Review:I learned some very interesting things about our first ladies, and found them sometimes more interesting than their husbands. A really good read for someone who likes history from the personal point of view. I highly recommend this work, and getting it on Kindle Fire makes it a really good deal. Read more
Review:I thought this book was very good. For someone interested in church and what a church is about it was tops. I thought that there were many things written about that would help a persons understanding about God. also it helped me to understand church leaders better. If you are not interested in going to church all the time and expanding your knowledge of God you may not get out of what the author is trying to tell you as much as I did. Read more
Review:Dr. Kengor writes well with good grammar and syntax. His research appears thorough and his footnotes are copious. I would have rated his work higher but for the fact he notes his earlier works rather than original sources. Read more
Review:This is an interesting read .. Definetly a departure from normal le Carre writing. It is a bit arcane and rambling. However as a reader and owner of all of his novels, I needed to read this book. You can read a chapter here and there. I have not finished it although I've had it for several weeks. It will be several more til it's done. Still a good addition to my library. Read more
Review:Just finished reading this excellent book about Gabby Gifford. I could not put it down once I started reading it. I loved learning about their relationship, who Gabby was and how she developed into a politician. The shared moments of Mark and Gabby were so real. I had no idea who Gabby was before that January day. Now I feel as if I am a friend. One will experience tears and laughter as you read through this moving story of an incredible woman who has only begun to fight. Her journey is going t... Read more
Review:I was always impressed by Laura Bush and the presence she brought to the White House. I think she helped to Make G.W. the man that presided over our country. I did not realize all the activities she was involved with, aside from what goes on in our own country. I think it's a good read and it leaves us in on the busy life of a favorite First Wife, which she really enjoyed being. Read more
Review:To one knowledgeable in literature this would be a fascinating book. I missed a lot by my lack of knowledge and unwillingness to take the time to do related research. Hope to read this again when I can spend more time enjoying the process of conversion. Read more
Review:I thought from the beginning to the middle was great advice as to what the reader is looking for, insights for weight loss. After that it just got really boring and went down hill for me. Lots of common sense. But I do love the sections on actual tips for weight loss, goals, etc. Read more
Review:Very interesting the way he covered the war but actually did not get into or bog down with specifics. While reading you could actually feel his attitude toward the war changing to the idea of "What am I (We) doing here and where is this going to end. I started reading and really couldn't put the book down until I fell asleep while reading. You felt like you were there from his descriptions especially if you had been there. Very well done. Review:It is the complete story of a great military career of a true warrior. As is usually the case if they had let the professionals run and fight the war we would not have left a bunch of kids dead and a war lost. Read more
