Luckily .. the book is very detailed with many examples, because my teacher just breezed over most topics. We had to learn everything from the textbook.

Review:It is a text book... boring. Term after term - it seems to me many of which are just there for the sake of being a term. To be fair maybe that is the subject matter and not so much the book. But there has to be a better way, a more interesting way of conveying the information without forcing the reader to read a bunch of terms and their definitions. Review:A great little satire filled with wit, sarcasm and ultimately distress. Candide lives a life of artificial optimism which ultimately turns to distress, rejection of religion and a decision to "cultivate one's garden". Candide Finds an idyllic place called El Dorado and leaves there a very wealthy man only to slide to near poverty. A delightful and thoughtful novel well worth the small investment of time. Review:This is a great book about modern society and men. Even through it was written nearly 20 years ago, it is still completely applicable, if not more so. Written in a textual analysis of an ancient story, the author weaves current observations about our society into a discussion of how human societies evolved over thousands of years.
