Review:An excellent survey through the megawonder that is the human brain. Eagleman provides illuminating examples of how the brain is able to rewire itself when there is a physical injury. Sometimes there is some technical language, but likely that is to be expected. Some of the effectiveness of the text was blunted since I was reading on a kindle, thus color illustrations are not visible. The book is a guide to the TV series; unfortunately, I have not seen this. Review:Ok, some people think that writing pop science without being bombastic is impossible. Well, for all those people who think this way, and for all those scientists who produce bombastic nonsense and thus mislead the public about science, this book serves as a powerful reminder that it need not be that way. Popular science can be written honestly, and yet still engage the public's imagination. If you don't believe me, just give this book a try! Read more
Review:The book has some content, but as other reviewers noted, it is bad-organized and insufficient. The same way that in R the data frame is some sort of utilitarian ostrich that can sing, fly and run, this book is a crossing between a tutorial, a programming guide and a programming reference, albeit it does not excel at any.

Review:This workbook is a good basic book with both problems and the answers. It is helpful. I found the workbook problems a little more difficult then the actual textbook but I think that will be helpful in the long run to make you stretch your thinking of the concepts. Read more

Review:A great way to build conceptional knowledge of College/AP physics for general phys 1-3. If you're really interesting in learning about what is going on, I recommend getting one of these if they're optional for your class. The only issue is that you'll have to find a source for solutions, because it's not overly helpful without them. Read more
Review:I had planned on perusing this book although it is not the current required text. I just became so busy with the class and the actual text book that I never had time. I am leaving feedback so Amazon will get off my case about leaving feedback. Read more
Review:The "new edition" just move the questions around slightly and excluded some information. I would recommend buy something from TAN to get better explanation behind the steps. I get so tired of the "its magic" approach to math where the behind he scenes operations are never show, not even once in the examples. This book take that one step further and the new editions are just as bad. Read more
