The best of The Three series! It made me laugh, cry, and wish I had my very own supernatural mate! Read the other two first, they are amazing, but be sure to finish this series with this book!

I loved this series and this book is great (have not finished yet but close). The love, friendship between all of the wolfs, vampires and humans leaves a good feeling. The love and hope for something better between Abel and Lilah was awesome! I don't write reviews but some of the other reviews did not impress and I needed to add my opinion. I love this author's work and this book was one of her best...good read.

When I first started this book, I did so without rereading the previous two books in the series. While I remembered much of what occurred in Until the Sun Falls from the Sky and With Everything I Am, it was the details regarding the series’ Immortal War storyline that escaped my memory. So with much aggrievement (yeah, because it’s such a hardship to read a KA book…LMAO), I went back and reread books one and two and am so glad I did – and not just because it’s been a few months since I treated myself to her writing, but because there was so much that occurred that I had forgotten.

As with all of her books, Ms. Ashley writes characters that feel real to me regardless of the genre of the book. Like the previous books in The Three series, Wild and Free features a paranormal hero, Abel, and a human heroine, Delilah. Despite it being a paranormal romance, she manages to give their tale a decidedly contemporary feel such that I suspect non-paranormal romance readers would find themselves swept up into the story. Taking all of that into consideration, KA managed to take Wild and Free one step further with both the paranormal AND the contemporary genres by making Abel a vampire werewolf hybrid and Delilah a biker bitch. And just like the previous couples, Delilah is the perfect mate for Abel because her being raised in the life meant that she accepted him as he was and had an innate understanding of Abel’s alpha male tendencies. This is not to say that her understanding and acceptance of Abel’s nature meant that everything was smooth sailing in their relationship. Not at all. Like all KA heroines, Delilah is sassy, independent, and not scared of her man so she has no problem going toe-to-toe with him when she needs to. And she does. This translates into some serious chemistry (above and beyond that which comes with paranormal beings) and some freaking hot sex scenes. But most importantly, a beautiful love story.

Wild and Free is an excellent conclusion to The Three series. I really enjoyed the way in which Ms. Ashley expanded the conflict between the Immortals, adding other Immortals to the series to demonstrate the breadth of the conflict but doing it in such a way that it didn’t feel contrived or forced, but rather enriched the story. Due to the conflict, fans of the series are reunited with Lucien and Leah, Callum and Sonia, and other characters from the previous books and this made for a grand reunion in spite of the circumstances. Even knowing that the couple in all of KA’s books get their happily ever after didn’t keep me from crying when things looked bleak – as I did several times during this book. For me, a KA book is a cathartic read because her stories make me laugh and cry, they break my heart and make me fall in love, and they always leave me feeling like I’ve spent hours with friends. As I expected, I absolutely loved Wild and Free and have added it to my reread list.

I received a complimentary copy of the book in exchange for an honest review.

Whew... Well, aside from the fact that I have been waiting a LONG time, anticipating this book release, I must say, though I wasn't In Love with it, I did Love it. Let me attempt to explain myself.

*Why this WASN'T a 5 star read for me*
- I don't like the fact that Ms. Ashley decided to not really flesh out Abel's character more, concerning his Asian background/upbringing. Aside from the terms of endearments Abel used & the fact that we are TOLD of his genes/background & of course his "family", that's all you got. Now, while I love me some Brock Lucas (Wild Man) I'm not too hyped that Abel sounds EXACTLY like him. Even though he is a 200+ year old Asian-American Vampire/Wolf Hybrid, & has had to adapt to modern times, I wish that his presence was just more his own when it comes to his upbringing & who he was born to. I think if we would have gotten this it would have made his character that much more for me. It would have shown him standing out more as an individual & not so close to other Alphas I've read that were penned by KA.

Now because I love Abel & the story surrounding him, I was able to look past this. But still I just wish this type of character study/writing could have been a reality where he is concerned.

- I REALLY wish that we could have been allowed to see certain action sequences. I felt left out a bit. While I loved being cooped up in the compound with these characters. I thoroughly enjoyed what was occurring at times, I just still wish we could have been allowed to see certain things come about. Especially since we had to read through them planning & getting ready for such battles etc.. but then only to "hear" about it after the fact, left much to be desired, especially when you consider how intense/action packed this book starts. The first 3 chapters alone were pretty busy with this type of intensity. So to see it disappear for a good portion of the story, was a bummer.

- Now this is what REALLY ticked me off. MAJOR PLOT HOLE here concerning Delilah's "Power" the way it was introduced & what it represented, said it should have come into play long before it did. But it came into play for a completely different reason when it was truly needed, instead of for the reason(s) you'd think it would have. And what occurred to bring it out, truly made no sense to me & ticked me off... So, this is why, this book was not the 5 star read I was so hoping it would have been. There were just many things big & small that I don't feel were fleshed out well. And to be honest, ended on a slightly sloppy note. This is the final book of the 3. Things that should/needed to be on point, just weren't. Again, that's a bummer.

*Why I love this story*
-I loved the dynamic between all of the characters really. I definitely love how Abel & Delilah not only communicated openly, even when their discussions weren't always lovey dovey roses. But I also love the intensity of emotion that they shared with one another, in & out of the bedroom. I loved all of the secondary characters that brought color to this tale & that helped move certain things along plot wise.

-I did enjoy learning more of the reasons behind the Three & why. (Though I wish more clear info was given) Even though I understood it myself, I can still see how certain things can be confusing or leave people wondering were things really resolved or not. Or what was the point? But again, I loved how these things came to light & that I was seeing it unfold through Abel's & Delilah's eyes. So the way those things came about it kept my interest.

- And FINALLY what took my rating a bit over 3.5 stars, was the Epilogue. I felt the closure here. I love how it all came together and how certain people & things were explained/given, after the fact. So the Epilogue did appease me in many ways.

All in all this was a decent close to this trilogy. I did enjoy the journey for many reasons. So I loved it, I just was hoping to be "In Love" with it by the time it ended. *shrugs*

I would definitely recommend this read/trilogy. Though I would never EVER recommend you read book 1. I just can't do it. When people ask me about book 1 in this trilogy, I'm always like... *PAUSE*
Only read the last 20% & then go into book 2. LOL!

What can I say. For me is the best of all three. Great narrative and surprises along the reading. Cannot put it down and it is highly difficult since it is veeery long. Very hot steamy sex balanced with great supernatural drama.
I highly recommend it! But be aware you need to read the first two in order to understand the story.

Another wonderful series from Kristen Ashley. Really enjoyed all three books in this series just wished it was longer though I don't know where you would go after saving the world! Though I am sure Calder's search could fill a book of its own and keep us updated on the Three and their friends and family.

I think that the most profound acclaim an author can have is when their readers enthusiastically preorder and devour their books. I always thought this would be the highest compliment I could pay an author. I've said previously on authors pages, "I ordered your book in April even if doesn't come out until December!! Going to call in dead to work so that I can read it all!" Until now.
I preordered this book. I set aside time and sleep so that I could be all set up to read it and just couldn't. I could not bring myself to finish reading it, until today. I love KA. Love. Love her characters, her heroines and heroes and even her villians. But I didn't want to devour this instantly no, I wanted to savor it. I didn't want to let these three couples go, it pained me to come to the end.
I've already read other reviews that range from ahhhhh!! Too wtf? It was fast paced romance, waiting for action and a ton of building to the point. Yes, the romance was fast but then they got to their destination and the slow buildup was to flush out Abel and Delilah's relationship. It gave me a sense of them coming into each other, falling in love not just knowing they were meant but feeling it deep down in their gut.
So, I thought it was an amazing tale and a ride I profoundly enjoyed and will read again and again (as per all of KA books).

I must say that Until the Sun Falls From the Sky was my favorite of this series. I have read the first two a couple of times and was really looking forward to this book. Little disappointed. I know there was a whole lot to bring together but I really missed the tug and pull between the H/h which is so characteristic of KAs books. I also understand that Able was a biker and "rough around the edges", but his use of the "C" word was pretty offensive. In fact, it dropped my review of this book from 4 to 3 stars.

I am a KA fan. I have read most of her books and read them more than once. I look forward to new releases. That being said, this one was not a home run.

Wooza! I loved this book! Abel and Delilah are both great MCs that fit perfectly together (and well the should be since they're fated for each other). The story is sweet on the romance combined with plenty of action/suspense as Delilah & Abel (as well as the couples from the first 2 books in the series and a host of secondary characters) go through a hell of a fight against the bad guys to save humanity from enslavement.

Delilah is 29 years old biker babe that has a nice life in New Mexico. She's always (ever since she was a child) felt like something was missing in her life and it left a gaping hole in her. Her mother thought she was nuts and tried to get her medicated so Delilah's dad (who is a long time biker and very open minded) fought for and gained custody of her. Delilah and her dad are extremely close and when she feels the need to go questing for whatever will close her "hole" her dad is very supportive.

Abel is a vampire/werewolf hybrid who is slightly over 200 years old. He was found as a baby (in China) by a kind woman that took him in and protected him. She got him animals for blood and her descendants have been his family ever since, each woman of the family being like a mother/sister to him. Abel has never met another immortal and thinks he's a freak. Abel has had dreams of his mate, Delilah, for many years and also dreams of danger that threatens her. He's trained his 3 "brothers" to fight well enough to go against immortals to help him when needed.

When the story begins, Delilah followed her urges on her quest and finds herself in a new town. Soon after arriving she finds herself being hunted by 3 men and 2 really big dogs that are much faster than they should be. She's rescued by a men she can't see at first and when she finally gets a look at Abel, his first words to her is "Mine". He takes her home and she's kind of freaked and tries to get him to let her go but he makes it quite clear that what's hunting her can't be stopped by cops and he's not letting her go out and get killed. Delilah soon realizes that the hole in her gut that's been aching to be filled all her life isn't aching any more...that Abel is the end to her quest. There's also a connection between them that makes them able to sense each other's pain and Delilah knows there's no going back and they're going to need some help.

Delilah's father and 4 of his buddies aren't above taking matters in to their own hands and after Abel and his brothers (Chen, Xun and Wei) take out two attacks by multiple immortals, Delilah calls he dad and friends to help. Abel has been a Harley man since Harley motorcycles first existed so he and her dad get along great. It's pretty interesting seeing the 2 families integrate together. Delilah and Abel have to learn each other but they embrace their connection pretty much immediately and once they do there's no separating them. Not that things are completely perfect, they make some mistakes, but they're good with each other and don't have a problem with apologizing when it's needed. Because Abel has only met other immortals when they were attacking him and/or Delilah, he's not too willing to trust any immortal. This makes things difficult when Lucien, Callum, their mates as well as a few other good immortals try to make a friendly approach. Thankfully, this impasse doesn't last too long because there is a long road to go before things are resolved. It was great getting to see Abel and Delilah as well as the other couples working together to stop the bad guys. The overall message is one of love, understanding and acceptance and it's a very moving and poignant story. There are some sad parts that may require you to have some tissues on hand (I needed a few myself) but there were a fair number of happy tears too, especially as all 3 couples end the book with their HEAs.

