Review:Till now the book is easy to read, interesting, and surprising. Although I am a physics, I know nothing about chemistry and the author give good explanations. Beside, the author has sense of humor and the book is funny. Read more
Review:Bought for a wedding shower basket not realizing the whole inside would be using the work f***, a little too vulgar for my taste. Beware because you will be charged $5.99 for return shipping when the product is only $8.91 to begin with!! Read more
Review:This is an excellent book for anyone just learning how to cook through the occasionally cooker. This book goes into detail in many situations where most authors generally assume the user knows how, which like I mentioned is greatly beneficial to anyone new in the kitchen and I even found a couple of tips that helped me. Review:I love this book. The recipes are great and easy (usually). I first saw it at a friend's house (a chef), and decided I had to have it. I bought the Kindle edition against my instinct, but am loving it because you can take the whole thing to the grocery store, or anywhere else easier than the whole book. I still may buy the real book too because it's so great. Read more
Review:I have reviewed this book. I love my Pressure Cooker and yes, it saves a lot of time. Ordered two more Pressure Cookers and books as gifts. I love cooking. The technique for making these meals are somewhat different. So far, I have succeeded in overcooking my meat. I will get the hang of it eventually. The Pressure Cooker is an assistant along with your other cooking. I don't think the recipes are all designed for "one pot" cooking however, but this is a great book and will guide you along to so... Review:Very much enjoyed reading this book. Not too complicated to follow and I like that about it. Like the Italian recipes especially. Saw this book at my daughters and had to purchase it. Liked getting it used in good condition. Read more
Review:I love this book!!! The photography is lovely, the recipes are completely different from her last book It's All Good, and the few things I've tried so far have been very very good. However, I took off one star because a lot of these recipes require forethought or at least 30 minutes to put together, which I don't mind but is simply longer than I expected, given the title. Furthermore- and this is my personal issue- I really thought it would contain less dairy products, like her previous book. Read more
Review:I am not a cookbook aficionado but I thoroughly enjoy this one. While many of the recipes require some "weird" ingredients, they can easily be substituted for "regular" ingredients. The illustrations and commentaries throughout are great. It is wonderful to see young children really eat healthy. Kudos to Ms. Paltrow! I am excited to continue to use many of the other recipes in this beautifully done book. Read more
Review:This is a beautiful, instructive book filled with complex and delicious recipes. Intimidating on first glance Four and Twenty Black Birds attempts to break everything down in a very visual manner so that you can disgard their instructions later and go by feeling (I am referring mostly with pie crust and temperature timing aspects.) The flavor profiles are out of this world and very doable. I have eaten at their home bakery in Brooklyn often and the recipes are of equal quality. I made the Junipe... Read more
Review:Overall I think the information about baby nutrition is good, but I didn't find the recipes helpful. They were complex and required much more time/energy than a new mom can invest. I barely looked at the book again after reading the nutrition basics (most of which I already knew). Read more
