All the Sandy Cove books are outstanding. As I finish each one I look forward to the next in the series. The author's understanding of many of life's details is amazing. For example she knows exactly all that a middle school teacher does and feels and how an older person's body can fail as the mind remains sharp. She also has a deep understanding of living as a Christian in today's world.

This book is definitely my favorite. It's so full of comforting and truthful scripture that I had almost completely forgotten about. It also touches on important facts that all young men and women teen and older should consider. Had me in tears by then end. Five stars!

Rosemary Hines addresses issues facing generations from the very young to the very old. She brings together these generations to show how they can be open and honest with one another. And to share their shortcomings in support and prayers for one another. A great lesson showing each generation is important and needed in every family!

This book was amazing & sad at the same time. The ending when Luke & Maddie figured out there feelings for each other was heart warming. I think you should make a 7th book about the journey & the love of Luke & Madison. I would definitely read it! ?

I enjoyed book 4 better, think because it was more relevant. The adolescent issues seemed to really drag on. But yeah, glad things worked out in the end. Think I'd like to read this whole series, but is it available in paperback?

What an enjoyable journey back to Sandy Cove. This series has been filled with great stories, great spiritual truths, and applicable themes, but this is by far Rosemary Hines’ best writing.
I’m sure you’ve heard the popular saying, “I am enough!” But do you really believe that? If you are relying on yourself for that worth, then you will fall short. But, if you are relying on the forgiveness of God, then yes, you are indeed, “Enough”! In the pages of Behind Her Smile, you will truly find your worth in God’s eyes. This is an awesome display of the forgiveness of Christ! It may be a fictional story, but you will find Truth within these pages.
In the beginning of the book I saw it as an awesome book for teen girls who felt the pressure from their peers to “fit in”. As I read farther, I saw it as a book for young women who looked back over their teen years with regret. As I read farther yet into its pages, I saw this as a book for mothers of adolescents who were trying to help their children find their way in this crazy world. By the time I read the last page, I thought, Wow, this book is for everyone! There was so much spiritual food spread out on the table to be feasted upon by all who curled up with the pages of this book. So pull up a chair, open the cover and join in the feast. Your heart will be filled! Your soul will find refreshment.

I have just finished reviewing "Behind Her Smile," the latest in Rosemary Hines' Sandy Cove series. I loved it! Rosemary told Madison's story with compassion and insight, and, in the telling touched on a number of the problems our young people face in today's world....none of them easy. She also showed the reader the prospective from each family member's (and friend's) point of view. I thought her notes at the end of the book were right on point as well. Great job, Rosemary! Looking forward to what comes next.

You can also find the rest of the books in the series at the store, and I think the first one is free! (less)
