The Girl from Everywhere
The Girl from Everywhere

Review:What a fun read! The Girl from Everywhere takes its readers on an exploration of history. Both real history and fantastical history in the form of maps. If someone believed it was real and made a map, Captain Slate could travel there on his ship.

But Captain Slate is on a mission . . . to find a map that can take him to Hawaii, circa 1864 when his wife was still alive. Trouble is, his daughter, Nixie, is certain this will erase her existence.

I loved this book. I loved the historic... Read more

Nightingale Way: An Eternity Springs Novel

Review:I have read all the Eternity Spring books and Lovers' Leap is a wonderful story. You will not be disappointed. The characters are well written the descriptions of the settings are so well written you feel as though you are there. This series is so good you want keep reading them over and over. I just love it when things work out the way they should, especially when the town "bad boy" is involved. My eyes have leaked a few times and I have laughed out loud while reading this touching story. Homecoming (Sweet Hearts of Sweet Creek Book 1)
Homecoming (Sweet Hearts of Sweet Creek Book 1)

Review:It is hard for most of us to really understand a life so filled with tragic times but I know that it happens to many people. Sheryl’s life was filled with both physical and emotional abuse. I can understand why she found it hard to forgive her stepfather and step-brother. Homecoming is a very moving story of loss, anger, bitterness, forgiveness, reconciliation and LOVE.
I loved the story of Sheryl and Mark. Through the love shown by Mark and his family Sheryl found her way back to God. I ... Read more

Mystic City (Mystic City Trilogy)
Mystic City (Mystic City Trilogy)

Review:This book takes place in an alternate Manhattan. There was an explosion, where mystics were blamed and now the polar ice caps have melted. This leads to flooding in Manhattan and a clear division of people. The rich and mobsters running everything live in the upper reaches of the city, called the Aeries. The poor and mystics are forced to live in the lower, flooded areas. The mystics are also kept on a tight leash. They need to register and are kept drained of their powers so they don't cause an... Strange the Dreamer
Strange the Dreamer

Review:Lazlo Strange grew up as a foundling in the monastery with only stories of a far off wonderful land for friends. The land is called Weep, though Lazlo is sure that isn't its real name. He remembers the day clearly when the name changed, it's the one time he's sure he's experienced magic, but he can't remember what it used to be. As Lazlo grows and moves to the library to work there, the stories of Weep are still his companions. In his free time, he hunts down more references to the far off land ... Read more

You Don't Have to Say You Love Me
You Don't Have to Say You Love Me

Review:This was a good book with very likeable, human characters. I had a harder time losing myself in the story because it is set in the UK, which I would forget until there was some jarring reference to it. (I'm from the US.) I'm also not into fashion, so the references to the main character's work in the fashion industry weren't interesting to me. Both just personal preference, however. This was a good book, and I enjoyed it, but I probably won't read it again. Read more
