Review:Cute, small book for toddlers! We got this book for our one and a half year olds. They liked it. If you don't mind a small book this is great. Probably a good little thing to take in the stroller or car. Richard Scarry is pretty classic at this point and the illustrations are cute. Read more
Review:Was disappointed in this because it was a microbook. My daughter had this book when she was a child and loved it. This was supposed to be a Christmas present and I don't know if it is even worth my time shipping it back and attempting to find a standard size book. Guess this will teach me to read reviews first. Review:Excellent book for learning to write alphabets. Letters are big and bright. I took other reviewers advice and used washable crayons instead of the marker that comes with the workbook. The crayons wipe off very easily with a dry paper towel or cloth. I did not give it five starts because the pages for C/D and O/P were swapped. I have A B O P E and later in the book ... M N C D Q. Review:You start off reading "The Tooth Book" wondering why Dr. Seuss, writing under his Theo. LeSieg pseudonym, is taking so much time answering the question "Who has teeth?" That is because the answer seems rather obvious and even more so when this book gets to the importance of teeth to chewing, smiling, speaking, and trapeze artists who are supporting their partners by something they are holding on to with their teeth. Then the book touches on a few animals that do not have teeth, and again you f... Read more
Review:My son loves nothing more than books that offer flaps that reveal items. In fact, we've never seen a 9-month old react so well to "Dear Zoo". So we though this was the perfect book to learn more about body parts. Unfortunately the quality of the book was awful. After two readings the flaps starting falling apart (this wasn't even my son's doing!). Then all of the other flaps just began to come off just by lifting them up and down. Even if the flaps were working I couldn't recommend this book to ... Read more
Review:I love the Carle books, but for whatever reason, my 5 month old daughter hates this one. In general, I recommend his books, just maybe not this one. She sees it and screams! Maybe my daughter just doesn't want to learn colors. Anyway, I usually adore the author. Read more
Review:HOW DO DINOSAURS COUNT TO TEN not only provides a way for very young children to learn to count. It also feeds into the way a kid thinks. The various dinosaurs who do the counting have human mons who cheer them on to learn. Kids will identify with the concept. A child can be a dinosaur today, and his Mom can be a person. Also Mom stays in the background making the dinosaur/child the center of attention, providing a supportive 'I can do it myself' climate. While cartoonish and playful, the ... Read more
Review:The books colorful pages and interaction with posed question to the lift-a-flap e hold my toddlers attention. This repetition of reading this book will provide my child the knowledge of what is OK to bite....like apples:) Read more
Review:This is a terrific sequel to Bear Snores On. The pictures are vibrant and appealing. The rhyming text is clever and whimsical and appropriate for children just learning how to talk through age 5-6. We love giving these two books as gifts and our son enjoys them as well. Read more
