Calculus, 7th Edition

Review:this book and the math department at OU in general is over rated. they do not explain things very well, and they treat it as though they are the only school that has a math department. this coming from someone who is good at math and doing well. Read more

The Macro View (19th Edition) (Pearson Series in Economics)
The Macro View (19th Edition) (Pearson Series in Economics)

Review:Before purchasing this book, double check if you will be required to access the MyLab utilizing the access code that should come with the text. Unfortunately, the great deal I thought that I was getting while purchasing this text was not a great deal at all. In order to gain access to MyLab I had to pay for the access. Unfortunately, the sum of money between purchasing this text at the advertised low cost and access to MyLab cost more than if I had purchased the text at full price. In other shor... Read more

Leadership: Theory and Practice, 7th Edition

Review:I purchased this for one of my college classes and have been enjoying the book so far. The one thing I do not like about it is the cover. Textbooks with paper covers do not last the entire semester if you are actually doing your reading and homework. Read more

Essentials of Investments (The Mcgraw-hill/Irwin Series in Finance
Essentials of Investments (The Mcgraw-hill/Irwin Series in Finance

Review:This is exactly what I needed! I was much happier paying around $30 for an actual book rather than $120 for a digital 180 day rental of the textbook. Great condition and I seriously could not be happier. The textbook itself isn't the most captivating as far as material goes, but everything else was perfect! Read more

Essentials of Corporate Finance (Mcgraw-hill/Irwin Series in Finance

Review:The book is very helpful for class. I never have any questions regarding homework or anything that the book itself cannot answer. I think the value of this book is way over stated however, because the content in this book is not that in depth. Overall a very nice book to have though, just wish I didn't have to pay as much as I did. Read more

Chemistry: A Molecular Approach (4th Edition)
Chemistry: A Molecular Approach (4th Edition)

Review:I expected it to come damaged or ratty; after all, it is a rented college book. However, it blew expectations completely out of the water. The book was almost completely clean, with nearly no markings inside the book. No water damage, no mold, no ripped or torn pages. Two thumbs up. Read more

I Heard That Song Before
I Heard That Song Before

Review:Actually this was pretty good..the only reason I gave it four stars was because I had to read it in fits and starts and really may not be doing it justice. The characters seemed to get a bit jumbled at the end as to what who was doing but really it's one of her better books.

A Guide to the Classical Education You Never Had (Updated and Expanded)

Review:I thought I was educated before, but this wonderful book taught me new reading skills and whetted my appetite for the classics. Though I went to a good high school and college, I spent most of my time hearing about how "great" the Great Books were, without being much encouraged to sit down and crack one open. The Well-Educated Mind has helped to change that, which is why I disagree with the negative review posted earlier on this page. Maybe we "should" have learned how, why, and what to read i... A Case of Possession (A Charm of Magpies) (Volume 2)
A Case of Possession (A Charm of Magpies) (Volume 2)

Review:I'm not normally a historical romance type person but this series is amazing. The characters burst to life and there are all sorts of intricacies woven in that keep them dynamic - so you never feel bored. Instead you feel like you are discovering just a bit about each of them as the story progresses. I adore the secondary characters who bring charm, wit, and an extra layer of depth. The fact it is a historical does not mean it is steeped in history - but it is awash in all sorts of themes from h... Read more

The Red Book (Philemon)
The Red Book (Philemon)

Review:One of the most important books to be published in recent memory. Jung's seminal oeuvre is not only important as a psychology book and specifically the study of the "Archetypes"; it is a critical study in the history of Western scholarship in general. It will go down in history in the company of works by Blake and De Lubicz. Read more
