FINDERS KEEPERS (Lost & Found Book 3)

Review:Garth Black describe him self really good in this book; " I'd pretty much become my biggest nightmare. I was a rougher version of Jesse Walker. But a better looking one. A far better looking one." The girl how makes Garth into his worst nighmare, makes him every girl wet dream of a bad boy. Read more

The Graphic Novel series Book 2) - A Graphic Novel (Vampire Academy
The Graphic Novel series Book 2) - A Graphic Novel (Vampire Academy

Review:The adaptation process from book to graphic novel is always a risky one. This particular instance (as well as the prior graphic novelization of the first book) defied my expectations with the right amount of abridgment coupled with vivid and brilliantly accented illustration. A definite must-have for fans of the series. Read more

La Belle Sauvage (Book of Dust - Volume 1) - The Book of Dust
La Belle Sauvage (Book of Dust - Volume 1) - The Book of Dust

Review:The ending of the "His Dark Materials" trilogy leaves the reader craving for more of the story. This new book does not disappoint.

"La Belle Sauvage" tells the tale of how Lyra came to Jordan College at Oxford, and how a certain important object came into the hands of her caretakers there. Yet, the story is only incidentally about Lyra as an infant, focusing on those whose purpose is to keep her safe and deliver her to sanctuary, and those others who try to prevent that outcome. Pullman's... Read more

Warrior Mage: Chains of Honor, Book 1
Warrior Mage: Chains of Honor, Book 1

Review:There seems to be a trend in online publishing these days wherein authors put out partial books as a series. I liked the characters in this book, but the story seemed to drag a bit and the main characters ongoing squeamishness at having to kill persons who well deserved killing gets old. Okay, so he has moral values, let us not have them dragged out every time some crisis appears that means bad guys are going to have to die. My biggest critique about this piece is that it ends abruptly before an... Read more

Angle of Truth (Sky Full of Stars, Book 2)
Angle of Truth (Sky Full of Stars, Book 2)

Review:I enjoyed this second book even more than the first. Angle of Truth is the second book in the new Fallen Empire series, but can still be read as a stand-alone story since there are some explanations to bring readers up to speed. The action keeps coming and carries the crew of the Snapper’s along quite entertainingly.
Jelena, Thor, Erick and Masika’s personalities are shaping up and interacting well in this new story of would be mercenaries and the disingenuous workings of people in power. ... Read more

Sufficiently Advanced Magic (Arcane Ascension Book 1)
Sufficiently Advanced Magic (Arcane Ascension Book 1)

Review:Sufficiently Advanced Magic seems to me to strike a vector between traditional fantasy and LitRPG with something more like traditional computer RPGs being the inspiration rather than MMOs. For me, I think what weaknesses the book has come from the video game inspired elements and leaving those out would have left more room to develop the characters, the intrigues, etc. I would easily trade any of the pages of, "Let's plan our strategy" for more insight into the world or the characters.

Review:Once again Will Wight has managed to provide a fresh innovative fanatasy novel. Unsouled is a captivating novel that manages to provide an edge of your seat fast paced story within the massive mysterious world Will has created.
