Thrillers
Review:Action, intrigue, believable, realistic in the current world situation.. A combination of archeology, history, religion and combined to make, in my opinion, an exceptionally outstanding read., Well defined characters, the hero a sort of Indiana Jones and his partner but not as overboard. US Spec Ops, Interpol, Vatican guards, Rome Police, all combined as a working group to thwart the destruction of the Vatican and murder of the Pope. If you miss this one with all its elements then you missed ... Read more
Review:I really enjoyed this book. Somewhere along the lines of Dan Brown or James Rollins genre, it fits well. I highly recommend this book to anyone who enjoys an archaeological thriller. Kevin Tumlinson is one of my new favorite authors Read more
Review:I liked that not everything went Riggs' way in this book. I also liked how the Eden system is coming together as a viable place for biotics to coexist.
I do think Riggs is a bit too arrogant at times which I find annoying.
This book and series is for anyone who likes a good space battle with a good story line. Read more
Review:I was very disappointed in this book. I guess the first clue was that the author's bio blurb was badly in need of editing.I mean did someone not proof-read this, especially since it was on the back cover? The book itself was very slim. Its appearance kind of reminded me of a book from as series like "Sweet Valley High" only a lot more expensive! The plot was so unbelievable it is was...well...unbelievable. The main character, Hawk, would find himself in a dire, almost inescapable situation and ... Read more
Review:I liked everything, the plot, the action and the no nonsense Sam Flatt. I wish I had a textbook of what Sam does with computers, it's amazing. Can't wait for the next book. Would like to read some of Sam's military adventures too! Read more
Review:While reading through the latest in Stephen England's Shadow Warriors series, I was struck by a feeling of familiarity that I struggled to pin down. Eventually, it hit me; Harry Nichols' latest adventure hit me in the same way that Brad Thor's first few Scot Harvath tales had, and I found myself grinning at the comparison. Lest you misunderstand, there's no aping present; rather, England's voice as a writer, his pacing, and his command of both action and character development are of a similar te... Read more
Review:Brad Thor books for me are always interesting and easy read. Easy read is a compliment! I always look forward to reading the book and can't wait to see how it unfolds. Scot Harvath is a character that you are rooting for to succeed. You know that he will but you like seeing the process and his interactions with all the other characters.
Very enjoyable!!! Read more
Review:Stephen England has written an excellent debut thriller. Pandora's Grave throttles up from the first chapter and doesn't stop until the end.
He weaves history, suspense, and politics for an intriguing story that takes us from Tehran, to Langley, to Jerusalem and introduces a cast of characters who are all critical to the story. To add to the suspense, there's a sleeper among the U.S. agents and we're left to figure out who it might be.
It takes a talented author to provide histor... Read more
Review:Sinclair writes a real protagonist who questions his own motivations, who actually gets hurt, who is unsure of his future. Rather than a superhero who can do no wrong, Carl Logan is all too human, and you can't help but cheer for him. Read more
