Women's Fiction
Review:Service background is enlightning. Back and forth i e tit for tat is humorous and appropriately done in context. It included just enough previous characters from other books to be interesting. Looking forward to next in series. Read more

Review:A little more editing needed but it was fun. Good beach read. A little hard to believe that she could not take out more student loans or at a heavily endowed school get scholarships, but that's not the point. Read more
Review:Cleo is most definitely an interesting person! She not only has an - interesting - mom! I loved the scene where the family is around the dinner table and just like the commercials everyone becomes silent when dad speaks. Poor Cleo has had a tough time with relationships in the past, but, something happens when she meets Mark in person! Granted she has been fantasying about him for awhile so when she gets the chance to be with the real thing she is blown away! However, she overhears something the... Read more
Review:Read The Quilting Circle and really liked it. Ann Hood's style of writing was up my alley. Ordered The Book That Matters Most and enjoyed it even more. Find myself revisiting the plot lines often even after weeks of finishing the book. Read more
Review:Ashley, Natalie and Lauren have had a strained relationship for about a year. They make a decision to go to Mexico, hoping the relaxed atmosphere will help them heal old wounds. From the very beginning of the trip the ladies still have a hard time letting go of their anger. When Angela turns up missing after a night of too much partying, Natalie and Lauren are left to try and find her.
This is told in alternating chapters of before and after Angela went missing. In both timeframes, we... Read more
Review:Typical Frank story, woman from the "lowcountry" returns, finds love and stays. You know what they say "you can take the girl out of the Low Country, but you can't take the Low Country out of the girl."
Not as good as others that I have read, but I enjoyed it. Read more
Review:Wish I May was a fantastic read. This story takes place 7 years after the short and sweet story Stolen Wishes in which get to see William and Cally fall in love. William and Cally promised to make their long distance relationship work however things turned out far different from planned. Cally breaks Williams heart leaving him with nothing but questions as to why she pushed everyone away. Cally mother dies and she returns to New Hope with her sisters making her dad step up to be the father he ne... Read more
Review:I have read everything that Lisa Gardner has written. If there is a bigger fan of her books and writing, I would love to meet him or her. But this attempt at romance lit is just too light. It is not sexy or raunchy enough to be "real" romance lit. It is romance lite. Very prim and proper romance lit for a younger reader, perhaps. The story is very interesting in the beginning and then goes off into romance land. But having said that, I would read a recipe for hard boiled eggs if Lisa Gardner wro... Read more
Review:The storyline was good, but there was no character development to speak of. The story was also confusing at times, the beginning says Maddy moved into the Midwest, I'm assuming from Georgia, since that's where the licenses plates on the car are from, and she's attending the state college there. Also, it's mentioned that's she's over 21, no specific age given. But the story reads like she and her best friend Katie are just starting college. They rented a condo with their student loan money but n... Read more
