The Cross and the Switchblade
The Cross and the Switchblade

Review:This is on my required reading list for my kids ... but not until High School. This story is tough, heart-wrenching, heart-changing and most importantly, true. I recommend it to everyone - especially those who think they are too tough, or dirty for God. Read more

A Game Plan for Discussing Your Christian Convictions
A Game Plan for Discussing Your Christian Convictions

Review:"This book changed my life and my relationships in a very specific way. It encourages asking clarifying questions. One cannot do that without listening. Therefore, by example, it taught me to LISTEN to other people's WORDS, rather than just waiting for my turn to talk. I am sure that ALL of us could benefit by listening more and talking less. The saying goes, God gave us two ears and one mouth. Perhaps we should use them accordingly." -Darren Williams, Ratio Christi at SHSU Chapter Director Read more

Lead Like Jesus
Lead Like Jesus

Review:The authors present some simple truths to complicated problems of leadership. The battle between EGO and God's leading in our lives...the struggle for servant leaders to invert the organizational pyramid...the need for leaders to establish healthy habits to develop their character. Though the writing is a little unpolished in places, the principles are solid. Read more

and Everything Important that Happens in Between - How the World Began
and Everything Important that Happens in Between - How the World Began

Review:This is an excellent read! I think what Greg Koukl has done here is give the believer a means of linking the essential pieces of Christianity together and at the same time provided unbelievers a launchpad for properly understanding Christianity. I believe Christianity is as misunderstood as it is imbedded in our culture. The Story of Reality is an important piece to the public dialogue between those of us who hold to the Christian worldview and those who are interested in understanding that worl... Read more

The Miraculous Story of a Muslim Woman's Encounter with God
The Miraculous Story of a Muslim Woman's Encounter with God

Review:I would recommend this book to anyone with any experience or desire to interact with an Eastern culture. It is an amazing story of seeing God work in the life of one to touch the lives of many by her willingness to stay in the Presence of The Lord, no matter what He required of her. Read more

An Interactive Workbook for Individual or Small-Group Study
An Interactive Workbook for Individual or Small-Group Study

Review:We absolutely love this workbook. It has been very challenging (in a good way) and has brought lots of deep discussion within our small group. We do this study along with the DVD's, and it's been great. The way that Francis Chan writes/speaks is very conversational. It doesn't seem like he's trying to make anyone feel bad about where they are in life, but he brings a lot to the table when it comes to things to think about. Highly recommend this study for anyone in their journey. Read more

Gladys Aylward: The Little Woman
Gladys Aylward: The Little Woman

Review:Somehow, in our time, the adjective 'unique' has come to be misused and heavily overused. Properly it means hardly more than "only" or "the only one (of of its kind)." There is nothing like this story and surely nobody like Gladys Aylward.

In several pages is told the story of a warlord who converted, was then held prisoner by his own men, escaped, found his way back to Aylward's inn, and knew that "I belong to Jesus" fully explained his life. I cannot adequately summarize this particu... Read more