I loved this story! I'll admit that it isn't perfect but it just touched me so much that I love it. The characters are great and the story is moving and engaging. Overall, this was a sweet romance as well as a wonderful conclusion to the series. I'd recommend the whole series, but this is my fave of the 3 books. 2 thumbs up! :D

I love you KA. With WILD and FREE you did it again – I laughed, cried and felt the struggles of the H/h and members of The Three in saving the world. I never thought I would cry over Yuri and Gregor, but you managed it. While giving us Abel’s alpha goodness and Lilah’s strength, you also provided us more of Callum/Sonia and Lucien/Leah. It was great to catch-up with these characters. This final book in the trilogy is more than just about vampires, werewolves and supernatural beings. It’s about hope, good over evil, family, friendship and everlasting love. There were so many passages in the book that just made my heart ache but in a good way. And last but most importantly, the love scenes are vintage KA hot! Looking forward to whatever comes out of your fertile imagination. <3

This is an absolutely BRILLIANT finale to this series. It is the story of Lilah & Abel, but it is SO MUCH MORE. Definitely 10+++ stars! This is not a stand alone. You really need to start at the beginning to get the full story. We get all of The Three (and a surprise or two that I just ADORE). There is action, there is drama, but most importantly, this is the story of love and hope.

I don't even have more words to gush about this book, and so I'll leave it with an encouragement to pick up this series and fall in love with a vampire, his human mate; a werewolf and his mate, and a hybrid and his mate. You might just fall in love w/ a few others along the way. I know I did! : )

I was so disappointed with this one. I wanted to love it because its KA but it felt flat to me. Abel was two dimensional as was Delilah. Even their romance was bland nothing like the explosive chemistry and sweet connections that usually characterize KA's couples. There were some great moments in the book but the trite plot and ending spoiled everything. I loved Yuri and Aurora, I think the book would have been way more interesting if she focused on them instead. Another highlight for me was Abel's family but its like KA ran out of inspiration once she introduced his brothers, for the rest of the book they were like cardboard characters. The standout for me was his sister/mother, such a strong woman throughout the book. I love KA but I think she needs to slow down her rate of publishing and take as much time as she needs to work her magic. No one writes like her when she is at the top of her game. IMHO she's been off it this year, I haven't liked any of the books she published in 2014. I'm hoping the new year will be a better one for her, quality wise. Happy new year everyone!

I loved this whole series, but maybe this book the most. It kept me completely hooked all throughout. I loved the development of all the characters throughout the series, but most importantly how they all come together and the friendships/relationships form and grow in this book. This book took me through many emotions from beginning to end. My dogs must think I am crazy by now, seeing how I received plenty of looks and attitude from the constant laughter. Read the entire series to get the whole story, but even if you just read this book, you will not be disappointed! Great job Kristen Ashley! Loved them all!

I love all types of books! My favorite though is paranormal romance. Yes, I'm a dweeb & totally proud of it. I LOVED this series/trilogy ..loved loved loved it. I kept watching the percentage on my kindle & found myself walking away to make it last longer. So, now that it's over, I'm sad! But it was so worth reading. If you like paranormal romance, do not miss out on this trilogy. It is really really good!

It has taken me several of KA 2014 books to finally admit that Kristen Ashley will no longer be on my auto buy list. I loved her books until 2014. I think she is writing too fast and too formulaic and much cruder in language and sex. I can only hope she realizes that she is slowly eroding her fan base with these, far from her best, books and puts the time and effort into developing her characters more, providing some engaging character angst resolution, and providing mysteries to solve or realistic enemies to fight.

This final Three book failed for me for the following reasons:
* No romance for Abel and Delilah. Instant love and never ending crude sex.
* Very little respect for women in general. The Three women kept getting put in a room somewhere while the men went out to play or fight.
* Long boring, no action and repetitive parts to slog through.
* What some call biker speak, but I call Fonzi speak, that was excessive and very irritating in this book.
* Abel’s use of the “C” word made my skin crawl and he couldn’t talk without including “F” word.
* Delilah’s sophomoric monologues of exclamative single or couple word sayings like Oh My God or Oh S***, Uh, Oh, What the F, Oh, Man, over and over just made me want to knock her silly.
* I’m kind of tired of all of the 1980 and 90’s slang. KA needs to try to write a story that sounds like the 21st century.
* Repeated unnecessary descriptions of Delilah, the total biker dog.
* Way, way too much boring sex between Abel & Delilah. We are told that Abel has a voracious need for sex daily but it was boring to read each of the many days sex scenes so I skipped 90% of them.

What I enjoyed about this book that kept me reading to the end:
* I actually enjoyed the subplot of Yuri falling in love with Aurora.
* Any of the story relating to Lucian, Callum Leah and Sonia.
* The story plot held my interest enough to want to see how it ended up.
* I liked Abel’s family and wish they could have played a more in depth part of the story.
* Gregor is the true Hero of this story.

This book, like KA's recent offerings, was just ok. Which was a disappointment, especially considering how long this one was in coming after the first 2 in the series. Abel and Delilah were ok, but there was no romance or build to their relationship and I found myself really tired of the same "biker speak" lingo once again being predominant, along with the single word sentence paragraphs as part of Lilah's ongoing inner (and outer) monologue (think Oh. My. God. and You. Did. Not. Just. Say. That. type stuff).

All in all the book was more about tying up all the loose ends (and giving Yuri a happy ending) and less about the main characters. There was also way more sex in this one than the others (I saw a review which referenced the sex as being the crudest in the series - hadn't thought of it that way but it was true), and not necessarily to the benefit of the book - I found myself skimming through them (because how many fairly repetitive sex scenes to you need in a chapter) to get to the next part of the plot. Wondered if some of them were filler to get the book to the necessary length. Regardless, Abel and Lilah (more Lilah) seemed a little too preoccupied with sex considering the danger they were in.

All in all, the book was fairly bland and ultimately a disappointment. I loved the first 2 books (especially With Everything I Am) and am not sorry to have read this one, but will be leery starting any new series or standalone books as KA's earlier work is really really good and the last several offerings were simply not up to her previous standards.

I loved Wild and Free! It was like I was watching a movie rather than reading a book, it was so action-packed! I was at the edge of my seat most of the time, wondering what was going to happen next! Lilah and Abel are the last of "The Three", meaning the last of the three couples that would save humanity from some evil immortal creatures. Abel is a werewolf/vampire hybrid who saves his future mate Lilah, at the beginning of the story. Once they meet each other, they both start to feel "whole" for the first time in their lives, since previously, they both felt as if something was missing in their lives. It's great that they've found each other; unfortunately, they now have to join up with a medley of mortals and immortals alike to fight some evil vampires, wolves, and other assorted monsters.

In this book, the reader not only gets the viewpoint of the main characters, Lilah and Abel, but also, the viewpoints of many different characters. These include old friends from previous books (Lucien and Leah, Callum and Sonia, Gregor and Yuri), as well as great new characters, such as Jian Li, Hook, and Aurora. There are other great new characters also, though the story is not told from their points of view. These include Jian Li's three sons, Barb and her coven of hilarious witches, Hook's buddies (Snake, Poncho, etc), Cain, Teona, and Josefa, amongst others. Normally, I wouldn't like so many different characters in one book, but it worked for me in this one. A lot of the story took place in the same setting, so the different characters probably kept the story from being too repetitive.

I don't feel like breaking down the plot in this review, but I do highly recommend reading this book! It made me laugh out loud, but it also made me cry out loud. This story also horrified me and made me so angry and disgusted! I was also worried and anxious, and then oh, so relieved! hmm, did I leave out any emotions? Nope, I think that's about it! Yes, I felt a number of different emotions while reading this novel, and I think you will also, so just read it already!

First I have to say I have no idea why people are disappointed in this book and to please not let their reviews dissuade you from purchasing the book. If I had I would have missed out on an awesome ending to the series, an extremely good book.

I loved the story of Abel and Lilah, did they meet and pretty much fall in love and were together fast? Yes, but we're talking about a fantasy book that has vampires and werewolves in it, beings that have mates and powers and so forth. You can read a book containing that stuff but you complain about them hitting it off too soon...most werewolf books I read they know when they've found their mate and they click, they may argue but they know it's meant to be. I think you just wanted something to complain about.

As for the person that complained there was too much sex, no action and showing no respect for the women, i.e they kept being put in a room while the men sent off and fought...Did we read the same book? You might want to double check. It's not like book had pages upon pages of sex but it is erotic romance so sex is to be expected. There was plenty of action, plenty of things going on to keep you wondering what was going to happen and no, the women didn't keep getting put in a room while the men fought. I don't even remember reading this happening in the book once?

Btw, all the other couples are in this book, it's not just about Abel and Lilah, there are a lot of different povs in the book. I would have liked an expansion on the epilogue with what happens in the couples lives and on Abels blood family. I enjoyed this book, sad it's all over and I won't be reading about them anymore. Give this book a try, if you don't like it return it for a refund but don't let the negative reviews turn you from giving it a try. Everyone has different tastes as can be seen from the differing reviews. You won't know if you like it unless you give it a try!

To the reviewer that said KA is losing her fans because of this book...you're wrong :)

I am not a big fan of time travel or paranormal romance, but because I am such a huge fan of Kristen Ashley, I read everything she writes and get totally caught up in her characters and story lines. I'm so disappointed. Just love Kristen Ashley usually and the two stars are only because she is the author. This just bored me to tears. They literally met and were together forever within 2 pages. The end. Where was the drama? Angst? Anything to make me get emotionally invested in this couple. I started skimming because there was nothing going on. This was a romance right? Cause I never felt it. Didn't give a crap about this couple and the fact that the two other couples from the previous books were in it did not save it for me. Such a departure from the other two books that I loved and a bummer that the series ended with such a whimper after waiting for so long.

I don't think there is an author that can compare to Kristen Ashley, she's a true genius and with her word she has the power to take us to amazing places where we get the chance to meet astounding characters as we follow their lives.

We met Leah and Lucian in Until the Sun Falls From the Sky, Callum and Sonia in With Everything I Am and although I absolutely loved them both... Abel and Lilah left me speechless.

When you start this book be prepared for the emotion because there will be a lot, have tissues ready because there are scenes were you can't help but read with tears streaming down your cheeks while unable to stop because you feel like you have to see it through just like our beloved characters are. This book made me smile, laugh and cry, my feeling were all over the place as event kept unfolding and there were moment were I found myself holding my breath and screaming "come on, come on" clicking page after page as this amazing story unfolded.

Lilah was freaking awesome, as female characters go she was everything we as woman want a heroine to be and so much more. She was sassy, strong, funny, caring and really cool. I loved her attitude, I loved her family and I specially loved how she care for Abel and was there for him every step of the way.

