Review:Don't underestimate anyone! Charles was abused by his middle/upper middle class parents and he says that he was at fault for his problems but in reality his parents were at fault. He is too ready to blame himself. He is full of wisdom and humor and seems to have learned from the mistakes he made in life. This is a good guy. An interesting book. I wish him nothing but happiness. Read more
Review:Excellent book, easy read as the true stories really let you know what really goes on in media and if it wasn't for the people of Project Veritas we never would know. They should receive as much funding as NPR. Read more
Review:Hillary Rodham Clinton expresses a deep concern for the welfare of the children of the world. The birth of her own child brought home the reality of the many generational, cultural, and societal connections which make up a Village community and how these all affect our role as parent.
In this book about creating community (a Village) for our children, Hillary discusses the deficiencies, the poverty, and the inadequacies of today's family structure. She offers many suggestions and lists commun... Read more
Review:As an Arkansan and an acquaintance of the Clintons and an amateur student of their governship/presidency, I especially welcome Noonan's masterpiece of insight on the issue of "what the Clintons are". I have attempted for over twenty years to articulate that definition, and have found that if I had just waited for this book, I could have saved myself the trouble. The Clintons are everything Noonan says they are, and it's not a pretty picture.
For the reviewer from New York: if you don't... Read more
Review:The author filled this book with innuendo, insinuation, and gossip. Apparently, he didn't fact-check things that could have been verified, like whether Donald Burk was the father of Miss Franklin's son. There is no mention of any attempt to locate Mr. Burk, or to interview him. This book disrespects its subject, and is a testament to David Ritz's spite and malice. Read more
Review:My book arrived last night and I just finished it this afternoon! I couldn't put it down! Even though I have been following Gobi and her story since day one and I know how it ends, I was still holding my breath until the very end! I had no idea the story of Finding Gobi was so much more! I cried, I laughed, and I even got angry in spots! It's an emotional roller coaster of a ride with the bestest ending of all! It's my new favorite book and I hope one day to get to meet Gobi and Dion and may e... Read more
Review:Senator Lee has provided us with valuable mostly lost figures in US history. Their prominent positions were subjected to political biases that minimized their vast contributions. I found it interesting how short sighted even our founding Fathers were concerning the protections of our liberties were. Must read this book. Read more
Review:I particularly purchased several copies of this book, as it a true story. I went to high school with the main character, Carol. The tragic end to her life was so unbelievable and yet understandable. She was a wonderful, truly caring individual and you could well understand why she would become involved in prison ministry and become involved in the life of the man who became her husband. She was a brilliant student, in the National Honor Society and involved in every aspect of high school life bu... Read more
Review:I like the way she writes - very honestly and straightforward. Her story is familiar to me and I felt comfortable reading her words. There is no lecture, no judgement. There is only a good description of the choices we face and why we thought (or think) that booze can help us through them. Read more
Review:Dame Sheldrick has had an amazing life, no doubt. However, being a patron of the David Sheldrick Wildlife Trust and an elephant fosterer, I was looking forward to a story about her relationship with elephants and how she hit on the formula that finally enabled her to keep these precious orphans alive. That and pretty much everything else in this autobiography are glossed over and dealt with at a very shallow level. I was left feeling unsatisfied. I wanted more detail. This book is worth rea...
