Review:Jack Blank and the Imagine Nation is basically awesomesauce. I mean, we have killer robots, superheroes, orphans, a secret island, and SO much more.
First, we have Jack. He's had a pretty miserable life at the orphanage, so when he finds out he has super powers and there's a place where he belongs, he's pretty ecstatic. But then he gets there and almost everyone in Imagine Nation hates him. Jack gets a little down at this, understandably, but he doesn't give up. He pushes onward working t... Read more
Review:This book has spurred lots of discussion with our 3 and 4 year olds. It has added a new phrase to how we talk about the way we treat each other. We now talk regualrly about whether our actions are adding drops or taking away drops from our buckets and it seems to hit home. We really love this book. Read more
Review:As a counselor, I use this book with younger children (ages 5-8 primarily). It has activities so the kids can move around as we read through the book. I certainly would not recommend this as a bedtime book, but it is a fun book to read together and talk about personal space and boundaries. It gives you a fun way to talk about these topics later on that doesn't sound like a lecture which I think parents always find very beneficial. Read more
Review:This is a wonderful book for explaining to children how they can take responsibility for their own day by listening and paying attention. I read this VERY often to my two children, 3 & 5 to go over how they could have made their own days better when we have "rough" days. Read more
Review:An amazing book. The illustrations are beautiful and the texts are straight to the point. My 4 year old takes it and shows me what she feels whenever she feels a new or uncomfortable emotion.
A must have book! Read more
Review:I purchased this book because of its great reviews. The book appears to be written for younger ages, however, it is very LONG, wordy, and repetitive. I do not recommend this book unless the child has a long attention span. Read more
Review:This book is absolutely fantastic. I'm going to school to be a teacher and am required to present full lessons to my cohort, addressing them as though they were my second grade students. I read this book during a quick mini-lesson on emotions. Everyone loved it! Nearly every one of my classmates has gone out and purchased this book to add to their classroom library. Read more
Review:It was an awesome experience for me . The first one was pretty lame for the people who read Diary of a wimpy kid . It's very original and real how Nate gets stuck in a problem. My final word :AWESOME AND MEGA HILARIOUS Read more
Review:my 8 year old grandson's teacher had suggested these books for him. he enjoys reading mysteries. my daughter says that he really likes these books a lot. it is difficult to select books for children, but a recommendation from a teacher is always a good place to start. this is an older series, but I am sure I will order more of them. Review:What a fantastic series for young readers! As a parent, nothing is more satisfying than discovering a book you hope your child will pick up and enjoy every moment they spend reading it like you did. This is one series my son is anxious to start reading this year, and I can't wait for him to start it. Jack Blank's adventures span three books, The Accidental Hero, The Secret War (the links go to my reviews for each book) and the final book in the series, The End of Infinity. What an awesome serie... Read more
