If you haven't read Nero by Sarah Brianne, please read that first. Nero introduces this new Mafia crew which includes Vincent. The characters are developed in Nero and continue in Vincent's story. I love this series. It has a twist on the Mafia theme. I believe it is more intriguing because the story starts before they are made men. They certainly are a crew and a family. The men with their woman and friends are forming a tight family. A family that respects and supports each other no matter what.

“Family cannot be determined by blood. Family is determined by actions. Family is about trust. Family is about acceptance. Family is about love. True family is earned, not born.”

I love Vincent and Lake together. She is strong and independent. She is one to solve her own problems not look to a man to solve them. This provides for some entertainment when the man who loves her is alpha to the core.

If you have read Nero, this is a must read. If you haven't, read both. This is a great series. Thank you, Sarah Brianne. I can't wait for Lucca, Chloe and Amo's story.

Sarah Brianne is a really good author. I have enjoyed bother her books (Nero) and now (Vincent). I would reccommend both books. I am really looking forward to more books and great story lines from this author. I am hoping for a book about Lucca and Chloe, and I encourage everyone to read both books out from this author to see how the relationship unfolds for Lucca and Chloe.

I really loved the first book in this series. Nero was a really strong character but so was Elle. She didn't back down from anyone or anything. I also loved that she didn't immediately fall at Nero's feet. In this book, Vincent was still as strong but maybe too over the top. For some reason he came across as more violent than Nero to me, although that may just be my perception. I really didn't like Lake at all. I hate female characters that let people walk all over them and do nothing. She was pretty pathetic with how she let her stepfather and stepsister treat her, just to protect her worthless mother. And the way she kept hoping Vincent would pay her attention really annoyed me to. Her decisions showed a lack of intelligence and common sense. Since Elle was so different from Lake I'm hoping book 3 has a stronger female lead!!

It was well worth the wait! Sarah did a fantastic job. Vincent blew me away and Lake drew me back in. You could literally feel her pain during the start and the righteous indignation of Vincent when he finally pulled his head out of his rear and realized what was really going on! Can't wait for the next in this series and to see how much more Sarah can grow as a writer. It's a truly awesome book! Just one click it! You won't regret it.

I thought this was a great continuation of the Made Men Series. You saw the new characters connecting with the old ones and seeing glimpses how future books might go. Patiently waiting for Chloe and Lucca, hopefully next!

I absolutely loved this book. Vincent is seriously HOTTTTT. I love his take charge attitude with Lake. Totally in love with this series. I can't wait to read more about the other characters and get their story, and to also see who they get with.

ANOTHER HOT AND EXCITING ADDITION TO THE SERIES

Vincent is a made man, born of Italian blood & set to make his way up the ranks of the mafia.
Lake is the daughter of a foot soldier within the mafia and best friends of Vincent's sister Adeline.

This isn't your typical girl begins to fall for best friends brother type of read this is best friends brother making a claim on what he wants and what he wants is lake.

Lake has dreams of going away to college, she lives with her dad and also stays with her mum and stepfather she has hidden years of mental abuse by her step father and step sister from her father and all those that truly love her, she wants to escape the nightmare and also be free from any mafia links of her father, she no longer wants to be owned or controlled by anybody.

lake discovers that her father owes the mafia boss a lot of money through gambling and to rescue him from a death penalty she surrenders her college fund and in the process becomes indebted to the mafia and her dreams of college are a distant memory.

Vincent comes to lake's rescue more than once and the two become close. Vincent is a man-whore a single guy with a reputation who also loves the mafia life and the power, until lake he had never seen himself with a girl more than one night and fights his desire for her until he can't fight anymore.

Vincent is an alpha male, bossy, demanding, dangerous but has a softness when it comes to lake.
Lake doesn't want to be owned by anybody and the fight to make lake his is on.

I love these characters the possessive alpha males the man banter, I also love the closeness of the girls in this series, Adeline, Chloe,Elle and Maria.

The plot begins with lake at school being bullied by her step sister and all the characters in this series so far are in there late teens, so not the usual mafia type read with Nero,Vincent and Almo all in the lower ranks of the mafia family as sons of higher Boss's.

Fans of LJ Shen would also love this series.

Contains fan yourself hot scenes, action, angst and has a hea

Listened on audio and enjoyed the narration

What is it with these completely insane boys that I just can’t get enough of? I have no idea but sometimes the crazier they are the more I love them. Vincent is much crazier than his friend Nero. They are both on their way to becoming made men. Vincent is the player of the group. They all like their women, but Vincent, with his blue eyes and blonde hair brings them in like no other. And thats the way he likes it. He doesn’t have girlfriends or relationships. But his sister’s best friend, Lake, things are different with her. She brings out Vincent’s crazy like no other girl has.

Lake has a lot going on in her life. Much like the heroine in the first book, she hasn’t had it easy. She is tormented in a different way. She keeps her head up and stays strong, but Vincent sees it. And he cares enough to try to make things better for her.

I loved the dynamic of Vincent and Lake’s relationship. When Lake steps up and does something (stupid, yet heroic in a way) Vincent has her back. He claims her in his own way and makes sure she is safe and taken care of. I love when a hero can change like that. He still is who he is. He’s still a bit insane, but he always makes sure Lake is okay. That she’s safe. He puts her first. He is protective of her.

Even though Lake’s choices weren't’ always the brightest, I really did get her. I got why she made those choices. She is loyal to a fault, strong and determined. She really is a challenge for Vincent and I liked that she didn’t cower to him. They were a great match. They butt heads and challenge each other, but it keeps things interesting.

This is a series you can’t take too seriously. I mean, just like Nero, this book is pretty unrealistic and a little over the top but enjoyed it so much. I am dying for the next book in this series. They are like my own little guilty pleasure reads. I can’t get enough. And please please please gimme some LUCCA. I love him most of all and I can’t wait for his book. And also… Maria with her boy… yep. Need that too!
