Review:As part of my Directing class in school, I've had to some plays in preparation for the scene work that's to come later in the semester. One of those plays was Lorraine Hansberry's classic A Raisin in the Sun.
First, I want to talk about the positives. A Raisin in the Sun truly is a moving play. It's honestly one of the best examples of how good American theatre can be. It's expertly paced, each act ending with a crescendo that begs the audience to come back after the intermission. The cha... Read more
Review:Just what the rancher needed. Rancher Matthew Clay was as solid as an oak, unmovable as granit. Until temporary housekeeper Jaimie Greene came to the Double C. She was the queen of calanity, riskier than a Wyoming winter. And feisty redhead's tempting innocence and sassy rebukes drove Matthew to distraction. But experience had taught him that a tenderhearted city gal didn't belong on a remote cattle ranch and she woildn't stay. Still he'd never met a woman so determined to prove herself. ... Read more
Review:The story line keeps moving throughout the book as they always seem to do with a James Patterson novel. Didn't realize until the end who the bomber really was. Good suspense, great ending. I Love that nana momma is still with us. She has a small part but always good.
I would recommend this book for anyone with a thirst for well written fictions. Read more
Review:Too many typos. Main character is pompous. The writing is lacking something that I can't quite put my finger on- It's missing some depth. Doesn't flow very well, and sometimes doesn't make much sense at all. Like that whole situation with "juanesia".(and that name is distracting.)And why must each character yell and scream during (ahem) certain activities? Kinda unrealistic. On par with the writings of that Weber guy. Read more
Review:I enjoyed Temple Secrets. The description of the South Carolina coastal area and Savannah made me want to take a trip. I loved the character of Queenie and the relationship between Queenie, Violet, Old Sally and Rose was precious. Definitely a feel good book. Read more
Review:This was my first and last mystery by Mosley. The protagonist requires a great deal of willing suspension of disbelief. He is a 5'6" Jack Reacher. The plot is full of murky villians backed by nefarious big business conerns. Mosely does keep a nice pace to the narrative and the plot line is not transparent. You will be kept guessing. Read more
Review:I found the book engrossing. I was eager to know what happened. My goodness, I was extremely worried about the main character and his family making the journey to Canada. Whew! I was so relieved when they made it. Read more

Review:His For A Week: Bought is a short introduction to MCs Ben and Kimani, and served as the provocative prelude to the His For A Week series. Both MCs come across as strong, intelligent people. And while the sex slave auction scenario has been played before, the author added a hot, involuntary buyer and an intrepid, undercover journalist seeking a blockbusting story and retribution. The chemistry between Ben & Kimani is strong and the sexy times are hot. The antagonist is such a jerk that you lo... Read more
Review:A very confusing inconsistent book. Didn’t like the beginning, they just started talking. I didn’t know any back history who was talking and why. Kurt and Nikki had no bond no build up. Wasn’t for me.