Abel was beyond swoon worthy, his loyalty to his family, his protectiveness of Lilah, his alpha attitude, and those sweet intimate moment when he told Lilah his story left me speechless. His past, his story left me so many conflicting emotions that I honestly still don't know how to feel, I'm sad for all he lost and all his family had to sacrifice but at the same time happy because he know love, respect and unwavering loyalty from those he loved. He was such a complex character and so freaking well developed that you couldn't help but feel as though he was real, and you absolutely knew him.

One of the things I loved was that because this is the conclusion to the series we get to see all those characters again that we cared for in the previous 2 book since most them are there, Regan, Calder, Caleb, Ryan, Gregor, Yuri, Stephanie, Cosmo, but we also got to meet some really great character like Hook (Lilah's dad) and his biker brothers. I also loved the addition of more paranormal being such as the witches and the Wraiths.

I don't want to summarize the book because you shouldn't read this book without first reading the first 2 and if you have done so then you know, You Know of Kristen Ashley's brilliance and know that her books are better read without spoilers so can feel all the emotions that she meant for you to feel. But I'll let you know this, the fight seen was heart-wrenching to read because I was in a constant state of panic that she was going to kill one of the characters that I had fallen in love and the ending. the epilogue was beautiful to read.

I'm sad to see them go but so happy I got to meet the characters in this amazing series. This is truly The Queen of Alpha Males at her best and a great end to this wonderful story.

Our girl has a little jealousy problem, "you fed from someone you effed and you did that yesterday! The day you met me!" He lifted his hands like he was going to touch me, so I threw one of mine out, batting his away, shouting, "don't touch me!" Abel he's rough and alpha but he has a soft spot when it comes to his girl, "pussycat, effin' you hard on your knees. You think I don't know you'll give me anything?" He also likes to tell his girl what's going to happen, "it's gonna get un-shaky and I'm gonna plant my babies inside you and we're gonna have a family." He sometimes has to be firm, "Off. The. Pill," he repeated with caution, not quite as gentle, so I knew that I had to proceed with caution." Obviously Abel stands firm on what he wants. I liked this book it was better than the first one I didn't read the second one as I was naughty and saw some reviews and I was on the fence about it, but this one was really good.

Kristen Ashley has done it again! Wild and Free finishes off the Three Trilogy that is packed with mystery, love, and alpha males all around. From start to finish we are taken on a wild ride that doesn't let up until the final page of the book. Delilah and Abel have been searching for each other unknowingly their entire lives. Filled with the longing in their soul when they finally meet it is under a cloud of danger. But their journey isn't just about learning about each other but knowing that their love is going to save the entire human race.

The entire book gives readers all the answers they were searching for from the entire series as well as an added bonus of a certain secondary character. Ashley's writing transports readers into another world where you can't help but want to finish the entire book in one sitting. From start to finish Wild and Free is an exhilarating journey !

I've been waiting for this book to be released and man oh man is it worth the wait! It's definitely an epic ending to a wonderful series, although what do we seriously expect from a KA book right??

The story was told beautifully and it played like a movie in my head especially the part in the end. I had tears in my eyes, my heart was pounding, and I had goosebumps in my arms as i was reading most of the scenes towards the end. In my personal opinion, this will be a blockbuster if it's made into a movie.

In this book, we didn't just get Abel & Lilah, we also got Callum & Sonia and Lucien & Leah. It's not just about love, it's also about friendship, acceptance and goodness of the heart.

I don't read a lot of paranormal books but I truly, TRULY enjoyed this book and I will definitely miss my favorite characters..."The Three". Thank you Kristen Ashley for another wonderful book, this is really a masterpiece! Can't wait to read so much more from you!!!

Holy Shitoley!!! I have to first say that I have read every book Ms. Ashley has put out and they are all my favorites!!!! I have re-read almost every book and more than once. I have love her and the men she creates. That being said Sweet Dreams has always held a special place for me and last night as I was angry with myself for finishing Wild and Free because it was that good, I think maybe just maybe Sweet Dreams has been moved one space down. I loved loved loved ( I could go on and on) this book. Abel what can I say but yes please!!!! Everything about this book was amazing... now I am not shocked by that because everything Kristen Ashely writes is amazing but this book was on a whole other level. Thank you for the worlds you create and the places you take us...that being said can you take us there again...I think I need more of the Three and Mr. Yuri!!! You are great and amazing....can not wait for the next book! :)

Best ending to an incredible series. I loved the way Kristen Ashley integrated all the characters from previous books. I also loved that she always portrays strong women with men that respect them and love them as they are.

Another out of the park home run for Kristen Ashley!!!! The book it extremely long and took a bit to set up story wise, but once it does it was phenomenal!!!! Abel and Delilah are a great match but there is a lot of Lucien & Leah, Sonia & Callum, plus all the vampires and werewolves from the first two books and that was some of my favorite parts of the book. The story's climax and epilogue blew me away.

This is another epic novel that will answer all the questions from the first two books while weaving a wonderful story all on its own. Just fabulous ! I am amazed by Ms. Ashley's imagination and writing style. Her books are never a disappointment. Character depth just sucks you into the story and breaks your heart when the book ends. I am sorry the ends "the three" series ! You gotta read all three. Highly recommend. Would have given this ten stars !

I have not yet had the pleasure of reading all of Kristen Ashley 's books, but I have made quite a dent. The Rock Chick series I have read several times each and are my go-to books when I want to laugh, cry, etc. Having said that, The Three Series is definitely being added to my go-tos.

The stories are unique, compelling, romantic, gritty, and written in a way that you don't want to put down but know you should to make reading them last longer. This was a perfect way to end the series but of course, as with all Kristen Ashley books, leave us hoping there is more!

Wake up. Kick Life. Repeat.
Excellent, compelling story of life, heartbreak and love.
Believable characters, snarky and realistic dialogue. Easy to follow story line.

I will re-read this story and always look forward to, pre-order when possible, works by this author.

I loved The Three Series and thought Wild and Free was a great ending. Unlike some of the other reviewers, I liked Lilah, nothing like a biker chick heroine! Kristen gives us a real full length book versus these other authors that are selling short stories as full price.

Great read..have been waiting forever for this book it seems. Love Abel and Lilah together and having the couples from the other books all in the same story. Thank you Kristen for giving us Yuri's story as well...bonus!!! The only thing I do miss is the intricate details missing in these shorter length books....to pack it in tighter, for alot of the action, we are told what happens in the aftermath...in her longer books, the reader is privy to all the action.

This was the best of the trilogy for sure. I knew I'd be happy because I am a fan of the writer and because I wanted a conclusion for the characters in the first two books but...I had no idea I'd fall so hard and fast for the new characters. This book caught me from the first page and kept going until the end.

I don't know how she does it but she always does it. This may be my all time favorite of Ms. Ashley's books and that is saying something. The conclusion of The Three series was unbelievably moving. Really there are no words to describe how she captured my imagination and transported me into the world of The Three. What an emotional ride she has taken us on with the conclusion of this series. Acceptance, heartbreak, intrigue, suspense, hope, forgiveness, and love are evident throughout this book, and I mean throughout the whole entire book. Sacrifices were made to insure the continuation of the human race and the sacrifices were not small. I laughed, I cried, I sobbed, and I smiled as tears were running down my cheeks. HEA's did not come easily, they were earned. There is a reason her fans call her The Queen and this series absolutely shows why romance readers worldwide wait with bated breath for her books to be released. A truly talented author who writes real love stories even in a paranormal genre. The love of life mates but also of family whether blood or chosen comprise her works, and more so in this work. Love the story, love the length, and love that Ms Ashley keeps giving us all she does. Thank you for such a glorious ending.

I am so disappointed. I must have re-read the first 2 books in the trilogy several times I loved them so much. I pre-ordered this book and was so excited to read it. I didn't even finish it. I am tired of the male hero in Kristen's books speaking in short, clipped, rude sentences. It worked in "Knight" but that style of speech seems to be her go-to for the other men in her books. Anyway, I think I am done spending money on these books.

What a wild ride! This was an awesome ending to the three series. Not only did we meet the last couple, but we caught up with the other two and witnessed the war. This packed a huge punch and will keep you riveted. I couldn't eat or sleep until i finished.

My only regret is that having read this one, there are so many characters I wish we could spin off into their own story. Kristen Ashley makes even the secondary characters come alive and steal your heart. This one makes you laugh, cry and take cold showers. KA is my favorite author and even after having read everything she's written multiple times, she still blows me away.

This is the conclusion to the "three" series. There wasn't any romantic conflict between Delilah and Able, the basically met and were instantly a couple. I recognise that there was a lot of loose ends to tie up so maybe she didn't have time for the push and pull of anew relationship, but that why you read romances, right? I just wasn't happy with the lack of romance. Yuri also meets his mate in this book, but the same thing happens with him, meet and mate. Without the romantic conflict the story dragged. Most of the time was spent waiting for something to happen, literally. At least everything gets tied up in this book. I would not recommend this starting with this book if you've never read Kristen Ashley. Until the sun falls from the sky is the best one of this trilogy.

I have Ms. Ashley on autobuy. Note to self: stop that. I really enjoy her older books but frankly, I AM OVER IT.
Over what? you may ask...
1. Reading dialogue and being clobbered by apostrophes. Oh, I should have said "bein'"
2. All of the bursting into laughter. Just. Stop.
3. To each their own but being a semi-criminal doing recreational everything does not make you Dad of the year. Possibly uncle of the year.
4. Please grab my hand and get out of last century. I am begging you. Just step over the hipsters.
5. Women have wide and varied career choices available that go beyond kids, admin, office, and the retail restaurant bar industry. Please branch out.
I love sexy successful alpha males with hangups. (Joe Callahan) I like the takeover and rescue the maiden plotline and it's terrific to read about actual grown woman with curves and lives and opinions. I read for fantasy and for fun, not battle strategies and heaps of gore. Can we get more classic Ashley please?

Great book, and a great ending! Yes there was insta-love with the Able and Yuri storylines, but it was sweet and needed to happen to keep the major plotline moving. I mean these aren't your average Joe's out on an eharmony date, they're Kristen Ashley soulmates for God sakes, so it's going to move fast! The Yuri love story takes you by surprise and is anything but overkill, as it unites a much needed "witchy" force with the three. Great action, no skipping pages, and awesome surprises.

Wild and Free (The Three Series Book 3)

Genres; Adult, Mystery, Paranormal, Romance, Suspense.
4 Solid Stars.

