Review:Having just completed (with some effort), Sandford's latest work, "Storm Front", my recollection of "Shock Wave" is that it was slightly below par for a Virgil Flowers investigation, but was still far better than his latest offering. Shock Wave is a tale of a bomber running amok against a powerful super-store owner whose new build has divided the community in a rural town. There is a sub-plot of local council corruption, including pay-offs by the rich developer. The plot does stretch credibility... Read more
Review:These are becoming a bit formulaic. The character development is not so hot. The treatment of the main character is as a cardboard cut out, so much that one can predict a lot of what he will do and say. The plot screams right along, the bad guy is bad, it's a nice breazy, quick read. Get the paper back. Read more
Review:"I can see that you and I suffer the same affliction. We love death."
I was intrigued by the blurb right from the start, because it was really unique. I had no idea what to expect so I went in with an open mind. It was different and the writing style (second person POV/internal monologue) threw me off in the first quarter of the book. It took me some time getting used to it but that didn't take away my interest in the story.

Review:I liked the story very much. It was a real page turner. I was terribly disappointed when it ended. I had a load of questions that would never be answered. I gave it four stars because it was very good - as far as it went. Read more
Review:My favorite thing about this set was the interesting and enthralling way the story was told. It's hard to do much of anything that's new in this genre, but these books managed it with different perspectives of the same events. Read more

Review:This was not the best book of the series. I really struggled to finish this book. Normally I finish a book in a day, this book took me 5 days to finish. I love almost all the other books in this series but this on just didn't do it for me. Can't wait for the next book. Read more
