The Long and Faraway Gone: A Novel
The Long and Faraway Gone: A Novel

Review:I love how this novel took a few different stories and wove them together, keeping a lot of the mysteries alive throughout the entire book. Great characters who will stick with me for awhile. Recommend!!! Read more

You Loved Me At My Darkest
You Loved Me At My Darkest

Review:This book was definitely hard to get through, with very frank talk and incredibly descriptive scenes about trafficking. The writing is fantastic and I would read again to experience the relationship bloom between Jake and Lily all over again. It's enough to make you cry to see how they come together in some very serious, dangerous circumstances. Read more

Imperfect Monster (A Dark Romance)
Imperfect Monster (A Dark Romance)

Review:I was lucky enough to read the novella version of “Imperfect Monster” and now I feel as though I got to eat the cake WITH the frosting and a whole bunch of pie to go along with it. This story was decadently dark and so delicious, it gave me goosebumps in all the right ways. If you haven’t become a fan of Jennifer Bene yet, what are you waiting for? Her stories will keep you up late at night and leave you wanting more. Read more

A Kenzie and Gennaro Novel (Patrick Kenzie and Angela Gennaro Book 6)
A Kenzie and Gennaro Novel (Patrick Kenzie and Angela Gennaro Book 6)

Review:Lehane doesn't crank out suspence novels like say Patterson does and the care and time he takes show. I particularly like how he shows both sides of a moral dilemma rather than telling you how to think. He leaves you asking, 'What would I have done?'. He also shows multiple sides of many of the characters. The 'good guys' are flawed and some of the 'bad guys' have their own sense of ethics.

I do think it is very helpful to read, 'Gone Baby Gone' first in order to have a full understan... Read more

A Small Town Kidnapping Mystery - The Abducted Super Boxset
A Small Town Kidnapping Mystery - The Abducted Super Boxset

Review:This was an excellent read. I only like criminal mysteries but almost all genres of them--suspense, murder, who done it and abduction. This book (book one in a series) covered all of my favorites in one book. I am looking forward to beginning book two. I recommend this book to anyone wanting a good plot with an ending which is just the beginning-want to know why? Read it for yourself and find out! The second book was basically about three players. Miriam, her daughter, Ana and the crazy and del... Read more

Defying Her Mafioso (The Vitucci Mafiosos Book 1)
Defying Her Mafioso (The Vitucci Mafiosos Book 1)

Review:This has the promise for a great mafia series. Told from a dual POV it was interesting reading their thoughts throughout.

Scarlet has been in love with Ciro since she was younger but he has fought it at every step, even getting her father to send her away to Sicily for 3 years. Now she's back she's trying to pretend he isn't there but that isn't easy when she needs to turn to him for help.

I did love Scarlett and Ciro's relationship, he believe he was a monster that didn't deserve ... Read more

For Fallon (Chicago Syndicate Book 1)
For Fallon (Chicago Syndicate Book 1)

Review:Luca is a high ranking official in the Chicago Syndicate. Fallon is your average girl next door, a lover of romance novels and quiet nights alone. One night, her roommate convinces Fallon to spend a night on the town in a popular club and that's where Luca's and Fallon's world collide.

Even though Luca is only supposed to make contact with Fallon because of her ex-boyfriend being a former hacker for the Syndicate, he falls in love and begins a serious relationship with her, and that's whe... Read more