Negatives & Positives
This one is my least favorite due to (hard to believe) an overabundance of sex scenes and....
1. Not enough depth nor intelligence for the main heroine Delilah. She really could have been so much more. But mostly she just wanted to bang Abel and never seemed to know how to do much else. The plus side of this is the sex scenes were pretty hot and steamy. The minus side is it became a bit mundane.
2. Talk about taking the long way around to get to your goal! There was so much unnecessary information in this one it just flat out annoyed me at times. It truly interfered with the flow and enjoyment of the story.
So why 4 stars?
The plot/story line was great.
Able was awesome & there were a lot of things I did like about Delilah.
Almost all the other characters in this one really shined. There were some great twist and turns. A lot of surprises that kept me intrigued.
Yuri! I loved him. I wish she would write a novella or something with him and his lady love in it. A grand adventure for them.
The section towards the end where Yuri and the witches are having a bonfire was hilarious!
This should have been a 5 star series all the way through. I liked it a lot. I am glad I read them all. But I was disappointed. It didn't really measure up to what I think of as Kristen Ashley's standards.

I kept skipping pages on this book at some point because of a few reasons
- Abel & Delilah meet, after he saves her life. They end up having sex a day & a half later and are suddenly a couple & together as in TOGETHER. It didn't feel believable, they didn't seem to spend much time getting to know each other & so their entire "love-story" fell flat for me.
-Tedious sex scenes that could have been replaced instead with more romantic "getting to know you" moments. It almost felt like they met, bam! they have sex bam! they're together! The sex scenes culd have been removed, the characters more fleshed out. I wanted to know more abut his Brothers. they seem interesting & I wish we had more scenes with them talking & interracting as a family.
-Delilahs powers & her character is barely fleshed out.. Her powers are barely explained. In the final battle, she's chilling out at a corner. From time to time she'll hit some vampire or werewolf or whatever. Then suddenly after Gregor dies (which sucked LOVED HIM) bam! she's suddenly powerful & the only explanation is sme throwaway nonsense about acceptance & love or whatever? Not to mention the idea of them fighting in a dream state, but then they are visible to everyone around the world because the entire battle is being broadcasted live on TV is far fetched to say the least!
-Abel's dialogue. He talks like a lower class illiterate man. NOT like a 205yr old hybrid!I have no problem with the F bomb but it didn't sound right coming from an old immortal. It felt forced like he was trying to wear clothes that didn't quite fit him.
Good points in this story
-Leah & Lucien & Sonia & Callum these two couples stories are better, more fleshed out & thus more believable so it's good to "see" them again.
-Yuri & Aurora. I loved these two!

The third installment in The Three series centers on Abel, a werewolf/vampire hybrid, and his human lifemate, Delilah. The Sacred Triumvirate are finally united and The Nobel War is upon them—a war to save the world from evil immortals who wish to enslave humanity.

Delilah Johnson has lived her whole life searching for something to fill the emptiness inside her, when one morning she wakes up with a rabid desire to go to Serpentine Bay. The moment she arrives, she unpacks her bags in the hotel, and goes out. Searching. For what, she doesn't know. But she finds it when she's viscously attacked by a group of men with dogs, then saved by a man who's incredibly strong and supernaturally fast. A man who immediately claims her as his. Suddenly Delilah's cast into a world where fantasy comes to life in the form of supernatural beings, and the man she's been searching for her whole life turns out to be a vampire/werewolf hybrid.

For centuries, Abel Jin has been searching for something, knowing it was not there to find. Until thirty years ago, when the empty feeling became something else. A clawing in his gut that got stronger and stronger, year after year. But the night he rescues Delilah from a rabid group of vampires and wolves, the pain stops, and he knows he's finally found his mate.

In his two hundred plus years, Abel had never sensed or even smelled another being like him. But he’d dreamed of them. Dreamed of the danger they represented. Dreamed of them harming his family. And for centuries he'd dreamed of watching his mate die on a street somewhere, drained by vampires and torn apart by wolves. So he will stop at nothing to keep Delilah safe. Together, they fill the emptiness that has been clawing at each of them for decades. But finally finding each other tips their destinies as the last of The Three. Now they must unite to save the world from evil immortals who wish to enslave humanity...or die trying.

As much as I truly wanted to love this story, it sadly fell short of the mark for me. Don't get me wrong...I didn't hate it. I just didn't love it. Wild and Free delivers a smörgåsbord of vampires, werewolves, hybrids, witches, wraiths, phantoms, golems, and Ancients sure to delight most paranormal romance fans. Unfortunately, the relationship between the protagonists just didn't work for me—instalove, on steroids. Lots of gratuitous sex, you bet. Romance, not so much. Abel was your typical KA alpha-male—tall, sexy, possessive, protective vampire/werewolf hybrid who had the tendency to speak in grunts, growls and incomplete sentences. Mine. Shower. Now. You get the picture. Delilah was a free spirit, a biker chick, a no-nonsense girl who spoke her mind, and though I didn't dislike her, per se, as the story progressed her vernacular seriously grated on my nerves. Holy s***oly...Yeesh, dudes...Right on...I hear that too, sister...Amen to that, sister... Yep, 500+ pages of groovy-hippie-meets-valley-girl-meets-bill-and-ted's-excellent-adventure-type-annoying-slang.

Without a doubt, though, my biggest beef was with The Noble War. The culmination of events throughout the series had been leading up to what should have been a battle of epic proportions. Instead, said battle, was a psychedelic fight that pushed the boundaries of reality—even for fantasy. Delilah's "power" made no sense. It seemed silly and contrived—totally unbelievable that she would be the key to defeating the evil immortal army. However, on a positive note, the secondary characters were simply wonderful—Lucien and Leah, Callum and Sonia, Gregor, Yuri, Ryon, Calder, Caleb, Regan, Stephanie, and Cosmo all had strong presences throughout the story, and in many ways, made up for the lack of connection I felt between the Hero/heroine. I really liked Abel's human family, and thoroughly enjoyed the added element of Delilah's biker father and his posse. The witches added much needed drama, excitement and entertainment to the storyline. And although, Wild and Free was a bit of a double-edged sword for me, I'd still be interested in reading more about Ryon, Calder, Caleb, Stephanie and Cosmo, and therefore hope that one day, the author will consider revisiting the extraordinary, paranormal world of The Three.

There is so much that could be said about this book. While this is Abel and Delilah’s story, it is so much more then that. I love that KA went back to her hard as stone alpha male roots and made Abel a sinful biker that you can’t help but love. She also took creative to a whole different level when it came to the paranormal aspect and the battles all the characters of the Three have to face.

We get to see a lot of our favorite characters from the first two and fall in love itch more new characters. I really could go on and on about how this book pulled the feeling from me and wrecked me at times, but then other times my heart was so full I could burst, but I’ll just say this is one of my all time favorite paranormal series and it shows that love, hope and acceptance can help when you don’t think it can. Sad to see it over, but I will reread this series more times in the future because it’s that amazing. 5 Stars #2OCCJD

“This was it. This was us. This was what we’d be. Wild and free.”

I am always in awe of authors who can traverse genres flawlessly and effortlessly, continually gifting us with their signature style in everything they write, that being sexy, alpha mountain men, bikers, boxing champions, kings of fictional lands, or supernatural beings. Regardless of the label put on their works, their stories have the power to transport us into a reality that is as tangible or as imaginary as it gets, holding us captive and making us wish we never left, because with every word, with every delectable moment of make-believe we are given an escape that we can trust, seek, depend on. Kristen Ashley is one of those authors for me, a safe haven I frequently run to when the hopeless romantic in me is in need of some special care, and the mere idea of reading about vampires and werewolves with her unique stamp on them has been an utterly thrilling experience. In this third book of The Three series, the final Prophesy is fulfilled, where the werewolf/vampire hybrid, Abel, finds his lifemate, Delilah, finally bringing this fantastical world to an eternity of peace between species.

“I’m two hundred and five years old and I’ve been raised with love. I’ve been blessed with family. I’ve shown and been gifted with loyalty. I’ve known joy. But I’ve never felt complete until I had Delilah.”

Abel and Delilah are the last of the chosen three couples whom the fates have given extraordinary abilities and powers, in preparation for the battle that is said to determine the future of all races. An orphan raised by generations of the same loving adoptive family, Abel has lived for over two centuries knowing that no matter how much love and devotion he is given by those around him, a crucial part of him would be missing until the day he meets the one and only mate who would fill the hole in his soul. When he finally finds Delilah, a twenty-nine-year-old ball of sass and attitude, his every instinct tells him that she is his.

“I’ve waited three lifetimes for you, and now that I’ve got you, I’m keepin’ you.”

It takes a little longer for Delilah to accept the idea of Abel as her fated mate, having to come to terms with the existence of a supernatural world around her as well, but once she gives in to their scorching chemistry, we get nothing less than fireworks. And they are s-p-e-c-t-a-c-u-l-a-r. As they grow closer to one another and learn everything about each other, they are all too soon faced with the very danger that wishes to destroy them. And a world they never even imagined existed.

“Found the man I’ve been waiting for all my life and he’s an overprotective werewolf vampire who drinks bagged blood for breakfast, has the strength of ten men, the speed of a superhero, not to mention we have people who want us dead. This is not something a girl takes in stride. At least give me to lunch.”

In this book, we are also reunited with all the main characters we already fell in love with in previous instalments in this series, as well as a few of the secondary ones, all their stories being wrapped up in light of the impending doom facing them all.

As much as I have truly enjoyed this story and the way my mind so eagerly travelled to such an enthralling imaginary world, I did feel that it somewhat fell short of the very elements that would make it a compelling paranormal read. It felt to me like this story was only set in a paranormal reality, these characters quite comfortably being capable of ‘existing’ in and drawing similarities from many of this author’s contemporary works. I loved that and, at the same time, I did not like that at all. I hoped for a deeper feeling of immersion into a fantastical world of this kind, with more attention on the supernatural other-worldly elements and a bit less on the everyday ones such as the characters’ fashion sense or their random musings about everything and anything around them, not to mention the numerous sex scenes (and I will have to wash my mouth with soap for saying this) that often served no other purpose than to entice our senses over and over again. My biggest obstacle in connecting with this story was the actual heroine, Delilah. After two books in this series where the lead female characters perfectly complemented their respective male counterparts and ‘fit the bill’ quite seamlessly, I couldn’t shake the feeling that the heroine in this book did not belong in it at all. Her personality was over-the-top, too much of the storyline centred around her ‘biker chick sass’ and inner reflections, significantly more so than on her mate, even though we are offered both of their points of view, and her interactions with the other characters in the story did not sit well with me. In addition to that, I felt that the background storyline kept building up to a huge climax that never really eventuated, the ending seeming rushed, wrapped up too quickly and almost skimmed over. I wished for that one single occurrence of epic proportions that we were bracing ourselves for which would have represented the culmination of all three books at once, but the event we got did not end up being satisfying enough. We were, however, given the chance to revisit characters from previous instalments and even hear their inner voices once more, which added an enjoyable level of familiarity to the overall storyline.

