Review:While I appreciate the courage it must have taken the author to write this story of her life I found this book difficult to follow. It jumps around in time which in this particular case made it difficult for me to really gain a sense of what the author's journey entailed. If you are looking for a book that reads like a story versus an informative resource on transgendered individuals then this might be for you. Personally I was hoping for more of the latter. Read more

Teacher and literary genius Torey Hayden hits a high note with her captivating book, "One Child." I have been blessed with the opportunity to read this story and it truly is a masterpiece. Review:I didn't realize how well traveled Helen Keller was nor did I know that she had authored a book! My AAUW group is reading this for a meeting we will have where we must navigate a "course" and eat a dinner blind-folded. Very enlightening. Read more
Review:A wonderful example that women today follow. Her book gives us an inside look at her daily life, along with her professional career. From her Miss America title, two days later, her first national press conference, her marriage, along with her two children, she's a powerful woman. Being as I enjoy pictures, one of the best portions of her life that she shares with us is the center of her book. This portion gives us a six page photographic view of her entire life. Read more

Review:Wow! Where to begin... I bought this book after viewing the 48 Hours program entitled Deadly Obsession. I’ve been around the block several times as a psych nurse turned trial lawyer. I can say pretty honestly that I have heard it all at least once so very little shocks me. But Charlie Brandt keeps me awake at night.
I decided I would like to know more, a lot more. The murders of his wife Teri and his niece Michelle suggested this guy had developed a real taste for it. I was skeptical that... Read more
Review:This is an amazing story so heartbreaking in many ways. The girls parents never were available to take care of her. That was not her fault. They are to blame for what happens to her. The story is shocking how these predators work. I had no idea how easy they can get children in to this web of horror. Ms Rosenblatt if you read these reviews. I'm so glad you leaned on God to help you through this horrible nightmare. God will never leave you or fake you. Read more
