Review:This is my favorite series by her. It was fun and I love me some Ian but I was disappointed that there was no growth for Leila. It's the last book yet she doesn't come close to resolving anything with her family. Just kept stuffing everything and tabling it for later. If anything I think Vlad is starting to drag her down. Review:Finishing this book was an act of sheer will power.
It started well enough, but then it veered off to a place where trite and tired plots live. Ugh.
I think this series is better forgotten. And I'm sad for it, cause I did enjoy The Horsemen series a lot.

Review:I must start by saying that I didn't read `First Drop of Crimson' ( Spade's book) and `Eternal Kiss of Darkness' ( Mencheres' book) before I went onto `This Side of the Grave'. Maybe I should have as there is reference to Spade and Mencheres' relationships which are talked about in this book. Their stories are Night Huntress World # 1 and # 2. Review:After reading all of the Night Huntress books I was dying to read Denise and Shade's story. This was a great story. I listened to it on audiobook and the narrator does a spectacular job of capturing the characters' voice and their emotions. I love listening to these books even more than I love reading them.