It does not happen very often, if ever, that I do not connect quite viscerally with a Kristen Ashley novel. This book had all the right components, all the ‘winning’ elements that would make it an instant hit with me, but I simply did not connect with this story as much as I hoped for. This did not take away from the sheer beauty of the romance between Abel and Delilah, but it was enough for it not to become another favourite of mine.

“Thank you for making a lifetime of longing worth every second, Abel.”

What a conclusion to the series! This has turned out to be one of the best paranormal series I've read. I adore Kristen Ashley's writing style, it's very sort of conversational so it made me feel like I knew the characters well and I became so invested in them and what happens to them. Her writing style makes for such an easy read in that it sucks you in and before you know it you're half-way through and are not able to put it down.
In this third and final installment in The Three series we meet the hybrid Abel, half vampire, half werewolf, he has no idea that there's others like him in the world. In all his years he's never come across another supernatural creature and he's been left to figure things out for himself. Abel is a very down to earth character, there's no airs and graces, he's very rugged and rough, he says it how it is and he certainly has a way with words! He is one dirty mouthed werewolf vampire! Because of his down to earth nature he's a very easy character to connect to, and even though he's not overly emotional himself he still brings out the emotions and empathy of the reader.
We also meet Lilah, Abel's destined mate. She's human and has no idea of the supernatural world, however when she finds out about it she handles it like a true hardcore biker chick. She's not a weak heroine that needs coddling, she handles everything in stride, she's one kicka$$ b*tch!
As well as meeting the third and last part of the sacred triumvirate we also see the whole story come together. So Leah and Lucien and Sonia and Callum play a big part in this story also, so we get to ease the withdrawal symptoms from their stories. There's so much going on with this book with everything coming together at the end, no cliff-hangers thank god! The series is complete with this book but I'd love another book, a kind of epilogue for the different characters. I want to see them a few years down the line from the ending of this book, I just can't let go of them! I need more!
I highly recommend this book to all lovers of the paranormal genre but also to anyone who hasn't tried the genre yet, this being Kristen Ashley you can be safe in the knowledge that she writes a bloody good book and the characters and the relationships between the characters are such that I think even those who have written off the paranormal genre could very much enjoy this series.

This Author used to be my favorite but sometime after 2013, all her books seem the same to me. It is so shocking that this was part of the Three Series and yet seems nothing like other two books. The first two are amazing books with solid stories, great characters and a lot of depth. In this book, even the Vampire who is hundreds of years old, starts trash talking like all her characters and if that is not enough, the female is just as silly and unbelievable. There is something called a Flow in a Series which is totally missing and coming back to my original point, how is it natural for a Vampire to talk like that???? Please, Kristen Ashley, enough is enough. Lucien and Callum were two amazing characters and I cannot wrap my head around as to how the third one comes up to be Abel Jin!!! Avoid all her books after 2014 and read the ones from before and you will see what I mean.

Such a great ending to the series! And I loved there was a return to the action I've missed from the last few KA books. DOn't get me wrong, I love any KA book, but with the exception of Broken Dove, I think all of her books since Own the Wind have lacked in the action dept. They were a lot more relationship driven. In her older books, there was always that sense of suspense, that background action side plot going along and I loved that. But the newer ones were missing that side story going on throughout the book. ANy action or side stories were started and ended within a couple of chapters. ANd that's fine. I mean, she can't use the same formula over and over, it gets stale. But it's not to say it was missed by me.

Anyway, I loved that Abel and Delilah hooked up early on and knew they were it for each other pretty much from the get go. The sexual tension was still there and done awesomely, we just didn't have to spend a lot of time with the push and pull, will she or won't she just give in already thing. Instead, we got to spend a lot of time dealing with the series long plot of The Three vs. Eitienne's evil people. ANd it was great. We got POV's from all the other couples, Gregor and Yuri. Yuri could have held his own book, IMO.Loved his parts.

The first 2 books had more of a "fairytale" feeling to it. I think because Lucian and Callum were fairytale like characters. They were wealthy, kings, powerful. The settings were ambiguous, so you didn't know if they were in the US, Europe, etc. it was a land far, far away. In WF, you knew they were in the San Fran area. Abel was a normal guy, as was Delilah. Too normal for this storyline. I almost expected Chaos to come in, lol. I think maybe in a different series the characters may have worked better.

Gregor made me cry. I wasn't even sure of his true intentions in the first two books. This one, I knew and it killed me.

The only part of this book I wasn't so happy with was the epilogue. I kind of thought, since we didn't have epilogues for the first 2 books, we'd get a giant one here. And not that it wasn't good, I just think it was all about Able and Delilah, and just glossed over the others, when they should have been covered too.

Anyway, another great book by the queen.

Not a fan of this one. I feel like there were several major plot holes. The other two books primarily focused on the budding relationship between the major couple with a bit of the prophesy business coming in at the end. That meant however that the bulk of the prophesy storyline occurred in this last book. As a result of that, this couple ends up a couple within just a few chapters and literally within (I think) a day and a half of meeting. There were some really good parts tho. I loved seeing Yuri gets his love interest (even though I have a big problem with how they met and how quickly they both moved on from it). I actually did enjoy Abel and Lilah's relationship a lot - they had several sweet interactions. And I loved seeing Callum and Sonia again and that Gregori played such a huge role - his character was really fantastic in this book.

My quibbles all involve SPOILERS so beware:
1 - I absolutely do not understand the conversation about peeing
2 - it felt like the women were largely pointless other than as a sex partner and someone to get the drinks. They trained a little, fought a little, were even able to attend the war council meetings and have ideas like big girls, but other than that they spent a lot of the story sidelined by their menfolk. Except the witches - they kicked ass. Why didn't Leah train fighting with other vampires? They were aware she was taking on some of Lucien's abilities - why not develop them? Sonia finally trained with the wolves but only after she asked.
3. I didn't care for the media storyline - it felt a little too much like a comic book. It also drove me crazy how often the narrative referred to "vamps" rather than "vampire" but that's minor.
4. I totally understand how frustrated the characters got with not doing anything because I got really frustrated at them for not doing anything.
5. KA has had some really great strong female characters, but too often they come across like really vapid teenagers. Lilah is told that she is powerful enough to take over the world, she spends three hours trying to figure out how to use her powers and throws in the towel after one of the stronger female characters suggests that her power is one that will be understood when she needs it. We are literally in a situation where the fate of the world hangs in the balance, thousands of people have been brutally murdered, she is told her power is the strongest of all - yet she nods and says okay when it is suggested that she just wait to figure it out until it really matters. She has really horrible dreams that she can't remember - yet zero time is given to her attempting to remember them. And Sonia. Sonia can talk with animals, but instead of recruiting help from bears or bobcats or moose or actual wolves - she chats with bunnies and cats and dogs.

To be open and honest, I haven't been a big fan of this series anyway. I did like the second one with Callum and Sonia but this one just didn't do it for me.

Abel Jin and Delilah Johnson have both lived knowing they were missing something inside themselves...what they did not know or understand what it was. Until one night Delilah is in danger and a man seeming incredibly strong and fast saves her. That night on Delilah is thrust into fiction and fantasy where vampires and werewolves not only exists but a hybrid is the one who saves her and also claims Delilah as his. Abel knows the danger isn't gone but dreams that his mate will not live past the war he must fight. Abel will do everything in his power to save her even from a monster like himself.

The final in The Three series did not disappoint at all! Kristen Ashley ended this series with a bang and a box of Kleenex! Yes I bawled like a little girl whose favorite toy was taken away and tossed in the trash! Abel and Delilah certainly put on a show as with the other two couples! There are some reviews complaining about the vulgar language but if you are a true K.A Fan then you know how her writing is, you know how her characters can talk...in my opinion it was a K.A masterpiece ending that only she could write. So congrats Kristen and bring on the tequila and keep writing!!!! :)

I purchased this book thinking a good mystery was going to be revealed, what I got was a lot of soft porn. A vampire/werewolf high-bred if sex could solve all problems they would have it on lock. I will say this, the author has a sense of humor which made it almost bearable to get through the book. The book could have been cut down by a good six hours if she cut all the sex scenes out. Deliah is annoying, to say the least. when times call for a mature woman she acts like a spoiled child. The end made the whole entire book worthwhile. The women of the Three don't fully understand or know what to do with their gifts, and neither does the audience. I would say don't waste a credit on this book, but if you like sex scenes and women called bitches this book is definitely for you.

Before I start note some spoilerage below.

I read the teaser chapters for this book two months ago and was excited to get this book. Now I've been fooled by teaser chapters before so , I lowered my bar for KA after the last three books so low , it was hitting the ground. KA will always be an autobuy for me because even when her books suck they are still entertaining.

I Buddy Read this with my EDGy ladies and the gals on Turning Pages at Midnight.

Ok so we have Abel our Wolf Vampire Hybrid. We have Delihla his destined mate. Abel is the third player in our mighty "THREE" ( remember this because you will read they are the "THREE" 100 times. Our first two heroes of the series , Lucien and his mate Leah and Callum with his mate Sonia sweep this couple off to a vampire compound. First 25% of this book is awesome (and remember the word AWSOME because you are going to read it over 100 times by the time this book is done). Solid four star read. I'm excited to finally get a KA of old book. Now Delihla is 29 but dresses and acts like Valley Girl from 1980's ( feather earrings, constant use of slang, hair out to THERE, complete with a father who is a biker and sports.......ready?......a mullet to end all mullets. Ok , John Stamos in his heyday could barely pull off a double decker mullet. So forget a biker who in his 50's. Also, his road name is "Hooker" I'm guessing because he frequents them? Despite annoying 1980 flashback book is good. So I pick that bar up off the ground and look a little bunny limbos under it.
Then we get 1,000 side characters thrown in the mix. And then this book starts to drag.

And Drag

And Drag

Our mighty " Three" (much like my daughters crayfish when our cats are circling his tank) hidey hole away in this compound while the world falls apart. This vampire stronghold by the way, is lorded over by Gregor ( Sonia's vampire adoptive father) from various libraries and dining rooms around the Chateau de' vampire hidey hole.
Here at Chateau Hidey Hole we are given descriptions of every coffee poured and meal served. They f*** their mates senseless and endless, but when it comes time for a battle, well, we don't get to see those. Fade to tea time with Gregor.
At this point my Dirty Girl Buddy Reader, Page, points out our mighty "Three" could use a lesson in war planning and retribution from our Dax Lahn & Co. of the Fantasyland series.
I decide to give Dax Lahn a call.

I phone Lahn. "Hey Lahn, listen, Page had this idea. Can you go over to this compound of vampire/wolf and whatever the f***s with your buddies and teach them how to exact retribution for attacking your mate, because really, I know if this was you in their shoes every one of their enemies would already be headless 10 chapters back. Riding into the compound on horseback would help ( for me anyway)"
Lahn: " I will not help them. They don't deserve my help, bunch of pussies. Do not ask this of me again"

Well. I guess I'm on my own.

But wait. Oh look a side romance with Yuri and a witch named Aurora. Ok saved from boredom.

