Management & Leadership
Review:Having attended cloud & Townsend's Ultimate Leadership intensive I can say this book unpacks one of the most lasting principles I heard, "Nothing is learned outside the context of relationship." Great read; difficult application! Read more
Review:Great book. All audio books available for this are incorrect. They quote some other book. Its best to stick with the paperback. Get a spare notebook and at least an hour or two when reading each chapter. Read more
Review:Dr. Diamond provides a systematic framework for negotiation that focuses on building and preserving relationships rather than blustery, heavy handed tactics. This leads to more productive discussions and deals, and more successful and pleasant negotiations. I highly recommend this book! Read more
Review:Despite this book's title, the book's content has very little to do with decision making. So what is it about? A simple summary eludes me, so I'll just let you find out. I gave this book perhaps more stars than it deserves because sometimes it's nice to sit back and think superficially (i.e., like a manager). Read more
Review:Peter Drucker has conducted an extraordinary thought experiment and corroborated his hypothesis with retrospective data. I really believe both the logic and the implications of his book. This is because I have been an innovator (scientist and manager) in Fortune 500 companies as well as tiny Startups and no matter what the environment, Druckers definition of the "seven sources of innovative opportunity" are exactly true in reality. Review:Great theory combined with practical direction to help one learn how to be effective...gives many fascinating examples in history to drive his points home. Provides a solid roadmap to undoing your ineffective habits and teaching yourself what changes you need to make to start becoming effective. I appreciated the message that becoming effective is different for everyone but a process and a difficult ongoing one at that. One day at a time! Read more

Such an exploratory journey cannot be made without great sacrifice, however. The author states well, the reality of needing to detach ourselves from the electronic world long enough to focus on a higher calling. I love what Phil says about needing to follow passion, and then passion ignites the achievement of dreams. Phil is well re... Read more
Review:Asking dynamic questions to get the listener thinking is key. I like this text for that. I am a new coach, and this helped me collect some probing questions. Printing quality is not top notch, but fits the bill. Read more
Review:This book takes you back to the basics and leaves you excited and inspired. I only wish this was mandatory for all upper level management (all the way to the top) to read and be reminded quarterly. Companies like Walmart, SAMs Club wouldn't have so much turn over and law suites. Read more
Review:This book is classic. It is probably not the only book you will need to become millionaire, but it has amazing psychological insights from which ANYONE would benefit. This book will improve you as a person. Read more
