment.
So.. READ IT!!
I HIGHLY recommend this read.

I have seriously become a huge fan of Kristen Ashley! I have read all of books and seriously stalk her in Facebook to get news of what's coming next and when.
I loved this book just as much as the others. I like how the characters are damaged but totally deserving of their own happiness.
I also love the fact that I start reading and cannot stop til the end. It was a beautiful day outside today and I had planned on yard work. Started the book at about 10 am and just finished at 11pm:) I didn't even look at the yard.
Keep 'em coming and I'll keep buying 'em. Totally worth a sunny Saturday spent reading!

If you like "50 Shades of Gray", chances are you'll like this book. I am not a huge fan of gratuitus sex, so it wasn't awesome for me. It had a good story line, about a couple who were childhood sweethearts and reunite in adulthood. Each has pasts involving domestic violence, and the story lines involves getting past those demons. Although, I would say the majority of the book was vivid descriptions of sexual acts. Whatever tickles your fancy...

I generally like Kristen Ashley's books and have read most of them but this was the first one I got fed up with and just stopped. Of course the sex scenes are pretty hot, but I got that annoyed with Sylvie when she went from being a bad ass to a bloody mother figure. It was crap and didn't remain true to her character. It's nice when people grow in stories but she actually made me want to punch myself, dishing out saccharine sweet advice that sounded like something she borrowed from the church of Holy Friggin Morals, she didn't even have a sense of humour when she was pedalling that s*** to the kids, she was serious!! I still like this author and her other work just not this one.

I have read at least 15 of Kristen Ashley's books and I have to admit I was very disappointed with this one. I usually love her books. She is a great story teller and I love her characters. I loved the characters in this book but I felt like it was really redundant. The story basically comes to a conclusion about 1/3 rd of the way throught the book and the rest is a repeat of the same theme. If you're a Kristen Ashley fan and have read a lot of her other books this might satisfy, but if this is your first I suggest you start with one of the Dream Man series or Colorado Mountain Series. Even the Rock Chik Series. I did love Knight. I wish this was as good. Perhaps the next will be better. I still love your book Kristen :)