So the women decide they are going to take things into their own hands. Delilah has discovered she has a cool Kmart Blue light special power that can obliterate stuff and is trying to practice on innocent Solo cups. Sonia decides to go outside and talk to Bunnies. AWSOME ( someone in the KA camp must have really liked that Lego movie song)

I try Lahn again:
" Kahn Lahn, yeah ugh, their women are pulling a Snow White / Sleeping Beauty/Cinderella and gonna get little bunnies and doggies and kitties to fight for them"
Silence from Lahn
Then
"I'll be right there"
" Ugh Lahn? Could you bring Zahnin and Bain along too? On horseback. Please?"
Lahn, Zahnin, Bain, Tor, Apollo and Frey ride into the compound. Our mighty "Three" come out.
Lahn leans in to Zahnin and Bain and says "unman them". Frey says " leave the vampires to me, always wanted to fry one with my dragons"

Well this doesn't help.

Finally we have a showdown. Thumper and friends do their best to defend the mighty " Three". We have a incredibly stupid showdown with Kmart Blue Light Special ending and boring epilogue.

The end

Boo

As I said before, the second installment is the best in this series, but I appreciated a lot, that as a series, this lasted only three books and a clear ending, no other books necessary. Kristen Ashley is one of my favorite author for contemporary/paranormal romance and I think that she showed it again in this 3 books.

How sad for this book to turn out the way it did. Unfortunately I couldn't finish it, I have all Of miss Ashley's books this is the first I ever returned, I expected this to be better, it didn't do justice to the other two.
Her sex scenes don't work, there was no chemistry for me between the main leads, I don't think I'll be buying any more of her books. Sad day.

I'm split down the middle on this one. I was not a fan of the instant love connection. It wasn't sweet and sexy like typically K.A. novels. It was more primal and animalistic. I'm sure that's what she was going for and if it's your cup of tea, you're in for treat. It's not my cup of tea... Abel and Delilah were interesting characters, but IMO they were overshadowed by Aurora and Yuri. I wanted more Yuri! Other than those two major issues I was pleased with the end of this series. There was lots of action, great tear jerker scenes, and the sexy, over the top love stories we look for from Kristen Ashley.

“Need your hands and mouth on me.” He pulled me up so we were facing each other and dropped his voice low. “Need your wild. Need your brand of alive. Need to feel free the way only you can give to me even when we’re cooped up.”

Something magical happens every time I open a Kristen Ashley book, something unexplainable that is exclusive only to this author and her stories. It's this inexplicable feeling that overcomes me each and every time. With Wild and Free, that magical feeling is multiplied exponentially because this story is, indeed, magical. As a reader who doesn't typically seek out much paranormal romance, I made an exception, what feels like forever ago, for this series. I'm a little bias, I'd read the encyclopedia if Kristen Ashley put her signature rock chick spin on it. So PNR? Yes, I can do me some Kristen Ashley PNR. This series, for this non-PNR reader, blew my mind. It's one of the most memorable, most addictive, most delicious series I've ever read, paranormal element or not. So to say that this final installment in the Three series was highly anticipated is an exorbitant understatement.

Abel Jin is a biker. He's also a hybrid vampire werewolf that doesn't know he's one third of the Three, the Sacred Triumvirate who, once reunited, will commence the prophecies and will be destined to save the world from the immortals who wish to enslave humanity. He knows he's different, having lived a few centuries, raised by and then, subsequently, raising members of a Chinese American family who've protected his identity and his abilities for generations. He believes he's alone in the world, knowing nothing about the existence of other supernatural creatures. Alone, until he meets his mate. Delilah Johnson is the human daughter of a biker family, the pretty girl next door, unremarkable except for the knowledge that something is missing, something that's left her with a painful, burning hole in her soul. Until she finds Abel.

Unlike Lucien, the vampire, and Callum, the werewolf, Abel is completely unaware of the inner workings of the supernatural. He's barely even aware of the existence of others outside of himself. Despite his hybrid abilities, being both vampire and werewolf, Abel was raised by humans, surrounded only by humans, and is just now thrust into the supernatural world when both good and evil land on his doorstep. Also, contrary to what transpired in previous books, Delilah is oddly accepting of Abel and the fact that she now belongs to him. Unlike Lucien's Leah and Callum's Sonia, who both repelled the notion of pairing off with a vampire and a werewolf respectively, Delilah knows immediately that she is Abel's mate. She feels it and knows it and believes it and never questions it, even once.

Wild and Free, as far as Kristen Ashley books go, is just that... Wild and Free. It doesn't follow the formula I've come to know and love and expect from this author. In typical Kristen Ashley form, the alpha male steam rolls into the life of the female he wishes to claim, she fights it, in vain, and eventually the two live happily ever after. That dynamic held true, even in the first two books of the Three series, where the vampire claimed his reluctant human bride, and the werewolf king claimed his unknowing female counterpart. But Wild and Free breaks that mold. While I missed that dynamic a bit, the angst and tension, that push and pull that exists between two characters undeniably attracted to each other, but rarely on the same page, I understood fully why it wouldn't have worked here. Abel and Delilah are in tune with each other before they even meet. While I initially expected that this vulnerable female human might be freaked the hell out to discover supernatural creatures exist in her world and one wickedly hot, scarred vampire werewolf just claimed her as his own, I immediately understood why Delilah was so accepting of it all. It's part of the magic that exists between them. They knew, without question, that they belonged to each other.

"What I’d felt my whole life was not natural. The bond I was building with Abel wasn’t either, but it was strong and it was beautiful. The fact it was fate made sense."

The Three's plight to save the world involves a number of new characters, some we've met in previous books, some new personalities altogether. Witches, wolves, humans, vampires, wraiths, all bring something pivotal to the table in the quest to save humanity from evil supernatural immortals. What I loved so much about that was the individual, diverse voices Ashley gives to her characters. As she's done in almost every one of her books, Ashley progressively introduces a plethora of new faces as the storyline moves along, and before you know it, the central couple is surrounded by countless new people, new friends, an ever-growing family unit. And no matter how vast that crew becomes, each character, each personality, (in this case, each witch, vampire, wolf, etc) remains fresh and original and individual. I seriously love that about this author.

Unlike your garden variety paranormal romance, Wild and Free has that spicy Kristen Ashley touch that only she can do. This is PNR meets KA alpha meets KA biker deliciousness. It's paranormal rock and roll. It's the same KA alpha male mannerisms, those yummy looks and eye crinkles and sexy grins and that dark brooding nature with some vampire fangs and werewolf shape-shifting thrown in. It's the magic of witches and phantoms, wraiths and golem intermixed with the exasperated alpha male and his wild and free human mate that keeps him as amused as he is hungry for her. It's the sexually intense love story we've come to expect from this author, but this one can last for all eternity. This story, Wild and Free, the culmination of the Three series, the conclusion of Lucien and Leah, Callum and Sonia, and now Abel and Delilah's supernatural fate, is so much more than the romance between Abel and Delilah. It's a story of love and hope, of recognizing the common bonds between people of every shape and form, of good prevailing over evil, of living wild and free. Completely consuming, and unsurprisingly unputdownable, Wild and Free is the perfect, action-packed, sexy, suspenseful, magical finale to the Three series.

The gangs all here! Can I just say, right from the get go, that in this instance I loved the collective and the surprise coupling in Wild and Free much more that I ever expected to. Dare I say it, even more that the main couple of Delilah and Abel.

I will also suggest that if you haven’t read the first two books in the series it is a must before diving into this one. Even a re-read would be a good idea if it’s been awhile. There is just so much crammed from situations from previous books. It felt like the best kind of reunion with Leah and Lucien, Sonia and Callum, and so many more!

Okay, back to our main couple Delilah and Abel. There was NO fussing about. These two knew what they wanted and needed. Even if they didn’t, their supernatural bodies did. I kinda liked it. It was a nice change. No cat and mouse, no silly misunderstandings, just a primal knowledge that they must be together.

I did feel at times that I had been thrust into the Chaos series. Abel and his family along with Delilah’s are very much in the biker world. The language, the staccato dialogue and the biker slang was abundant and at times kind of overdone. (Sorry there just seemed to be a bit of a crossover going on) But whatever, it worked.

Now about that surprise coupling that went on. OH.MAH.GAH! When will that book come out? Cause damn. I need more of that. Yes, please and thank you. Not gonna say a peep about who it is. Savor the surprise.

Also, there was a bit of a lull about 75-80% in. The waiting for the ultimate crescendo wasn’t just bothering Abel and Delilah. It was getting to me too. But have no fear, KA kicks it up in the end and we get a heart wrenching bittersweet ending and one her famous epilogues.

So in summation; I liked it very much; I just wished I liked the main couple more than I did, at least as much as the other couples in the previous books in the series.

My Review:

Kristen Ashley is my favorite author. Her books make my heart pound, get my pulse racing, make me cry, make me laugh and wrap me, always, in a cocoon of family, friendship and love. Could you ask anything more from a writer? And Wild And Free, the third installment in the Three Series, does all of that, and much, much more.

Wild and Free contains some of the rawest, animalistic, sensual and gorgeous love scenes I have ever read. Abel and Lilah, destined to be mates for life, need to be able to draw you in to their characters and their fated mating for this to be a believable story. And boy, do they ever! Just when I think Ms. Ashley could not possibly create a more Alpha male than she already has, she writes Abel, who is a hybrid and who mates like nobody’s business!!

This book contains everything you could possibly hope for in a paranormal romance. There is incredible, heart-stopping action, hot sex, other-wordly beings, super-hot sex, wolves, vampires and heart-pounding sex! I absolutely loved Abel and his story broke my heart. Lilah is a kick-ass heroine, brave, uninhibited, sexual. loyal and loving. These two together just might save the world.

I could not put this book down and was literally swooning at every page. Even if you are not a big fan of paranormal romance, and I do not read a lot of them, Wild And Free is a MUST-READ. This book is truly Kristen Ashley at her finest. She is not afraid to pull the punches and make sacrifices when they work for the story. And for that, I love her. Be prepared to be wowed. Wild And Free has loads of unexpected twists and turns and it is a vital addition to your KA library!!

