A DeLuca Family Novel (The DeLuca Family Book 1)

OMG! This book is insanely good. KA Ware is absolutely incredible. She grabbed my attention from the very beginning and left me begging for more at the end. I love the characters. Carlo DeLuca is the head of the DeLuca crime family. He runs his empire with an iron fist. No one crosses Carlo Deluca. If you do, you'll watch your family pay the ultimate price before you meet your fate. Mia Caruso grew up with an abusive father and a mother who turned a blind eye. When she is brought in to face Carlo for her fathers treachery, he sees a fire in her that he can't ignore. This book is action packed and will keep you glued to your Kindle. I absolutely loved it and I'm looking forward to reading the other books in this series.

Ho-lee-shit! This book was absolutely PHENOMENAL! I'll be honest and say that I wasn't really into the whole mafia genre; but damn. I'm absolutely hooked. This book was a roller coaster ride of emotions that's for sure. But it was incredibly well written and keeps you on the edge of your seat. Highly highly HIGHLY recommend this!!!

Good crime family story about Carlo DeLuca, head of his crime family, who meets up with Mia while vetting out final punishment to her father who had ratted out the family to the Russian mob. Carlo had a rule if that happened the man would be beaten, tortured then his entire family would be killed in front of him before he would also be ended. Mia's father was not only a rat, but he was also abusive to his own family and his wife did not protect Mia when she should have. Carlo was impressed by what Mia had to say and also attracted to her. So much happens in this book with many murders, beatings, punishments, betrayals, war among the Russians and Italians, some hot intense sex, shoot outs, drugging, knives at play, revenge, and so much more. Mia is an interesting character, not sure if her or Carlo who is the most revenge seeking of the two and which one enjoys inflicting pain and payback more but she is definitely no slouch.

Great book ! I love how it starts off suspenseful from the first page and pulls you in . Books with a different plot and unique situations are what catch my eye and I would definitely consider this one of those . The only thing I didn't like is how the book ended so abruptly. I know that it talks of Mia and Carlo in the next book vendetta but not in depth like it does in Omerta. Still hoping for another book release in the deluca family series . Must read !
