Review:Another Jackie Collins marvel. A great insight into Lucky's daughters world (Max) and what its like to be the daughter of Lucky and Lennie. But its not all about Max, there is of course a problem that Lucky must handle in true Santangelo fashion. A great read. Read more
Review:Shows just what is wrong with Hollywood, Vegas, stardom, children of SOME of the wealthy, etc. Every chapter was very predictable especially if you have kept up with the news in the last 5 years. Just a lot of scenes, language, and excess to try to shock the reader. Didn't happen--mostly just sadness for these lost children who have money but no attention. Just a disappointment and don't plan to read any more of her books as they are basically all alike--at least the ones I have read are. Read more
Review:Lady Boss. Jackie Collins, 1991, (629 pages) is the third in the Lucky Santangelo series, Chances 1975 and Lucky 1984, being the first two. This book sort of continues where “Lucky” left off. Lucky and Lennie Golden are now married and because Lennie is griping about his part in a movie, Lucky plans to surprise him by purchasing Panther Studies who is in charge of Lennies movie, however Lennie is not pleased and there is major discord in their marriage. The second major plot line brilliantly tie... Read more
Review:Only recommended for diehard JC fans . I enjoyed this book but could see why, for the general reader, it may not be appealing . Unless you've read another book of hers called Lovers & Gamblers, you probably aren't going to appreciate the intricacies of the characters . Many (Al, April, Karmen) that are introduced here are developed more fully in that later work . This book has a lot of comedy in it . If you approach it in a lighthearted way, you may enjoy it . There are a lot of characters a... Read more

Review:I always enjoyed Jackie Collins novels-- the Lucky character was my favorite, unfortunately this book seemed to be just stamped out from a clump of other novels regarding the Santangelo series. Nothing imaginative here Read more
Review:I fell in love with Jackie Collins writing years ago when reading Lucky. Since then, her novels have been somewhat disappointing. The Power Trip was a fast read but somewhat predictable. None of her publications since Lucky have been as riviting and "can't put it down" thrilling to read. Read more
Review:This would have been a better story if the ending hadn't been so obvious at the very beginning.. And it took way too long to reach it, due to the dithering and over thinking of the main character, Joy. I ended up skimming through a lot of "filler" pages that had little to do with the story. However, the author's biggest problem is the misuse and misspelling of words. Some examples are: exercising instead of exorcising, tool and dye instead of tool and die, donned instead of dawned, and wrea... Read more

This story got me in right from the start, I kept getting the feeling that something wasn't right, but I wasn't given any clues as to what it was. This made me want to keep reading to see where all this was leading & what a surprise when the plot all came together. The epilogue was a little worrying, history repeating itself?
This story is well worth reading & I'm looking forward to reading more from this author Read more
