Review:Our pediatrician has recommended that my kids be on an anti-inflammatory diet as much as possible, but I have struggled to find recipes that are simple enough for a busy working mom to make, and tasty enough for them to eat. Madeline Given has provided recipes that do both: Not too many ingredients, and many of them look kid-friendly. I'm very thankful for this new cookbook that will hopefully help me to keep on track with serving my kids the kinds of food that their bodies need. Read more

Review:This book is serious! This is not some watered-down "How To" booklet. This was actually a little over my head. It is technical and designed to teach someone who actually wants to learn about distilling. If you really want to know about home distilling, this is the book! Read more
Review:When I started brewing I borrowed the 3rd edition from a friend to learn the ropes. I have now been brewing for 3 years and wanted to get this new edition mostly as a reference source. Its a great book with lots of basic info to get you up and brewing as well as some more advanced topics to help you fine tune and improve your beer. There are a few new tweaks in this edition, but I mostly use it to quickly review beer styles/ingredients/technical stuff. Read more

Review:This book has completely changed everything I thought I knew about whiskey! I learned something new every time I sat down to
read it. As a professional bartender I found the information on how to taste whiskey extremely helpful, it has already helped me to
increase sales of bourbon and scotch in my bar. An absolute must-have for bartenders, aficionados and the occasional drinker. Read more
Review:In this highly informative and interesting book, Tom Standage chronicles the evolution of food, explaining how humanity's first meals were hunted and gathered by people who literally lived off the land and how a shift towards farming and a development of agriculture prompted the first civilizations to be built. As people and cultures evolved, so did food's place in society, and as Standgae relates, food became, by turns, a power to exploit, a wealth to hoard, and a very special focus of politics... Review:This is far from my favorite Fools Gold story, but this is officially one of my favorite cookbooks now. If you're a gourmet chef or on a strict diet, then this may not be for you. It has great stick to your ribs recipes that are simple, fairly easy, and don't generally require a ton of ingredients. I was in my mid-twenties before I got into cooking so I use recipes for dinner a couple nights a week to keep things interesting. There are quite a few recipes in here that I'm planning to try for di... Read more