I should start off by telling you off the bat that Kristen Ashley is if not my favorite, definitely within my favorite 3 authors of all time. Her books are auto buys for me and have never let me down. When I crack open one of her books I know I am in for an emotionally charged and extremely fulfilling experience. I have reread several of my favorites 5, 6, 7 times over. Every time is like the first time and when I reach the last word in one of her stories my heart and mind are in their happy place. Due to these facts writing this review was a bit of a double edged sword. I was ecstatic at the opportunity to read and review an arc of the last installment in the Three Series. With the joy came the realization that when I came to the end the series would be finished and it would be a bittersweet farewell. Most of all was the pressure (I put on myself) to provide a review that would do justice to what was an exhilarating, heart wrenching, all emotionally charged finale to this series. I laughed, I cried, I cheered, I fell in love as I do every time with her characters. For those of you who have not read Kristen Ashley’s work ( you don’t know what you are missing) I will tell you that in my opinion this is not a standalone work and books 1 and 2 in the series should be consumed before reading “Wild and Free”. In addition as I know from experience that once you crack the cover on the first book you will be entranced, then I suggest you visit her personal website and review the suggested reading order for all her series as often characters and storylines intertwine at some point within several books. http://www.kristenashley.net/titles/reading-order/

It may be difficult to express how great a read this was for me as I can reveal very little without spoiling the book for all of you. In “Wild and Free” we meet Abel and Delilah the last pair of mates who along with the mates we meet in “Until the sun falls from the sky” and “With everything I am” are known as The Three. The Three are burdened with saving the world for a variety of immortals (all those who do not fall in line with those waging war) and mankind as a whole. This release contains an additional HEA which I was ecstatic to discover. I will not reveal the hero in this pairing, but baby it was so worth the wait. Abel is a werewolf/vampire hybrid who is an ALPHA who displays an endearing vulnerability; he has lived his life believing that he is a monster. Abel is 200+ years old and has been raised and lived amongst multiple generations of the same mortal family, and when the story begins he has never met another immortal. Abel has lived many many years yearning for his mate to make him complete. His life has been filled with question marks as all of his abilities/skills are a learn as you go work in progress. Abel does not know all that being the immortal he is entails. Delilah is a “biker babe” who has lived her life feeling as if there is something missing, an ache which makes her feel physical pain. When Abel and Delilah meet they finally feel whole, finding within each other what/who they had long been seeking. Their relationship is filled with adrenaline, passion (hottttt), and eventually love. When Abel meets the other 2 couples who form the three: Lucien and Leah and Callum and Sonia, he will be enlightened with a load of information so he can truly embrace all that he is. This story will take you on a rollercoaster of adventure and emotion as much is sacrificed to save the human race from enslavement. Mortals and Immortals alike embrace each other’s uniqueness’ and unite to fight for the greater good. “Wild and Free” is filled with sexy times and all the goodness that a Kristen Ashley book entails. Now go on click away, you can thank me later……

While I do enjoy some crude and raunchy narrative, (I have been known to read some very spicy erotica’s) I am not a huge fan of the c*** word etc. It was used quite often and I felt that it was diminishing to the intimate scenes, at times making them feel less genuine and meaningful.

AN AWESOME READ; now it’s on to wait for her next release quite impatiently… If all else fails I can always reread one of my favorite Kristen Ashley books as they are a sure thingJ.

How would I describe Wild and Free? IT'S TOTALLY WILD AND FREE!!!

One advice that I can give you before you read this is... Free your mind! Open up to more possibilities and never let your imagination run low while reading this. It's a must because this right here is a masterpiece!

Abel and Delilah are destined to be together. From start to finish, that is the main point.

Let me try break it down:

The characters...

Abel is a kind of character that is part bad-ass, part gentle and part wise.

Bad-ass ➸ I think it's a given fact that all KA heroes have this characteristic.

Gentle ➸ I tell y'all... When Abel is gentle, he's SUPER GENTLE! I expected him to be very gentle with Lilah... What I didn't expect is him being so gentle with his family too (his umm.. mom and brothers). There's an innocence in him that just gets to you as a reader. His lack of understanding of what he really is taught him to tread carefully in life and never let anything threaten his family. He thinks he's a monster, but he's far from it! My favorite scenes are the ones wherein he discovers that he's worth so much more than he thinks. I personally think that if I'm Delilah, I would also love and cherish those times. :)

Wise ➸ I think he got this from the family who reared through out the generations. He also got this from his years in this world. I like it when he explains things to Lilah. :)

Delilah is a character that you think you'd write off at the start. She just didn't shine that much to me when it all started. However, I promise y'all... YOU'D APPRECIATE HER as you read on. She's strong, she accepts change, she's concerned, AS IN SO CONCERNED about other people.

Strong ➸ Her dad's a biker. How stronger can you get when you're surrounded by bikers since birth? ;p
Accepts change ➸ She doesn't only accept change. She welcomes it with open arms! He meeting Abel and being with him in a span of days is crazy if you think about it too much, but it's supernatural! You wouldn't even bat your eyes. However, you'd think that she'd fight it some (the destiny that is), but no... As a reader, I felt that Lilah really waited for this to happen. It was what she was hoping for, so when she go it, she grabbed on tightly, swift changes be damned. I like that about her. A LOT.

She's concerned ➸ She cares for people deeply. I love that she has one hell of a support system. She needed it for this book to work. Her friendship with other people got her through the hard times, but I would also like to say that her being a friend is a good thing for the other characters. First, she's fun. She's fun to be around with and never beats around the bush. She gets along with Leah and Sonia for sure! Second, I love how she thinks of Abel first. She's a person who'd think of others before herself. It's a good trait that all humans should have. I appreciate that in her.

Now onto the story...

What happens when a couple meets for the first time, finds out that they're destined for each other and then become major players in a war that they didn't even know existed?

That is what y'all should find out here!

I had a really good time reading about Abel and Lilah's roles in the war. The love part is downright perfect while drama is just... T_____________T so memorable. I remember crying and just crying for the beauty of it all. There were lots of tear-jerker scenes (in my opinion, since I cry pretty easily when my heart is being touched). It's refreshing too because among all the books of KA, I think this one has the most epic war scenes and by far, is the most action-packed! Once again, my "FREE YOUR MIND" advice applies. There were A LOT of unexpected twists and turns, but it all turned out good. I loved reading about the other two couples. I love their short POVs. It gave me a glimpse of their lives. I love knowing that the couples I rooted for are doing quite well given the circumstances.

The ending is satisfying, I breathed a sigh of relief for all of them and I'm very happy because finally... they can live the rest of their lives together. It wraps up all the other characters nicely too. I'm happy for Leah and Lucien, Sonia and Callum, Abel and Lilah and umm... YURI! Haha! See? Are you more intrigued now? Please be intrigued and read it! It's worth it!

It's worth the wait, worth the money and worth the effort!

Awesome, awesome story! :)

Definitely a 5!!!

Wow.

Just, wow.

I’d expected a lot of this book—the end of the trilogy—and it lived up to my expectations. There’s so much to go through so I’ll get right to it.

I loved Abel and Delilah’s relationship. Like all of KA’s heroes, Abel was badass. He was intense, loving, and very protective of his mate. That being said, he also let Delilah do what she wanted—and if he didn’t he explained why and Delilah would talk about it with him. Delilah—or Lilah to those close to her—was so sweet and so very charismatic that I loved reading about her and reading interactions with her.

The novel was primarily in Lilah’s and Abel’s point of view until around 40 or 50 percent into the story, where it would switch between multiple people’s points of view. It was a little weird at first, especially since I was so used to Abel and Delilah, but it worked so the reader could get what was happening. It also helped keep the mystery alive. (And I’ve got to say, what KA did at the end, switching between multiple spectators’ points of view and the action, truly connected with me. I loved that aspect and loved that it gave us such an emotional connection to everything and everyone.)

The novel was long, like most of KA’s novels. It’s 615 pages—and that gets a little hard sometimes. A lot happens. There were times when I’d feel like so much had happened, and then I’d look to check my position in the book and I was only at 40 percent. There’s more? I’d ask. At some points, I’d have to stop and give my mind a rest and then get back to it. However, after about 50 percent, I felt like it was a different story. The first half was Abel and Lilah. The second half was the story of all of The Three. I feel like KA would have benefitted better by splitting this book up into two—making one Abel & Lilah’s story, and the other the conclusion of the action, flipping between everyone’s POVs.

I will say though, I loved seeing the rest of The Three there. I definitely missed Lucian, Leah, Callum, and Sonia.

Like I said before—a lot happens in this book. There is so much action and angst and love that it makes you deeply connect to the characters. Abel’s story is a devastating one and makes me happy that he’s found such a fantastic and loving mate. Lilah’s story is sad, but unfortunately I felt like it paled in comparison to everything else happening and all of the other backstories that I didn’t really connect much to her backstory.

There was so much love, hope, and acceptance in this novel. I always love books that leave me with a sense of love and hope at the end, and this book did that for me.

While it isn’t super-duper necessary to read the other novels in the series before this one, I really, truly, and highly recommend it. There will be parts where you will be confused, but KA does a great job at quickly summarizing everything that goes on. But seriously though, you need to read the other Three’s stories—they’re fantastic too.

All in all, I highly recommend this novel if you love fantasy, romance, action, and a little angst all in one. It’s most definitely worth it.

The story of Delilah and Abel was a great story to complete the series, though I was sad to see it end. I hope there is a way to bring these characters back and see how they all are doing!

I loved how Abel was so strong, but so doubting of himself because of his not understanding what he truly was. The angst that is displayed in his internal thoughts and dialogue with Delilah and later on his new "brothers" was beautiful to read and heart wrenching to experience. I feel that is one of my favorite things about KA books. The way she writes brings me, or you the reader, into her story in such a way that it is like we know the characters and feel what they are experiencing. Delilah was crazy and actually somewhat unrelatable to me, but I loved her because of that. I could never just pack up and leave, get attacked and fall in love and accept so many CRAZY things that quickly or wholeheartedly. However, while it was somewhat tweaking me that she did, especially since the other books showed the females more hesitent to follow the line, there is a key section in the book that when I read it...ding ding ding..clicked and made me love her!

This story has the BEST secondary characters in my opinion AND I love that there is like a second mini story of love and humor (which hopefully will be built into another whole story) between Yuri and Aurora. The side stories of her father, his friends, the other vampires, the biker community enriched this story and added many dimensions to an already fantastic series. I wondered how she would build a community in this story since Abel did not know other vampires or werewolves and while not expecting to see bikers, can that ever be wrong...NO!

This was a fantastic, and in a few key aspects surprising, ending to the trilogy. I felt going into each book that yes there would be some heartache, but that the Three would live. I mean how can there be romances if the three die? So without spoilers yes this book has some death scenes (left me in tears and on one shock), but it is not who I expected.

Memorable Quotations
he lifted his head and looked right to me. And my world stopped. But my tears didn't.

I knew no matter what became of me, I'd live wild and free and full for the rest of my life. Because he would give that to me. And watching him pour those words into my soul, part of it died, knowing I couldn't give him the same thing.

"Acceptance is a word not in Delilah Johnson's vocabulary," "I am sure you've noted why." ..."because she sees no difference. She doesn't have to accept, because she doesn't even begin to judge."...."The power of that, Lucien, coupled with her capacity for love, loyalty, hope...There is nothing more powerful than that on the planet. Delilah is not all that we are. Delilah represents all that we can be."

