Review:This is my favorite series by her. It was fun and I love me some Ian but I was disappointed that there was no growth for Leila. It's the last book yet she doesn't come close to resolving anything with her family. Just kept stuffing everything and tabling it for later. If anything I think Vlad is starting to drag her down. It felt like Frost was rushing to end this and is passing off one of her cookie cutter books. Reminded me a lot of her earlier Cat & Bones books where the characters ... Read more
Review:Great book! As always I can't seem to have enough. Though to my opinion chapter 11 came too quickly . When I finished reading this book I felt like something is missing in the plot. I wish the book was longer so I didn't feel like I only read half a book. Read more
Review:Finishing this book was an act of sheer will power.
It started well enough, but then it veered off to a place where trite and tired plots live. Ugh.
I think this series is better forgotten. And I'm sad for it, cause I did enjoy The Horsemen series a lot.
To you all out there, go read Larissa's other books, is a much better investment. Read more
Review:I've read all of Gena Showalter's books and I've loved them. So I don't know who wrote this book, but it couldn't have been Gena Showalter. This book bored me to tears! I found myself skipping almost whole chapters searching for, no, actually praying, there was something more interesting happening further in the book. No such luck. Solo did not live up to all the hype in the beginning of the book, and while he was likable enough, there was no chemistry between them. What a disappointment! If thi... Read more
Review:Not happy with the excerpt from the third book thrown in right at the end of this one BEFORE the epilogue. I want to read the second book without knowing anything about the third. Ugh! Other than that, the book was great!! Loved the circus act element! Loved Vlad. Loved the feel of the story. This is exactly how I like my vampire stories! Similar almost to Sookie stackhouse but still quite different. Read more
Review:I must start by saying that I didn't read `First Drop of Crimson' ( Spade's book) and `Eternal Kiss of Darkness' ( Mencheres' book) before I went onto `This Side of the Grave'. Maybe I should have as there is reference to Spade and Mencheres' relationships which are talked about in this book. Their stories are Night Huntress World # 1 and # 2. I would recommend reading those 2 books before going onto # 5 or else you get a couple spoilers, nothing too major but, enough. Dang me for not realising!... Read more
Review:After reading all of the Night Huntress books I was dying to read Denise and Shade's story. This was a great story. I listened to it on audiobook and the narrator does a spectacular job of capturing the characters' voice and their emotions. I love listening to these books even more than I love reading them.
Denise is trying to recover from loosing her husband when another of her family is brutally killed by something. The something is a demon who one of her ancestors made a deal with ... Read more
Review:This book was a real shocker to me. I was looking threw the free romances and came across this book! It had me from the start. You really get into the characters of this book. I didn't think I'd like it but,I loved it! So much so I've read the whole series and can't wait until the next one comes out. And I have gotten other series from this author they are just as good. Review:Mencheres has not been one of my favorite characters through the Vampire Huntress Series, and knowing this has obviously made me reluctant to review this title. My foremost concern was that due to my bias I would not be able to review this title effectively. So, here is to one of many times that an incredible author has proven me entirely wrong. Frost takes this slightly shady character, and transforms him into a dedicated and companionate personality that will dissolve fans previous impressions... Read more
Review:In this book, there are two shorts. The first by Sands is fairly typical of her work. The plot is straightforward and the romance is cute. The second story is worth the price of admission. It's a short in Frost's Night Hintress series. Like the other Bones and Cat stories, it is fast paced, creative, and takes a few unexpected turns. If you have not read this series, this short will have you itching to start at the beginning. Read more
