Review:Excellent !!!
I bought this as a complementary to the two other popular kid books of the national geographic series (first big book of animals and first big book of dinosaurs) Like the other two that is perfect to widen the nature knowledge and imagination of my kid. Pages are full of colorful photos of a wide variety of sea organisms.
The cover might be misleading for those who expect an assortment of fish types. This book offers an excellent balance of fish, reptile, mammals, bir... Read more
Review:Mix Percy Jackson with the Hunger Games and a dash of Twilight, and you get the Olympian Challenger. This is a terrific YA Greek Fantasy book that's entertaining for adults too.
The narrator of the audiobook does a nice job, but she pauses between sentences a bit too often which makes her narration choppy at times.
I received a complimentary copy of this audiobook. This is my honest and voluntary review. Read more
Review:Beautiful book about the moon and what a father will do to make his daughter happy. The main problem of the book: I got a small size! I thought I bought the bigger version of it. But the story is still great and you can read it perfectly well. Read more
Review:In Kindle format the text is very small. There is a typo and I'm not fond of the part where the kid dives into 3 ft of water. That seems like something the author should have flagged. The info about the brain is great but it should be formatted to showcase the illustrations. Read more
Review:I learned so much while playing with this book! My knowledge of construction vehicles was always pretty lousy, right down there with my dinosaur know how. But there is so much motion in this book, due to the pop up action and cutaway illustrations, that I can at last get a real feel for what a crawler excavator is. So nice to see a dump truck that really dumps the garbage! A scissor lift that really lifts, and a combine harvester that opens to reveal what goes on inside a combine harvester. All... Read more
Review:Dr. Seuss books are a favorite around our home at bedtime with their fantastic illustrations, tongue twisting prose and timely messages. Most Dr. Seuss books can easily be enjoyed by children of all ages "The Lorax" is no exception its pages glisten with brightly colored landscapes, interesting creatures and an imperative message. If you don't have it you should pick it in fact pick up a few others while your at it. I would recommend Read more
Review:This set of books (reading, writing, and math) have been great for my son but he was only starting Kindergarten when we started it and it was just the right level. So, I would think it would be too easy for the average 1st grader. My son loves Star Wars and these books have been very motivating for him. They are fairly similar to the types of worksheets that he is doing at school. Great extra practice for breaks and weekends! Read more
Review:My son used the book in the summer between kinder and first grade. He and I both loved it and the content was great. He was very prepared for first grade and his teacher is quite impressed with just how prepared he was. Read more
Review:This book was interesting. At the beginning she talked all about her lunch box, and she bragged about it too. I liked this book because it was funny. The words were not to hard for me to read.
I think lots of first graders should read this book. Read more
Review:We do summer workbooks. This is a great workbook, but based on what my kid learned in Kindergarten he cruised through this and I had to buy the 2nd grade book to challenge him just a bit. It has basic measuring, basic addition, subtraction, weather, community, long/short vowels, spelling, basic time and money. Grade 2 has seemed to use what he knows but gives that extra bit of thought Read more
