A Coming of Age YA Romance (Pushing the Limits) - Take Me On
A Coming of Age YA Romance (Pushing the Limits) - Take Me On

Review:I love, love, love Katie McGarry's Pushing the Limits series. TAKE ME ON was no exception. I loved reading about West and Haley. As always, McGarry's characterization skills are amazing, as are her abilities to create compelling relationships. And I'm not just talking about the romances, which are always packed with chemistry. Complex friendships and family dynamics are always a sure find and part of what pulls me so deeply into her books that I don't want to climb back out again.

Crossing the Line (Pushing the Limits)

Review:If you have been following my reviews then you know how big a fan of Katie McGarry I am. She is one of the most talented authors out there and her stories not only suck you in but once you are finished, they stay with you after. I read a lot of books and sometimes when you try to think back about them they tend to blend and converge, this is only natural.

But this is not the case with the books written by McGarry. I can still remember Pushing the Limits and Dare You To as if I read them y... Read more

Review:Breanna Miller has always been known as the freakishly smart good girl. She's determined to be less invisible during her senior year before fleeing Snowflake, Kentucky but she never considered being noticed would change her life in so many ways.

Thomas 'Razor' Turner is one of the more volitale young members of the Reign of Terror MC. Devilishly handsome, fiercely protective and intelligent, he's also haunted by the death of his mother and a slew of unanswered questions.

The Haunting of Sunshine Girl [Black Friday Signed Edition
The Haunting of Sunshine Girl [Black Friday Signed Edition

Review:The Haunting of Sunshine Girl is what I would call a fluffy horror book. Aimed at younger readers, it would be the perfect balance of horror and humour.

I love creepy books that will scare me, and while I didn’t find this one to be particularly creepy, there were a few moments that surprised me, with paranormal twists that I didn’t expect. Going into Sunshine Girl, I knew it was going to be about a girl at a haunted house, but the luisearches who banish ghosts made it really unique.

Visitors (Pathfinder)

Review:Another well written, patient series by one of my favorite authors. This book helped me get over the nagging desire to be able to go back in time. If you like this kind of thing, try King's version of the JFK assassination "11/22/63" Read more

Bad Girls Don't Die From Bad to Cursed (Bad Girls Don't Die Novels)

Review:Book number two starts off quite a few months after the first book finished its story... And in From Bad To Cursed the sisters will have another dose of the supernatural. Sadly I wasn't able to enjoy this sequel as much as I thought I would. I still love the writing style, which is engaging, flowing and makes you fly through the story. But I wasn't so sure about the plot. The idea behind From Bad To Cursed is an interesting one and definitely involves a healthy dose of creepy, BUT I wasn't so ha... Read more

Review:Waiver/Potential Spoiler Alert: I am the only person I know who did NOT gush over the "brilliance" of "When We Were Liars." So when I saw that comparisons were being made, I pretty much had the ending before I read the first page. So why, then, did I purchase it? Because Lauren Oliver wrote it. I knew her writing would be well-crafted without being so deliberately stylistic. I knew her characters would be likable. I thought all this would make it better--but it didn't. A plot twist is al... I Shall Wear Midnight (Discworld Book 38)

Review:Thoroughly enjoy Terry Pratchett's books. I really liked this series. Excellent characterizations and the "wee free men" though having only a small part in this story compared to the other three books are a riot. (literally, lol.) Read more
