Larken (Graceling Hall Book 1)
Larken (Graceling Hall Book 1)

Review:Although the plot was interesting, so many facts didn't add up. Why was Larken a destitute orphan when her parents were well to do. Someone should have been an advocate for her. Brandon was unbelievably rude and changes quickly. I guess the writing lacked depth. The author used a word that was not even a word until the 1960's in England. Found myself skimming as it was so predictable at the end. Read more

A Duke in Shining Armor: Difficult Dukes
A Duke in Shining Armor: Difficult Dukes

Review:Not enough premise for a relationship- the groom's best friend chases after his fiance to try to get her back to the wedding. And of course, along the way, both parties start having more romantic feeling towards each other ( no surprise there). I couldn't really see a reason for these 2 to come together when the bride should of spent more time w/ her fiance, instead of his best friend. Then mayb she wouldn't have felt compelled to flee. The Hellion (Wicked Wallflowers Book 1)
The Hellion (Wicked Wallflowers Book 1)

Review:This is the first book in a new series from the Sinful Brides Collection. You can start with it but I would recommend you to at least start with book one of the Sinful Brides to fully comprehend all the involved characters. Christi has the most amazing talent to connecting each of her series that she has written. In starting from the very first book she wrote, she has developed a lifetime of amazing and wonderful stories that you can not wait to start and where you dread for it to end. You beco... Read more

Stone Devil Duke: A Hold Your Breath Novel
Stone Devil Duke: A Hold Your Breath Novel

Review:I enjoyed this book so much that I finished in one sitting. None of the normal romance ridiculousness of each of the lovers lying to one another about their true feelings. They were honest and strait forward with one another the whole time. And the storyline was great. I laughed and cried and I was terrified all in the same book! I can't wait to read the next in the series! Read more

How to Capture a Duke (Matchmaking for Wallflowers Book 1)
How to Capture a Duke (Matchmaking for Wallflowers Book 1)

Review:I received this book free from one of the book sites. I do not remember which one! This is my honest review.
I had difficulty getting into the story, at the beginning. Just as I was beginning to enjoy & engage with the characters, a gratuitous sexual scene popped up. There really was no need for it either. After skimming over that & reading further, I held some hope for the story.
The characters met again & are on the floor of a cottage in another gratuitous sex scene.

Unlaced (Ashton/Rosemoor series Book 1)
Unlaced (Ashton/Rosemoor series Book 1)

Review:I got as far as chapter 12 and just couldn't go on.

The hero is a judgemental jerk. Henry had great looks and a title but no woman with an ounce of self respect would have given him a second chance. He blames the heroine for his lack of self control, and the stupid girl sets herself up for his abuse over and over.

The family who is supposed to be bringing her out in society didn't seem to have a whole brain even if they had all shared the same head.

The heroine wants to be ... Read more

A Historical Regency Romance Book - For the Love of a Duchess

Review:I really enjoyed reading, "For the Love of a Duchess". It is a clean romance, which is such a wonderful find in this day and age. It is also well written with character development that grasps you from the first few pages. You feel what the heroine is feeling and care about the outcome. I was so invested, I had to stay up and finish the book. If you like historical romances you will love this book and this writer! Read more

Lord Dashwood Missed Out: A Spindle Cove Novella

Review:I cannot provide spoilers on this one as it is sooo short I would practically ruin the whole thing for anyone else to read , so I will just say ,

(Originally published in the e-book anthology THREE WEDDINGS AND A MURDER)

Review:I find that novellas are often too short to develop a convincing story, but nonetheless this one was quite good. I was also pleasantly surprised (SPOILER) when Mr Wright turned out to be not as awful as everyone thought. Read more
