The Bellmaker is a good book by Brian Jacques. Joseph the
Bellmaker is worried. His daughter Mariel has not come back
from her voyage of adventure that has driven her Southward
to fight evil. He gets the message that something went wrong
when Martin the Warrior comes through a dream. Martin the
Warrior is a spirit mouse who comes to the creatures of Red-
wall Abbey to tell the creatures of Redwall what to do. Only
with the help of four woodlanders, the sea otter, Finbarr
Galedeep, and some other friends will the Southbound Company
be able to get Marial back and to get a revenge on the fox-
wolf, Urgan Nagru, and free Southward forever. Maybe!!!

Hello My name is Heidi and I want to tell you a little about this book. The Bellmaker was a great book. This book is a fictoin book about a badger,a mole and a mouse. All 3 of them form a army of different animals that all get along in the battles they fight for land or a place to live. They travel by boat and walk on land. The reson I liked this book is because it had a lot of adventure. I would recommend this book to ANY ONE who likes to feel like they are with the charectors in the book. THIS BOOK WAS A GREAT BOOK! PLEASE READ IT! YOU WILL LOVE IT!

Three new Redwall books have come out since I last read this one, and yet The Bellmaker is still my favorite Redwall book, and second favorite book, EOP! I would love to see Jacques go back to Southsward someday...

Urgan Nagru the Foxwolf has taken over Southsward, and it is up to Joseph the Bellmaker to stop him. This book, is exciting and true to the line of Redwall books. A definite read for Redwall fans (or anyone else - they can be read alone). Have fun reading it!

I've read every single redwall book, from Redwall, to The Legend of Luke, and this one has to be the best. I love all the characters, expecially Joseph, Rufe, Hon Rosie, Mariel, and that Hare guy. (Notice i named about half of the main characters) There's just so much to love. The characterization is sound, and the dialouge is witty. This book is just great.

"The Bellmaker" is, in my opinion, the best book in the Rewall series. Joseph the Bellmaker is worried about his daughter Mariel and her companion, Dandin, three years after they went journeying. In those three years, he has heard nothing from them. So, he meets with Finnbarr Galedeep, a sea otter, and they go south to Southsward, which is under the control of the evil Urgan Nagru, also known as the foxwolf. Now, Joseph and Finnbarr must fight to retake Southsward, with the hepl of Mariel and Dandin...

The Bellmaker is a novel in which Joseph the Bellmaker, and 4 other followers, set off to help Joseph's daughter Mariel. According to a message given to Joseph in his dreams, his daughter is in deadly danger. In the meanwhile, Gael Squirrelking's kingdom has been infiltrated by an evil fox, known as the Urgan Nagru. The Urgan Nagru crotrolles a vicious horde of rats which have flooded Castle Floret, the Squirrelking's castle. Many things happen in this action-packed story. Highly recommended for any age.

Sweet charictors though routhless villans. 2. Viloance that also teaches you," Bravness can be mastaken for foolishness at one point. 3. Makes you not want to not stop reading. 4. A touching tale 5. Many more!!!!!!!!!!!

In this epic tale of freedom and independence, Mariel of Redwall and Dandin of Redwall are traveling south and they come across the wastelands of what was once Southsward. They then are captured by the evil Urgan Nagru and his mate Silvamord and their evil horde of dirty grey rats In the end, they escape and there is a great battle, whereupon Finnbarr Galedeep(a sea otter) slays the Urgan Nagru, but in doing so, gives up the ultimate sacrifice so that others can be free; his life. It was an extraordinary book and I would highly recommend it to anyone who can read. Redwaalll!!!

I LOVE THIS BOOK! It is the best one of the Redwall books I've read so far! Okay, this mousemaid Maril, is looking for adventures with her compaions, Dandin & Bowely in a huge wasteland, far from Hers and Dandins home, Redwall Abbey. They find out that a foxwolf ( a fox who killed a wolf)is ruleing the land of Southsward very unfairly. They try to stop him but they get captured by him. Back at Redwall, Maril's father, Joseph, decides to look for her, because she's been gone a long time. It's a very GOOOD book!

Joseph the Bellmaker continues to worry over his daughter, Mariel, who has not been heard from for 4 seasons. Martin the Warrior comes to him in a dream, informing him of the perils that she and her young friend Dandin are getting into with the evil Urgan Nagru, the fox-wolf warlord. Well described characters, intruiging events, luschous banquets, huge battles and a smooth, flowing plot line make this seventh entry to the Redwall series one of the best yet.

The Redwall series is an excellent source to get young children picking up the books instead of the remote. I have two boys and these are the first books that I've bought for them that I'm not fighting with them to read. I definately give Author Brian Jacques a pat on the back. "Lord Brocktree" is our latest purchase, along with "The Bellmaker"' and "The Long patrol." Mother of two big time RedWall fans.

I loved this book! I have read all of them and I have to say, I think this is the best one of all! The character development is excellent and you feel as if you know everybody even if you haven't read any of the others. Truly, an amazing feat. This is also one of the only books that was able to make me cry, and believe me, that's a big task. Everyone should read this book, especially if they want to get into the series.

Hi I read "The Bellmaker". I thought that this bookwas very cool. It had lots of action and fantasy. It was coolbecause there were three little stories that became one big story. Then it went on from there. I fully recommend this book to everyone.

This book was good but not spectaculare. I think it would be better if they caught every bad animal in the castle and came up from Egbert's tunnels. This book is just not as good as the other books of the redwall series.

I believe that The Bellmaker is a wonderful quest to find twocourageous young Redwallers. On the way they meet Bowly Pintips,Egbert, Muta, Gaul, Serena, Truffin, Furpp, Iris, Meldrum, Rab and others. This saga is a wonderful opportunity to find friendships, hatred, fear, sadness, happiness and bravery. If you are thinking of reading this book, I, like molebabe, say "Redwaaaaaaaaallllll!"

I have become a big fan of Brian Jacques. I have read all of the books in the Redwall series except for two: Legend of Luke and Lord Brocktree. I just started reading them this September. I have loved almost all of them. This one was definitely not one of my favorites. I dont want to spoil this book, so I will not write anymore.

I have been reading the Redwall series since my friend introduced me to it, three years ago. Since then I have read every single one, except The Long Patrol, only because it has not come out in paperback. This is one of the best series I have ever read. The plot of this story is just spellbinding. It draws you in and only lets you out after you read the whole thing.

hEy this review is not only for the bellmaker, but for all of the redwall series, i have read them all. If anyone out there thinks brian jaqcues is a great author, think again. these books are all the same, same plotline, same elements, you read one , you read them all. And I also think that he overuses a lot of stuff, like the molespeech, and the bloodwrath. Lets try and keep some realism in this, how could a mouse ever kill a fox, it's impossible, but it happens often, the only book that was good at all, was salamandastron. After reading this review, i hope you will come to your senses and realize that he is not a master of fantasy, more like of immature, childrens books, for fantasy, it is tolkien all the way, the lord of the rings!

The Bellmaker is an excellent adventure book and definitely oneof the best Redwall books written. The characters are interesting, asis the storyline, while the fast pace makes it a hard book to put down. I would most definitely recommend this book to anyone interested in either Redwall books or just a very interesting story.

This book, for some reason, did not live up to my expectations for a Redwall book. Even though it had great characters, great action scenes, but not a good enough plot to support them. I still would reccomend almost any one of the Redwall books, but this is an exception to the "almost any one".

I really think The Bellmaker is a really good book for people who like adventure books. But, its also sad. When Finnbarr Galedeep died. I almost cried. They stayed on the ship to long thats when it got boring. Who would have thought Redwallers would steel.
