Review:One of my absolute favorite cookbooks! The recipes are simple, with not too many ingredients, and are absolutely delicious. Several recipes from this book have become staples for me, and I look forward to trying more of them! Read more
Review:Beautiful cook book! Love the pictures, so I know how things are supposed to turn out. Only things I don't like is that there are no calorie information or macros listed. Also, overall prep and cook time would also be helpful. Read more
Review:To begin this book was shipped well and on time. The corners were a bit pushed in but was not a problem to me, just seemed like it may have been dropped. The book itself is amazing! Let me elaborate a bit. When I ordered this it was actually under the assumption it was recipes for crock pot cooking (beef and vegetables, chicken, or ham) this was not the case. This book has EVERYTHING! From cobbler to Mexican food and there is no easier way to get things done than throw it all in a pot and ... Read more
Review:This book goes beyond being a cookbook. Alice Waters has included many helpful facts and methods for foods and food preparation. Its a great book and I would highly recommend it to anyone interested in "good" cooking and food prep. Read more
Review:Everything I anticipated and more. Deb Perelman is a born story-teller. She puts you in charge of your kitchen by showing/telling how to pull off culinary magic. Everything I have tried so far has been spectacular, with the exception of the popcorn cookies. That was my fault. The popcorn I used wasn't great quality and it showed in the finished product.
Nice photos, great explanations, fun anecdotes.
This book is going to stay in my best-loved cookbook rack for a long time! Read more
Review:This book is fabulous! I have already made four recipes from it, and, seriously, once you understand what you're doing the cook-time is on average under 30 minutes. I love how straightforward, clear, and direct Roman is in her instructions. She really lets you know what things can be switched out or changed up and what things you really should put in a little extra effort to make or stock in your kitchen. I feel like I'm learning techniques to expand my cooking skills and not just recipes. If yo... Read more
Review:This quickly has become my favorite and most recommended cookbook. I have a middle school age son, and love to hand this to him and have him pick out a couple meals for us each week. The photo presentation of each and every dish is so inspiring, it makes you want to eat your veggies. I love the way it is organized alphabetically by the main ingredient as well, and lets you know what is in season when at the begining of each section. It's user friendly, and a great inspiration to eat beautifu... Read more
Review:Imagine Sid Stone (street pitchman from the Milton Berle's Texaco Star Theater) hawking this book:
You got your cashew parrot zygodactyl toes.
You got your Day of the Dead mini candy skull decorations.
You got your red-sugar-covered ice cream cone Gnome hats.
You say you're not satisfied? You say you want more for your money. Tell ya what I'm gonna do.....
I'm gonna throw in your fork pop mini treats (page 143).

Review:I have a few cocktail books and am very selective about the ones I buy and this is the best cocktail book I've ever read. It's everything I've ever looked for and this along with Dale Degroff Craft of the cocktail are probably the only two you will ever need. I can't recommend highly enough. Read more