Uh huh we'll.....wild and free did not do it for me, unfortunately I have to agree with some of the reviews. We waited so long and the last part of the three was just boring. For me Lucian and Leah story was the best. Abel and Delilah story did not connect for me, Abel was not an alpha like Lucian the mighty warrior and callum the wolve king. Sad to say but I felt the story kind off drag and it felt long. The story just lost me, I only saw light when Sonia and callum were in the picture or Lucian and Leah. Other than that the story lost me.

Despite the fact that I've been questioning KA's books recently, I was excited to see this one being published because I have been waiting for the conclusion to this series. Unfortunately, this book was a BIG disappointing.

So, I'm lying in my high queen-sized bed with its big fluffy, white kick-ass comforter in my little upstairs corner bedroom that has a matching light beechwood dresser, bureau, and two end tables. These tables have drawers filled with knick-knacks and books and such. I'm wearing my favorite flannel pajamas because it's cold and I want to just enjoy cuddling up with my new book. I've just finished teasing my hair and putting all sorts of products in it... OK, so maybe I didn't do that. But this is an example of several things that have been really bothering me about KA's books. The endless descriptions of rooms and interior decor just don't do anything for me. Why? Because it's not even necessary to set the scene. One description of Abel's basement to show how he's been living. OK. The description of the restaurant and the Biltmore and everywhere else? Who cares? Because quite honestly, based on KA's descriptions of characters' clothing? I'm so not interested in her opinions on interior decorating.

Second, Delilah the "biker dog" to quote another reviewer. This biker theme is another thing that KA has been using lately and to each their own. Unfortunately, it does nothing for me. On top of that, Abel seems to be the dumbest of all KA's characters that I've met. Although, I never read any of her Chaos series so maybe there are dumber ones. But he pretty much just grunts, growls, and lowers my IQ every time he has any dialogue.

But as every reader of KA's books knows, these are things that you just put up with. However, there was no payoff with this book. The characters, as other have noted, are really dull and boring. No fight, no anticipation, no thrill of the hunt between Abel and Delilah. Instead, it's just insta-love with a lot of continuous crude sex. Hey, I like a little (or a lot) of hot sex in my romances, but there was nothing hot about Abel and Delilah. I'm surprised they didn't fall asleep, so boring was their sex life.

Honestly, it's as though KA's publisher forced her to write this book to finish off the series. So KA finally took a break from writing about bikers to--you guessed it--write about a biker and his loser biker girlfriend. The only times the book was of any interest is when "supporting characters" were the focus: Lucien (hardly any), Callum (some, more than Lucien), Yuri, Gregor, etc. Abel and Delilah--not sure why they are the main characters.

I thoroughly enjoyed reading the first two books in this series and anxiously awaited the final installment. What a disappointment! It didn't hold a candle to Lucian and Leah's story or to Callum and Sonia's. The main character Delilah, spoke like a uneducated moron. Her dialog was so ridiculous that it was painful to get through. Her exclamation to everything was "holy shitoly"! And let's not forget her overuse of the word "awesome". Yes, she was a biker chick, but that doesn't mean she should only have a handful of words in her vocabulary. KA has written countless stories about rough, hardcore motorcycle men but they always sounded intelligent and insightful. Unfortunately Delilah did not and Abel wasn't much better. Frankly both main characters lacked dimension and the relationship development was virtually non-existent. Yes, we understand they were destined for each other but give the reader a little romance and more than 2 days to fall in love. Sheesh! And the sex scenes, yikes....BORING! I'm all for passionate, erotic sex scenes, unfortunately this book didn't have any.
On the positive side: even though the main characters were flat, the secondary characters were a hoot, particularly the witches. And the romance between Yuri and Aurora was sweet and endearing. I wish the story centered around them. At times I found myself shedding a tear or two over the characters from the first two books. Lucien, Leah, Yuri, Gregor, Callum and Sonia brought emotion and life to this book. Their reoccurrence on the pages of this novel kept it interesting enough to finish. Thus the three star rating.
I must say that I didn't have high expectations for this story (even though I hoped) because I haven't really enjoyed a KA novel in over 18 months. The real deal: Wild and Free wasn't a awful as Jagged, Knight or Creed but it definitely wasn't in the same league as Mystery Man, Law Man, The Gamble, Sweet Dreams, Lady Luck etc. Her writing has changed, stories rushed, and characters flat. It's unlikely I'll continue reading any of her new stuff. I'll make do with rereading the KA of old. You can never get bored with Tate and Mitch on your shelves!

Amazing end to the long awaited final book in The Three series. I loved everything about this story and was surprised how emotional it turned out to be. Abel & Lilah were perfect for each other, he was dark & brooding, while she was light & feisty. I enjoyed their interactions & laughed quite a bit while reading it. Seeing all the characters from the previous books was so much fun too. I fell hard for someone I didn't see coming at all (I won't spoil for anyone). It was a pleasant surprise. Meeting the new characters was awesome too. I adore Abel's family & Lilah's Dad stole my heart (his description just made me love him more. Mullet anyone?). There was action, drama, hilarious moments and a beautiful love story. Although my heart broke at one point, I think the series ended perfectly. I will miss these characters, old & new but will visit them again like I do with all of Kristen's books. 5 Stars!

Kristen Ashley....you truly have a gift. This was not my favorite KA book, but the last couple of chapters and the Epilouge made up for it. I'm not the type of reader who cries at books, but the ending made me cry the way I would if I was actually there. The ending of the this book was your best work in my opinion.

Until about 50% through this book, I knew this was going to be a 5 Star read for me. It was incredibly exciting and so much fun... but then from 50% onwards, it kind of went a bit downhill, became stagnant and began to feel a little choppy... and so I've dropped a star because of the inconsistency and ended with a 4.5 rating instead. However, I must mention that this is a long book... kind of like a bumper edition so I'm not surprised that I started to become uninterested halfway though.

But as a whole, I had fun reading this book. I'm kind of satisfied with the end result. The first two books in this series were a million times better, but I'm fairly happy with the end of it all :)

I was very disappointed by this book. I've been eagerly listening to the previous two books on audio and this one fell flat. Lots of crude sex. The language distracted from the story. It felt like someone else had written the story not knowing anything about the previous two. Not sure I'll try a book by this author again. I sooo wanted to love this one like the previous two!

I'll admit I was both excited and apprehensive about this book because while I loved 'Until The Sun Falls From The Sky' and 'With Everything I Am' I've been so disappointed in Kristen's newer books and I really wanted to love this.
It started well but it became apparent early on that something was missing, the relationship between Abel and Delilah was just too easy where was the conflict and drama we've come to expect and yes this is explained later in the book but it still felt lacking but I told myself it didn't matter the story had enough excitement and conflict without the added relationship drama but that was the thing while it should have been exciting, I mean the Three are together and it's end of the world stuff, plots, drama etc but for huge sections I was bored, I know I couldn't believe it either, bored!
Then in amongst all the drama another character meets their mate, ok so instead of the relationship drama coming from the main couple it's going to come from these, yes, well no, there's no drama, their relationship is plain sailing as well, different but I'll go with it but while this book is lacking any real romance there's no shortage of sex however, there's tons of it.
It's not all bad, there's some great characters, new and old and it's funny in places, like Yuri for example he's never been my favourite character, he's always just been there but in this book I really warmed to him and his dry humour.
Ultimately if I'm being honest I'm disappointed in this book, it's been such a long wait and it wasn't the book I'd hoped it would be, is it a book I'd read again? No it's not whereas the previous two I've read several times.
I think I'm just going to have to stick with Kristen's early work, 'At Peace' 'Motorcycle Man' 'Golden Dynasty' 'Until the Sun Falls from the Sky' so many of her early books are my 'go to' reads so I'll stick with them.

Kristen ashley is an amazing human being and author.
This book made me so happy when it included other people's perspective.
Abel was a very confused man quite disrespectful but I loved him. He was hot!!
Delilah was awesome she was strong and sweet at the same time. I found it annoying that she had to be the most powerful but who cares.

An absolutely Fantastic read... KA has kept the best for last!

I felt like I waited fro AGES for this one but oh man, was it worth the wait!

Abel was smoking hot and (De)Lilah was a trademark KA leading lady; fierce, strong, loyal and funny.

Callum and Lucien were hot and sexy, but Abel... HOT DAMN! that man made me squirm in my seat regularly throughout the book.

Would recommend this to anyone, whether you like paranormal or not!

HOLY SH!TOLY!

What a magnificent finale to a kicka$$ paranormal romance trilogy. This story was jam packed with amazingly hot…

Vampires
And
Werewolves
And a
Hybrid

Oh my!

I could not tear myself away from my kindle. Held my breath with each turn of the page. Unable to let go because I had the absolute need to see where this story was leading me. Totally consumed within the world Kristen Ashley has created. Once again, this author wowed me by penning yet another 5 star read.

As in the first two novels (which I highly recommend reading prior to “Wild and Free”), the ongoing threat to enslave the human race is looming and it’s up to ‘The Three’ to help save the world, or die trying. The fate of mankind lies in the hands of three gifted couples - the Mighty Vampire Lucian and his human bride Leah. Super sexy King of the Werewolves Callum and his she-wolf queen Sonia. And Abel, part vampire, part wolf, all Alpha yumminess and his badass biker b!tch Delilah. With Gregor at the helm, the stage is set, enemies have aligned, the ugliness of war is inevitable and all is at stake. ‘The Three’ have now come together and they are a force to be reckoned with.

Wild and Free is so much more than Abel and Lilah’s romance. KA treats her fans to a saga filled with angst, plot twists and a dynamic cast of characters which brought me laughter, as well as to tears, while overwhelming me with sizzling passionate moments practically setting my kindle on fire. Now, just one Alpha hero with all their dominant ways and sexy talk is enough to send my heart racing. Imagine the intensity of four gorgeous men! Holy sh! Read more ›

--> November 25th 2012 <--- A day that will be forever etched in my mind as 'The day' I read With Everything I Am (The Three #2). The day I also got a tiny tease of Wild and Free...

Sooo... with just a month shy of TWO YEARS we FINALLY! have Wild and Free (The Three #3)
*Who else is doing their Happy Dance with their Kindle right now?? I know I AM!*

I can't tell you how much I have been hanging out for Wild and Free. To be able to finally read the 3rd instalment and for it to actually live up to all that I thought it would be! *Huge smiles*

Abel and Delilah together are just WOW! Abel by himself... SWOON! Abel has to be the roughest KA Alpha yet! And that is definitely saying something! You will LOVE him!

Okay, into the book itself. The Three... apart from the story of Abel and Delilah, we also have the whole clan, Lucian and Leah, Callum and Sonia, Yuri and Gregor along with the families of all three. Its a huge family affair, as it should be with the fight for humanity in their wake. There is alot of drama, alot of love and some heartbreaking loses.

I loved this! I am so happy I finally got to read the last installment at the same time heartbroken that it's over. You will love this! To everyone who has been hanging out for this as much as I have, you will not be disappointed! K. A. as usual gives us what we crave for.
