Review:The Quiet Book is a precious collection of *different kinds of quiet* such as coloring-in-the-lines-quiet and trying-not-to-hiccup-quiet. The illustrations are a soft palate of earthy pastels and the child-animals are absolutely adorable. There are a couple of reasons why I truly love this book and would highly recommend. 1) It's an entertaining way to help children notice when quiet arises naturally. 2) This book encourages children to discover the emotions behind different kinds of quiet - be ... Review:Leslie Patricelli is our very favorite toddler book author. Quiet Loud is our second favorite book of hers behind Blankie, but they are all well-loved in our house. The baby featured in the illustrations is just the cutest thing. Read more
Review:Like Brown Bear Brown Bear, this board book is bright & keeps a toddler's attention. This is the 2nd one I buy as it is a great gift. All of Bill Martin's books are cute, bright & children really like them. Read more
Review:I have a four year old son with speech delay. His speech teacher told us that they were working on labeling and identifying actions at school. Based on reviews, I thought this book would help him practice labeling and identifying actions at home.
As soon as I opened this book, I knew I made the right decision. He was very responsive and enjoying every single page. (Maybe the teacher is already using this book at the school. I should've asked..)

Review:I love Gitanjali and needed to replace my worn out copy. I returned one to Amazon because it was so badly designed as to be hard to read. This one is only somewhat better. All the poems are run together as though it is one big prose piece. I kept it because I was tired of shopping, but I'm disappointed. Read more
Review:Hard pages, hard cover, small size pages, and of course the colors and whimsy that we all remember from Dr. Seuss. The book is approximately 5" x 6" (no ruler close by), so beginning readers will have a good time reading it without having to hold a heavy book. I let my grandsons hold the book while I read it to them, and when they're ready to read it, I'll be thrilled to just sit and listen. Read more
Review:Good book for under 4 dollars. My son at 6 months thought it was great and wanted to read it a second time. He liked the large high contrast letters, flaps, and mommy saying noises. Mommy did not let him touch the flaps though because they could cause paper cuts esp with his current dexterity.
At 8 months old, my son still loves this book. Its in his top 5! Read more
Review:My daughter loves this book. It got her prepared for her first day of preschool and gave us things to talk about with pictures to help her better understand. Even after starting school we still read this book every night. Read more
Review:This was a Christmas gift for our 16 month old daughter who was not really into reading books with us. She loves this one though; I think because we sing to it. My oldest daughter, a 3 year old, loves it also. She sings along and tries to make up rhymes. I definitely recommend this book!! Read more
