Review:Taleb has delivered another intriguing book that centers on dealing with uncertainty in life. With his now-familiar straight forward and engaging writing style, he exposes the reader to numerous and varied people and ideas that have shaped history. His main thesis is the importance of not leaving decisions up to bureaucrats, who have no "skin in the game". He cites several examples, especially related to the field of finance, where certain individuals are exposed to the upsides of decisions but ... Read more

Review:Written in the "olden days" of the Internet (i.e. late 1990s), Randy Komisar's "The Monk and the Riddle" is a classic with a timeless message: there's a fundamental difference between passion and drive. The latter is what propels type A personalities to succeed at anything they undertake. Review:I love this book because it validates my belief that will power and discipline are the answer for doing important things when in fact is about positive rituals connected to your values that motivates you to do the important things in your life. One great thing about this book that I really love when the author tied everything together at the end and even better actually gives a case study of an actual person. Outstanding!
What I learned is energy is the magic bullet and to maximize its power ... Read more
Review:Just think that sections for individuals and groups need to be segregated more definitively. Let readers go into group-related content when they want to, instead of making them go through tons of redundant content just to find a couple of relevant paragraphs. Read more
Review:This "book" is mainly a collection of quotes most of which are not original and/or are derivate work from known quotes.
The selection of quotes is not even good. There are many more quotes on achievement or success that are more powerful.
Also, some of the quotes underline a whining attitude and resentment versus bosses and leaders.
Leaders of corporations are there to CREATE VALUE and deliver results for the shareholders that employ them and in doing so they employ (and remunerate) pe... Read more
Review:This book is the most honest, real-world, practical guide to starting something new, or restarting something you have always wanted to do, that I have ever read. Acuff's honesty about his own journey to his "awesome" is refreshing, and gives me hope that one day I will be finding mine as well. Read more
